Hey everyone, welcome back to the Tyler Reagan Exchange. Today, Tyler had on some of our best friends. He's actually the guy who produces the videos for each and every episode. Uh he's even better at producing basketball content and maybe wedding content. Welcome to the stage. Garrett. Hutchist or is it used? Never mind, it's used. I got scolded for that. Enjoy the episode.
SPEAKER_03Now, if Bonnie calls me at 2 a.m., I'm gonna be with her all night. Wait. I'm gonna be with her all night. Alright.
SPEAKER_04Um, so you just started a new Instagram page for a new business. Are you comfortable? Yeah. You feel great? Yeah. Okay. Tell me about the new Instagram page.
SPEAKER_01So basically, like I've been into sports photography and videography for like a year and a half. But I'm trying to get into like weddings and stuff now.
SPEAKER_04Are you trying to do like photography for basically anything?
SPEAKER_01No. Videography for videography for basically anything, but mainly weddings and like um do business promo shoots and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_04That will all go under First Look films. Okay. So that'll all be videography. Yeah. And then what's your other page gonna be? Shot by G20.
SPEAKER_01That's like purely sports.
SPEAKER_04Okay. And that's videography and photography. Yeah. So what is there any exclusive photography that you I mean So exclusive photography would be just for sports?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You wouldn't want to. I might I might do like a few pictures for like a few businesses maybe, but nothing like a whole photo shoot. I just don't I don't want to offer photography for weddings because like anything could go wrong. Like I feel like video is more consistent with it. So like I don't I feel like if I offer like photography just for businesses, like I have to do it for everything. Right.
SPEAKER_04So do you enjoy videography more than photography? 100%. Yeah. By a lot. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It used to not be that way, but like the more I've done it, the more I like video and like getting a new camera and stuff like that, learning how to color grade, yeah, stuff like that, it's made it more enjoyable.
SPEAKER_04Gotcha. Um, so is your future plan photography and videography? Like that's if you okay, dream scenario. You pop off as a videographer. You want that to be your career? 100%, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But if not, that if that's just gonna be your side gig, then what where are you going?
SPEAKER_01Think about plumbing.
SPEAKER_04What's thinking about?
SPEAKER_01Like that just percentage. That's my pl like probably 80%. Okay.
SPEAKER_04But is there anything else on the radar?
SPEAKER_01I mean, I've thought about barbering or like HVAC or something like that, but I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_04HVAC's You make a lot of money. In HVAC, I could be crazy, but I'm pretty sure in HVAC you learn everything. Yeah. I'm pretty you learn electrical.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because you I mean like I would think so because you're having to use like all of it. Yeah, all of it, because I pointed it, Joey.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Are you looking it up or are you texting somebody?
SPEAKER_03No, I'm just curious what you learn. Yeah. How much do they make though?
SPEAKER_01While we're at it. Yeah, yeah. This might convince me. Listen.
SPEAKER_00Um as of early 2026, they have an annual salary of fifty-seven thousand to sixty thousand dollars a year.
SPEAKER_06H5?
SPEAKER_00Yes. Not bad.
SPEAKER_06You do better.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I feel like if you open business, like it's better though.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And also, is that ChatGPT or Google? It's pro because ChatGPT would have like localized it. That's probably across the entirety of the nation. Yeah. So I feel like this area does a little bit better. I know some HVAC guys. They're not $50,000 a year.
SPEAKER_01They're doing same with plumbing, because I looked it up and it was like $45,000 to $50,000. I was like, no shot.
SPEAKER_04I know some plumbers.
SPEAKER_01Everybody tells me they're like, yeah, plumbers make good money. I'm like $50,000. That's that right.
SPEAKER_04I mean, like, it's not bad, but it's like $100,000 isn't what it used to be. Oh. I remember, is it like even like 18, 19, 20 years old? You got it?
SPEAKER_00Um, it says core skills include electrical circuits, thermodynamics, the refrigeration cycle, motors, and EPA certified refrigerant handling.
SPEAKER_04That's a lot. Yeah. It is a lot. Um, I feel like when I was coming out of high school, so like 18, 19, my goal is like if I reach $100,000 a year, set for life.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_04No. It bro, it doesn't even you. I mean, it's if you're really good with money and you're like chilling, you could save money, you could do everything, but you're not like vibing on $100,000 a year. So um, that's why you always have to look for regular streams of income outside of your regular.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. Now if I get that's the thing with weddings, like if I get good at that, bro, I get a drone, stuff like that, bro. You get out you could charge like four to six thousand dollars. Oh yeah. You make that a weekend, bro. That's you work two weekends out of the out of the month.
SPEAKER_04You're chilling.
SPEAKER_01Chilling. Like even even without another job, really, if you if you're getting like three weekends out of a month.
SPEAKER_04If you do two weekends and then you're doing like promos and stuff for other people, you're chilling.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Cause I mean, like two two weekends make six thousand dollars, twelve thousand dollars a month. Yeah. So it's like and you could push it to the like bigger, right?
SPEAKER_04And then you could always offer like specialty packages where you could make more.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um is this something that like you're gonna do as a team with somebody else, or um would you need to, like will you need a secondary camera and stuff like that?
SPEAKER_01Eventually, yeah. Cause I think I'm uh what I'm gonna do is teach Layla how to do it. Okay, so we can like tag team it. That's a good idea. Because like you can like one I think one cameraman, you can charge up to like six thousand, maybe that's about the max. You got like a drone and everything, but if you get like two people, three people, you can you can charge more. Yeah, you can get like different angles.
SPEAKER_04Do you think right now your prices are priced at a point that like do you think pri you're pricing right now just to get qual like con like content more than anything?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right now, especially with the like my shop at G20, I've been I charge like what I need to charge because I'm like I'm more solidified than that. Like I almost got 4,000 on Instagram, but I've been around for a long time.
SPEAKER_04Didn't your Instagram get taken down?
SPEAKER_01You had to that was that was one of my buddies.
SPEAKER_04I remember a whole conversation about that. I bro because how you've had to make sure that you do everything to make sure that yeah Instagram is tripping because it's like it's all ran by AI now, so like take stuff down that doesn't need to be taken.
SPEAKER_01It's gotten better though. Right. Not not anybody that I know recently has uh has gotten taken down yet. Right.
SPEAKER_04So is there a chance that maybe he just was actually Maybe, I don't know. It could have been just messing up. It could have been. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01But I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Fair enough. Yeah, so but right now you on that side of things, you're this is the price it would be, yeah, you and you're gonna pay it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. But like this the first look films right now, I I'll vary with some things because like I'd I'm reaching out to some companies just being like, hey, I'll come shoot a video for free just to get my name out there to put stuff on social media and like and then they're tagging you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because I gotta I gotta start from zero again. So it's like I'm just and I already know the like outline of it now. So like I'm just gotta do everything again. Yeah, but it's like a whole different field because it's a lot more professional.
SPEAKER_04Right. So you have to carry yourself more professional. It's it's a different clientele that you're gonna have to learn to communicate with and and I'm working a little with like with Shop by G20, I'm working with a lot of kids, right? But like this, I'm working with a lot of adults, and you'll have to handle yourself like an adult, which I think you do pretty well now, but um so when it comes to videography, out of the whole process, what's your favorite part of it?
SPEAKER_01Depends on what I'm shooting. Okay, sports, sports, let's go to sports first. Sports honestly, is really just being there, like especially when there's I don't like when there's like a heck of like a lot of photographers there, but I like it when it's like like four or five people that like I actually vibe with, and we just get to mess around and like talk the whole time, and it's a good game. But like that's that's probably my favorite part about the sports.
SPEAKER_04So more the environment than anything.
SPEAKER_01I do like I've I've learned to like editing a lot more though, because I've actually learned how to do it. Dude, I used to hate it, but like now now that I actually kind of know what I'm doing, right? I'm like, oh, that that's kind of fire.
SPEAKER_04Like right.
SPEAKER_01I get to mess around with stuff more because I know what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_04That's what when I so when I was like 19, I was up, my my mom and dad were like, hey, I really need you to figure your life out, and I need you to get like a career, and I get you like figure out what you want to do with your life. And I was like, Well, I'll just take pictures and edit them, and people will love it and pay for it. And I started taking pictures, I love taking pictures, that was sick. Yeah, and then I put them on my computer and I was like, I hate everything about this. Let me go do something else with my life. Yeah, that's like even with this podcast, I was like, guys, I editing and I because I could do it, I couldn't do it well, but I could get a product out, but it would take me like 18 hours.
SPEAKER_01See, bro, that like that's one thing about like other videographers and stuff, like no distant anybody out there listening, but like but like the turnaround times that they'd be having are like so long. Like some some simple stuff takes them like two weeks to get out, which I understand, like you want to take time and make it perfect, right? Like the longest I think I've ever taken on a project was a week. Yeah, maybe not even like right. I'm usually like like it's just like I know what I'm doing now, like I have like a style of my mixes and stuff like that, so I just throw it in there and it's do you think you're gonna take a little bit longer now that you're moving into kind of a different area of yeah, weddings I definitely take longer.
SPEAKER_04Um and also part of that's probably how much like say you do in a month, so you do three weekends of weddings. Like that's a crap ton of editing. Oh yeah. Good luck with that.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'll be happy when that check kits.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, you're you're right. You're right.
SPEAKER_01It'd be worth it.
SPEAKER_04Um so you're about to graduate high school. You excited? Yeah. How much more like you're a senior, so uh I think we get all April 28th. Then you're done. Yep. Forever and always. Forever. You excited? Yeah, heck yeah. You got all your classwork done and stuff? You kind of just like cruising now?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've got exams on the 28th, I think, like the last day of class.
SPEAKER_04You scared?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Because even if I vomited, I'm still gonna pass a class, so it's like Oh, for real?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So you're sitting pretty right now. Yeah. Dang.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I don't want to like fail, but no, no, no.
SPEAKER_04Don't go into it with the idea of doing it. Um, so that means you've only got a couple more months left in youth. Um then you've got to move into the adult world. Kind of scared. Kind of scared. Um, I was listening to the podcast that all of you guys were on, where I missed out on. Listen to all of y'all talk crap about me. Joey. You're a bum. It's really just Joey. Yeah, Joey's just Joey. And I'm glad you're here for this now, so you can just defend yourself. Joey just only talks crap about me on on podcast now.
SPEAKER_03Either he does it with a mic on on camera. Not a factual statement. Or not an accurate representation of my character.
SPEAKER_04Go back on the last five episodes and and you because you throw a while. I'm allowed to. Then why am I? You weren't there to you are allowed to. I'm just calling the fact that you do it. I'm not saying it's bad. Fair. Here you go, defitting and getting just even getting worked up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I think we should have like him, but his face was getting red and everything.
SPEAKER_01I think we should have like a debate versus you all too.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I would love a debate with Joey. Joey would just X, yeah. You're gonna have to edit this. And if you want to push the button when I say it, that's fine. We would start debating, and all he would do is get frustrated just like he was just now. His face would just start getting red, and then he would tell me he was gonna b my house. That's the way our conversations go. That's what happens when I was talking about how Ella Langley is so great and her album's so good, yeah. And he just like, nah, she stinks, she's awful, she's not even good looking. And then I'll be like, dude, let's talk about this, and then he just freaks out and says some crazy stuff like he's gonna my house. No, that's not a factual.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I mean, you did say you you were gonna b his house.
SPEAKER_03I mean, there is a video evidence of you saying that you would my house.
SPEAKER_04There's like three videos actually that you're gonna have to go through by the way and bleep this out every single time.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I hate you. You do need to go in and make sure that what if I didn't? I mean, you don't have to, but I mean wait, Tyler, is that why you moved, bro? Did he get your house? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I was scared. Now he's here again. I can't go anywhere and feel safe with Joey on the streets. It's horrifying. That face starts getting red, dude. It's wild. And I've seen him lift weights. Speaking of, how's the gym?
SPEAKER_01It's pretty good. I've even started to get more locked in with it.
SPEAKER_04You uh hitting the upper body? Yeah. Because that's you love hitting legs, is that correct?
SPEAKER_01I I used to love it.
SPEAKER_04I was about to say, back in the day, we talk about you're like, oh, I hate doing chest, but I'll do legs all day, every day.
SPEAKER_01Now that my ankles are kind of trash, yeah, it kind of hurts a little bit.
SPEAKER_04But every time?
SPEAKER_01Not every time, but just some some third days.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I've been taking creatine and stuff like that, so that's good.
SPEAKER_04When are you gonna get on the uh on the um steroids?
SPEAKER_01Soon.
SPEAKER_04Start taking them this week. I know a guy.
SPEAKER_01Real? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Like five people.
SPEAKER_01Send them my way.
SPEAKER_04Um just come to Strive one time and I'll point them out. If there's pimples on their backs and they're losing their hair, those are the ones. And no necks. There was a guy one time. Oh, I this I remember this like it was yesterday. I I started going to Strive maybe four years ago. So two years before we moved into the Reidsville house. And I was there every single morning at 6 o'clock. Yeah. This other guy started going same, or he'd been there, but I remember him vividly because he came in the exact same time I did. It was 6 a.m. He was in and out, same thing. Well, we uh or I started working out in the afternoon for a little bit for like a couple months, yeah, and then I came back, and I'm not joking. He went from looking like from looking like him to looking like him in like three months.
unknownGosh.
SPEAKER_04And his neck disappeared. And I walked up to him and I was like, hey dude, you know, been a while, how you been? We talked a little bit. I said, dude, you're looking huge. Like what have you been what have you been taking? Yeah. And he was like, Taking? I just eat 5,500 calories a day and I lift weights. I said, Cap. There's no way that steak takes away your neck. Yeah. So um Yeah, I know plenty of people. You just let me know. All right. Let me know what you want. Just kidding. We don't support the taking of We don't take steroids. Steroids. Actually, it's not illegal.
SPEAKER_01No, but it's still not good for you. That's what I'm told. Like it could kill you. So I mean, like you'd be jacked. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04When you die.
SPEAKER_01True.
SPEAKER_05Um you're distracting me.
SPEAKER_02I'm posting someone for this on the movie.
SPEAKER_05He's doing his job. He's doing it loudly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that clip where we're all like singing in a circle.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I found it.
SPEAKER_04That podcast, I'm not joking, so I listened to it. I listened to it in the gym. And I remember the entire time that I was listening to that podcast being just stressed. Well, I could that we were gonna like say something. Oh, dude, and y'all were just playing with the line the whole time. And by y'all, I really mean Joey.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna be honest, I thought you were gonna say Malachi. Bro, cut this out.
SPEAKER_02But the first whole part we were talking about, Joey's Instagram.
unknownHow do I know?
SPEAKER_04All right, let's leave that as far in the past as possible. Um so we were talking about last time we hung out, we were talking about where you go to church and how much you love it. And I think your perspective about your church and how much you love it and why you love it is cool. So I wanted to talk about it a little bit. Um obviously, you go to youth at the youth group that I used to lead with um Mason Rose's youth pastor now. Check out episode four. Three three? I think it's four. I want to say four. I think I think it's four. It was during the snow.
SPEAKER_01I don't even know who's three. Logan. Four.
SPEAKER_04It was four.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was four. Yeah. Five. Who was who was four? Four.
unknownJoey Agil.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Joey Aguilar.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was. Joey Agular. I don't know, some guy.
SPEAKER_04Some gay. Um he won an award just recently. Really? Yeah. But anyways, um, so you go to Uthair, but you go to Sunday mornings at a church close to your house. Yeah, breathable Bible chop. Yep. And you love it. Why?
SPEAKER_01Um, really, it's just because it's like I feel like I'm not a hater on like big churches, but I like a smaller church because I like to know everybody and like be relational with everybody. And just like I feel like we don't I'm trying to think of how to say this, but like you don't have to be politically correct. Yeah, I got you, but like I like we sing hymns all the time, uh which I really like that, but you could do without that. Yeah, I could do without times, but I feel like all of our like beliefs and everything are like really biblically sound, and like um just everybody around is very uh biblically sound. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Uh how long have you been there?
SPEAKER_01Uh my whole life.
SPEAKER_04Your whole life? Yeah. That's pretty sick.
SPEAKER_01Because my my mom's parents went there while she was a kid, and then they mom started going. That's right. Then my dad started going with me. And then yeah, so I've just been there a lot.
SPEAKER_04That's rare.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Like we live in a culture of church hoppers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That's that's another thing. Like, I really respect everybody at my church because everybody's like always there.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like uh all the people that started the church are still there.
SPEAKER_06That's sick. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because they like they started like out of a YMCA. Really? And readsable. Yeah, out of the reasonable YMCA and built a church.
SPEAKER_06That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Like everybody's all just still still there, yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's great. That's how it should be. Because that means they took like set up shop in a community, and there's like, no, we're yeah, we're about this game.
SPEAKER_01One thing I wish our church would do better is like putting ourselves out there because I feel like we don't have a lot of new people a lot of the times. And I feel like I was actually thinking about this yesterday.
SPEAKER_04Like, I was feeling like we don't not we don't it's not that we don't evangelize a lot, but I feel like a lot a lot of the times we just don't put ourselves out there, like be like, yeah, come to church, come come with us, career, like and it's tough because it's like you want to hold on to the model you have, which is like making sure that everyone's relational and stuff like that. Yeah. And you don't want to come across as like this like sales pitch model where it's like show up and you're gonna like it. Yeah, you want people to come naturally. Yeah, so you have to kind of balance, like you should evangelize. And I think that's what the beautiful part that I think your church is set up specifically how the church should be set up in the fact that the body is the one that's supposed to evangelize, meaning they're the one that are bringing people to saving knowledge of Christ, and then they enter the body. Like a lot of churches, I'm not saying this is wrong. Yeah, I'm really not saying this is wrong, but a lot of churches' model is the church, their only job is to get them in, like the people is to get them inside the building. Yeah, like the unbelievers inside the building. And once they're inside the building, the church leadership does the job. Everyone else can step away. When scripture says that the church is supposed to equip the saints, meaning to equip the body of Christ to do what it's supposed to do and to go out and find people and bring them to a saving knowledge of Christ. And then once they have entered the body of Christ by accepting Christ as Savior, then they enter that regular attending with each other and and growing each other. So it's set up perfectly. Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_01It's just me remember something that I preach still like about my church is we don't have a like a pastor, we have elders and deacons. And I feel like it's not like wrong to have a pastor, but like I like that um we have a lot of people like in leadership. I just like how that's set up, and we do um the Lord's Supper every Sunday, yeah. Which I feel like a lot of churches have gone away from doing that.
SPEAKER_04I yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_01I think that there needs to be because it's like it's the only service that the Lord commanded us to do, yeah, and nobody does it.
SPEAKER_04Up until the last like 500 years, which sounds like a lot of years. But it's really not, but in the entirety of the history of the church, it's not. And they the central part of the meeting together of the believers was the Lord's Supper. Meaning like it was not only the thing that they came to do like the most, that was what it was most important to them, yeah, but also it was actually in the center of where they met.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And then if when there was preaching, it was like off to the side. Yeah. And it still happened and it was good and stuff, but it was not the central center point. So I agree. I think that I think we need a coming back to that and then coming back to um like taking that super serious. That's when we met for the first time as a house church this past Sunday. And that's what we studied. We studied communion and the Lord's Supper. Yeah. And studied like we're studying like what the his like church history did and stuff. And um what the first thing we did was just read in scripture where it happened and what it says about it. Yeah. And then we took it together and really was really cool and sweet. Um while we're on it. Do you know I think it's in First Corinthians 11 when it talks about the Lord's Supper, at the very end of it, it's like I don't know, does your church take like the time before taking the Lord's Supper really serious where they're like, or do they just take the Lord's Supper?
SPEAKER_01So like basically the the service, I don't I don't know exactly what you're asking, but the service is like an hour and 15 minutes long, and like from 9 15 to like 10 15 for like an hour, it's just not silence, but like we sit in silence and the men 9 15 to 10 15. Yeah, and we'll and an hour. Some of the men will get up and like share s share things, and then and then that last 15 minutes will take will take communion.
SPEAKER_04Y'all sit in silence for an hour.
SPEAKER_01Well, not not silence, but like it'll be quiet, but then some people will get up like planned, or does it no, just it's just like whatever. Like whatever somebody's feeling. Like I like say I'm sitting there and I get up and I just share something that's on my heart.
SPEAKER_04So when do you sing?
SPEAKER_01We're not singing the Lord's Lord's Supper.
SPEAKER_049 15 to 10 15 an hour. You sit in silence, or if someone wants to share. Yeah. At 1015, you take. Then what?
SPEAKER_01Then we have like a 30-minute break, and then the the preaching the preaching and all right, gotcha.
SPEAKER_04I thought that was the whole service. No, no, no, no, no. That's really cool though. So so that pr time before is like time to actually look inwardly, and that's really cool. Yeah. That's something I think that's where I was going with that. Yeah. I don't I think a lot of times it's like thrown into a service and like, okay, just do it, take it.
SPEAKER_01See, yeah, that's that's why I don't like about like the how the big churches do it. Because when they do it, they do it like once a month. And it's just like you just take it, you're taking the communion. But I feel like the reason I like our service is because like there's more meaning behind it, and I feel like it's the most intimate like I am with God. Right. Because like I'm going there to meditate on his word. And like you just like it's not it's not an hour to like learn or like for you to preach, it's an hour to like tell every tell the body what's been on what God is teaching you. Right.
SPEAKER_04And then also like actually look at yourself for a little bit and self-reflect.
SPEAKER_01It's crazy how the Lord leads the service.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_01Like, I feel like it's very spirit-led.
SPEAKER_04That's really cool. Yeah, I like that a lot. Um, so going down that path, the the verse I was bringing up was first Corinthians 11. It's uh verses 27 through 30. It says, So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup without honoring, without honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God's judgment upon yourself. This is why many of you are sick and weak, and some of you have even died. And we just like, all right, guys, we're gonna take communion real quick. And we'll just go through these lines and take communion. It's like you're literally taking the Lord's judgment. Yeah. Like that's and I I don't know. That's something that when we were studying it, I was like, man, how often do we like have have churches just been like because as as a leadership, when you're doing that, you're just letting people take the Lord's.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. And they and they have no idea. No, because like I was yeah, I was about to say, like, when I first started like going, because we didn't always go to the Lord's Supper. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So like we'd when did he accept Christ?
SPEAKER_01He got saved in 2017. So that's cool. Then after he got saved, we like we don't miss really. We go like every because he he really loves the Lord's Supper. Like he's that that's like his favorite thing. But um, yeah, after that, we started going, but like I went with my nana one time and I like I tried to eat the bread, and she was like, No, no, like slap my hand. I was like, I was like, what? I was like, like whispering. I was like, I was like, what? She's like, you're not supposed to do that. And I was like, I was like, oh, and then she like explained to me after because like I don't know. I mean, I was saved at the time. I don't know why she didn't let me do it, but I guess I guess because she didn't she didn't know if I understood or not.
SPEAKER_04I would rather her do that than let you do it. Because I didn't I didn't know that's really responsible.
SPEAKER_01I didn't know the understanding or like the meaning of like what we were doing. So I appreciate that she did that. Yeah, because then after after that, like I I learned what it was.
SPEAKER_04That's really cool. Good on her. Yeah, that's great.
SPEAKER_01She's name, bro.
SPEAKER_04That's good. Yeah, I love it. I don't think we have enough. So I'm guessing she's super mature in her faith, like she understands the word well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, pretty good.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Pretty good. Pretty good. She beats you. Yeah. She said, Don't you do it. Um, you're gonna get married, you're gonna have kids. Yep. Stay in that church. Or I guess it'll depend on where you live.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was about to say, it it it depends. If I'm near Reedsville, I would love to stay at that church. But if not, I'm it's really just where the Lord wants us, because I would love to stay at that church.
SPEAKER_04Is the I guess what I'm asking is the the Lord's Supper something that like because everyone when they're going to look for a church, they have things that they want to want that church to look like. Yeah. Is that something that is gonna be I would I would think so. Top on your list, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Because I feel like that's like uh a need that I want in a church.
SPEAKER_06I agree.
SPEAKER_01Y'all just distracted the heck out of me. Yeah, same.
SPEAKER_03I can see you in the mirrors, and I was like, Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's in that closet right there.
SPEAKER_01It is cold in here. That's why I went and got this out. What's that thermostat say? 67, probably 69.
SPEAKER_04The only two. That's a clip. That's literally from from the time that I've lit my dad, mom and dad kept their house on 72 degrees, no matter the time of year, and it killed me. I might be they're gonna listen to this and be like, that didn't happen. That might I might be wrong on that. Whatever it was, I don't ever remember as a kid it going below 70. Yeah, so it might mom and dad. I don't really know for sure that I'm telling the truth here, but I think it, I don't think it ever went below 70. Because in my head, one of the first things I did when I moved out on my own was I just kept it on 69 just because it would be lower than 70.
SPEAKER_03That's why I was like, I know, like I'm cooler now.
unknownYou're trying to plant a little seed.
SPEAKER_03What seed am I planting?
SPEAKER_02Just throwing all around the house.
SPEAKER_03I think what are you talking about?
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_03Let's talk about the Lord's Supper. Um I know Tyler's ladies.
SPEAKER_04So you shared your testimony on the on the last the last podcast. Yeah, kinda. Uh is there anything you wanted to add to after listening to it that you're like, man, I want people to know a little bit more about my walk with the Lord?
SPEAKER_01I mean, I don't think I really shared my testimony. Okay. But um Do you want to? Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_04Go for it.
SPEAKER_01So basically, I was actually talking to mom about this earlier, but um I grew up in church my whole life. My mom was a Christian. Not she wasn't like crazy devoted at the time, but she was a Christian. She went to church. My dad was an unbeliever for the majority of my life. But um around I got saved when I was six at a Bible conference, and then from like six to twelve, I really didn't have a faith, I don't think. Like I kind of just like I believed in God, but I didn't I wasn't living the life, and I got into some things that I shouldn't have like when I was like 10 to 12, around that age. But um and really up to 15 to be honest. I honestly till till like 2023, I really didn't like devote my life to Christ. Okay. So like but all through those years, like I would go in and out of being like devoted and not devoted, like so. But it really a cool thing about my testimony is it's really a reason my dad got saved because he he looked up to me, he said, and that's why with the faith, yeah. That's why he he decided to change his life around because he actually went to the same Bible conference that I got saved at that year, and he got saved. That's cool. Because there's a there's a lady that prays for us every single day, like she's been praying for us for I don't even know how long. Her name's Miss Joyce, and she came up to him and was like, I've been praying for you for like eight years or something crazy like that. And he was it just like shocked him. I don't know exactly how he got saved. He probably told me a long time ago. Right. I haven't really talked to him about it too much, but it was like it was crazy. But around I think 15, like the beginning of 2023, I got out of a pretty bad relationship and I started like kind of focusing on myself, and then I got with Layla and she her relationship with Christ like really opened my eyes to how like like how the relationship with God works, right? Like you have to it can't be a one-way thing, right? So after we got together, like I really started like locking in with Christ and like and then camp happened. Like I've always gone to this camp called Mountaintop, which and like I get on that mountaintop high of like oh I love Jesus so much, right? But like that summer was different and with crossroads, like that whole summer I just like something changed in my head, and it just felt I felt like I was I had really had a relationship with Jesus and like I really loved him. Like you told me that, like like you really started to love Jesus, right? And since then, I mean like I've got my ups and downs for sure, but like since then I've been living for Christ.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so love it. What are you reading in the Bible right now?
SPEAKER_01Um, we just got done with Leviticus, me and Layla. Yeah, it was rough, it was rough. Um, and then we're reading Joshua with Mason.
SPEAKER_04Joshua. Yeah. How's that going?
SPEAKER_01It's pretty good. We're in the chapters where it's just a bunch of who owes land to who and a bunch of names.
SPEAKER_04Have you done what I told you to do?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Has that helped any?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Not with these chapters, because it's just like literally.
SPEAKER_04Right. Leviticus, it probably did it. Yeah, Leviticus helps. Um if you're reading the Old Testament and you get bored, one of the best ways to go about it is go on Chat GPT and say um explore break down uh Genesis 24 um as if I was a Hebrew reading this in Hebrew, and it'll break it down as it was supposed to be written, and you get to see some really cool um parts of scripture that as Westerners we wouldn't understand. So, for those of you listening, if you ever are struggling with the old testament, that always helps. But um, so social medias are what Shabai G20 and First Look Films. Okay, is there any other ones that you are planning on in the future going? Any avenues that you're planning on going? Not of not of right now, so no more podcast recordings or anything like that?
SPEAKER_01No, no, but definitely podcasts.
SPEAKER_04All right, well, glad we get you on. Yeah, had fun. Sorry it took so long. That's okay.
