“When Did We Give Power to Our Government?” by Madison King examines the origins and evolution of governmental authority, questioning how and when citizens transferred power to political institutions. The piece explores historical foundations such as social contracts, democratic consent, and constitutional frameworks, while also considering whether modern governments still reflect the will of the people. It challenges readers to think critically about authority, accountability, and the balance between individual freedom and state control in contemporary society.

When did we become a country that allowed our government to abuse us and put us last? Just like any relationship, if you set the tone of how you're going to be treated or how you would want to be treated, then it's going to continue a precedence. And I think at some point, maybe 2019, when the COVID hit, we set a precedence for ourselves with our government on how they can treat us. And it's the reason why we are put last to this day. See, other countries are benefiting off the taxpayer in Australia. So for example, we are giving$25 million to Palestine and Israel per year. Plus, Israel gets$50 million for security and uh schooling here in Australia. And then Palestine gets another$32.5 million for whatever they need. It's all in the section read at the end. Then we go on to allow our government to send a billion plus dollars over to Ukraine, a country that we've never had anything to do with. But their country now is in rubble and ruins because of their bad leadership and their president. Their president who worked very closely with the Democrats in America who were warmongers. You only have to see what the Democrats are doing to their people in America right now, and it's now that American people are waking up. But is it too late for us as Australians? Have we set a precedent on how our government can control us and treat us and how we're always coming last? They have put$10 billion aside for 30,000 houses. But there's a catch to this. Those 30,000 houses must be built within five years. Now I am no mathematician, but I can tell you right now, this past year we have brought in one million people into this country. So one person every 46 seconds. So that one million people that are coming into a country that already has a housing crisis, food shortage. We have farmlands and stations being sold off to the highest bidder from a foreign country. It's a different takeover. But we've allowed this. We have given so much power to our government that they dictate to us where our money goes. We talk about corruptions in other countries, but we don't talk about the corruption in our own country and how this is affecting us as a whole. So when we talk about infrastructure and the lack of it, we only have to look to small towns, small communities to see that there's nothing. Things are dying, high suicide rates, farmers are dying at the hands of suicide because they can't afford stuff. Where is the support for them? Where is the support for the homeless in the city? Where is the support for the high population in the city when it comes to finances, jobs, prospects, education? See, we're already giving$20 billion a year to the universities when really we should be pumping money into other sectors like TAFE, high schools, diverting kids that are talented, or looking for entrepreneurs in this country that have a different method of thinking. So the only way we can resolve this problem is by those people that have the Pennywongs and the Albanese in their electorate. You are the only ones that can save this country. You really are. You are the only ones that can vote these people in and then vote them out. And for the love of God and for this country, please vote these people out. They don't deserve to be in parliament. And this goes for the Linda Burnies as well. Vote them out. You guys have costed the taxpayer billions of dollars because of your stupidity, your negotiation skills, and your mediation skills. You have not had the best interest of the Australian people. So when you go to the next elections next year, take all of this into consideration and vote properly. Vote for this country and vote for the right people that are patriotic.
