The space in between, the still point of becoming. Welcome back to the NoraBloom podcast, the NoraBloom Method. I'm Holly, and today we're talking about something subtle, something sacred, something most of us try to rush through. The space in between. The pause between what was and what is becoming. The breath between the inhale and the exhale. The moment after loss and before clarity. The still point in the center of movement. In somatic healing, we honor this place deeply because it's not empty, it's alive. We're conditioned to move forward quickly. When something ends, we ask, what next? When something breaks, we ask, how do I fix it? When something hurts, we ask, how do I move past this? But the body does not work that way. The body heals and cycles. There's activation, there's sensation, and then there's integration. And integration requires pause. And most women never have been taught how to stay in the pause without panic. The still point in the body. In body work and somatic healing, there's something we call still point. It can happen during cranial sacral therapy, during deep breath work, during intuitive touch, during yoga and savasana. It's the moment when the body stops trying, stops bracing, stops performing, and stops protecting. And for a few seconds or sometimes minutes, everything becomes quiet. Now at first it can feel very disorienting, but that stillness is not a shutdown. It's a recalibration. It is the nervous system reorganizing itself. It's the body saying, I am safe enough to reset. The space between identities. The space in between doesn't only happen on the table, it happens in life. Between careers, between relationships, between old identities and new callings, between who you were and who you're becoming. This is where many women find themselves right now. Not who they used to be, not fully who they're becoming, just suspended or spinning. And suspension feels uncomfortable because we're used to defining ourselves through doing. But the Norablin method teaches something different. You're not becoming through force. You are becoming through integration. You are becoming through integration. Skin as a mirror of transition. Your skin reflects the space in the in-between two, during hormone shifts, during grief, during stress, and even during growth. You may notice changes in texture of your skin, new sensitivities, dryness, sudden breakouts, or even an overall dullness. This does not mean you're regressing. What it means is your body is processing. The skin is often the last place integration becomes visible. So instead of reacting aggressively, we should listen, soften, and support, because healing is never linear. It spirals. The nervous system and pause. The nervous system has two primary states that most women do recognize. We've heard it a million times: fight or flight, shutdown or collapse. But there's a third state, a regulated presence. Regulated presence requires stillness, not distraction, not scrolling, and not productivity. Stillness. And in that space of quiet, your breath deepens, your muscles soften, your blood flow improves, inflammation decreases, and your hormones will stabilize. And guess what? Your radiance returns. The glow so many women chase is not from a bottle. It often lives inside the pause that they avoid. I'll say it again. The glow that you're chasing is not in a bottle. It often lives in the pause that you are avoiding. The fear of the in-between. Why is this space so frightening? One, we're losing control. It can really feel like a loss of control. When we can't define what is happening, we feel unsafe. But the body doesn't need certainty to heal. It needs safety. And safety comes from gentle touch, slow breathing, grounded presence, and being witnessed without urgency. This is why Nora Bloom Holistic Facials body work and somatic practices are very powerful. They create a container for the in-between. They say you don't have to rush through this. A guided still point. If you're able, pause with me for a moment, sit comfortably, and let your spine lengthen softly. And close your eyes. Take a slow inhale through your nose and pause at the top of the breath. Notice that space. Not forcing it, not extending it, just noticing. Then exhale slowly. At the bottom of the exhale, pause again. That space between the effort and release, that still point. Your body knows this rhythm. Healing happens here, not in force, not in fixing, in allowing. Becoming without hurry. The Nora Bloom method is rooted in this philosophy. We do not rush transformation. We create conditions for integration. Whether through skincare rituals at home, a holistic facial in the treatment room, or movement practices that reconnect sensation, or simply learning to sit with your own breath. The work is the same. Return, soften, integrate. You do not have to leap into your next identity. You're allowed to stand in the doorway. You're allowed to rest between chapters. You're allowed just not to have any clarity yet at all. The space in the in-between is not wasted time. This is all sacred reorganization. Sacred reorganization. Trusting the becoming. If you find yourself in a season of pause between what was and will be, just trust it. The still point is not stagnation. It's its intelligence. Your body is recalibrating, your spirit is integrating, your nervous system is reorganizing. And from this quiet place, something steady will rise. Thank you for being here. In this episode, if this episode resonated, share it with someone who may be in their own in between season. And if you're longing for support in your healing through somatic touch, holistic skin care, or a gentle ritual, Nora Bloom is here for you. Until next time, honor the pause, trust the stillness, and remember you're not lost. You're simply becoming.
