Taylor Taylor Taylor Show
Taylor’s got the charm of your funniest friend, the wisdom of someone who’s Googled it at 2 a.m., and the guts to spill the tea on her own life, embarrassing moments and all. Whether she’s interviewing intriguing guests, sharing industry secrets, promoting female rage, pop culture, or riffing on whatever’s trending, she’ll have you hooked faster than you can say “Taylor” (three times, obviously). It’s equal parts laugh therapy, real talk, and the kind of chaos you didn’t know you needed in your life.

Stimulating the Economy

Taylor is stimulating the economy the only way she knows how: by opening packages and asking questions no qualified professional should allow her to answer. In this short and deeply necessary episode, she investigates the disappearance of Sylvan Learning Centers, questions whether mattress stores are legitimate businesses, considers writing off a potential vandalism ticket as a marketing expense, and asks whether people with shellfish allergies can safely enter the ocean. Then, it’s time for a full PR unboxing featuring a custom LeBron James phone case, enough OctoBuddies to cover every available surface, and a handmade floral pipe named Purple Haze. It’s shopping, financial illiteracy, and notes-app nonsense. In other words, a normal Tuesday.

Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to the Taylor Taylor Taylor Show, the show where we say things three times until it makes sense. And today is a special edition of the Taylor Taylor Taylor Show. As I feel like I say every episode, it's a special edition, but today we're shopping. And by shopping, I mean you're gonna watch me open up a bunch of merch and VR that I was sent that I feel like would be valuable to you. There's also a couple things that I do want to talk about on this show today. These are things I wrote down on my notes app that I just felt like I really needed to get out there. What happened to Sylvan's Learning Center? Do you remember where Sylvan's Learning Centers were on every corner? Like I feel like you could not go anywhere without a Sylvan's Learning Center. And every like I never went to one because I'm smart. I wasn't a dumb kid. I didn't, I'm just kidding. Half the people watching this are like, I went to Sylvan's Learning Center. Um, don't know what happened to them. I tend to think everything nowadays is a drug front or a trafficking front. Um, think about mattress stores. Do you ever see anyone in a mattress store? No. Do you ever see someone in a Raymore and flannagan? When is the last time you saw someone walk into a Raymore and Flanagan? There is one right by my house. And if you sit on a patio at this restaurant nearby, you can see the cars in the parking lot. Always the same three cars. Haters will say, three cars. Yeah, it's probably the three people who work there. But why haven't they changed in the past like decade? Weird. So Sullivan's Learning Center, don't know where you're at, don't know what you're doing, but it's something that popped in my head the other day, and I thought, hmm, I wonder if you're trafficking children or drugs. Um, I think that stimulating the economy is an excuse to shop. So I think that's a great way for you guys to justify to your boyfriends and girlfriends why you're purchasing things recently. The economy's not doing great, I don't think. Question mark? I don't think so. Mortgage rates are 6.6%, I learned this morning. And the people on the television sounded really upset about that. So I feel like we should keep that in the back of our brain. But next time you want to shop, use the excuse that you care about America and you just want to stimulate the economy. So, for instance, if you want to stimulate the economy, you could subscribe to be a fan of this podcast and you could give like $5 every month, and you would be stimulating the economy and the growth of a young woman following her dreams. And I think that's beautiful. And if you don't, then that sounds like a you problem. But I'll put the link below if you want to be a monthly subscriber. Speaking of money, the other day I was trolling around town, I was gallivanting around Westchester, and I thought, hmm, can I get a ticket for putting up flyers? Probably not, right? Like you can't get a ticket for putting up flyers about your podcast. Can you get a ticket for vandalizing public property? Yes. If I get a ticket, hypothetically, for vandalizing, hypothetically, public property, can I write that off on taxes? Because if I pay it, say it's like a couple hundred dollar ticket, that was marketing, right? So can I pay that off on taxes? Like, can't or write it off? What the fuck even is a write-off? I don't even know what a write-off is. My accountant this year was like, I don't think you understand what a write-off is. And I said, How dare you dare you talk down to me? How dare you mansplain to me? And he said, What's a write-off? And I said, not things that I don't have to pay for. And he avidly corrected me. So if you need to know what a write-off is, don't ask me, go Google it. Uh, next thing on my list is if you're allergic to shellfish, okay? Bear with me here. Don't go anywhere. I was thinking about this the other night in bed because I don't fuck with the ocean. Like, I love the ocean. I love to watch, I like to sit on the beach, I like to watch like the shows where people dive underwater and all of that bullshit. I don't fuck with the ocean. I'm not gonna go swim, you know? I'm I read the original Little Mermaid. Like, I know what goes on down there. So I thought if you're allergic to shellfish, can you swim in the ocean? Like, can you scuba dive or do you automatically go into anaphylaxis? That's a question that plagues me. So, someone that has a shellfish allergy, it would be great if you would reach out to me and just give me your take on it. Can you scuba dive? Can you surf? Or do you automatically go into anaphlaxis? Last thing I want to talk about is, well, my new agency, they're out of Canada. We love the Canadians. Uh, contrary to popular belief, they don't look like they do in South Park. They're normal people. Um, yesterday I got an away message from uh one of my Canadian counterparts, and she it says, We're we're observing Civic Day. Civic day is a day in Canada, upon my further investigation, where people get a day off in the summer just to catch up, just to like relax, get in their vibes. That's wild. You get a just a person. It's basically like a personal day, like a civic day. Like get all your shit together, get all your stuff done. In America, we're always celebrating people or like things. I want there to be like a national. No, I can't say that. Whatever I was just going to say would have been interpreted so poorly. Uh, so I'm not gonna say that. Instead, let's go through it. I did take some of the packages off just because during editing, it's going to be a pain for me to scribble out my address on all of these. And I don't need a new stalker, you know? I mean, it makes me feel loved and wanted, but it's just not necessary. So, first comes from Kag Moni. Kag Money is a small Etsy shop who I she's a listener of the show, which is incredible. She messaged me on Etsy and said, I love the fact that you have a Michael Jordan phone case. I said, Thank you so much. I love the fact that I have a Michael Jordan phone case as well. She says, you know what would be better than a Michael Jordan phone case? I said, What? She said, You're from Philly. How about LeBron James? So this is my new LeBron James phone case. I have yet to put it on and yet to open it, actually. This is crazy. I'm gonna have to like zoom up and like show you guys, but like, isn't that insane? Insane and talented, and we love a woman in the arts. We love a woman in STEM. I think it's perfect. Can't wait to switch out my phone case. So that is my small business shout-out of this week. My big business shout-out of the week is Octobuddy. I didn't know that Octobuddy knew who I was. Um, I'm really glad that you guys do. Hi, hello, great to meet you. I'm Taylor. Um, haven't opened this yet either. A handwritten note. We love a handwritten note on this podcast. Uh, dear Taylor Breck, a little hello from us and the Octobuddy family. We hope you enjoy it. All the other hoopla that comes with it. Okay, cute, cute. Uh, a moment for the packaging. Cute. How many times can I say cute in this? I love unwrapping like a little bow. Okay, they did not skimp on the PR pack. Jesus Christ. Okay. We have stickers, Octobuddy stickers. I love a sticker. Okay. I'm getting all messy here. Let's see. Okay, so I'm never gonna have to buy another Octobuddy ever again, I don't think. There's every color hot pink, purple, blue, black. There's more pink in the bottom. These are it does match with the LeBron James case as well, let's say. Oh my gosh, and these are like legitimate Octobuddies. You know, like with the actual Octobuddy logo. If you're like me, you've probably been on Amazon buying the knockoffs, but these are the best ones. Okay. I feel blessed. Um, I feel happy. I love gifts. And then lastly, this box does have my address on it, so let's not. There's a handwritten note. I also love that it's a handwritten note and like paper that's torn. Like that is actually very adorable. Taylor, I hope you enjoy your new piece. Thanks for everything. Joelle from Moon Rule Moon Ray Resin. I know what this is, and I'm excited about it. Okay.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00I I okay, I'm gonna go explain. Unwrapping. So I've been talking a lot more on this podcast about things I love and enjoy, and uh paraphernalia is one of them. I I love anything that's like a little provocative. This is just adorable. How cute. I like that it says moon. Well, I'm struggling saying that moon ray resin. Um, if you don't know what this is, this is a pipe. People smoke tobacco out of it, and that's it. Um, this is a certi certificate of authenticity. Its name is Purple Haze, which is so adorable. Uh, preserved flowers, gold flake, amethyst, crystal chips, hand pipe 2026. This is like their birth certificate. Like every pipe that they make, it feels like this is their little birth certificate that comes with it. So cute. I'm a big fan. And uh I hope to collab with her more because I love handmade pieces. Oh, there's more in here as well. What is this? A note on the custom piece made with real preserved florals, meant to be obsessed over. So thank you, Moon Ray Resin. Thank you, OctoBuddy. Thank you, uh LeBron James woman. I'm like very, I'm very touched. All right, that is all for me today, little gremlins. A very short, sweet episode, just like me, short and sweet. Some may argue with that. Um, but I hope you have a great rest of your week. Have a um make sure that you listen, rate, subscribe, all of that fun stuff. And I'll see you next Tuesday.
