Hey friend, I'm Tracy Strader, and welcome to Beyond the Brand. I'm all about real conversations, fresh perspectives, and those little aha moments that help us grow in business or life. Over the years, I've built a multi six figure online community by doing one simple thing. Bringing people together through open, honest storytelling. I've been coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs for nearly three decades. My passion is helping others find direction, balance, and healing, and creating spaces where people feel safe enough to just be real. Each week, I'll sit down with entrepreneurs, community leaders. And everyday dreamers who are out there living boldly and inspiring others to do the same. My personal stories, business knowledge, and life experiences will be woven into this podcast as well. So grab your coffee, get comfy, and let's go beyond the brand together. Welcome back. If you join me last week, you know that we talked about reflection, the process of slowing down, assessing what's worked, identifying the things you like, and even the things you don't like, and then acknowledging where you want to go in your life and work so that you're connected with your purpose. For me, fall has always been the perfect time for this exercise. You could do it any time of the year, but fall is when I choose to do it. Today, we're taking this exercise one step further because although reflection is powerful, action is what brings your vision to life. This episode is all about bringing that awareness into alignment and gaining a focused momentum. Reflection always gives us insight. Intention is what gives that insight, direction, and action is what brings it all to life. Nothing happens without action. If you are feeling stuck, here are a few questions to ask yourself. What is one thing that I want more of in this next season? What is one thing that I want less of in this next season, and where do I wanna grow the most? Is it personally, professionally, or in my close relationships? Maybe it's a little bit of all of them. When I first started my business 15 years ago. I was everywhere. I served both businesses and consumers in our community, and for my service to meet the needs of my business clients, I needed the consumers to consistently visit my website. I needed traffic. Therefore, everything I did was putting me in front of consumers to elevate my visibility. Three years in. I was exhausted. What I had been doing was working, but it was not sustainable. I knew I needed to adjust. That year, my reflection process showed me what was working and what wasn't. The word grow came into my mind, and that turned into. What is it that you actually wanna grow, Tracy? My traffic, my revenue, my confidence, and my partnerships is where I landed. The next step was to analyze all of my activities. I ran everything through this filter. I would ask myself this question, will this activity. You can fill in the blank, get me closer to growing my website traffic, my revenue, my confidence, or my business partnerships. If the answer was clearly a no, the activity was removed from my routine. Every business meeting, networking function, teaching opportunity, or speaking engagement, all got ramped through that same filter and it worked fabulously. Then I made a minor adjustment to this process and began asking if the opportunity was getting me in front of the right people or the right audience. Again, if the answer was no, I graciously passed the results. Faster growth, less stress, and aligned goals versus busy goals. Does this make sense to you? It is so easy to fill our calendars with things that look productive, but don't move us closer to what really matters. Like most things in life, this is a process, and in the beginning, a new process can be hard to trust because it's a little uncomfortable, but when given time, it all tends to work itself out. Remember, not every season is for hustling. Progress over perfection has always been my motto. As the year ends, I would like to encourage you to pick three focus areas for the next couple of months. For me, those areas will be business growth, my personal wellness, and living minimally. To get started, I envision where I want to be and how I want to feel in 12 months. Then I break it down into micro goals. These are small, consistent actions that are measurable and build momentum. I recently started walking. My initial goal was to walk three miles per day, Monday through Saturday, or 18 miles per week. Sunday is a rest day. With each day behind me, I began to think I'm going too far away from 25 miles per week. How cool would it be to end the year having walked? 1200 miles. So I started walking a little more each day, and now I've got four weeks of walking, 25 miles under my belt. Here's the funny thing, A week ago I thought, I'm only 1.2 miles away from walking a marathon every single week. What if I walked 52 marathons in a year? How cool would that be? What would that do to my confidence in my health? Can you feel the momentum here? This doesn't even feel like work anymore. You might be asking yourself this question, where do I find the time for this? I asked myself that same question, and here's what I came to realize. The answer was in the reflection process. Now you do have to be honest with yourself. Between morning coffee with my husband and scrolling social media or touring, I found 90 minutes, and from there I gave myself permission to pivot and God started. Yes, I did have feelings of guilt in the beginning, but this shift has been so good for me emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I feel so good investing in me at this capacity. So here's a challenge for you this week. Grab a notebook, write down your top three priorities for the next season, and then for each one, I want you to list one action that you can take to move it forward. Remember, progress doesn't come from massive change overnight. It comes from small intentional steps done with purpose. Thanks so much for listening. If this episode encouraged you, I'd love for you to share it with someone who's ready to step into their next season with purpose and confidence. If you need support, DM me on Instagram at Tracy Strader and we can set up a call to determine the best course of action for you. I'll see you next Monday at 8:00 AM for another conversation that goes beyond the brand. Have a great week and cheers to living with intention and purpose. I.
