SPEAKER_03

I said a Zabrog, huh?

SPEAKER_02

Vlad. Uh, whatever. I mean, it's I'm sure it's Vlad tomato tomato, right? Is anybody really wrong? I mean, language is made up, anyways. It is. It's just a bunch of syllables. Buckle up, it's the Insurance Dudes Podcast. Boom! Boom! Boom! We're not really do we're not doing that next season, are we?

SPEAKER_03

No more boobs.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe it'll sneak in sometime.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um, maybe this is gonna be fun. Little it is. Maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe I threw it a baby.

SPEAKER_02

That's a little inside joke between me and Craig. Uh-huh. So, like, if somebody gives you a good idea or is really excited about something and brings it to you, you can always just say, maybe. And it really deflates someone.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but I also think that it's it's really instead of just saying, No, that idea sucks, you just kind of go, well, maybe.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. It feels horrible. Or if somebody says, no, this is the way it is, that's the best. If you're debating on something and like, I read this about this, and this is the way it is, and you're like, okay, maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Like it's like it's do you think that it's it's like a passive aggressive approach to 100%.

SPEAKER_02

So now Craig and I joke with each other. If somebody is excited about something, we try to deflate the other person with the maybe. Yeah, it is fun.

SPEAKER_03

It's a really good way to support your fellow dude.

SPEAKER_02

Here's the thing we're both married, and uh we can't yeah, exactly. You can't do this thing, you can't do this with your significant other, but you can bust each other's balls to all heck, so that's what we do.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, chops. Did you be chops? Bust chops.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, chops, yeah. Is that that's not appropriate, huh?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Cancel culture. Maybe maybe.

SPEAKER_03

So so here we are. Uh we went through the sixth eggs, which we're not gonna rehash because that would be beat it a dead horse, right? Maybe I want everybody listening right now to just shout out, maybe oh, and if you really here's your extra credit. If your significant other tells you something that they really love tonight, just say, ah, maybe. See how that goes over. I am not a psychologist, and this is not psychological recommendations. Maybe not a marriage counselor, this is not marriage therapy recommendations.

SPEAKER_02

You do not want to take marriage advice from us.

SPEAKER_03

All right. Well, I don't know. I think I I'm it's getting a little well. I, you know what, I'm not even gonna say I don't want to jiggle.

SPEAKER_02

Craig Craig's doing good. Craig, Craig's actually the wise old man at this point.

SPEAKER_03

Well, here's the key just get the kids out of the house, you know, just get them out. Yeah, that that's helpful.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so we're three minutes in and we have not told you what we're doing. So we talked a little bit about reflecting. So we're gonna go through the last year, starting with the first episode. Well, no, we're not gonna go first off, I want there's there's gonna be good stuff in here, so no, we're not going through every single one, but we're gonna reflect a little bit on uh some of the good stuff that we uh that I thought was good.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was all good.

SPEAKER_02

It was all good, all good. Well, maybe maybe well there was that there was a section where we were behind in episodes and we threw in some rewind reels that it looks like what was even a rewind reel that it wasn't even called a rewind wheel reel.

SPEAKER_03

Try to say that fast. Rewind rewide reel. Rewind wheel. Maybe but I did love those ones. Alderted, JB Alderted. That was a really, really, really strong episode. And we got some other gradies. Oh, Robin Sharba, don't squeeze the Sharba.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, but the first one of the year was making a declaration for the year. Yeah, so I I'm not sure if if you guys did this, but did you follow through with your declaration that you made? Did we?

SPEAKER_03

Did we? What was our declaration? There it lies the problem, right? Huh.

SPEAKER_02

Right. But going into this new year, it's a good idea to have a declaration for the year. What are you declaring that that you're gonna do? Remember how we talked about it when you declare something, if it's like setting the tone, it's that setting the flagpole on the moon.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I know you I know what you mean. Just like on MTV. Yes, there was when there was music on it.

SPEAKER_02

That's literally what I was thinking about. But yeah, it's making a declaration, not saying I might do something or maybe, it's saying I'm I'm doing this, this thing, you know?

SPEAKER_03

And it should be a little uncomfortable, that thing that you pick a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

Push yourself, right? That's make it a b hag. Have some b hags this year.

SPEAKER_03

Craig, do you want to define yeah, big, hairy, audacious goals? I like those. Yeah, is that from the guy that was the uh CEO of Intel? I think so. I think that's who it is.

SPEAKER_02

I think so.

SPEAKER_03

B Hags, big, hairy, audacious goals, right?

SPEAKER_02

We had some like Jeff Lerner, we had a bunch of loan officers this year and some real estate dudes and dudettes, which was cool. This upcoming year, we're really focused, we're really focusing on agents, and we have some some really cool stuff that we're asking the agents and getting. We've already recorded a few of them, and we've gotten some just gold. Yeah, gold, gold, Jerry, gold, Jerry. One one of the books. Oh, you go.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I was gonna go a different direction. I was saying, or I was gonna say, or thinking, like, I think that this year was good, like it was a good year production-wise at our agencies, it was great in the ability to help agents, but I think there were there were some points where we maybe I don't want to say lost is too strong of a word, but I think that where we weren't narrow enough, right? Our focus got kind of all over, uh, not all over the place, but it widened, right? We may have veered out of our lane a little bit with uh let's bring on the loan officers, let's let's talk to realtors. It's like that's all great, Dandy, but I think what's gonna be really valuable for this coming up year and how we're changing and redefining our goals is it's very agent focused, and it's gonna be agents on the podcast, right? Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Unless, I mean, the only turn to that is maybe during tax season we might bring on somebody that'll help with the questions of how do we maximize last year or whatever, specifically geared towards an insurance agent. So it's gonna be very centered around actionable stuff, every episode that you can take and crush it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and that's why this is the T minus.

SPEAKER_02

This is the T minus.

SPEAKER_03

So we had uh those great episodes. Why don't we keep going?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so one of my one of the things that we did in January uh was obstacle is the way. We talked about that uh Ryan Holiday book. I love that book. Yeah, and I think we talked about his other books, but Obstacle is the way is basically saying that a lot of the the challenges and stuff, like with if there's a problem, yo, I'll solve it. Oh having that kind of mentality, right? Like the problem is the way, like the problems are the re reason why, like what happens if your car gets destroyed? Well, you need insurance. That's the like the problem is you bought an expensive car and now you need to insure it. And the insuring it is the solution, right? Right, every business is solving a problem, so right, looking at problems as a good thing, uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and I mean that even comes most recently, right? Somebody whose episode has not yet dropped brought up that whole notion of look, we're gonna have problems. Yes, no matter what, that's the human condition. Guess what? You wake up today, there's gonna be some problem, and you could redefine it as a challenge, which then you're gonna get a lesson from. But regardless, something will come up, right? Yep. Even if you're laying on the beach, something's gonna come up. It could be a suntan or sunburn, right? Or whatever. I mean, definitely your spouse is gonna get upset at you about something. So that's gonna be one. But I think that it when we embrace those and we look, we look for the lesson, we where's the opportunity in it? You know, it's it it goes back to mindset, it goes back to what how are we viewing the things that come at us? Yep, because I'd rather have big giant challenges that are related to having big giant wins 100%, right?

SPEAKER_02

100%. And and coincidentally, Ryan Holiday wrote a book that's called Stillness is the key. I think this is the best time of year to read that book, and it really talks about how you know all the great leaders and and a lot of great business people and and everybody they find answers to questions within stillness when they just kind of push everything out. And I I know this time of year, once it hits like January, it's kind of like the holidays are over, you have some time to think. Killer book to read right now.

SPEAKER_03

I might even revisit the pay of pigs thing. It's just like, yeah, dude. I mean, it's it's amazing.

SPEAKER_02

It'll give you chills, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, like okay, Mr. President, we're either gonna have World War Three or it's like, huh, okay. Let me breathe here.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I think that's a good opportunity to look at whatever's happening in our world, your world, and go, okay, well, this decision does not determine whether World War Three happens or not.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Most decisions don't.

SPEAKER_02

Another thing that we talked about was uh social media. We we talked a lot about social media throughout the year.

SPEAKER_03

That's a really good title, too. I'd like to say. Yes. Social studies and a social media presence versus agency apocalypse. I mean, come on.

SPEAKER_02

If you're not clicking to listen to that one, then Craig and I maybe we should do that on one of the podcasts. Is you guys can listen to Craig and I coming up with titles.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that'd be fun.

SPEAKER_02

It's it's like two kids giggling, talking about it's just so ridiculous. It's so good. It's the best part.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it is fun. And it and it seems that it ends with yes, like it it's just this like we know that that's the title. Yeah, because the other one of the the other guy just gets very excited.

SPEAKER_02

Right, right. It it gets built in section, and we'll take out like words and replace words, and it's like, oh, that's it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it's yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So much fun. So, yes, as much as you think the titles just they're like they'll those guys just throw it together. As much as it seems like that, we actually do spend some time on on some of these titles.

SPEAKER_03

So like you're completed as hair raises.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I love it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it is good. Uh story. I mean, yeah. Ladil. So Lenil was this year, huh?

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Yep. That's a lot.

SPEAKER_03

That seems like a really long time ago.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and that was February. That was talking about um health, and uh he's a good dude. Keeping it, he is a good dude, keeping a sharp. He was Rhonda Rousey's trainer, and he incredibly smart dude. Right, yeah, yep.

SPEAKER_03

That's big time. Yep, he was a foosball player, Mr. Jason.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, he was.

SPEAKER_03

Uh keep good. I say we go up to Jude, and then we we could pop the other one on the T bitus one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh, Krista Mayshore, Krista Mayshore, and we hung out with her a little bit at a conference, and man, her personality is she's awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, she's awesome. I had the opportunity to hang out with her again up at Boise with her and her daughter at uh what was that place called? The knitting factory. That was pretty cool. When I was yeah, just just just hang it out with Russell. You crazy Russell and and uh and Larson, the BFF Larson up there.

SPEAKER_02

So okay. Here's a here's yeah, here's the title that I love. Jordan West whispers wonderfully while winning whimsically.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, that's pretty solid. We do I've had many messages that say I love the titles.

SPEAKER_02

I hope so.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean maybe it's good, and even before that, accountability across all areas alleviates anxiety, also amazing. But I noticed that you really shot past something that we were taking on for a little while. Remember old Jaglin Jason? Oh, yeah, Jaglin Jason. Or what what was yours? It might have just been crappy craig. Where is it? I don't even see oh, we had calamity craig. And and we did talk about a lot of sayings. Yeah. Oh, that's right. Like we throw in a little uh I think they're called idioms, like a little uh like two birds it or a birded head is better than two of the bush type stuff to try to figure out where it came from. Yep, all about the rock star, Mr. Craig, Mr. Jason. That's so much stronger than learning about all about Mr. Craig. Learning all about Mr. Craig, all about the rock star, Mr. Jason.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, I didn't so another one was before that though that's so good. Set a time side for yourself. Yes, I think that right now is a good time to set time, set time, and and you press you went past Brett Young. That was what a good dude. And he's he's all over the internet now. His whole operation is awesome, so you should check him out. He's on LinkedIn and yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That Rags the Rich's story, right? They were all weren't they working out of the loft in one of their houses? Like Jab did like kind of like our offices with the bullpen, but in their house.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Amazing, you know, and now they have I think it's over 20 people at their agency. Maybe more.

unknown

Matt.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we were able to work at Young Guns. I mean, that's God.

SPEAKER_02

That's the best. Matt Dietz, what a good dude. He puts out so many podcasts, and there's they're short, so you don't have to, gosh, you don't have to listen to him a long time like you have to listen to us, like rambling on. It's probably because he's a little bit younger and he doesn't ramble as much.

SPEAKER_03

He's not jangling.

SPEAKER_02

No, he's not jangling, and he's not uh cruising cruising crappy crack. Uh but good dude, another good dude. It's a good podcast to listen to.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. A little replay of uh oh no, we just talked about it. The tidbits of Randy Randy Thompson.

SPEAKER_02

Again, we're doing the playbook coming up. It's the coach metaphor, but but he really was a coach that became an agent, and man, boy, did that serve him well.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, what a good dude.

SPEAKER_02

What a good dude.

SPEAKER_03

The king of Wyoming.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, and then of course, Garrett J. White. Oh, he's always so good. I can't believe he's been on here a few times. Yeah, and he's intense, he is intense, and you know what?

SPEAKER_03

Just when you think he's so intense, it's so cray cray, he'll turn around and totally surprise you.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yes, he will. Yeah, David Carruthers, another phenomenal dude, phenomenal operation. That guy creates crazy funnels in his agency, and then he runs, you know, for uh business insurance. He runs a mastermind and all kinds of stuff too on that side. And we're talking some big premium policy stuff. He's a good, good, great dude.

SPEAKER_03

You tell that we like marketing based on uh the title of Marketing Marketing, our favorite thing is marketed. Is it yeah? Jagulad Jason jumping off Craig's robe. I don't even know what that means. Uh oh, Calamity Craig again.

SPEAKER_02

Calamity Craig. I like that.

SPEAKER_03

That Vlad.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Vlad. He he's got a cool um oh Vlad I said his AROG, huh? Vlad. Uh whatever. I mean, it's I'm sure it's Vlad tomato tomato, right? Is anybody really wrong? I mean, language is made up, anyways. It is all language is made up, it's just a bunch of syllables. Yeah, so Vlad has a really cool script workshop that's amazing.

SPEAKER_03

And his social media, he is all over the place.

SPEAKER_02

He's great. He's great. Well, we're up against 20 minutes. Let's cut this right here and let's continue this on the next episode. The final for the year.

SPEAKER_03

Yep. And they're not quoffee talks.

SPEAKER_02

And they're not quoffee talks.

SPEAKER_03

We'll see it a few.

SPEAKER_01

Hey Jason. Yes, Mr. Craig. That was another awesome episode, wasn't it? Mm-hmm. Well, if people want to get a little bit more action and learn how to do uh write 100,000 in premium off of even the worst internet leads, where could they go?

SPEAKER_00

They can go to live.teledudes.com. Ooh, that sounds exciting. Are we gonna be there? Yes. It's a weekly call that we're doing right now that will, it's live and it will show you the process. The entire process is super awesome.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. Let's do it.

SPEAKER_00

Let's do it. Sign up right now, live.teledudes.com.

SPEAKER_01

Live.teled.com. That's live.teledudes.com.

SPEAKER_00

Hey Craig, there's a new community that we are starting that I cannot wait to tell everybody about. It is our live texting community where you and I are going to answer people's questions and give them free content, right? Are you kidding me? We get to talk to them? Yeah, which is awesome, but they have to opt in. They have to text us at 520-214-2219. That's 520-214-2219. Nice. Are you gonna respond to these texts? I'm gonna respond to them for sure. Live. I'm into it too. It's gonna be awesome. And it's a it's gonna be our new texting community where we're gonna get back to everybody that we can and drop some crazy content. Free content and free um the calculator that you just came up with. That's right. The calling calculator. Sales material. I mean everything for insurance agents. This is it. It's the best texting community out there for insurance agents. Well, what the heck is that number again? I can't remember it. It's 520-214-2219. That's 520-214-2219. I love it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna text it right now.

SPEAKER_00

520-214-2219!

SPEAKER_01

All right. I'll see you later, Mr. Jason.

SPEAKER_00

Bye, Mr. Greg. Wait, can we even listen to this on the radio anymore?

SPEAKER_01

I love it.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. Nice.
