Today we have on Tyler's wife, Bonnie Cox. We talk about Duke basketball, Bonnie's time as a nurse, and her excitement for house church
Welcome back to the Tyler Reagan Exchange. Today I'm gonna have on a very, very, very, very, very, very, very special guest. Her name is Bonnie Cox. That's right. My wife. Um and it was very fun. It was interesting because I know everything about her. So asking questions and having a conversation with her was interesting. But we talked about youth basketball, the love of her life, um, a little bit about our coming together, about house church that we're doing together, and other couple cool things.
unknownSo hope you enjoy. Uh thanks for being here.
SPEAKER_02Is that a red light or a green light? Isn't it supposed to be green?
SPEAKER_01No, now it's it's like never in the history of recording has anything been a green light, meaning recording.
SPEAKER_02Call Joey.
SPEAKER_01Joey's probably passed out.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because I texted him.
unknownLike, I got it.
SPEAKER_02Nothing. Dude, I wish I was Joey right now.
SPEAKER_03He was like giving me like, what time are you gonna be here?
unknownLike around from wind to win. So I was like, he might be willing to have scheduling it.
SPEAKER_01He probably is. Remember when he thought he was gonna be able to come over here the next day? He kept being like, just come get me and I'll I'll be fine. Like, we'll hang out and watch basketball. I was like, bro, you are not gonna want to leave your bed. Like, you are not gonna want to leave your bed. And he did not believe me. No. Now he's right in that.
SPEAKER_02I literally texted him today, I was like, Do you wanna like how do you feel? And he's like, as much as I would like to come over, um, I feel like my face is about to explode. It's like, yeah. All of them.
SPEAKER_01I think he had five.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he did have five.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. His family has like extra.
SPEAKER_02They're super wise.
SPEAKER_01They're super wise.
unknownI only have one.
SPEAKER_02Is that normal?
SPEAKER_01I think it's different for everybody. I have four. I feel like that's pretty normal.
unknownI feel like four.
SPEAKER_02You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Somebody was just here the other day and said they had three. Yeah, you got yours taken out.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna say I got mine removed. And I was wide awake.
SPEAKER_01Who was it that was just here that only had three?
SPEAKER_02Uh, Andrew.
SPEAKER_01Was it Andrew?
SPEAKER_00Hopefully.
SPEAKER_02Which means all of that that we just said, Joey has the potential to use. And based on last week, from what I realized, based on watching the YouTube video, you can't trust Joey with anything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was pretty good.
SPEAKER_02Because he didn't show up last week. Also not here for this recording, and then goes to edit and tries to diss me. But whatever. So that's my call out to Joey. And he's probably gonna do something with this too. Anyways, how do you feel about Duke?
SPEAKER_01Duke? Yeah. Best team in the country.
SPEAKER_02Do you really feel like that? Absolutely. After your first two games, you feel like that?
SPEAKER_01After the first two games, we were a little bit shaky. We didn't have a game. Do you feel like that about the first game? No. But we were not playing our best in the first game. We were rattled. Okay. Half our teams never played in the tournament before. They don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's always how it is with it, though.
SPEAKER_01That's not true. Not always. In the last couple of years. In the last couple of years, yeah. But and that's uh exactly. That's kind of how Duke rolls in the tournament. They're they're a little iffy off the jump, but they'll get it together.
SPEAKER_02I don't disagree. I'm not a hater. I'm not a Duke.
SPEAKER_01We won by like 15 last night. So true.
SPEAKER_02Don't turn it on when you had to. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It was only close for a few. Well, it was close for the first half, but we locked it in at the end.
SPEAKER_02Caleb's over there, just like I don't think he has as much confidence as you do.
SPEAKER_01He's not a real Duke fan.
SPEAKER_02That's one thing. You can't say that to him when he doesn't have a microphone. That's not fair.
unknownOkay, I'll yell at him.
SPEAKER_01No! Dude can be the worst team in the country, and I'd still say that they're gonna win the tournament. Because I'm a real Duke fan.
SPEAKER_02That when we started dating was polar opposite about us. Yeah, because you're I go into every Tennessee game expecting defeat.
SPEAKER_01Expecting loss. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then pleasantly surprised if we win. And you expect victories. That's because it's a lot harder to be a Tennessee fan.
SPEAKER_01It's a lot harder to be a Tennessee fan than it is to be a Duke fan, though, because yeah, you guys are historically just not great.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02When's the last time y'all won a national championship?
SPEAKER_012015. When's the last time you guys won one?
SPEAKER_02How was that a diss? What the heck?
SPEAKER_01I'm just I was just asking. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02No, you're trying to diss me. I knew this was a bad idea. Get together and roast each other for the next 30 minutes.
SPEAKER_01Um I do want to set the record straight. I am also a Tennessee fan. I did marry into that. Um I didn't say you were. That cult of fandom, which I love. I love it. It's a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_02I don't feel like we get accused of being a cult, though. You say that just now, but never before have I heard being called a cult.
SPEAKER_01Nah. Not like Penn State.
SPEAKER_02A M.
SPEAKER_01Not like AM.
SPEAKER_02Penn State. Clemson. Clemson is a cult.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Clemson's a big time cult. Yeah. I don't think they get enough recognition for being a cult.
SPEAKER_01I don't think they get enough hate.
SPEAKER_02Uh they definitely don't get enough hate. Because they take a lot of ills.
SPEAKER_01The inferior orange.
SPEAKER_02The inferior orange. There's so many inferior orange oranges. Miami's orange to the biggest.
SPEAKER_01Also the inferior death valley.
SPEAKER_02That is very true. You're just out here swinging. I am sorry.
SPEAKER_00I'm just out here roasting people. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Swung at me. Now you're swinging at the entire population of Clemson and Clemson grads. Um how's work?
SPEAKER_01Work's great. I love what do you do? I'm an ER nurse.
SPEAKER_02What do you do?
SPEAKER_01I save lives. It's a beautiful day. It's a beautiful day to save lives. Oh, did you hear that? My neck actually popped.
SPEAKER_02That's same.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't normally do that. But yeah, I love it. I love the excitement, the adrenaline.
SPEAKER_02Of saving lives?
SPEAKER_01Of saving lives. Holding people's lives in my hand.
SPEAKER_02Bro, everybody holds people's lives. Every time you get in a car, you hold people's lives in your hands.
SPEAKER_01No, that's not true.
SPEAKER_02That is 100% is true. I think you're the best nurse I know.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. How many nurses do you know? Actually, that's a lot.
SPEAKER_02You count if you want me to. I know a good amount. Through you, obviously. Right. But um, still a lot of nurses. I want to back up track though. Backup track. I think you do hold people's life in your hands every time you get in behind a steering wheel in a car.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the people in your car.
SPEAKER_02And the people on the other side of the road.
SPEAKER_01I feel like their lives are more in their hands than yours.
SPEAKER_02Psych. I guarantee I can surprise somebody.
SPEAKER_01Everybody is responsible for their own life in their own vehicle. And in doing that, if you're taking care of your own life, then you're looking out for the lives of those around you.
SPEAKER_02So you just proved my point. Thank you. Um, moving on. She proved my point, did she not, Caleb?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01No, Caleb looked just as confused as I did when I looked over there.
unknownI wasn't really bringing with Tyler.
SPEAKER_00Whatever, whatever.
SPEAKER_02It's okay. Some people just can think better.
SPEAKER_01Um I get paid to critically think. Hey, that's like 90% of what they teach you in nursing school. They don't really teach you anything else, actually.
SPEAKER_02I get paid to actually they don't teach you anything.
SPEAKER_01I learned that on the stuff.
SPEAKER_02That's not true. Nursing school doesn't teach you anything?
SPEAKER_01Nursing school doesn't teach you anything.
SPEAKER_02Then why was it why'd you make it out to be so hard?
SPEAKER_01Well, it was really hard, first of all.
SPEAKER_02I don't disagree with that.
SPEAKER_01It was absolute torture. But I didn't learn anything applicable to what I do. Oh, so that's just other than just like disease. No. Other than just like disease processes and stuff like that. I didn't learn anything like super applicable to my life in the emergency department.
SPEAKER_02So okay, so you could have learned, like if you were in like a different nursing field, there could be stuff that's not.
SPEAKER_01Not necessarily, honestly, because I was a med surge nurse too. It's just nothing ever happens like it does in a textbook.
SPEAKER_02Valid.
SPEAKER_01So you can't take a textbook and apply it to a person necessarily because like everybody presents differently with stuff, and the only way you can learn that is on the job.
SPEAKER_02That's fair.
SPEAKER_01And that's 90% of what you're doing.
SPEAKER_02So is there any career field that a degree is actually helpful?
SPEAKER_01Medical school.
SPEAKER_02So being a doctor.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02So then the the textbook?
SPEAKER_01Not even not even medical school. I feel like residency, because they're on the job learning. That's what residency is.
SPEAKER_02So textbooks are just useless. Yeah. We should get rid of all of them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, school is useless.
SPEAKER_02That's where I was getting to. Glad we got there that fast. Um, you know what me and Caleb were just talking about?
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_02No, I can't talk about it. Because we and you were gonna talk about it. Yeah. Yeah, we're gonna save that. Are you looking forward to uh the new Spider-Man? Because Spider-Man's your favorite character.
SPEAKER_01I'm so excited for the new Spider-Man.
SPEAKER_02You think that Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man and you thought that before me and Adam.
SPEAKER_01I would just like to set the record straight. I just thought there was some misinformation on the Adam McCabe podcast.
SPEAKER_02Um I was like, I don't remember what we said.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you said that so Adam made my exact point that Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man, Toby McGuire was the best Peter Parker, and Tom Holland is the best, like all around Nerdy kid, nerdy kid Spider-Man.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and I agreed with him.
SPEAKER_01And you agreed with him, and both of you said that I disagreed with that, and that actually I came up with that point and gave it to Adam years ago. Years ago, and he adopted it as his own.
SPEAKER_02And have y'all talked about that?
SPEAKER_01About what?
SPEAKER_02The fact that he adopted it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, probably years ago when he adopted it. But we never talked about it since then.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so you could be calling him out for something right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm just gonna make sure he listens to this. He should listen to something. I already called him out for it. One of my favorite things in the world is watching you and Adam R you.
SPEAKER_01Nobody wins.
SPEAKER_02Nobody wins. It's just me sitting there just like, these are two of my favorite people in the world, just yelling stuff that doesn't make sense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, nobody nobody wins when Adam and I.
SPEAKER_02Um, so you've seen the trailer?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Have you done any research?
SPEAKER_01No. I've done like I've had like the conspiracies come through my like TikTok and Instagram for you page, like him being in the cocoon and stuff like that. He's morphing into Man Spider instead of Spider-Man, which is like the dark, scary Spider-Man. His his um mutation is taking over him. And yeah, I've seen that because you know there's that clip where he's got like the black eyes, and there's that clip where he's in the cocoon. And uh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Do you think it's gonna happen?
SPEAKER_01I don't know that they're gonna take it that far.
SPEAKER_02He's depressed.
SPEAKER_01He is, because nobody remembers him. I would be depressed if nobody remembered me.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02True.
SPEAKER_01So valid. He can be depressed about that.
SPEAKER_02His uh his Zendaya being flirted with. Yeah. That'd be a wild feeling.
SPEAKER_01Wasn't she dating his like high school bully?
SPEAKER_02No. No, I don't think it was him. You're talking about uh uh what's his name? The guy. Yeah, Flash. Is it Flash? What is it?
SPEAKER_01It's not Flash. Is it Dash? What's his name?
SPEAKER_02It's something that was his bully.
SPEAKER_01The bully.
SPEAKER_02And that's what I said.
SPEAKER_01Oh, who was she dating? I thought that wait. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02You can't hear it. Bleep. I just whispered it. That's the whole point of the whisper.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I should have held the mic up.
SPEAKER_02You tried. And I heard it.
SPEAKER_01I don't I can't remember who he was who she was flirting with then if it wasn't Dash, but Flash. Flash, Dash, what was his name? Flash is from the incredible system. I know. Well, Flash is a different superhero, so is it Flash?
SPEAKER_02In a completely different thing. I think it's Dash.
unknownThe guy with the phone like always recorded.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. It's Flash. It's Dash.
SPEAKER_02It's look it up. Get on your phone. Look it up. I'm so right, and you're so wrong, and I'm so thankful that we get to be on camera when.
SPEAKER_01I might be wrong because I couldn't remember his name for the longest, but I really want to say that it's Dash.
SPEAKER_02I really hope I'm not wrong.
SPEAKER_01I really think I really think you're wrong. Yeah, what's it? Yes. No, I think you're lying. What's his name? He just looked it up. Show me. Ah. Is his real name Flash Thompson? Like that's the actor's name?
unknownNo, that's the guy.
SPEAKER_02I'm listening.
SPEAKER_01Oh, oh, oh, okay. Shut up.
SPEAKER_02I'm waiting.
SPEAKER_01You were right.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was.
SPEAKER_01I can say it. I've been wrong once, I can be wrong again.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. Um who do you think is gonna win March Madness?
SPEAKER_01Duke.
SPEAKER_02Do you really feel like that?
SPEAKER_01I really feel like that.
SPEAKER_02Who do you think will be your biggest struggle?
SPEAKER_01Like on the team? I think our biggest struggle is not having Caleb Foster. I don't think that it's anybody that's oh, like do you think who what team do you think is gonna be our biggest struggle?
SPEAKER_02I was like, where is this going? I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01Where's my where's my bracket?
SPEAKER_02Impress me. You don't know your road?
SPEAKER_01No, I don't remember I don't remember who else I picked in that bracket.
SPEAKER_02Um okay, let's move on.
SPEAKER_01Um Did you even prepare questions for me?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I didn't. Um this this is how every single podcast goes.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02I'm just I've never prepared any questions at all. I just want to be friends. Do you want to be friends?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you should probably prepare questions.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're gonna tell me how to do the podcast now? Please tell me how to do the podcast.
SPEAKER_01If you're gonna have a podcast, you should probably prepare questions. Okay, like so that like if there's dead space, you can just pop out another question. Sometimes you can't think well on your feet.
SPEAKER_02How first off, take that back right now. Well, like take it back. Take it back.
SPEAKER_01Am I wrong?
SPEAKER_02It was one time. One time I fell apart. Every other time I've been locked.
SPEAKER_01I mean, yeah, all the other podcasts have been good, but I thought you were preparing questions.
SPEAKER_02I'm not. Which should impress you if you think that all the other ones are good. I suppose. What questions would you suggest that I prepare for this podcast?
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'm not the Are you so glad to have married me?
SPEAKER_01This isn't the Bonnie Clare Exchange.
SPEAKER_02Are you so glad to have married me?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02See? That's a question that I could have prepared, and you answered with yes.
SPEAKER_01Indeed. I love being married to you.
SPEAKER_02That sounded so fake.
SPEAKER_01The question felt fake, so whatever.
SPEAKER_02Um did you think that when we started dating that we would be where we're at today? Actually, where where do you think we would be? Like when we first started dating, where did you think we would be? What is what be married six years and six days?
SPEAKER_01When we started dating, I don't know that I I mean I knew that we were gonna get married as soon as we started dating. Before we started dating, I knew we were gonna get married. Just is what it is. Um you were that guy in high school that like I told my other boyfriends not to worry, worry about. Y'all know that guy. They should have worried. They should worry. You should worry. If your girl has a guy and she tells you not to worry, you should worry.
SPEAKER_02For those of you that can't see, Caleb's currently over in the corner dying. Because he struggles to drink water.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's hard sometimes.
SPEAKER_02Alright, so you always knew you'd marry me. Yeah, I didn't. I was I was the guy that she told you not to worry about. Why?
SPEAKER_01What do you mean, why? Like, why what? Why not worry about you? Or why did I know we were gonna get married?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Why are we gonna be married?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Like, that was just the first thing that I thought when I saw you for the very first time. That sounds super corny and cheesy, but it's true. That was the very first thing that I thought was like, huh, I might marry that man. And I'd never spoken to you before. And then you stared at me at a pizza hut and then I freaked stared at you really hard across the table at a pizza hut.
SPEAKER_02It's creepy. Not really, I stared back.
SPEAKER_01I thought we didn't for 40 and a half years after that.
SPEAKER_02Forty and a half?
SPEAKER_01Four and a half.
SPEAKER_02Four and a half, yeah. And you dated so many people.
SPEAKER_01I dated so many people. I dated so many people. Let's open that can of worms. No, let's not open that. Please, let's open that can of worms. You did. I can count on one hand the amount of people I dated.
SPEAKER_02Me too.
SPEAKER_01Whose hand? Not one with five fingers.
SPEAKER_02I thought we were using both hands, my bad.
SPEAKER_01Even if we did.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01You're not you don't have enough room.
SPEAKER_02Um so no, when I say when we started dating, where would you have imagined us be at right now? Like, obviously married, but like I'm 29, you're 25. So at the age of 29 and 25, where would you have thought we would have been? As opposed to where we're at now.
SPEAKER_01Um, I I mean, I don't really know. I knew I would be a nurse. Yes. I knew you'd be in ministry. Yes. Maybe a couple of kids, maybe no kids. I really didn't think a lot, other than I can't wait to get married to him. So the marriage So like it's really exactly as I pictured it. I am a nurse, you are in ministry, we are in ministry. We do have a kid.
SPEAKER_02So did make one of those.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Katie did not like that first one at all.
SPEAKER_03No, it was bad.
SPEAKER_02Um, so when it comes to ministry, obviously we're both stepping into a new season of life with that. Um what are you looking forward to most about stepping into the home church calling that we have?
SPEAKER_01Honestly, like just hosting people in our house all the time.
SPEAKER_02Like, I which I think we should talk about how much of a miracle that is.
SPEAKER_01A miracle, what is?
SPEAKER_02That you you're looking forward to hosting people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I used to hate people.
SPEAKER_02It just blunt. Like, and honestly, sometimes I can attest quite literally, just like did not want people around me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just didn't want to be around people. I was very much a homebody, very much a hermit. Um, just wanted to stay at the house and play video games and watch TV and be mad at the world.
SPEAKER_02Valid. When did that when do you feel like that fully shifted to being like I love having everyone over all the time?
SPEAKER_01I don't think it was a full shift. It was a very slow change, I think. Like it was a very slow progression into where I am now where like I love having people around. Like I love hosting people, I love having people in sleep in the guest room and like make up the bed and make it look cute and like lay out a towel for them so they can shower and make sure that there's shampoo and stuff in the in the guest bathroom, and I love cooking for people and I just really love it. Like, but like it was definitely a slow burn to get there because it didn't just happen, like I didn't just wake up one day and be like, I want to have everybody in my house. Yeah, it was just like a slow transition. I think it honestly came from having really good friends. Um, I think that most of my life I didn't have great friends, and so it was never really like a desire to have them around very often. Um, I had one group when I was in high school, it was my youth group that I was really close with, and I loved having them around. And then when we left that church, it was just hard to keep up with everybody, and I keep up with some of them still, but we're not super close. But those were really the only people that I wanted to have around, and so once they were not close by anymore, it was easy to just be like, ah, I don't really like anybody else. Um, but then as you get older and you get like learn what really good friends are, it's like you just want them around all the time. And then me and Charlotte, my best friend Charlotte, we were talking the other day about how why why do people not just like move into the same neighborhood with their friends? Like as adults, as adult, I'm gonna talk to the camera. As adults, we literally have free will. So, like, why why do you not get all your friends? And move into the same neighborhood. Why not? Like, you literally have free will. You can make your own decisions. And you can move to a neighborhood, and you can be like, hey, you guys should buy this house that's in this neighborhood. And then we can be neighbors. And they have the free will to be like, you know what? That would be sick. And they can do it. So now I'm trying to recruit all my friends to move into the neighborhood we're moving into. And um, they all have free will, so they should definitely do it.
SPEAKER_02It's a great idea.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I just I think it definitely just comes from having the right people around you. And because if you have the right people around you, then you do want them around, and then you want to host them and be right.
SPEAKER_02So what's the difference between so like with us we were wanting to start a house church ministry? That doesn't always mean having your friends over. So what do you think the biblical difference is between like fellowship and hanging out with your friends and being hospitable and um having strangers in your home?
SPEAKER_01Well, that's the calling from the very beginning of scripture is to be hospitable. I mean, you see uh Abraham with the three visitors, and they immediately are just like, let me cook for you, let me do this for you, let me do this for you, and they what?
SPEAKER_02Not yes, but he was fresh off of circumcision and sprinted after them when they showed up. That was his initial response. I just want to clarify that. Okay. Well that in his discomfort, he still made sure to chase after the visitors.
SPEAKER_01The um the whole point is hospitality, and like God calls us to be hospitable from the very beginning, and he calls us to welcome people in, uh foreigner and everyone that the marginalized, the the needy, the poor, the widow, the orphan, um, those on the outskirts of society, like we're called to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those people. And like that's another thing that like I love, and I don't know when this shifted or what caused this shift, but to be hospitable to those people and to be able to be that person for them when no one else is willing to be. Um I mean, that's what God calls us to. And so it's a really good feeling to know that like that was part of the original story. That was part of the original, you know, what what God desired from us from the very beginning was to be hospitable. That's what Jesus desired of his disciples was to be hospitable. And to make people know that they're loved and that they're welcome and that they're home where you are. And so that's just the goal is to make like I want my home to be everyone's home. I want it to be a place where everyone comes in and they know immediately that they're welcome, they're safe, they're loved, there's food in the cabinet, there's drinks in the fridge, and they can just be here and be loved.
SPEAKER_02That's good, that was beautiful. I was getting hype just sitting there listening. Um I was just picturing it all. That's crazy. I just when as you were talking, I just like zoned out and started getting excited about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And an another thing that and you may or may not think this is biblical, but it's what you're placing on our life is every single couch in our house now also has to be a pull-out bed.
SPEAKER_01It's like yes, I am placing that in our life. Every single piece of furniture that we own has to be able to be slept on.
SPEAKER_02I literally I wanted to. There's a specific type of couch that I want to get for our new living room to go with this one. And I'm like, I want it to be like this. And she was like, Does it pull out? Can it be a bed? I was like, bro. No, it wasn't. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01It wasn't. And if it's not, get it out.
SPEAKER_02Whatever.
SPEAKER_01It's because I get it. I know literally when it's when Snowmageddon happened a couple weeks ago or a month ago.
SPEAKER_02Go listen to the Mason Road podcast if you want to know about Snow Mageddon, because we recorded that during Snow Megan.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was during Snowmageddon. But we had people on air mattresses, and there were like 12 people sleeping in this house, and three people slept on this couch that we're sitting on right now. Three people slept on this couch. There was a lot of footsie being three people slept on air mattresses, and it was insane. So if I can prevent that from happening again. Yeah, you were in the bed.
SPEAKER_03In my bed.
SPEAKER_02It's great.
SPEAKER_01It's great. I didn't even notice that there were people on the floor.
SPEAKER_02No, this is wild. I was chilling, dude. Comfortable. Yeah. Saying on.
SPEAKER_01But I want, I mean, our new house has four bedrooms. So I want obviously our bed will be in our room, but we'll have a guest bed. The uh Bryson will have his room. The office.
SPEAKER_02I think I'll have I don't I think I'm just gonna go ahead and start in the garage.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Well, the second, the fourth bedroom will have a day bed that turns into a king-sized bed. So it'll look like a couch, but then it'll turn into a king-sized bed. And then we'll have this couch in the living room, and then I want a pull-out couch in the living room as well. So that we can sleep. Two, four, six, eight, up to like eleven or twelve people without an air mattress.
SPEAKER_02And then we start adding the air mattresses.
SPEAKER_01And then we can start adding the air mattresses.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think that I'm just gonna go straight to building the man cave in the garage.
SPEAKER_01That's fine.
SPEAKER_02Because it's climate controlled, so is it? I think so, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't think it is.
SPEAKER_02I can make it climate controlled. Why are you such a hater?
SPEAKER_01I'm not a hater.
SPEAKER_02I think you're a hater.
SPEAKER_01You know how to do that.
SPEAKER_02I know how to pay people to do it.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02How's life as a mom?
SPEAKER_01As a mom? It's great. I love being a mom. Bryson is like the coolest kid in the whole world, so that helps tremendously. True. I feel like some people are stuck with some not cool kids.
SPEAKER_02Well, you married a cool guy, so that helps with the production of a cool kid. I mean, think of his personality. Who would it resemble more than anyone in the world?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he's a punk, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_02Alright. He did not agree with that statement.
SPEAKER_01Bryson is a punk.
SPEAKER_02Bryson is not a punk. He's the sweetest of hearts. He's just misunderstood.
SPEAKER_01You call him a punk more than anyone I know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He does make faces sometimes where I'm like, that's the exact face I would have made.
SPEAKER_01Yep. But his side eye.
SPEAKER_02That's you.
SPEAKER_01He gets that from me. Straight up.
SPEAKER_02It's so evil.
SPEAKER_01It's so funny.
SPEAKER_02Rank your top three Disney movies of all time.
SPEAKER_01Wow, what a turn. All time?
SPEAKER_02I'll do top five. Top five.
SPEAKER_01Top five. The Lion King.
SPEAKER_02One? You got it.
SPEAKER_01It has to be in order? Yes. Wait, okay, can I just name five and then I'll put them in order?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's one.
SPEAKER_01Okay, The Lion King, Aladdin.
SPEAKER_02That's one. That's one one.
SPEAKER_01Um right?
SPEAKER_02I'm required. It has to be animated too, by the way. Hercules.
SPEAKER_01Hercules, Hercules. Caleb's disappointment. No, Hercules is good.
SPEAKER_02Don't argue with Caleb. Sorry. He's not in this podcast.
SPEAKER_01Sorry, his face. Hercules is good.
SPEAKER_02It's like you're checking for approval too much.
SPEAKER_01Lying, Aladdin, Hercules. It has to be animated.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Did you have a choice that wasn't animated?
SPEAKER_01No. Cars. Is that Disney?
SPEAKER_02Pixar. Pixar. You have to get off.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I really like The Princess and the Frog.
SPEAKER_02You just really upset Caleb.
SPEAKER_01What? I'm like your. I really like The Princess and the Frog. It's really hard without like a list of Disney movies in front of me.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so you would have rather do done three?
SPEAKER_01No.
unknownYou can't even.
SPEAKER_01Cars is definitely a Disney movie. No, it's not.
SPEAKER_02It's Pixar.
SPEAKER_01Disney owns Pixar.
SPEAKER_02It was made as a Pixar movie, not as a Disney movie. Disney put no funding into that.
SPEAKER_01I think you're wrong about that.
SPEAKER_02Look it up.
SPEAKER_01What year did Disney buy Pixar?
SPEAKER_02Dude, if I go two for two in this podcast, dude, I'm gonna lose my mind.
SPEAKER_01I can't even think of any other movies. Oh, Cars came out in 2011. So, anyways.
SPEAKER_02Look up how much of Cars was funded by Disney.
SPEAKER_01That's irrelevant.
SPEAKER_02No, my point was that that was a strictly Pixar movie.
SPEAKER_01You're not talking into the microphone.
SPEAKER_02I know, Vowski. Uh I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01He just wants to be right and he's not, he's not right. I guess.
SPEAKER_02Funded by who Disney.
SPEAKER_01Chump change.
SPEAKER_02Alright, I lose.$120 million. I'm wrong.
SPEAKER_01Funded by Disney to produce cars.
SPEAKER_02I'm wrong, you're right.
SPEAKER_01Okay, thank you. So we're tied. Lion King, Aladdin, Hercules, cars.
SPEAKER_02Still need a fifth. I feel like I'm forgetting something like really upsetting Caleb. You can't give her any hints. I can't believe Moana's not on the list. I'm a big Moana guy.
SPEAKER_01Um, Toy Story was Pixar, because Toy Story came out in the 90s. So I won't say that one. Did you say Moana? No, Moana is not in the top five. I think he's in my top five. Um, maybe tangled.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so now you rank your top five.
SPEAKER_01Oh, put him in order. Aladdin, Lion King. Cars, Hercules. What was uh what was the last one I said?
SPEAKER_02Tangled.
SPEAKER_01Tangled.
SPEAKER_02That's such a mid list, I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_01Give me yours.
SPEAKER_02Me. So my first list from the all-time Disney movies of all time.
SPEAKER_01You can't even think of five.
SPEAKER_02No, I can't think of five. I'm trying to figure out where I want to start for my top five.
SPEAKER_01Just name five and then put them in order.
SPEAKER_02Okay. It's Disney movies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um I'm gonna go Peter Pan. Great pig. Great pig.
SPEAKER_01No, that is that is not a good pick.
SPEAKER_02Peter Pan is great. Peter Pan pan. Have you seen the movie Pan?
SPEAKER_01Don't argue with Caleb. Peter Pan.
SPEAKER_02Have you seen the movie Pan?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's not the same as Peter Pan Pan.
SPEAKER_02It's the same concept.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not. Pan is really good.
SPEAKER_02Pan is one of the greatest movies of all time.
SPEAKER_01You're just trying to get Caleb on your side. I know that's Caleb's favorite movie. Peter Pan.
SPEAKER_02I'm joking.
SPEAKER_01Sucks. Pan is good.
SPEAKER_02It's not that bad of a movie.
SPEAKER_01Caleb's on my team.
SPEAKER_02Caleb's not on your team. He hated your list.
unknownI'm not here.
SPEAKER_01Caleb's a Duke fan.
SPEAKER_02What does that have? I'm a Duke fan.
SPEAKER_01Or tied by blood, by the brotherhood.
SPEAKER_02I'm a Duke fan. You can marry into Tennessee fandom. I can't marry into Duke.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yes. Alright. I'll let you.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean, let me? I pull. I fight Carolina fans more than I fight anybody else. It's the same thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's kind of the same thing.
SPEAKER_02And I also fight for Duke. I have no requirement to fight for Duke, and I do. Because I'm married into this.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02And to all you Carolina fans out there, you're faking frauds. Amen.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_02Um, that's all I got.
SPEAKER_01You didn't name your five movies.
SPEAKER_02I couldn't think of any. I knew it. I knew you couldn't think of any of it. I can name five. I can name five. I don't think Moana. I like Moana a lot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Milano is really good. It would probably be top ten for me.
SPEAKER_02Um Big Hero 6.
SPEAKER_01That's a good pull.
SPEAKER_02That is a really good poll.
SPEAKER_01No, it came out like it came in like 2015. It's like a newer movie.
SPEAKER_02I have to pick five that aren't in your top five just to see how much I can.
SPEAKER_01I already drafted my top five. So we should have done a draft.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um Pigure out six is a really good pull. There's one I'm trying to think. Oh, Mulan.
SPEAKER_01Mulan.
SPEAKER_02Great pig.
SPEAKER_01That is a really good pick. I love Mulan.
SPEAKER_02Great pig.
SPEAKER_01Um, Lee Shang, the male in that cartoon, was one of my childhood crutches. I was obsessed with that man.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad you found a man that looks a lot like him.
SPEAKER_01It was the man button. Why do you think I prefer your long hair?
SPEAKER_02That's crazy. No, no, we're not doing that. Um, so that's three, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Why do you count three like that?
SPEAKER_01That's how you do it in sign language.
SPEAKER_02Do you know sign language? One, two, three. Oh, so you do know sign language. You're over there, weirdo. Um I'm trying to pull like a really good one. Frozen?
SPEAKER_01Mid pull.
SPEAKER_02Great movie.
SPEAKER_01Mid pull though.
SPEAKER_02I have one more. I have had two really good pulls. All yours were basic, just like you. Um there's so much dead space here.
SPEAKER_01There's a lot of dead space here, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I really don't know. I could remember one. Rio is the Disney movie.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But the only reason I know that because Bryson's watched that 1700 times. But that's the only reason you know cars.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not. What? Oh Tarzan.
SPEAKER_02Home on the range. Great movie.
SPEAKER_01That is a great movie.
SPEAKER_02I just unlocked something. What is uh nah. Is Over the Hedge Disney? Over the Hedge is one of the greatest movies of all time. Actually, that's not true. Um Open Season is one of my top ten animated movies of all time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, same. That's up there for me.
SPEAKER_02Open season's so good. Boog.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a that was that would if you're I don't know if any of those are Disney though. I don't think either of them are Disney. Gee, Dreamworks. Shrek. That's fine. Shrek would be up there for me in animated Disney. Dreamworks. But it's Dreamworks.
SPEAKER_02I've never seen Shrek all the way through. I know. I've never seen any of these things.
SPEAKER_01And I've tried to get you watching it all the way through when you kept falling asleep.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I'm not opposed to it though. I just can't make it through.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, I love you. I love you. Thanks for coming on the podcast.
SPEAKER_00Thanks for having me on the podcast.
