SPEAKER_00You are being called into a season of greater visibility with your voice. This is 2026. We are not playing small anymore. We are not shrinking ourselves or silencing ourselves or trying to shape shift to fit someone else's box. We are stepping fully into our power and unlocking and unblocking our throat, our voice. Our visibility is such a big part of that. So that is going to be the focus of today's episode. We're going to have four reasons that you are being called to share your voice and to step into that season of greater visibility. So I am your host, Lindsay Macmillan. Welcome back to the Leap with Lindsay podcast. I am an author, a TEDx and keynote speaker, a creative entrepreneur. Formerly, I was a VP at Goldman Sachs and was doing the corporate life while incubating and building out this more creative life and creative career path for myself. And I'm so passionate now about whether you are in corporate and really just looking to step into your full leadership potential. Or if you are on the entrepreneurial, artistic journey or wherever in between, this podcast meets you where you are. It's a combination of mentorship and hopefully medicine for your soul. Just to know that you are not walking this path alone. This podcast in my community attracts a very specific type of person, a very old soul who knows that you are here for a big purpose. But sometimes that gap between where you are and where you're going can feel so dauntingly large that it can be crippling and give us, you know, that anxiety and that feeling of, oh my gosh, am I ever gonna get there? And even just the reflecting back, I left my corporate job four years ago and so much has happened. I mean, I've published four going on five books, given four TEDx talks, given keynotes around the world, now out earn my corporate salary as a full-time creative and entrepreneur, solopreneur. It has been kind of a wild ride. And to be honest, unlocking and stepping in through my fear, not getting over my fear, but stepping through my fear and allowing my voice to be seen and heard has been the single biggest reason that I think I have been able to do this career pivot and just kind of step more into my power and my potential. And I know that so many of you who listen to this and who I do coaching with and who come to my events and reach out to me on LinkedIn and Instagram, just all the things. So many of you are feeling like you're being called forward and like there is that shift. You are no longer wanting to be behind the scenes. You know it's it's urgent. And I don't say urgent in a way of trying to fear monger or anything. Um, you know, everything in divine timing, but it is it's a now thing. It's a today thing, it's not a tomorrow thing, it's not a next year thing. This 2026 energy is just asking us to be bold and be heard and be seen. For me, I started with that on the book side of things where it was scary putting my first book into the world, or even before that, putting my poetry on Instagram, um, then sharing my first books, doing talks related to my books. Um, that was the first big kind of doorway and um invitation through that fear that I stepped through. But then I did it on a whole different level, stepping onto the stage and having speaking being such a big part of my message, the impact that I make, and also my income and a really durable, beautiful, abundant revenue stream that I think candidly is more AI proof, if you will, than my written word. So I love writing first and foremost, my first love, my greatest love, but also in-person speaking and facilitating and keynotes and hosting in-person transformative deep experiences. AI cannot do that. Now, I also don't think AI can do beautiful writing just yet, but I don't know. Like I'm humble enough to kind of know with how quickly it's changing. Maybe you won't be able to tell AI writing versus human writing in a few years. That breaks my heart and it terrifies me. And also, I just know that the value of the human energy and human in-person experience is not going away in the least. It's only becoming more valuable. And so I'm so grateful as kind of a combination of, again, just this personal fulfillment, but also this professional portfolio career that I am leading, that I am able to have speaking as a big part of that. And tomorrow, actually, as I'm recording this, we are kicking off a six-week speaker gateway small group coaching program that will be an amazing opportunity to help people kickstart their speaking careers or help them up level. It's a combination of the energy work plus the practical strategy. So super excited to go deeper with that cohort of 12 women. But also I wanted to share with the broader group here, and just as this podcast is a free resource of some of that mentorship, I wanted to specifically focus on four reasons why you are being called forward to use the power of your voice. Because I think that when we're clear on our why, it becomes a lot easier to show up for ourselves, to put ourselves out there for opportunities. Like you kind of know, your intuition kind of knows. Oh, you're being asked to post videos on LinkedIn, or you're being asked to start your podcast, you're being asked to give a TEDx talk, you're being asked to do a university workshop and really help students um, you know, navigate this challenge that they're dealing with. Whatever it is, you kind of know where you're being called forward, but getting crystal clear on the why and that sense of the bigger mission and making it bigger than you, that to me has been the single biggest thing that has helped me, again, not just do this for my own goals and my own ego and my own um, you know, just almost indulgence. Sometimes is how it feels. That's not how it is, even just doing it for you is more than enough, absolutely. But I do feel like when I'm connected to the why of my evolution and my growth and my being in service to the collective and to other people and using my gifts and stewarding my gifts and uh generating wealth, not for myself, but then again, to be a good steward and custodian, it just really helps. So the first reason that you are being called into a season of greater visibility with your voice right now is collectively, we need your leadership. Okay, we need your leadership. If we look around at the news and the wars and all of this uh polarized discourse that just can help that just can make us feel really helpless, you are being called to cut through that noise and to help people feel seen, to help people feel connected to their humanity, help people feel like there is a more optimistic way to go about things, that they don't have to succumb to the fear and the feeling of pessimism and like all is lost, and what's the point anyway? That's not to say that we can't be aware of the gravity and the tragedy of what's going on in the world. And as empathetic people, we can hold our hearts open to that absolutely and put real action to healing that. But also part of that action is you speaking up, even if it's unrelated, even if it's you connected to business topics, entrepreneurship topics, you sharing your art in the world. All of that is a higher vibrational frequency. You know, I'm very into energy, but it's truly a higher vibrational frequency. And again, it matters less candidly what you are talking about and more that you are speaking and that you are putting your voice, especially the physical vibrations, more so even than the written word, the physical vibrations of your energy and your voice becomes healing for the collective, becomes birthing of this new paradigm, this new world that is built on radical empathy and intuition, a more feminine leadership style. And I don't just mean that if you're a woman, you can have um, you know, a more feminine leadership style no matter what. I definitely have a lot of masculine leadership styles in me, and I that has been rewarded in society, but the feminine is being asked to come out and to rise and to deliver your voice as medicine. Okay, so I think that's the first thing of just knowing that this time in history, I really believe that your soul came here for a specific reason at this time in this chaos, and you are being called not just in the level of activism, but in action in your expertise, whatever field, whatever passion, whatever topic you are being called forward on, you are doing it in a way that radiates light and goodness and kindness and empathy and these ancient modalities from intuition to psychic abilities to again just hold a high capacity to feel people's emotions. And that type of leadership style is radical in itself. It's very different from what we see in the corporate world, it's very different from what we see in the political world. And we are being asked, again, especially those of us who have a little bit more of that feminine leadership style, we are being asked to come forward and to balance and to give this resurgence of a type of leadership that has been lost and repressed and oppressed. So the first one is that collective. Okay, if you're too a little scared or nervous to do it for yourself, do it for the collective and for the people on the other side who are meant to hear your words. The second reason that you are being called to unleash the power of your voice is more personal. And this is actually just magnetizing money. So I was meditating on this, you know, I always meditate before I do my podcast to see what comes through, see what messages I receive. And it was just like money. It's just money, abundance, and ease-filled abundance. And that is enough. That is, again, not selfish that you're wanting to magnetize more money, not bad in any way when money is in the hands of good people and good leaders like yourself. That is when the world changes because you, you know, not only create a beautiful life for yourself, but you radiate that outward, you share, you donate, you support people. And truly the easiest way to bring in money that feels good to your mind, body, and spirit, to your nervous system is through sharing your voice. This is literally the easiest way. Even this podcast, right? Like, I don't have podcasting, it is not defin definitely not my biggest um part of my business or my kind of like portfolio of things, if you will. But every single podcast, I have a couple people who join my programs from it, and it's just free marketing. And I am just able to connect directly with people through my LinkedIn videos. I'm just holding up a camera or just my phone, and I record a little 60-second LinkedIn video, fill up the coaching programs for my writers, my speakers. I have companies reaching out, universities reaching out, seeing if I'll give talks to them. It's free marketing from simply the power of my voice. And again, my newsletter, you know, I can have conversion through my newsletter. Some people buy my books through my newsletter, sign up for my programs, book a discovery call, whatever. But there is something about the frequency of the voice, and you don't even have to be somebody who, oh, you have that perfect voice for radio, or oh, you're so confident with the microphone. That was not me, okay? But my just showing up as me, moving through that anxiety and fear in my body and putting myself out there, especially on video, but also just voice, because sometimes video can feel kind of like the clutter, but there's something about just the voice that is going to attract your most aligned client, your customers, your speaking opportunities to get paid well for your voice. It's also just a really fun opportunity to practice. You kind of like have your own channels. And again, you are really choosing yourself here. You're not waiting to be chosen. So, this is a way that you can attract money that does not rely on the gatekeeper system. So, sure, to give a TEDx talk, you need to be chosen. But to start a podcast or to put out a LinkedIn video, you don't. You have the power. And so much of this through line of today's episode is just about reclaiming your power. So think about hey, how are you using this beautiful asset, this innate talent of yours with your voice? How are you having an opportunity to maybe move through some of those blocks to play and to practice in a low-stakes way? And then start putting offers out there. Hey, you know, where are you driving people to after they see your video or listen to your podcast? Do you want them to buy your book or sign up for your free workshop or invite you to speak, you know, at your their university, whatever it is, give people kind of that entryway into your world by hearing your voice. And that's a way to cut through a lot of the AI noise as well now, too, because so much of the written stuff people are just tuning out because it's just too much. But especially you can tell the frequency of a human voice and use that. It's just free marketing to magnetize your people, and you don't need to be polished enough or good enough. Your authenticity and your unique quirks and style are exactly the same sort of soul family tribe vibes as people who are going to listen or be attracted to that. So, again, you don't need to really overthink this. I was just very much the energy of you're being called into your voice because it's gonna be your best, most fun, most magnetic marketing channel and a way that encourages you to step through that without feeling like, like right now, it just came, felt like there was an energy of you waiting to be chosen. So waiting for an influencer to promote you or something, or waiting for a TEDx um conference to choose you. But it's like, are you moving the energy yourself and are you choosing yourself and are you putting your voice out first and foremost? And that also then becomes the unlock, not just for people gravitating to you from the voice you're putting out, but it also moves the energy of those doorways that you feel like you're a little bit stuck or blocked in. And more people will invite you into their rooms, their doors, because you've already worked through this and you're not just in that blocked, stuck state. Okay, number three. So the third reason that you are being called forward into speaking, it's also a personal reason, and it's actually healing. So number one is collective leadership, number two is money, and number three is healing. Healing is the journey of our lifetime, and especially as women who have been persecuted for generations, I felt this energy of our ancestors just kind of cheering us on, almost caught between being protective of us because kind of being like, ooh, is it is it safe, Lindsay, for you to speak? Is it safe for you, Lindsay, to have a podcast? Is it safe for you to give tap talks on stages to 300 people? Is it safe for you to have your own business rather than rely on a company? Like kind of those outdated old-fashioned ways of our ancestors trying to keep us safe. But then also simultaneously, this energy of them cheering us on and just feeling like, oh my gosh, they didn't have those opportunities and how beautiful, right? That my grandmother, my great-grandmother, my great-great-grandmother. Um I am just able to be out there and be seen. This whole concept of a personal brand, of again, me out-earning my corporate salary, my Wall Street salary as a creative entrepreneur, as an artist, insane, really has happened very quickly. And so a big reason that we are being called forward with our voice is just that generational ancestral healing that connects both to our business, to our professional opportunities, and also to our personal lives. And I kind of just want you to take a moment and reflect and think about your grandmother, your great grandmother, your great-great-grandmother, the types of jobs that they were doing, the occupations, the way that maybe they were not safe to be seen. And this is really connected, again, both personally and professionally. So the fourth reason that you are being called, the fourth and final reason that we'll go over in today's episode, that you are being called into your speaker era is the culmination of the personal and professional. And for you truly just to be in your fullest expression and play and have fun. You showing up fully with your voice, you practicing that muscle, you healing your throat chakra, enables you to walk through the world, move through the world differently, enables you to stop settling in relationships that are making you shrink. Start advocating for yourself, start expressing yourself with your partner, with your family, with your kids, with kind of whatever dynamics are at play in your personal life. And I, when I say that, creating art, writing books, I was just having this conversation with the writers who just finished this tick-sweet cohort of my speaker gateway coaching experience. And we were talking about all of the blocks that came up and all of the ways that it's difficult. And the ones in my six-month cohort are really facing this because they're in it month after month. But writing a book becomes a mirror. Anything that is unhealed in us when we are writing that book, of course it shows up. Of course, it demands kind of us to look at it fully. And with the voice and with stepping on stage and with truly allowing ourselves, not just our writing to be seen, but our actual voice, our actual inflection, this living, breathing voice, for me, that was an entirely new level of stepping into that expression. When I tell you the confidence that that has given me, the ways that my relationships have quantum leaped, the way I left old relationships, that I felt myself shrinking after I stepped into my power as a speaker, the way that I attracted relationships that can grow with me and hold the vastness and the bigness and the untamable spirit that is me. Oh my goodness. I mean, I went from being the shy kid who on every report card was told, you know, the straight A student, but always told, oh, we wish we could hear from Lindsay more. We wish she spoke up more. I was always the shy little kid who was kind of just more comfortable writing and editing and having everything be polished before I would speak up. But since becoming a speaker, that has completely shifted. And now I am so much more fully expressed, which yes is the catalyst for why I am able to do what I do for work and get the book deals and get the keynote talks and charge what I charge and lead these magical coaching containers and these retreats and have a super engaged, magnetic audience. Yes, it's all there. But also more than that, it's why I am able to wake up in the morning and feel oh, just this bubbling joy and spirit of being alive and of being able to create and co-create with the divine and of being able to speak my needs and genuinely just attract amazing people into my life who are also challenging the status quo, who are also putting themselves out there, who are also stepping through and breaking the status quo and building an entirely new world together. Truly that intersection of that personal fulfillment and that professional growth, just to be our most fully expressed self. Okay, so all of those reasons, you're being called forward for the collective time of being a leader in this new age. We need you so much. You are being called forward into your voice to have an ease-filled, abundant career and life and attract money in a way that is so authentic to you. You are being called forward in your voice as part of your healing individually and ancestrally. You are being called forward into your voice because you know that you are meant for more and your most fully expressed version of self and everything that you are dreaming about and desiring is truly on the other side of you starting to put yourself out there. And so I hope that as we close today, you can just think about okay, what is that one intuitive action step? Just walk with that. If you can go for a little 10 minute walk after this episode, maybe you're on a walk right now. If you can just listen to, you know, binaural beats or one song without lyrics or turn off any kind of audio sensory activity and just sit with yourself for. Two or three minutes and see what bubbles up. See what your intuition is asking. It could be again recording a LinkedIn video or an Instagram video, practicing a voice memo or a video on Substack. It could be being on someone else's podcast, starting your own. It could be applying to that TEDx talk. But again, wherever you are maybe waiting to be chosen for your speaker era and for your full expression of your voice to come through, make sure that you're also choosing yourself and inviting other people into the room and not just waiting to be invited. So for example, when I was in New York recently, I hosted three little creative salons and I use the power of my voice to facilitate this conversation and ask prompts and help people feel seen. And I set up a little bit of my own story in the beginning, but then I just held that space. And that was a beautiful way for me to use my voice in person in a way that's very, very authentic to me and lent itself to this depth that I know that my people and that I am craving. So it's not a one size fits all. It's not a formula of follow these five steps to become a paid keynote speaker, right? That's the opposite. I have taken coaching programs, high-ticket coaching programs like that, that were completely, I shouldn't say useless because they pointed me back home to my own intuitive power and helped me truly step through and cross thresholds of being able to be in my power as a speaker. But it's just not how your magic or my magic works. So please listen to your intuition with this. Notice where in this episode you kind of got curious. And please follow along. I'm gonna be hosting probably a free workshop on this sometime soon. So follow me on Instagram and LinkedIn for that. Make sure you're subscribed to my Substack, which I will link here as well, which goes deeper. And thank you so much for joining for this episode of Leap with Lindsay, and I can't wait to see you next time.
