June is Men's Health Month, and today we're talking about something that affects far too many men and families: the tendency to ignore symptoms, postpone doctor's appointments, and put everyone else's needs ahead of our own.

Our guest today knows that story firsthand.

Mike Marquez grew up in the west side neighborhood of Buena Vista, in the shadow of the Asarco stacks, in the community many people remember as Smeltertown. Like so many men of his generation, he was raised with values of hard work, resilience, and putting family first. Today, at 73 years old, Mike is a husband, a father of three daughters, and a colorectal cancer survivor.

Joining him are his brothers, Victor and Bobby, who shared those same childhood experiences and have stood beside him through one of the biggest challenges of his life.
