Hello, and welcome to We. Have you ever looked around and wondered, why does life suddenly feel so much harder than it used to? Maybe nothing's terribly wrong. You still have your job, you still have your family, you still wake up and do everything you're supposed to do, and yet something inside feels different. You feel a little more anxious, more uncertain, more disconnected. Sometimes you might even simply feel alone. Not because there aren't people around you, but because the world seems to be changing faster than your heart can keep up with. Relationships change, communities change, technology changes, careers change, culture changes. Even the things that once gave us stability seem to shift beneath our feet. And when everything around us is changing, it's easy to begin questioning ourselves. Am I falling behind? Am I losing myself? Why does everyone else seem to know where they're going while I always feel so lost and alone? The truth is, folks, you're not alone. Millions of people quietly carry the same feeling every day. This is simply an individual struggle anymore? No, it's not. It's becoming a shared human experience. And what if this season isn't happening to you? What if this season is happening for you? What if the uncertainty you're experiencing is actually inviting you into something deeper? Not simply to survive change, but to awaken through it. Because while the world may consistently reinvent itself, your soul was never meant to lose its identity. It was created to become more fully itself through every season of change. Our greatest peace isn't found by trying to control the world that never stops changing. It's found by rediscovering the unchanging foundation that lives within us. It lives within us. Today, we're going to explain why so many people feel alone in a world that never seems to stop changing. We'll look at how constant change affects us emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, and how it can become the doorway to something extraordinary. We'll discover the personal and spiritual awakenings that helped me personally stop fearing change. It helped me reinvent my life. It truly helped me to discover inner abundance. And quite honestly, because of that, today I live a life with purpose, passion, and meaningful connections. My name is Joe Mittiga. And from around the world, welcome to We. Well, it's a great day here in Atlanta. And like I always say, it's pretty exciting. It's an exciting time, and I love this particular topic. The topic that we're talking about today is all about relationships and change and the world and how everything is changing so much. And when I say relationships, I'm talking about all relationships. Your relationship, of course, with your significant other, and your relationship with your kids, and your relationship with your family, and your relationship at work, in your social life, and quite honestly, and most importantly, your relationship to yourself. And why is that? I always bring it back to the self. That's why we are considered the top number one emotional growth podcast on all of Apple these days. Why? Because it's through the emotional growth inside that you can actually live the world outside you've always hoped to live. You've always wanted to live. You always were dreaming of living. And topics like this today, you know, the feeling of being scared. Yeah, I'm sure you are sometimes. And one of the experiences that was the most horrific for me was the aloneness. My aloneness was horrible. Now, I have to say, unlike my intro there, which obviously I'm sure all of you can tell, I pre-write my intros. I just like to get started off on a focused place. And so I take the time to write it ahead of time so that I can kind of just get focused in and what I want to share and what I want to share about. And unlike what I said there, you know, sometimes you feel alone, even though there's people around you. Well, when I was in super deep aloneness, there was literally zero people around me, which made my path a lot harder than most. It really did. And I know I shared on another podcast the other day about how I'm being guided back into silence, and my voice kept saying, No, please, dear God, don't make me do that. You know, like, and I was interpreting the guidance as silence back into solitude, like isolation. Now, my higher power just wanted me to take my headphones off every once in a while and sit in silence. And we're going to talk about silence more. It's a really powerful thing, a lot of ways to get there, and what you're going to experience once you're there. And why is that important? Because the most important relationships that you have are going to be the relationship you have with the depths of yourself. I call it the inner self, or in my world, I call it the inner child. And equally, if not even grander, the relationship you have with a power grander than yourself. A lot of people call it Jesus, a lot of people call it Buddha, a lot of people call it spirit, I call it divinity. Don't care what you call it, but that's all part of the we. That's why I name the we podcast we, the individual human, higher self, human self, inner self, the we, and connecting together through liked consciousness. That's the we, as far as community is concerned, as a global community. That's why I always want to welcome people from around the globe. The we podcast in 40 short episodes now. We are literally in 16 countries. We've been the top five how-to podcasts in Canada now for over a month. And welcome everybody from Canada. Thank you so much for your support. It's just that constantly reinforces a message. I say it doesn't matter where you live or the color of your skin, or if you're male, if you're female, if you're black, white, green, or purple. It's humanity's waking up. And humanity's waking up to the grander sense of herself. And as that happens, consciousness changes. And when consciousness changes, there is a tremendous amount of emotional challenge because the awakening of the feminine side of self, which is happening to humanity more and more, is when that spiritual sense of you, which is in the female side of yourself, awakens, the emotional side of you is also there in the female side of yourself. And that can be genuinely challenging. It can. I shared before the Tuesday episode about some friends of mine that were going through some pretty tough times. And I have to tell you, when I heard about it, that they're up in Connecticut and my friends, the woman is the person I support. Her husband was in recovery for over close to three years and kind of a blue-collar hard worker, worked as backside off his entire life. And the other day he went to a bar and drank. And I have to say, when I first got that news, I was very empathetic. Empathetic because I could see him sitting there at the bar hoping that the alcohol was going to fix him. And I was very compassionate with my friend because she's just brokenhearted. Well, today I'm not empathetic anymore. I'm angry. So note to self, caveat to anybody listening. If you don't like cuss words, turn it off right now, because I'm going to start cussing here in a second. Why is that? I literally said in this last podcast, I said, you know, the world doesn't demonize alcoholics. The truth of the matter is, alcoholism is a disease. And if you don't know what that means, is that a disease like cancer, no, it's worse than cancer. Why? Because at least cancer can be measured. Alcoholism can't be measured. It can't be measured. It's a defect of character in certain people. And no matter what you do without a spiritual experience, you're not going to stop drinking. And I said in that podcast, I said that humanity hasn't demonized alcoholics. They demonized the behavior patterns of the alcoholic. Well, today, after supporting my friends for the past two, three days, I'm just downright mad. Why? Because this pompous drunk now is all I care. He's just a drunk. Stereotypical vanilla alcoholic, nothing special, rage a holic, crybaby alcoholic. Period. And why do I get to say it so aggressively? Because I'm not a pot calling the kettle black. I was that. Now the difference, as far as I remember, I never took my dog crap out on anybody else. Well, this piece of SOB right now is literally taking his rage out on my friend. And that's simply not okay. And I don't care which side of the spectrum you're on, male or female, you drunk SOB, freaking stop it. Get to a meeting or shut the hell up. Now, do I know him well? If I was close, that's exactly what I'd do to him for sure. I don't know what sponsors do these days. I know what I did a couple of my sponsees years ago. And I don't care if it's the woman who's the alcoholic or the man who's the alcoholic. Your partner doesn't deserve your crap. Period. And what's the stereotypical vanilla, overwhelmingly disgusting behavior patterns between the drunk and the codependent? The drunk blames the partner for I'm drink, you made me drink. It's your fault I'm drinking. You're a miserable blank blank blank, and it's all your fault I'm drinking. You know the problem with that is that so many people and from the codependent side are so vulnerable, they're hurting, they're already confused, and they start believing it. And so, where's my role of support here? I keep telling my friend, get home because they're out of town, get home, get safe, and grieve. And I just keep sharing the truth with her that he's a drunk, he's acting out, he's blaming you, and I'm sorry, but you don't have that much power to control another human being. You didn't make him drink. I find out later, four or five weeks ago, he decided to stop going to meetings. That's why he drank. And so I'm gonna challenge everybody on this phone call right now. If you're the rage a holic drunk, get to a meeting. Stop. Stop blaming your partner. And if you're the person believing him, get help. Seriously, get help. Alcoholism kills, it kills literally physically. Codependent kills the soul, it kills your esteem, it kills your worth. Why? Because you're already hurting. And then when you have some, I'm gonna stop. If you have somebody who's acting out and saying it's all your fault, it's not your fault. It's not your fault. Grown man, like I said to him, he's 56 years old. He drove his fat ass to that bar. He's the one that pulled your money out of his wallet and told the bartender, give me a shot. And this guy is sitting here telling my friend, you're a loser, you know, you're self-centered, and blah, blah, blah. Now let's just get the facts. Why do I say this? Because everybody on this podcast right here, you all know somebody that's in this scenario somehow, somehow. And what can you do if you're one of these two people? Get help. My friend's getting help. She's going, she's got a therapist lined up. She's reaching out to me right now just to get support so she can get the hell home. And you know what her biggest fear is? She says, I'm afraid he's gonna go home and use our rent money for drugs. I said to her, get the money out of the bank now. Give it to your mom, give it to his dad, give it to anybody except get it out of his hands. And oh, yeah, by the way, Miss Self-centered doesn't care about anybody. The drunk doesn't work, he's between jobs, he doesn't work, and he makes no money. He's literally spending her money to go drink and blaming her as if she's the hurtful one. Oh, but she's so insecure because she doesn't like me looking at women. Yeah, no shit. You cheated on her. Of course she does. And she honors and admits her insecurities. Why do I tell this story? Because if you're drinking right now and you're listening to this podcast, stop. You can't stop alone. Go get help. Everybody on this podcast, do a gut check tonight. When's the last time you went? 90 days without alcohol or drugs. 90 days. When's the last time? If you can't answer that question comfortably, you have to look in the mirror. Why? Because it will kill you otherwise. And from the codependent side, if somebody's calling you ugly names, that's called abuse. It's called emotional rape, is what it's called. It's emotional abuse. And I hear you, most of you, if you're in that position, you cannot protect yourself. Of course you can. Like I said to my friend, call somebody, honey. Get somebody to help you. Well, she did. She's going, she's gonna stay with her sister, our good friend. So if you're on the side receiving it, you're nothing wrong with you for not being able to protect yourself. There's nothing wrong because your whole life you've been beat up. You have been. That all starts as a little girl, as a kid. And my friend is consciously aware. Now, she's not necessarily aware yet of the wounds, but she's gonna get help. Her biggest fear, he'll never get home, he'll never get sober. You know what? If he keeps blaming you, you're right, he never will. That's the truth, and that's too bad. And here's where it gets even worse. This particular environment, he has a family member on his side saying to him, Yeah, it's all her fault. I'm so happy that you finally saw the light, and you're such a special person, and you're chasing God, and God's gonna rescue you from your. No, he's not. An alcoholic finds God in the center of AA meetings. That's the truth. And I don't give a shit what your belief systems are. If you're a drunk, you can't stop getting to a meeting because if you don't get to a meeting, you're gonna die drunk. And for this particular sister, you're killing him. You are actively participating in the death warrant for this man. So, you codependents out there that validate and support and act as if the alcoholic is the victim, you are killing them. Stop. Stop now. If you want to keep listening to the rest of the podcast, great. If that was too much for you, turn it off and listen somewhere else. But all that's the truth. Why? Because addiction kills people, it literally kills people. The challenge with this particular man, he's drank his whole life. Now he's in his, I think, younger 50s, physically still in health. 10 years from now, his liver will stop. 20 years from now, if he's still alive, his organs will just close down. And like I said to my friend, by the way, great. Have him go sleep on that sister's couch. How long do you think the sister's gonna let him sleep there? Oh, wait, by the way, have him go spend his sister's rent money on heroin and cocaine. Maybe she'll let him, maybe she's doing it with him. I don't know. But the bottom line is codependence kills character, it kills esteem, it kills worth. And the rage of hall, the rage, the alcoholic rage a holic. It's so freaking vanilla. Any of you that are meeting goers here, which I know a bunch of you are, I know you have to be. A lot of people have a lot of sobriety on a podcast like this. You've all heard it. We heard it. I heard it all the time. It's everybody else's fault until you get to that place where you realize it's your own fault. And if he never realizes it's his fault, he will die of alcohol. You know the bitch of that is 99 people out of 100 die drunk. Die drunk. Now, the great news in this particular case, this man was dry long enough. He knows there's a solution. The challenge is he's got a he's got at least one family member that's supporting him in a false narrative. God is not going to rescue you, pal. God is in the center of AA meetings. Get to a meeting. What this particular episode is really about is relationships. And in that particular case, right there, I've got a man who's taking out his alcoholism, and the only way he's ever gonna not kill himself, he has to create some relationship with a power greater than himself. Period. Her alcohol is gonna kill him. My friend on the other side, the only way she gets out of that codependent nonsense is she's got to create a relationship with the depths of herself, with her little girl, with her teenager, the inner sense of self. And if you really understand what relationships are all about, and I'm gonna talk about this in greater length throughout this entire episode here today, and at the end of more towards the end of the episode, I'm gonna talk about the spiritual evolution of what relationships really are. If you go back to the concept that you are a spirit having a human experience, a spirit having a human experience. And people say, Well, Joe, what the hell does that mean? A spirit having a human experience. Well, I'm not a spirit. Look at me. I'm flesh and bone, Joe. You know, if I was describing myself, I'd say I'm pretty tan because I'm outside a lot, but I'm tan, I've got blue eyes, I've got blonde hair, I'm six foot, I'm two, ten, you know, I'm 60 some odd years old. Where the hell's the spirit in that, Joe? What is it? I'm not talking about your physical, I'm talking about the spiritual essence of you. You are a spiritual essence created in God's image. What is God? God is the everlasting power that is all of. That's what God is: an everlasting experience, always has been, always will be. And each person has to create their own definition of what God is, a true God is for you. And the spiritual essence that's in you is the experience that causes life, literally. And the physical. That carries you around is kind of the most dead part of you that there is energetically, spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, the physical part. We're all individual. That's what causes us to believe we are separate. But in reality, spiritually, we're all the same, created in God's image. And I could go into some biblical stuff, not that I'm a Bible reader, but where I really came up with the whole idea of the concept of the we is after I had my spiritual experience, which I'll talk about later, September 22nd, 2022, I start hearing a book called Unequally Yoked. And unequally yoked is a very common biblical phrase. And what it means in the Bible, kind of in a general sense, unequally yoked means is if you don't have the same religious beliefs, then communion in a marriage isn't going to really work. A Jew and a Christian is probably not going to be the best combination. And an atheist and a Christian, probably not the best combination for relationship. And I get that, I do. Whether I agree with it or not, that's a different topic. But unequally yoked, where it comes into Joe's perspective, is some people are growing, some people aren't. When you first come together, you're at the same place emotionally, physically, spiritually. Some people are emotionally growing, so spiritually expanding, and other people aren't. And a lot of times it's their partner. And eventually you reach a spot to where you're unequally yoked, you're not congruent with each other anymore. Is that good or bad? No. That's what happened with myself and my past wife. I'm gonna talk about that in length here later in the episode. And why do I bring that up? Because all relationships, if you look at life, the ultimate reason we're born is to remember the oneness called God, to remember our oneness. And we do the remembering of our oneness through human experiences. The challenge is so often those human experiences keep repeating themselves over and over and over and over because we never get to the reason we're doing the experience. That's why in many episodes I talk about doing a first step, which I'm not gonna talk about it much here, where you write down the glass empty voices. When my friend gets home, she gets back to Connecticut, she's gonna call me next week. The very first thing we're gonna do, call me, get out a piece of paper, and write out a first step. And I'm gonna guide her through a first step. And I'm gonna have her write down. I'm afraid John's gonna drink. I'm afraid John's gonna this. I'm afraid, I'm afraid, whatever it is, whatever the voices are in her head. Why? Because right now she's got 10,000 voices. She can't find herself. Well, we're gonna write all those voices down. Why is that important? Because right now, with in the relationship she's in, two human beings, male and female, she has the opportunity, because of his craziness, she has the opportunity to really get to know herself in a different way. And if you look at life from that position, that your external world is not the source of you, it's the reflection of you. Hear me. Let me say it again. Your external world is not the source of you. Your external world doesn't create you, your external world is the mirror of you. So if your external world is chaotic and empty and less than and not good enough, and people are yelling at you, that means your internal world has wounds reflective of that. Period. And if you're on the other side, if you're in a world where you've got more money than month, and a partner that loves you, and grandkids that can hardly wait to see you, and more money than you know what to do with, then you've already traveled the globe, but you still feel empty inside, makes all the sense in the world. Why? Because no amount of money in the bank can fill your inside. That tells me, and there's a lot of people there. That's why so much in my podcast are about reinventing of self and creating a relationship with a power grander than themselves. And so, how do I know it's not wound versus higher power? Because if it was wound, a human wouldn't be describing, yeah, I've got a great relationship with my wife. I've got plenty of money in the bank. My grandkids like me. That isn't an external world that is reflective of wound. That's an external world that's kind of reflected from a connected, conscious, okay spot. Well, then, Joe, if he's in an okay spot, why does he feel empty? Because that level of emptiness isn't coming from wound. The we, higher self, human self, inner self, wound is the inner self. The connection, the disconnect between yourself and your higher self, that's what causes aloneness. Loneliness is an emotional experience of longing for company. That's an inner wound, that's an inner child wound, loneliness. Why do we feel so alone so often? Because our world is changing so much. And quite honestly, every time your external world changes, it means something inside of you is changing. And sometimes it changes dramatically, sometimes it just changes a little bit, but it's during that change where that in which you used to experience the world as a congruent experience inside outside. Well, when the world is different, then there's no inside outside. So the vacancy you fill inside, the openness you experience inside, the aloneness you're having inside, we can fill that aloneness now through a creation of a relationship with a relationship power than you're higher than yourself, a higher power. And so very often what people do is they feel that aloneness. So where do they go? Head right to the bar. They feel sad. What do they do? They go right to the other bar. They feel too many emotions. What do they do? Well, they just go get stoned. And then when the emotions get really high and beer and alcohol isn't fixing it, then what do you do? Well, then they go get cocaine. And the bitch of that is if you've got a family member that says, well, the only reason you're doing all that is because your partner, the family member's supporting your death warrant, your death wish. Because that's what will happen eventually. You will kill yourself on drugs and alcohol. Why? Because that's what addictions do. Now, what's the solution? Well, the solution is first off, become aware. The very first mental awareness, the visual needs to be. You're a spirit having a human experience, not the other way around. And if you understand that your whole life journey is about creating a relationship with a power greater than yourself by remembering that power is in you, it puts everything in a very different perspective. If you're constantly trying to feel better inside by chasing your outside, you never catch it because the source of your emptiness is not sourced by your outside world, it's sourced by a disconnect in your inside world. And we're going to talk about some different things you can do to recreate and reconnect to your inner self, and in this case, a higher self. From that position, when you really look at the significant relationships in your life, your wife or husband, your kids, your siblings, your parents, your boss at work, those primary relationships you have in your church group, your sports group, the people that are around you a significant amount of time, those relationships are truly spiritually in your life to help you get to know you better. In other words, you hang out with your buddies on a Friday afternoon or a Saturday afternoon, and just one of your buddies, every time he's around, you get triggered. You get mad, you get sad, you get scared, you get something. His presence causes you a spiked emotion. It's not his fault. You have a spiked emotion. And I know you're saying right now, but Joe, you don't understand. You don't know my friend Tom, and what an idiot he is, and what a self-centered narcissist he is, and what a whatever he is. Joe, you don't know him. So no, I'm telling you, Joe, my spiked emotion is valid because he's a moron. No. Tom gets to be a moron. If Tom being a moron is making your internal essence spike emotionally, the spike is your wound. And probably somewhere, somehow, whatever behavior Tom's doing is pushing your own behavior somehow, somehow. That's a discovery experience. That's a therapy topic. But hear me, I don't care if Tom is a moron. And I'm not saying you have to like Tom. I'm not saying you're not uncomfortable around Tom. I'm not saying you don't get a little mad. Those are normal human responses to somebody being an idiot. I'm talking about when your emotions spike, you go from kind of okay to a little mad to rage. It's the jump to rage. That's the red flag. Literally, that man in that particular case is your spiritual vehicle to identify your rage. Does that mean he's going to stop being an idiot? No. It just means that you can be around idiots and not have a spike of rage if you go inside and get help and write down and figure out what the rage is. What are the voices saying? What is the emotion associated with it inside? Relationships are here to help you identify the wound. A rage reaction is an absolute red flag for a wound inside of you. So spiritually, you attracted the moron into your life to come in every Saturday and do stupid shit that you don't like so that your rage can be identified, so that in your sacred silence, you can write down the voices of your rage, you can feel the anger of your expression needing to be felt, and then identify the wound underneath it. No wound, no reactionary pattern. Every emotional reactionary pattern has a wound as a source. All of them. All of them. And that's what relationships are about. It's for you to find your shortcomings. It's you to find your old hurts. It's for you to find your old wounds. Also, on the other side, it's the other way. There are certain people that come into your life, and just by being in their presence, you feel a wonderful experience. You feel a grand experience. You feel fuller than you ever felt. Now, the challenge with that delusion is that most people feel that feeling and they literally believe they're having this big, massive, warm, fuzzy feeling because of the person. No, you're not. You're having that warm, grand, fuzzy feeling because it's already in you, and that person is reflecting that. I'll tell you a funny story. So I'm listening to a podcast about eight minutes, and I don't listen to many. I can't because there's just so much nonsense out there. Well, I'm listening to this podcast, and there's these two women talking, and they're not bitching and moaning, but they are talking about relationships and men and what they want and all that. And I'm just curious to hear what that's all about and kind of where it's going, right? And to their credit, there was no man bashing at all. None. But the one woman who is absolutely stellar, she says, you know, I'll go out on a date and we'll talk. And I just want him to ask more, ask me more questions. Like I want him to be interested in me. Like, ask me questions. I'm thinking to myself, now, this poor bastard sitting across from this woman, right? Her body is a 10, her face is a 12, her mental IQ is a 20, and her emotional connection is a 50. This poor guy is sitting across from her, vibrating every cell of his body from his toes to his head. What's going through his mind is I wonder how I can get her in bed, and I wonder if my mommy will like her, and every unconscious thought between it. So here's a woman that's literally wanting this poor guy to like have emotional capacity to connect emotionally through conscious conversation about emotions. Good luck. That ain't gonna happen very often. It's not. Might a little bit. I'm gonna talk about the solution, the whole communion between men and women and partnership later on in the episode. So please hang around because I'm gonna talk about what the solution is. And in my opinion, future relationships and the concept of love that's always been the foundation of the delusion. I love you, you love me, so let's get together. That's an emotional human experience. I think as a humanity, we're transcending that. And I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna share what I believe here, but a little bit later on. Now, from relationships from a position of divinity, and it's the same with your jobs, right? You go to a job, you put energy in, whatever it is, you get money back. Well, most people go to the job, do as minimal as they can, expect as much as they can back, and then they wonder why they feel unfulfilled. Well, the way humanity is shifting, and the way that consciousness is moving, and the way that things are getting different, is that in all relationships, you are eventually going to be out in the world sharing your overflow in the world at a job, in a relationship, in a new career, helping in fundraising, whatever it is. And you will get the sensation of accomplishment in the sharing, with no need of receiving. Now, of course, you put enough sharing out there, you're going to get plenty back. But you won't be doing the relationship, whatever it is, work, partnership, creativity, whatever, you won't be doing it with the intent of receiving back. You'll be doing it for the glory you experience in the giving, the sharing of your overflow. I'm gonna talk about that later in depth here. In my own world, some of the biggest things were one day it was one way and the next day it was the other. And when I got sober, I had a spiritual experience. Fifty some odd days later, I had deep memories. I just knew I needed to heal. And I literally had to walk into my family business that was my sole source of income, my primary income, and my family's too. Family meaning my dad, my my my siblings, two of my siblings, and my dad. And I had to tell him goodbye. And you know how I made the decision? Because I was involved with another little side opportunity, and this side opportunity was something that was fun. Now, here I am getting ready to tell my family goodbye, my solid, pretty steady, solid income. I'm telling it goodbye, and I'm I'm gonna try to survive doing selling nutritional products, and I'm gonna try to survive doing that. And how I made the decision, literally, how I made this internal decision, it's all in my head. I said, old life, old business, old family, drugs and alcohol, unfun. New life, new business, new potential, health products, fun. Unfun, fun. Unfun, fun. Unfun, I'm gonna go for fun. Literally. That's how I made my decision. Well, did that decision making process uh benefit me financially? No. Like a lot of you know, I lived on less than three thousand dollars a year from that decision forward for seven years. But did I feel better? Yes. Did I feel fuller? Yes. Did I have a ton of emotion? Yes. Did I have a ton of challenge? Yes. Did I deal with fear every day? Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. But I wasn't gaslighting myself anymore. I wasn't doing something I didn't like anymore. I wasn't, I wasn't pursuing a goal that could never be reached. We grossed over a million dollars one time, one year. And I'll never forget. We had barely even finished putting the putting the equipment away. And my thought was, well, you know, we just need to make $2 million and it'll be better. We had one weekend where we fed over 8,000 people at the end of it, five, six, seven days later, we're cleaning everything up. And the amount of money we made, I'll never forget it. I'm thinking, because we didn't make that much money. I remember thinking, what the hell do we need to feed 10,000 people on a weekend to make any money? It was an ever-chasing event of never feeling good enough, never being enough, my old world, the unfun. Well, that's how I made my first decision of really walking out of that world. And I made the decision to walk out because my external world was all full of drugs and alcohol and that whole craziness. But the income opportunity difference, I made it as simple as fun on fun. Do I suggest you do that today? No, I don't at all. There's a lot better ways to make financial decisions than fun on fun. But that's literally what I did. After those seven years passed, and the emotional challenges came forward, and I learned the concept that all answers are inside. And I learned I heard all the critical voices. And that's what I'm telling my friend now get home, get safe, go away, get away from your partner for a little bit, go stay the stay a month with your sister or brother, whoever she's going to. Why? Because then her current drunk husband, and I'm gonna be mean, I'm gonna be ugly because a drunk acting out makes me extremely angry. Why? Because drunks only act out on people that can't defend themselves. Period. You never see a drunk act out on another drunk. Why? Because they get punched in the nose. Drunks don't have the courage to pick on somebody that could fight back. Well, that's why I get so defensive, and that's why I get so angry. So right now I'm mad at my friend. Do I love him? Yes. Am I empathetic that he's in pain? Yes, but I'm angry at him because he won't stop taking his anger out on his wife. So I'm mad, I am. And I said to her, get safe, get the money out of the bank, and leave him, give him some space. I promise you, Mr. Big Bad Muscle Tough, you're a horrible woman. Within two or three days will become begging to come back. Why? Because A, he has no money, B, he has no one to share the sheets with, and C, he's gonna start feeling remorse like most drunks do. Or he's just gonna start drinking, and maybe that sister will support him for a while, but eventually the sister's gonna throw his ass out too. Hopefully. Why? Because his only prayer is in the middle of a meeting where he will find a God eventually, but it's in the middle of the meeting. So the challenge of as life changes, right? And big shifts change. And I came out the other side, and then literally, I was at church. Now, this is many years later, seven, eight, nine years later. And look across the room and I say, I'm gonna marry that lady. And sure enough, it was my past wife Elizabeth. Beautiful, kind, sweet, still is beautiful. Beautiful, kind, sweet. Still is today. And she was the preacher's daughter. And so I had already created a relationship with my minister. I didn't know he had a daughter. Come to find out later, long story short, we got married. Well, during that marriage, right, everything was different. Why? Because now the decision-making process that Joe had to go through of earning income or not earning income had other people involved. Talk about scary. Before, the only consequence of Joe not making money was Joe was hungry. Nothing else. Always had a place to live. I could always figure out a place to live. So there really wasn't a whole lot of fear of survival. Because if I was hungry, I was hungry, but it was me with me. Well, in this case, now I'm married and working, and she had a good job. And you know, we cohabitated, and I was making decent money, and she was making decent money, neither one of us making a lot, but it was good, it was solid. And then I remember thinking, and I was trying to set a pace of how my life was going to unfold. And I kept saying to myself, you know, because I knew we both kind of knew, and she's said this story too, so I'm not speaking out of turn, that literally when we met each other and we hung out, we knew we were going to get married. It was just she was at that place early 30s, I was at that place early 40s. We had a lot in common. This is prior to kids, and we kind of knew. And I remember saying to myself, I want to be a boyfriend before I'm a fiance. I want to get used to being in a serious relationship with a woman so I can freaking figure it out. I hadn't even been around anybody in a decade. And we accomplished that pretty good, you know, however long, I don't remember. And then I remember saying, I want to be a fiance for a while, you know, do the proposal thing and get married, the engagement, before I'm a husband. And that one worked out too. It really did. More because she had some tragedies in her life, which delayed our marriage multiple months, which was fine. And I was very supportive and connected to the whole family. And then the big one was I want to be a husband long enough before I'm a dad. And that was the one that my oldest son came to me. We weren't, we were barely married a year. My oldest son came to me at Christmas Eve. And I literally, you know, everybody kind of knows how the man-woman concept works. Truth of the matter is, if a man doesn't want to have a baby, he ain't having a baby. That's just the facts on how all that works. I'm sure everybody knows that. Well, my son in spirit form came to me and said, Dad, I'm ready. I'm like literally talking to a spirit in church. I am weeping. And he says, I'm ready. I'm literally in church. I'm like, ready for what? I'm ready to come. I'm ready to be born. I'm ready. I tell the story in other episodes. A very powerful spiritual lady named Claire told me six, eight months later, that she saw an angel come to me during that same service. And that one kind of took me off guard. But I listened. And if any of you know my son Joseph, you will over time, just keep watching the MLB draft in a couple, two or three years. You'll see the name Mittig. That's my kid. He's been quad A since the day he was born. I wanted him to wait for two years. He was ready then. My son was born breach. My past wife had to have a C-section because his feet were coming out first. My dad said, my dad was breached. My dad said, I came out running. My feet hit the floor first. Well, that was my son Joseph. And bottom line, great things. We had a baby. And the business I had at that point for all those that I started doing started to change. 2008 happened where all the business really went crazy. I'm sitting in a Waffle House. And the terror I felt. Why? Because my life had changed so much. Talk about alone. Talk about scared. What was I so scared of? In the past, if I didn't make money, it was only me with me. I could always go there. And I did that for a decade. Now I not only had a wife, I had a baby, and I was terrified, literally terrified. So what did I do? Like, what was the spiritual awakening that happened for me? Well, I was in a waffle house, sweating, like praying, sweating, confused, really scared. And I remember that's when I started my whole time when I was hurting, I had to prayer. God, please give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal. God, give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal. And in that moment, I was already, I wasn't wounded, I wasn't hurting anymore. I started praying, a prayer, a chant, uh, an asking, dear God, guide me. Dear God, guide me. And in that moment, I felt it. It was like up to that moment, I was so terrified because I was trying to figure it out all by myself. Even after a decade of every day asking God to give me strength and courage. And that's when I did that right there, I tell people all the time, I'd say it in my big presentations all the time, you know, people are very familiar to ask God for help and support if there's an accident or somebody's dying or there's injury or there's something that you're scared of. People are very practiced at saying, Dear God, please don't let my child die. Dear God, help my grandmother make it. But what I learned in that moment is that you can help, you can ask your higher power, in this case I call it God, anytime at any place, for anything, every minute of every second of every day. Hear me. Right now, whatever you're doing, right now, you can start asking your higher power to please guide you. And when it's in the asking, there's an internal experience that starts waking up inside. So the spiritual awakening that happened in that moment is I became aware, I remembered in that moment that no matter what the circumstance is in my life, I could be at a stoplight. Dear God, do I go left or right? I could be getting dressed, and I'll never forget it. I'm getting dressed one time, I was trying to put a tie on, and I asked the question red or blue? My higher power said, I don't care. Like literally, it's kind of a sarcastic, it's not that important. Choose what you want. Free will. That's what free will is. The spiritual awakening that happened, though, and I'm here to tell all of you right now. Have you ever tried that? On your best days, on your great days, on the great, on the days you're doing fine. Ask God for guidance. You know, I've lost my keys different times. Dear God, guide me. Guide me to my keys. It's just amazing how I'll be inspired, and I'll just be guided to the keys. Now, this particular event I'm talking about was 17 and a half years ago. My son now is almost 20, he's 19 years old. Literally, did I come up with the idea in the restaurant? No. The next day I'm talking to a man out of New York, Jerry Mazzone was his name, beautiful guy out of New York. We worked together on a different opportunity. And he says, Joe, we were in the energy world. You need to start your own. I was like, start my own. What? He says, You need to start your own company. I said, Okay, I will. That's where my company, Avion Energy, was born, right there in that moment. The day before in the Waffle House, dear God, guide me. Prior to that moment in time, literally, I woke up that day and I don't remember the dates on this. I do remember, though, Avion was started July the 10th, 2010. So I was probably July the 8th, 2010, or somewhere in that neighborhood. I'm sitting in that Waffle House terrified. Why? Because I was alone. Why? No people around? No, the Waffle House freaking full. Why was Joe so alone? Because Joe's humanity and Joe's consciousness and Joe's perspective lived in the delusion, the separated delusion that it's all up to me and Joe only. If it's to be, it's up to me, Joe. In that moment, when I heard you can ask God for help, and I did, the aloneness went away. Literally. Why? Because now my humanity was opening up consciously to the possibility of a power much greater than me inspiring me to do something, identical to when I would be in so much pain I couldn't breathe. I would be in so much rage my hands had blisters. I would ask for strength and courage. Back then, my higher power guided me to leather gloves so that I wouldn't I could still beat the bat. Hey boys, you alcoholic drunks, get a bat, beat the bed instead of taking it out on your wife. And Miss Wife, who thinks you can fix him, take a plastic bat and beat the bed if you have to. Why? Because if you don't get the anger out, it's gonna be acted out. That's why my friend right now, he is brutally acting it out on his wife. He is, and he better be careful because this female is beautiful, she's a speaker, everybody on the planet freaking loves her. She's gonna heal her stuff. And if he doesn't straighten his crap out, she'll have anybody on the planet he wants she wants. He's just a middle-aged drunk at a bar with no money. Well, he better be careful because she could have the globe if she wants. Right now, she loves him, and I hope they make it. I really do. So that same energy that gave me wisdom when I was emoting the depths gave me wisdom when I was creating in the grandness. Literally, Avion Energy. If you don't know what Avion Energy is, we are the single largest energy broker of natural gas electricity in the country. We have over 150 suppliers. We make sure our clients stand best pricing. And literally, all these years later, we're getting ready for a very large exit after all these years. That's why people I say to people, I don't need the money. I'm not doing all the we podcast for the freaking money. No, I'm doing it to help people, and I'm doing it to heal humanity, and I'm doing it to help heal the continent of Africa and all the water, which I'll show that story a little bit later. But so the small voice inside of you, the part of you that when you have all the money in the world and the families around and the aloneness, the first action when you're in a sense of aloneness is do your version of prayer. I don't call it prayer, I call it asking. My tagline ask, listen, and then go live. Ask if you're hurting, ask your inner child what's going on, listen to what the inner child has to say. Emote. In this particular case, if you're in aloneness, ask, hey God, guide me. Hey God, help me out. Hey God, I don't know if you're freaking there or not. If you're there, give me some help here. Any level of reaching out is a statement, an action step of humility. And it's in that place of humility that all your answers will be given to you. And people say, well, if God loves me, why doesn't He just give it to me, anyways? Well, because God gives you free will. And if God is not codependent, folks, God will not rescue you, God will not fix you. That's a B S line. And for all you, all you religious people out there that say, I just have to believe in God more, and then there'll be miracles. That is a not true statement. It's not true. God is not codependent. Now, God, just like what God's gonna do to my friend, my God is gonna give my friend the strength and courage she needs to heal herself. God didn't put her in that circumstance, her environment did. But God will give her the strength and courage to heal. My buddy, who literally lives in the delusion that if I just pray enough, God's gonna rescue me from alcohol. I was in the program for three decades. I've never heard one person except myself that had a spiritual experience that had alcohol removed. Three decades, I was the only one. So I wouldn't be betting on, hey, God's gonna strike you sober. Now God will give you the wisdom to sit your ass in a meeting so that you can get and find God. But that's where the drunk arrogance of the alcoholic, that's why they have to hit that bottom that says, I can't do it alone. They surrender. It's in the I can't do it alone. That's the first version of asking for help. Well, for the other 99% of you here, and by the way, thanks for listening to my rant earlier, because I'm mad. It doesn't have to be like that, it doesn't. And for everybody else on the podcast, you're not in that place. Most of you right now, how do I know? Because my podcasts that have the biggest tens of thousands of people listening are about surrender and reinvention. Literally. The woman that's gonna be one of my contributors, I hope right now I would go into a 10-minute speech about her program because that's what she does free. Keep coming back, folks, because you're gonna want to go to this woman's website. Keep coming back if you're in that place of reinvention. Why? Because that's where most of you are. And that reinvention, how do you start it? What's the first act? If you listen to the most the influence has that, you write down your goal list and then you force it through, and you know, that's yesterday's newspaper. What I'm gonna ask you to do, ask for guidance and then listen. Ask and then listen. And for most of you, you're gonna hear two sets of voices. You're gonna hear the voice that says, I can do this, this, and this, and you're gonna hear another voice that says, There's no freaking way you can do any of it. Well, my third book, which is we haven't come up with a name yet for it, it's gonna be something like Awakening to We or something. My third book talks about that exact experience. So still have out your piece of paper. Because when you're listening and you hear the small voice, that's gonna be all in all inclusive and all encouraging and all wonderful. You're also gonna hear all the other voices that say, No, you can't. You have to write out all those no you can't voices. That's the first step, literally. And future episodes will do that. So that whole practice of listening deeper. Brian Tracy said it in the video. I watched, and I'm suggesting to you right now, I'm gonna ask you the question because Brian Tracy said I kind of misquoted him, I reread it. He said, 99% of humanity has never gone 30 minutes. I said five, 30 minutes in silence. 99% of society has never gone 30 minutes silence. Silence meaning no sound, no music, no phone, no kids, no talking, no nothing. Sitting in just silence. And why did he say that? It's because when you sit in silence long enough, you'll hear that small voice. And that small voice is what I'm telling you. You create a relationship. If you're that person that has more money than month, and the whole scenario I talked about earlier, if you're that person, how do you heal from the inside out your aloneness? Your aloneness will fill from the inside out as you create a relationship with that small voice, that soft voice. That soft, small voice is your divinity. In the position of the we, higher self, human self, ego, inner self, little kid, the higher self in you is that small voice. We all have it. How do I know? Created in God's image, the small voice. How do I know before Jesus ascended? The last thing he said as the disciples were freaking out. I have to go sit by my father so he can put the spirit that guided me in you, your higher self. That spirit that God put in you because Jesus ascended, Jesus said it, it's in you. There's a small voice in you. You want to heal your loneliness? Listen for that small voice. And then whatever that small voice does, start taking action step on that small voice. And then over time, start communicating with that small voice. Ask that small voice in you. What do I do next? How do I do it? I'm afraid. I say it all the time. 99% of people that never move forward on their dreams is because they're afraid. How do you get over the fear? You don't. You don't. But you ask the same small voice that gave you the inspiration or the dream in the first place. You ask that same voice to give you the strength and courage needed to keep moving forward, despite of the fear. So it's your moving forward, the fear is there, but you move forward because the small voice is going to give you the strength and courage you need. That's why I hear these influences say just get your ass off the couch and go do it. I was saying in my last podcast, if they could go do it, they'd have done it the first time. And your podcast with millions of followers would go to zero. Because if people could just go do it, they would, and they wouldn't need to come back to the podcast. Well, how do you go do it? You have to ask. You have to ask the small voice, you have to listen for the small voice, then you have to ask that small voice for the strength and courage. And you watch what happens. And that small voice is gonna inch you forward. It's going to inch you forward, it's gonna move you little by little by little. You're not gonna have these big ass goal-less nonsense. That's yesterday's newspaper. How do I know the difference between your divinity guiding you and your humanity guiding you? Your humanity will have time frames. They're called goal-less. Anything wrong with that? No. How do I know your divinity has no goals, has no time frame? Because divinity is eternity. Hear me? Your divinity, that small voice, is your eternal voice. Eternity has no time frames. How do you know when you're being guided to take action, it will unfold in God's time, not yours, with no end result based on time frame? Now, any influencer out there that's listening and that would hear that, they think I'm nuts. Well, let me just ask you: how's that been working for the other 99% of you that have never been able to make a million dollars? I'm not talking about the 1% of you that are elite and you go out there and you just bust ass and you do it. Fabulous. But now you've already done that. Why are you so alone? Why do you feel so empty? Because now it's time to move from your humanity guiding you, which is a position of gaining gratitude, to your divinity guiding you, which is a position of experiencing grace. All of that fits in, all of that is together and following that higher sense of self. It's in that small voice. What is the first action step? What is the how to? What is the how to? Ask for support, ask for guidance. That's the how to. And that for me, when I asked in that moment of terror, because I've got a baby and a beautiful wife, and they're depending on me to take care of them. I was terrified. I was forced to ask. And I'm a man that for a decade asked for support when I was hurting 50 times a day. Sometimes 50 times an hour, I was in so much pain, but I never connected. The same part that helped me through my pain could give me the wisdom to help me build my grandness. Look me up online, folks, Avion Energy. All of that business, 10,000 locations we managed. All I could go. On and on and on. Oh, yeah. And by the way, the whole concept on how we we manage our we manage our clients, I came up with that. All of it didn't exist before. That's why the company's so valuable. Oh yeah. Joe didn't come up with nothing. Zero Joe. The voice, that inner voice. Same voice that does these podcasts. So the spiritual awakening I had, ask. You start asking that quiet voice, you'll be amazed. How do you get to the quiet voice? Get yourself the 30 minutes in silence. Now, am I asking you to do 30 minutes in silence tomorrow? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. How about 30 seconds? And then the next day, do 35 seconds. You'll see, you'll get there. This is where meditation comes in. You can quiet those voices. So that whole experience, right? As we're learning to become a grander us, how does it affect and why do we need to do it? Well, because relationships as a concept, life as a concept is relationships, literally. And the interaction of relationships. And in the beginning, like where does it all start? You know, and I'm a guy that likes to start at the beginning because if you don't have a foundation of what I'm talking about, how can any of it later make any sense? And if you think about the initial relationship when you're first born, that's when your first relationship is. You're a newborn baby and a little kid, literally a baby, you for Joe, 1963. I was born in March 18, 1963. So April 18, 1963. Yes, that's how old I am. Do the math. It was me and the relationship I had with my mother. Now, back then, my mother's sweet kind. She was 27, I was her fourth. 27 years old, I had she had four kids. We lived in a house that cost $12,000. And my dad worked full-time all the time. My dad was never around. So my mom basically had an eight-year-old, a four-year-old, a three-year-old, and a newborn. That's me. I was the newborn. So was I safe? Yes. Was I comforted? Yes. Did I did I need for anything? No. Physically? No. No. Was I yelled at? No. Was I spanked? No. No. No, no, and no and no. But was my mother emotionally able to fulfill my needs? No, she wasn't. On purpose? No. She did the best she could. So what happens? When we're a baby, we're sitting there. As a child, the normal, natural perspective of a child is pure narcissism. Narcissism in a healthy way. Why? Because a child is like a sponge. A brand new baby, a little baby, a little kid has literally zero to give back to the world. And it's in an environment where it's learning everything. It's learning what's safe, it's learning what's not safe. It's learning what love is, what love is not. It's learning what it needs and what it doesn't need. A child is a complete blank slate. And then society starts creating the child. Now, if we all lived in utopia and everything was fantastic and the world was a wonderful place and we were all emotionally, whatever, that child would get all of its emotional needs met. It would be taught from day one that God is inside. It would be safe the entire time and it would be empowered its whole life. I will tell you, my two boys, are they perfect? No. Have I been putting $10 a week away for their therapy fund when they're 30? Yes. And both their mother and their father, me, told them they were loved. I've told them I'm proud of them every day of their life. And I told them every day of their life that their gifts are inside. So I'm suggesting to you right now, let today be the day. If you're not practiced at that, let July the 21st be the day that you, the listener on this podcast, start telling your kids and your grandkids that God is inside of them, literally. And this doesn't matter if you're religious or not, Jesus said it for Christ's sake, Christ consciousness. Read it in the Bible, Matthew. I don't know those verses. Read in Matthew. Matthew will say in the Bible. Pretty sure Matthew was one of the disciples, I don't know. Said that God is inside. Jesus said, God is inside. So if you're a real, if you're a devout Christian, make sure you tell your kids to read it. Why? Because if they're made aware their entire life that the God is inside, they don't have to go searching for it 50 years later, like the rest of us do. Because all the rest of us, we have to go remember it. They already know it. And you tell them from the little, they'll remember. So let today be the day. Why? Because a year from today, you tell your kids one time a day for 365 days, you watch how the next year of their life is better. And if you're not a verbal person, write it on a note. If you're not an I love you person, say that you're proud. If it's uncomfortable, I literally just had this experience the other day. It's uncomfortable for me to be gentle and tell my boys I love them. I do the best, but it's hard. I'm literally my kids, my youngest is going on vacation with my sister, and my oldest is taking them. So praise to God. I didn't have to drive the nine hours because I have a 20-year-old that can do it. And I feel this feeling right before they're getting ready to leave to hug them. And I didn't follow it. Now I have to tell you, I'm not a big hugger of my kids. Their mother is. I'm not. I want to be, but it's uncomfortable. And I swear to frickin' God, for the four hours after they left, I almost called them and told them, stop moving. I'm gonna come find you because I need to hug you. Did I? No. My kids are listening right now, just ranting and raving. They all my boys both listen to this podcast. But what was that experience? Why didn't I do it? Because it's new. Well, if it's uncomfortable to hug, tell them. If it's uncomfortable to tell them, hug them. Whatever the it is, it's time. Start today. You, you're the generation of change. People listening here, we are the generation of change. So start right there. Well, as a little kid grows up, a lot of kids get a lot of needs met. The needs that they don't get met are found later. A lot of kids are completely neglected. And they're the ones that later tend to have more challenging lives. Sins of the father passed on to the sons, consciousness of the father passed on to the sons, that whole concept. So as a child grows, then you go from six, seven, eight, nine, where you're still 100% dependent typically on your parents, will eventually reach that next phase where independence starts happening, and that's where you become a teenager. And as a teenager, what is the normal human reactionary pattern of a teenager? You're trying to find your place. You're trying to find your spot in life. You're going out there searching for approval. You're going out there finding your partnerships. And I'm not talking personal partnerships. You're trying to find where you fit into life. That's the teenage era of time. That's what it is. That's what it does. That's where it is. And so very often in early teens, you see the kids that are more quiet. They tend to hopefully have somebody else that's just as quiet. Then you've got the big ruckus kids that are loud. By the time you're in high school, typically there's the athletes that kind of hang together, and the music and drama people kind of hang together, and the smart kids try to kind of hang together, and the debate, the debate club kind of hangs together. Y'all know the groups. Is that a bad thing? No, it's not. It's not. That's a kid trying to fit in, find their place in the world. And as a teenager, you start having independence. And as a teenager, is when you have to start empowering your child to follow their own gut instincts. And this is where so many parents, and I'm not criticizing any parent, because a lot of parents, everybody's doing the best we can. But this is the place that if you don't empower your kids, they never launch. And then you blame them. Hear me. If you don't empower your kids when they're teenagers, they'll never have the ability to launch when they're older. That's just the truth. And what eventually happens also is every as a little kid, right? You're a sponge, and the sponge is being filled up. Sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. Sometimes half of it's filled and other parts not. Mom's around all the time and it's pretty good. Dad's never there. A half-filled sponge. Sometimes mom's mean as crap, dad's super nice. Half-filled sponge. And it's that sponge, the consciousness of the sponge. Where it's unfilled, that's wound. Where it's filled, that's autonomy. So when you walk out as a teenager, right? You start living in the world, and then you start literally being attracted to the places in your world that sometimes mirror your glassful part of yourself. But a lot of times what unconscious people do, especially teenagers, they are attracted to the place where an external environment can fill their internal void. Where did the void start? When they were a little kid. Where does it start acting out? When they get more independence, 15, 16, 17. This is the place where adults have to be still boundried because kids don't know any different. They don't. That's why kids are pursuing approval. That's why the whole TikTok, the likes, and all that stuff on social media has become such a social norm. People think they feel good if they post something, they get a lot of clicks. The only child that needs a lot of clicks is somebody who didn't get a lot of approval when they're young. Here's the other challenge. When you're real little, when you're eight, nine, ten, or eleven, and you get punished for saying no, especially if you're a girl, you get punished for saying no. How dare you say no to me, little girl? Who do you think you are, little girl? Let alone if the punishment isn't just verbal abuse but physical abuse? Then you wonder why when she's 16 and she's in an experience that she knows she shouldn't be with a boy who's too aggressive and she can't say no? It's because at 11 she got her ass kicked for saying no from the unconscious parents. Am I blaming anybody? No, but I'm making you aware you have to teach your kids that no is okay, and you'll always be there for them. You know why so many kids can't say no when they're out drinking? Because if they say no to their friends, they don't have a parent to come pick them up. That's the reason, 95% of the time. So I can tell you, and you have to let your kids start driving sooner or later. That's where it's up to you to set the boundaries. I did with my oldest. I told him all along. In the beginning, he could basically drive up one street, right between the two cities, city of Suwannee, City of Buford. It was a two-lane road. And for a good year, that's what he did. He never caused any problems. I never had any issues. It wasn't until he was 17 and a half that I let him drive to his baseball by himself. Why? Because his baseball was an hour and 15 minutes away. And I have to tell you, that's a great freedom for me because five days a week when I'd take him to baseball, that was hard. Was I willing to do it? Yes. Was I grateful that he did it afterwards? Yes. As my son became 18, 19 years old, I didn't ask him where he's going. He's 18. He's 19. And like I said to him, if I have to ask you at 19 years old where you're going, because I don't trust you, that means I did it, I didn't do it right when you were 14. So wherever you are now with your kids, you are with your kids. You have to teach them to trust themselves. How do they do that? Teach them that inner guidance is inside them. And how do you teach your kids the inner guidance is inside of them? You have to find the inner guidance inside of you. How do you do that? Well, you have to understand you are a we, you are a human self, spiritual self, inner self. And the only reason you don't remember and hear that inner, that higher self loudly, the only reason you can't remember it in a very loud way is because there's so many of the wounded voices in the way. So many of your sponge when you were a little kid that wasn't filled by emotional support as a child, then you create wounds, you act out the wounds, and the layer after layer after layer after layer just continues to get bigger. And those layers, those are your first step voices. Those you hear those voices in your head, but the source of those voices are in your heart. And when you embrace the heart and the emotion by writing down the voices in your head, eventually the only thing left is that small, quiet voice. As we become adults, move into college, the next place after that, from the college age on, I call it just human creation. You know, it's where you're creating life. You're going out there in a place of life, and you're trying to figure life out. You're now an adult, you now have your boundaries, you kind of know what's right and wrong. And you go into school or trades or whatever you're trying to figure out, use those four or five years to figure out what you're going to do for the rest of your life to have income. And you go out creating life. You know, it's the humanity creation phase. And that typically lasts from the 20s to the 30, 40 years old, most of us, 50 or 60. But it's in that phase right there, where then we go out, we pursue partnership, we pursue a job career, we pursue volunteer work, we try to be an active member of society, most of us. Now, for the kids and the people that never got what they needed as a little boy and then started acting out as a teenager and never had any boundaries. By the time you become a young adult, the behavior patterns that you're doing at 17, you're still doing at 27. Those are the people that literally then live a life and they wonder why they can never get ahead. Is that most? No, it's not. Most stop the behaviors they did of crazy in high school and college when they get out of college. They do. They're not drinking every weekend or all the time or whatever. They're just not. They move into the production side of life, human creation. Yes, beautiful. For those of you that are in there and you've done that, you've done it for 20 or 30 years, fabulous. And you're in one of the biggest shifts you'll ever be in, which I'm going to talk about in a minute. My book, I always have to remember to talk about my book, Filling the Void. I talk about a lot of this. I talk about all of the inner wound. Keep visiting joemitica.com because filling the void talks about a lot of the inner wound. And I give it away for free. I want you all to have it for free. So, in that human creation, we go out there pursuing life from our humanity's perspective, and we're giving out into the world, pursuing, giving our overflow with the receiving of gratitude. Literally, you go out in the world, you work, you make money, you're grateful. You go out in the world, you have a wife, and you know, she gives back, you're grateful. You have kids, you have a nice house, whatever. It's the pursuit of gratitude. Now, for the people that don't kind of make it there, and their addiction satiation took over as a teen, and they basically live life as the same in their 20s as they did in their teenage years, and they don't get any help. So now they're living the same life in their 30s and their 40s like they did when they were 17. My friend was at the frickin' bar at 55. How did he handle his problems at 55? Went and drank. He did the same thing. I asked his wife, how long has he been drinking? His entire life. Yeah, he's an example. He's doing the exact same behavior pattern at 55 that he did at 15, 25, 35, and 45. I'll ask again. When was the last time you went? 90 days. Who's ever listening? Because if you haven't done it lately, you need to. And when you can't, get help. Why? Because it's never too late. You can always stop. We're gonna live to 100. So you can always stop and change. The humanity, so people come out into the world, and you're either an active participant in society, or you're more in the addiction satiation of society. You're either out there producing and feeling grateful, or you're out there taking and being satiated. Addiction satiation. And quite honestly, there are a lot of marriages that, if we were gonna be technical about them, they're basically addiction satiation, although it's cloaked in love. You know, you meet somebody at 25, and she, when you're around her, you feel great. When she's around you, she feels safe. She needs you to feel safe, you need her to feel great, and you call it love. Well, if we're gonna dissect that, her need for you to be around to feel safe is her disconnect from God. Your need for her to be around for you to feel good is your disconnect for your little kid. So basically, marriage is created around that, if we're gonna be technical about it. It's codependent on one side and it's addiction on the other. Now, do people get married like that and live a very happy life for 30 years? Yes, you do, and it's wonderful. And that 31st year, things start changing. That 32nd year, or the 22nd year, or the 19th year, or the 15th year, things start changing. Why? Because one person's growing and the other one's not, and there's a world of people that's happening to now. 25 years ago, you married your love of your life, and for 20 years it freaking worked, and for the past five years, something is missing. It's not something missing, it's because you're growing spiritually and emotionally, and your partner's not. How do I know? Because if your partner was also growing at the same rate, at the same pace, in the same style, in the same whatever, there wouldn't be anything missing. You'd both would just be able to give and receive in an equal way. But when one person grows and the other person doesn't grow, that's what happens. The woman who's who I heard the message on September 22nd, 2022, listening to a podcast, didn't even know what a podcast was. That's what started my entire this entire thing for me. I heard this woman say, I was married for 18 years and I launched my kids and I sold my business. She had two twin boys and she sold her business. I don't know, like in construction, whatever the hell she was in. I don't know. My only failure I felt was my marriage. And that's when the big divinity voice in me says, You didn't fail your marriage. You chose to live your divinity over your humanity. Now, I've never talked to this woman yet. Someday I hope to. But do I know if she knows consciously she just outgrew her past husband and her marriage? I don't know. But is that what happened? Yes. Anything wrong with that? No. That's where unequally yoked comes from. She grew in a direction and he grew in a direction. Either one right or wrong? No. It's just all part of the spiritual path. It's all part of the spiritual awakening, it's all part of the spiritual conscious shift. And that leads me to where so many people are now. So many people are at a place of more money than month, and life has been good. But the mannerism in which you live your today, if you keep doing it the same way, even though you got plenty of money and plenty of people, whatever, it still feels void. What is that? Well, because consciousness shifting the way it is, humanity shifting the way it is, the reinvention that you're going through isn't about reinventing your humanity. So your humanity does the same thing over and over because it doesn't work anymore. It's about shifting from your humanity guiding you to your divinity guiding you. Divinity pursues grace, humanity pursues gratitude. And what's the difference? Your humanity is of Of your human self. Human. Your divinity is of your divine self. How do I find my divine self, Joe? It's that small voice we were talking about earlier. Now, some of you are going to hear a voice. Some of you are going to feel a feeling. Some of you are going to be intuitive, have intuition. And quite honestly, ladies, that's why you have such a freaking advantage. You do. Large percentage of women out there. This is a true statement. A large percentage of women, far before you healed your hearts and far before you became spiritually wise, you've had an intuition in your belly your entire freaking lives. Most of you, a lot of you. How do I know? Because that's how humanity survives. Women's stomachs have to be open because no women, no babies, no babies, no humanity. So, fellas, stop taking your crap out on your wife because your wife is a sacred being. Women are sacred. And I don't have any girls, so I don't know what I'd teach my girl to talk to about a man. But I teach my boys, women are sacred. Treat them that way. Why? No women, no babies, no babies, no humanity. Women are the reason humanity exists. Well, the way you bear a child is in your stomach. So that stomach chakra is 99% always open. So I can promise you, if you think back, way before you emotionally were capable or spiritually aware, your intuitions were strong, especially if you're on this podcast. They just were. Well, now I'm asking you, it's time you're gonna transcend all of that. You are, because emotion, love from a place of human emotion is still human. It is. Love from a place of divinity is not human. Love is a presence when it's called divinity. Love is an emotion when it's called humanity. And I'm gonna talk about how I believe men and women are going to connect more and more in the future, and it's not gonna be from emotional love. It's not, in my opinion. Well, that whole shifting is happening more and more. How will you know it's happening? Because the aloneness in you will start filling up. How does the aloneness in you fill up? What's the first action step you do? Practice getting silent. If you need to use meditation to do that, fine. Write the voices out, fine. Practice getting silent, staying in silence long enough. Listen for the small voice. That small voice in you is your divinity. Become aware of being able to pick that small voice up, regardless of the rest of the chaos. The likelihood of you being able to heal all the chaos is slimmer, but you can hear all the chaos, but also sense and feel that voice at the same time. You can do them both right now. And the more you follow that voice, the more that voice, the energetic presence of that voice will fill you up. Your aloneness is because you and the higher part of you have a separation. You fill the separation by communing with that voice. The more you commune with the voice, and then you learn to communicate with the voice, which means you talk, the voice listens, you listen, the voice talks. It's communication inside you in a higher sense of self. That part will guide you. Now, is that part going to guide you to make a billion dollars? I don't know. Maybe it has, I don't know, a bunch of people around the planet. But more likely, voice is going to guide you to do something you've always wanted to do. It's going to guide you to start playing the piano. It's going to guide you to start learning the guitar. It's going to guide you to start a small business. It's going to guide you to volunteer. Now, I will tell you, my voice guided me to do a podcast. Did I know prior it was going to be a global podcast? No. I but I just knew God's got a pretty good connect. And by the way, today the podcast hit 127 in the globe, right before I got on here, 134 in the globe out of 4 million. Why? Because Joe's really practiced. I don't feel alone as much anymore. I don't. Why? Very practiced communing with that grander sense of me. I can hear it. I've created a relationship with it. It's very clear for me. And I can listen and follow. And from that place, what eventually happens is that all relationships change. When you're living from your divinity, it is not the emotional sense of yourself. Divinity is the divine sense of you. The humanity is the part of you that has emotion, mad, glad, sad, and scared. The humanity part of you is the part that has male, female. The humanity part of you that is connected to your body. Emotions. Well, divinity, which lives in you, Christ consciousness, in God's image, all of those phrases we've heard our entire life, you commune with it through that small voice. Trust me, the more practiced you become at that small voice, that voice begets very loud, very powerful, and very determined. It will guide you. It will. I can't remember the name. But at this event I did a while back, they've got this big red carpet and these women, they're beautiful, and the pictures and all that. And I'm thinking, my friend, who's drop dead gorgeous, she perfect, perfect up there. Perfect up there, on you know, getting the pictures. And I said, She needs to find a man who loves taking pictures as much as she loves having her pictures taken. What would be their shared passion? Photography. His passion is behind the lens, her passion is in front of the lens. Shared passion. The way he loves is different than the way she loves. He loves by making sure things are focused. She loves by making sure her makeup is good. He loves by making sure the colors all match. She loves by the different movements she has. Love. Is that an emotional love? No, that's a presence of passion love. And in from a divinity position, love from divinity is not emotion. It's not. Why? Because emotions are high and low. Emotions come and go. Emotions can be warm bath. Some days the exact thing you love, you hate. That's why it's called human. That's why it's called emotional humanity. There's a there's a flow to it, there's an ebb and flow to it. There's a good and bad, there's a right and wrong, there's all of that to it. Love from a place of presence is steadfast. It doesn't move. It's not there and not there. It's just simply there. Passion. Love of passion. In my opinion, moving forward, the way people are gonna find communion moving forward is through shared passion. Why? Because in that passion, you have a place of love. People do it differently. She's gonna say, I love how it feels. He's gonna say, I love how it looks. She's gonna he's gonna say, I love taking pictures. She's gonna say, I love to having my picture taken. He's gonna say, I love playing the piano. She's gonna say, I love singing to the piano. He's gonna say, he needs her to say, I'm here for you. She needs him to say, I love you. They're going out on a date. He could say, I'll drive. She can say, I'll choose. If they're hurting, a man probably wants you to hold his hand. A woman wants you to hold her head. It's all the same, it just comes from different positions. And I have an entire keynote on this. Wish me luck, because someday I'm gonna be in, I'm gonna be in front of 500 or 5,000 powerhouse females, and I'm basically gonna tell the entire group, you know what? Your need for emotional communion with the man sitting across from you is probably based on an emotional need you did not get from your dad or your mom as a child. How do I know that? Because any need from another human is a wound. Is that a bad thing? No, it's not. What's the difference? Well, when you transcend wound, you transcend humanity. When you transcend humanity, you're sitting there and you're there because you're giving overflow. From a place of overflow, there's no need. Hear me? When you transcend humanity and you're in a place of overflow, your divinity, there's no need. The glory is in the giving, there's no need to receive. So women that are out there saying, I need to, I really need to emotionally connect to my partner for it to be real. I'm gonna tell her you need therapy or find the wound. But Joe, that's what love is. I hear you. How's that been working for you? You found a man that can emotionally support you? Are there some out there? Yeah. I can tell you, ladies, for every one there is, there's 99 of you. And you're not only emotionally connected, you're wise as hell, and you're intuitive your whole life. Men are just waking up now, even though they have the thing called emotion. Most. So it's much easier to commune with a partnership that you could live the rest of your life with in a shared passion. And those emotional needs, A, it's not your partner's job to support you emotionally. It's not. Your partner is there to receive your overflow, and you're there to receive his, not get, give. And that's the difference. That's the difference. That's the solution, that's the long-term approach where we create relationships from a place of divinity. Because when you're in a divine moment, you're sharing from your overflow, and there's no need present. The grace is in the giving. For me, when I have the right female next to me, I'm gonna be extremely grateful that she's sitting there, and I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure I feel grace because she wants to come back. Hear me. My approach to a female relationship someday, I'm gonna be grateful that she's there, but I'm gonna make sure she wants to come back, which is grace. And from that position, from that place, you go out there and you find somebody that has a shared passion. In that shared passion, there's love from a place of divinity, and it's steadfast. Your love for your passion is the same. You build a relationship on that foundation first, the rest of it will fill in over time. Thanks for being here, everybody. I really appreciate your support. I know podcasts like this are a lot. I was really mad. I feel a little better now. I know the concept of changing the approach and how you love is a big one. Listen to the episode over and over. Listen to all my episodes over and over. By design, I'm creating a library. The We podcast is a library of reference points you can go back and listen to over and over and over. A podcast like this, definitely listen to over and over. Of course, it's scary when you feel so alone. Of course. And the aloneness doesn't get easier as the world's waking up, it becomes more intense. As your external world is changing, everything on the outside world becomes unfamiliar. And as your outside world is unfamiliar, your inside world feels even more alone. What's the spiritual awakening to shift aloneness? Ask your higher power for support. If you're hurting, ask for strength and courage. If you're confused, ask for clarity. If you need inspired, ask for inspiration. It's in the asking that you spark the sense of the giving. Asking, you shall receive. Anybody ever heard that? What's the receiving? Inspiration. What's the asking? Humanity side. What's the receiving? Divinity side. The awakening that changed everything is when I became aware that I could ask God for anything, any moment, all the time, 24-7, not just in my challenges. And what did it do? How did it reinvent my life? It reinvented my life because I started asking for guidance for all things. And as I did it, more and more and more, when you've got the grace of God guiding your choices, internal abundance fills into overflow. You live from a place of overflow, you naturally then pursue passion and live a life with meaningful connections. So thanks for being here, everybody. I really appreciate your support. Together, we're making a difference. Together, we're healing humanity, and together we're changing the lives one smile at a time. And from around the world, welcome to We.
