Hey Craig, let's get into some coffee talk. Hey, I love it. I love doing some coffee twerk. You know, talk about what? Dogs, daughters, whatever. It's coffee twerk.
SPEAKER_02Coffee twerk. Hey Craig, um, this year I got some crazy growth goals for my agency, and actually I've been talking to a few other agents. They got some crazy growth goals. So um, can you tell me a little bit what about what you're doing that's just crushing it in your agency right now?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, we're doing a lot of internet data leads uh through a uh company called Everquote, and they're actually one of our sponsors. Ooh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Can you tell me a little bit about that?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, part of the accelerated growth program, um, which includes having your own consultant that's gonna go over your results and it's it's positioned to make those leads cost less so that you have lower acquisition costs and makes it totally doable. Awesome.
SPEAKER_03And so so what have been what has been your favorite parts about it so far?
SPEAKER_00I like the I like the visibility into the results um and and being able to compare what the the numbers that they get on their side with the numbers that I get on my side and seeing that they mesh up so we know that the data is correct and that we're actually uh you know in in a cost per policy or cost per sale that uh that makes sense. Right. Yeah, they make it real easy to track. And you know what? Guess what? They gave us a deal to offer to all of the insurance dudes and dudettes out there. Oh, I gotta know about this. Yeah, you all you need to do is go to go.everquote.com forward slash insurance dudes. That's go.everquote.com forward slash insurance dudes.
SPEAKER_02And they give all the insurance dudes out there a killer price on this. So I'm signing up.
SPEAKER_00Hey, hey Jason, this is a coffee talk. Oh, oh, that was a that was a right hook to the to the coffee talk. I know I wanted to trick you into it, but you did I thought it'd be fun to just kind of do a post mortem of who we just had on the show.
SPEAKER_03Yes, Mr. Mr. Fire himself, Mr. Fire Nation himself, John Lee Dumas.
SPEAKER_00That was awesome. He's a well-oiled machine. I mean, you don't hear me stop talking very often. But they did a stump stump the Pretzinger. I was I was like starry-eyed fanboy over here.
SPEAKER_03So it's a podcast that we all listen to. It's called Um Entrepreneurs on Fire, and he shoots out what an episode a day? And episode a day.
SPEAKER_00I think now for like 10 years. Hasn't he on the show? Like he didn't say it on ours, but I thought that there's some days where he does like eight or nine episodes in one day.
SPEAKER_03He batches them. Yeah, now now I guess he batches them. So which is phenomenal. But um, but we just did a uh one with him and it wasn't that long, but it was it was set up, so that's what he was doing today, is he was batching them. He has a process, right? And he followed that process to a T. And what else that we noticed from him is that he followed a framework. So he he has a specific framework in which he answers his questions, and it's it's very similar to the framework that he has on every episode, which is awesome to see because um he's uber successful. If you don't know who he is, I think he gets over a million downloads uh a month and lives in Puerto Rico and makes seven figures.
SPEAKER_00A million I mean a million downloads is probably in the top one percent of podcasters. Million downloads, yeah. I mean Rogan's I mean Rogan's number one, right? Right. I don't know what his count is, maybe it's ten million. But I mean it's pretty insane.
SPEAKER_03And I mean yeah, you well but with insurance, you know, the following the process, following the process. And he's in a field that's not your typical field, right? Like you don't just start a podcast and get that kind of downloads, like you don't have crazy amounts of money behind you. You don't you're not hawking a product that everybody knows, right?
SPEAKER_00And now he's now he's hanging out uh well in Arizona with with uh Tony Robbins and and uh who else what was he with? Dean Graziasso probably and Russell Brunson. Yeah. I mean oh and Gary, Gary V. It would be funny. Why did I say Gary V with a southern accent? That's odd. I don't think he I don't think he was part of that crew. I thought he said Gary Vanderchuck.
SPEAKER_03I think it was when he was well, we'll talk about that way.
SPEAKER_00You gotta listen to the episode, right? I know. Well, yeah, that's a quick one. It is. That's well what was your yeah, what was your uh what was your takeaway?
SPEAKER_03Your biggest takeaway. I just love how it's it's a process for him, like it's very methodical, and um I I really like that. And then also he he does a lot of the you know uh the same thing where he's really passionate about um health and and and wellness uh to keep up his rigorous uh rigorous podcast schedule, which isn't necessarily as rigorous as it used to be, because now he has a process to make sure all those episodes are done and he does them fast, man. He's a good he's a good dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's remarkable in that I think that the vast majority of the people that we've talked to who are super successful, whether it's you know, JLD and podcasting or or like Robin Sharma, right? Book author, or um, I don't know who else. Any of the big names that we've had of Garrow. Jay Atkins, right? They all have they they have created a balance from their mindset, right? Meditation, like meditation seems to come up quite often with the most successful. Tony Robbins talks about it a ton. You know, Neil, my partner for the other stuff. He he talks about, I mean, it's just that comes up, and you know, some people are like meditate, yeah. It's like, man, that's that's next level stuff, right? Because you're clearing the mind, you're resetting, because we're always rainbow wheeling for you, Mac users. I don't know what it does on the PC, just starts farting or something. But but then you have like what you put into your body, right? What food, what food are you? How much sleep are you getting? Are you are you reading? Yeah, so there's there's a lot of things to create balance when we think that we just need to work 16 hours a day. Yep.
SPEAKER_03And it's funny because I there was there was a saying, and uh a lot of people have used it, and I'm gonna butcher it right now. So do it, butcher it, butcher it. But it's like uh if you want to be a million-dollar racehorse, what would you do to that million-dollar racehorse? What would you feed it? How would you treat it? How would you train it? And you are a million-dollar racehorse. If you want to be there, you have to treat yourself like a million-dollar racehorse and million-dollar baby, million-dollar baby, and and do those things. So if you're putting crap in your body, you're not working out, you're not um doing the the things, you know, training and doing the things of where you want to be, then you're never gonna get there. It's like a pipe dream, man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, be realistic. When was the last time you went to McDonald's or or Jack in the Box?
SPEAKER_03Truthfully, uh, probably a couple weeks ago. I love I love a good uh egg McMuffin, dude. That's it, that's what I get.
SPEAKER_01Expecting that.
SPEAKER_00I'm Egg McMuffin, dude. I probably have not gone to McDonald's in five years. Or Jack's any other fast food. Yeah, but you eat ice cream. In and out. I I have gone in and out. I don't think it counts. So it's healthier. Have you eaten ice cream? Well, see, come on, I you know, I haven't had ice cream in a couple weeks. I did have an asay bowl, which is basically an ice cream with fruit on it, right? Well, yeah, it depends how yeah.
SPEAKER_03There's like the real asay, and then there's the like the the ice cream version. Right? Oh, it's the one from Whole Foods.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Other than it's good. That's good stuff. No, it's sugary, it just costs twice as much. Yeah. I just say, hey, throw some honey on top, you know, why not? Yeah. That's nature's sugar. Pour some honey on me. That's what they said in the Deaf Leopard. Oh no, pour some sugar on me. Sugar. Yeah, I just said honey. Uh this is really evolved. That it really this took a turn for the worse. Yeah, I'll take the credit for it. So uh I would encourage anybody out there to uh take a listen to that one. John Lee Dumas, and we'll put a show, we'll put a link to Entrepreneur on Fire.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but it's one of our favorites. Uh Craig and I love love this one. So it's a whole bunch of entrepreneurs that think outside the box. And when you hear other people thinking outside the box, you might get a couple ideas that are outside that box that can help you do some cool things and stuff, things and stuff.
SPEAKER_00And stuff. Things and stuff. So uh here.
SPEAKER_03You gotta you gotta literally run, don't you?
SPEAKER_00Not only do you have to run, but you have to run. Yeah. So I guess we can go back in for a moment. So I am doing the Ragnar Relay. Right. And this is gonna be my re my my triumphant return into the world of working out. So normally people will train, then do an event. Uh uh. Doing it backwards. I'm going to do the event, then train.
SPEAKER_03So a month ago, probably by the time this drops, month and a half, we did a little cast, and you're like, get back on the workout train. Yeah. I made you set that appointment, and you did. You did. You set that appointment. I went. And that was the and guess what?
SPEAKER_00That was the only time that I've gone. However, there's a place in Tucson called Sabino Canyon that is like a it's a hiking place. It's out in nature. I have run that two times, two times about a week ago. It's seven and a half miles up and back. So it's and it's it you probably gain, I would guess, a thousand feet, maybe a little bit more. So it's a tough run. Three, three, and and you know, 3.25 up is hard. Down is easier because it's downhill, obviously. But um, I have done a little bit. Uh, but this thing, I I got some of the easiest segments for for our relay. Do you know anything about Ragnar? I don't even know what a Ragnar is. So it's called the Ragnar, it's called the Ragnar Relay.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00But um it's up in uh in it starts in Wickenburg, Arizona, and you run with your team of 12 people from there to Mesa. So that's about 200 miles, and it's 24 hours, and it's a relay. Okay. So you have three, you have three legs. Not like literally three legs, but you have you run three different segments. So start in Wickeberg tomorrow morning, 5 a.m. Um, I'm number four. So I'm running number four. I have six and a half miles on my first segment. This will be the hard one. Now, originally it was gonna be another six and then four. Now that's 16 miles, and that was gonna be hard. This is I they they just recalibrated thanks to me putting that I have a 12-minute mile. Uh it is I go six miles, then the second is two and a half miles, and then the third is two miles. This I'm comfortable with. How hot is it in Arizona right now? Uh it's not, it's it's it's not bad. No, it's not cooking. It's pretty cold, it's in the 60s. Oh that's yeah, I just parker weather. Parker weather. The Ragnar Relay. I've seen that logo. Yeah, that sticker on cars, they put it on cars. I saw one the other day. On vehicles, correct. On vehicles. I saw one at the McDonald's drive-thru the other day. Wait, no, just kidding.
SPEAKER_01Uh what just kidding. No, really haven't been there.
SPEAKER_03Uh thought that'd be funny, though. Throw that in there. That was that was good, Mr. Craig.
SPEAKER_01That striper back there.
SPEAKER_03That's striper. That's striper. We got some uh people that recognized the striper poster on my wall, which is fun.
SPEAKER_00Give a shout out to Dave Davies and um Rob, the barbecue guy. You know it. Yeah, Rob. Good old Rob Khalissa. Yeah, Khaleesa. I say Khaleesi. So uh we'll leave it at that since we are now babbling.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Let's let's do this. You go run your Ragnar, Mr. Man, and let's do Mr. Man. Let's do it, Mr. Jason.
SPEAKER_00See ya, Greg, Mr. Man. Jason, I would be remiss if I didn't bring up one of our sponsors. Ever quote. Oh, tell me a little bit about them. Well, I've been using them for a couple months, and I'll tell you that the results are delightful. It's been now a couple months, and and over time, my cost per sale has dropped every single week. That is awesome. Tell me, so you're on a specific program with them? Yeah, it's called the Accelerated Growth Program. And this this bad boy gets you a better deal on those leads, so way less expensive, and you get a consultant that's gonna actually go over your results to make sure you're tracking properly.
SPEAKER_02And so you and you've been doing that for the last couple months and uh consulting with them?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I and I see everybody complain about leads and this and that, and it's like, look, if you don't have a process to track and measure your results, then I can totally get it. You don't even know what your results are, right?
SPEAKER_03And you asked them to give all the insurance dudes and dudettes out there a killer deal on this, and they came through, didn't they?
SPEAKER_00They came through, and I know you're gonna take advantage of it, but if they go to go.everquote.com forward slash insurance dudes, that's go.everquote.com forward slash insurance dudes, then guess what? What? Deal City.
SPEAKER_02I'm there.
