In this episode, Pastors Luke Evans and Devon Patton talk about worship, what it means to worship God beyond just music, and how worship can shape our relationship with Him in everyday life.

SPEAKER_03

Hello, good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Welcome to the New Life Podcast. My name is Pastor Devin. This is Pastor Luke. And we and Mateo is here as well. And Spencer. Not on camera, but also here and in our hearts. Um forever.

SPEAKER_02

Forever.

SPEAKER_03

But we're glad that you're joining us today. Welcome back for another podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we're so glad that you're here. We hope that you enjoyed last week. If you I saw I talked to a few people, uh again, new people come up to me every service. Wednesday, another gentleman came up to me. It was Danny Pedraz's brother-in-law. Said his wife came up to me and said, He's too embarrassed to say it, but he really loves the podcast. And he was like, he's like, I do. He's like, I listen to it. I said, So you listen or watch? And he said, I listen. I said, eh, this week you better, you better watch. He's got a lot of visuals. So we hope that you enjoyed Critter Caravan. Yeah. It's as much as we did. You probably didn't enjoy it as much.

SPEAKER_03

The other thing, too, is I just get random people like out and about who were like, oh, you're from that podcast. Or I saw a clip of you on TikTok. Like, that's the funniest one. It's like I saw a clip of you on Instagram or TikTok, and I'm like, hi, I've never met you. We're big on TikTok. Real. And then we played some basketball. And that was one of the comments from one of the kids. Like, there were some like younger guys who like I taught or coached, and then they were back playing basketball with us the other day. And it was it was hilarious because they were like, Oh, I keep seeing clips of you on my Instagram of you and you and Coach Luke on a podcast.

SPEAKER_02

It was like infiltrating young minds.

SPEAKER_03

We're influencers now, dude. That's true. We are. We should start a TikTok shop. I don't know what that is. I mentioned that the other day. Was that to you guys? I don't think so. Oh, no.

SPEAKER_02

You should recommend things on the pod and then put them on our TikTok shop.

SPEAKER_03

That's what that is. Because that's what I said, and I like mentioned that. I was like, yeah, like a TikTok shop, and everybody was like, yeah. And I was like, I don't know why I said that. I can't follow up with anything.

SPEAKER_02

My wife's my wife gets about 18 packages a week from the TikTok shop. So I know all about it.

SPEAKER_03

They said it, the people I saw now, they said it was like Timu. Yeah, it's just drop shipping.

SPEAKER_02

But it's yeah, it's that's the why people make so much money on TikTok and why it's so easy, is because literally you're just watching a video and it'll be like buy it, and you just click it and it's like done.

SPEAKER_03

It's like Amazon Prime or I saw a thing the other day, like if you want to be really successful on TikTok, you have to post like seven to ten videos a day or something like that.

SPEAKER_02

You also can't that's crazy. You also can't make money until you have ten thousand followers, and then the videos that you post like to make to make money on the views, they have to be over a minute long. So my so my wife, get this. My wife, because you know, she's got a hundred and forty thousand followers on Instagram or whatever. Humble brag.

SPEAKER_03

Um I have like a thousand.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So nice, dude. She uh she was like, Oh, I'm gonna start a TikTok, you know. So she started TikTok, she built it up, it has like 14,000 followers now or whatever. So she was like, I'm gonna start posting content. She posted a video and it went totally viral, right? It was has like 2.4 million views or something like that. It's only 25 seconds. If it's millionaires, dude, if it was a minute long, she'd have made like $11,000.

unknown

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_02

It's crazy. Uh yeah. So needless to say, she slept on in the garage for a week after that.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe uh, okay. Maybe we should start making yeah, really long videos and just throw it.

SPEAKER_00

There's these TikTok accounts that I probably make rich because they just post like TV clips and they're obviously like a minute long, and I'm just watching like a full season of a show on TikTok.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, that's like that guy genius. How many of you watch? He's like 900. Like, I gotta get through this one episode.

SPEAKER_02

Spencer, we're gonna need you to get our TikTok up to 10K and then just post minute-long clips of the podcast. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

The whole podcast. The whole podcast in one minute clips. Dude, but like everything is the click clip hanger. 45 one-minute clip. A cliffhanger? A click hanger, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Did you just invent something by adding a TikTok? That's awesome. That's cool. All right. Well, today, before we get into what we're gonna get into, did you have a fun fact? I do. We heard that you didn't, so I found one.

SPEAKER_03

All right. Well, so yesterday, so now this is a couple weeks later, but Sai, we got him a my my mom bought him a fish. Oh, wondering who got him the fish. Yeah, so my mom for his birthday got him a fish tank. That was like what he wanted for his fourth birthday, and so we were like, all right, we'll get you the fish tank, we'll do the whole deal. And so she got him the fish tank, and then it was like a couple weeks later, and so we're like, all right, we'll go get him a fish. And so he wanted one of those gold fish with like the puffy.

SPEAKER_02

So you made him stare at an empty fish tank for a couple weeks?

SPEAKER_03

He actually, it was like the greatest toy ever. He would like take different toys and put them in there and make it like uh like environment. Yeah, like so it had all the stuff and he would like put it for snakes and animals and stuff. Okay. Alright, go ahead. And so he we got him a fish, and well, my mom got him a fish, and so he wanted the goldfish with like the puffy eyes. Have you guys seen those before? Yeah, those are cool. And then, but for some reason they didn't have it or whatever, and so we she got him a beta fish because like they're the easiest to beta gal. What does that mean? Remember?

SPEAKER_00

I'm an alpha gal. Or I'm not, but who said that? You did. Oh dude, that's hilarious, dude. That is funny.

SPEAKER_03

So, whatever. So we got him a beta fish, and it's red, and so for those of you who remembered on this podcast I mentioned before, he's the worst at naming things, and so his it's a red beta fish.

SPEAKER_02

I would argue that he's the best.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's just very practical. Yeah, his name is Red Z, the beta fish. He calls it like he sees it. Yeah, he's like, hey, Red Z. I thought he said Reggie at first, and I was like, that's a hilarious name. I was like Reggie for the beta, and he was like, No, daddy, it's Red Z. I was like, okay. And so we got him all set up last night. He was we fed him his food, and and he loves them. So he woke up this morning first thing, and he's like right in the fish's face about the the beta fish. I love that. But I got some things about beta fish. One, so like you know you can't put them with another fish because they'll fight. Yeah, which I didn't to the death. Yeah, like to the death, and one of them will kill the other, yeah, which is crazy. So, but they'll literally like flare up and fight their own reflection if they can see it because they think it's another another fish. Um, and then I again thought this was kind of ridiculous, but they had told us this too is beta fish can breathe air from the surface. Like they can go up and breathe a little bit of air and then come back down. I don't know how they know that, but that's why there's bubbles in there sometimes, like and they use bubbles to make nests, yeah. Which is kind of wild. So I just that was my uh Oh, and Cy who's super excited because he got him a little hammock that floats in the water, and because beta fish like to go up and like lay in a hammock, yeah. That's cool. That's super good. We're gonna need a we're gonna need a picture of the hammock.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's really like when he lays in it. I'm gonna need to see it.

SPEAKER_03

I need to see it too. He's yet to go in it, but that's what it said on here too. It was like, no, that they'll make leaves or they'll they'll do something and go and lay on the little hammock and just relax. That's crazy. Redzi, he's a cool guy.

SPEAKER_02

Where are beta fish found? They're freshwater or saltwater? That's freshwater, brother. But have you ever like I've never seen one in the wild.

SPEAKER_03

No, because they're all killing each other. Yeah, that's probably true. There's just one. All I know is they're dirt cheap, and there's about 50 of them there. So at the at the pet store. Where are they from? Southeast Asia. Freshwater.

SPEAKER_02

Freshwater, Southeast Asia. Yeah. So when they fight, whoever wins is the alpha beta. Yep. Nice.

SPEAKER_03

Look at that.

SPEAKER_00

New name.

SPEAKER_03

All right, that was my fun fact. Sorry, it wasn't that super super fun. No, but everybody know about Redzi. So Redzi Psy. Go up and ask him, how's Red Zee doing? He'll be able to fill you in. He will fill you in too.

SPEAKER_02

Immediately. Yeah. Yep. Love that for him. Uh my fun fact is not that interesting either. Well, I thought it was interesting because we talked a few weeks ago about um your sleep patterns and like you waking up, like I talk in my sleep, stuff like that. Did you know that there is a sleep disorder called exploding head syndrome?

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh, that's mind-blowing.

SPEAKER_02

I love that. Exploding head syndrome. You wake up to the sound of a gunshot or an explosion-like sound in your sleep.

SPEAKER_03

Every time I sleep at the gun range, I just get this exploding. It's so weird.

SPEAKER_02

Like I've woken up to the feeling of falling, yeah, which I think a lot of people do. But I'd be interested to know if anyone's ever woken up to uh a gun gunshot.

SPEAKER_03

Exploding what is it?

SPEAKER_02

Exploding head syndrome? Exploding head syndrome. That's gunshot or explosion-like sounds in the middle of your sleep. No, never that. I'm gonna need to know if somebody listening has ever had that happen.

SPEAKER_03

And I don't mean a real gunshot. No, that's strange. Because, yeah, what's is that like because of PTSD or something? Like, I don't know. Maybe if there's anybody who has that. Okay. Maybe I just triggered somebody. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Exploding.

SPEAKER_03

No pun intended.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

There we go. Trigger. We're sensor counting it right now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're we're all over the punch. Just severe fatigue, high stress, anxiety.

SPEAKER_02

There we go.

SPEAKER_00

Just in the middle of your sleep.

SPEAKER_02

Just pop, pop, pop. Like that's crazy, dude.

SPEAKER_03

Living in a tough neighborhood, you might be waking up with that in a background. Desk pop in the middle of the night. Yeah, desk pop.

SPEAKER_01

What was that? Gunshot.

SPEAKER_02

What's your fun fact over there?

SPEAKER_00

We know you always bring it, bring the heat in the end. Bring it. Um, no, this one was just interesting, and I'd like you guys to guess. On average, how many times do you think a person blinks a day?

SPEAKER_02

I know this because I looked it up before I saw it earlier, so go ahead. You can guess. Um, at times a day. I the fun fact I saw was how many times you blink a minute, so never mind. So yeah, do the math guess. Nah. 20,000.

SPEAKER_03

I'd say 60,000. He was closer. 28,000 800. We could do the math to see what's closer, but we sure about that. That's so dumb. 28,000. Yeah, you're wrong. You're like minutes in a day. I thought you said we I thought you said he's like, oh yeah, watch. I thought you said three days span. That's why I guess 68,000. No, you didn't. I was blinking. I did the head.

SPEAKER_00

I did the math in my head. Yeah, 28,000. Dang. I don't think I've blinked at all today.

SPEAKER_03

We need to blink what to keep our eyes moist. I think so. For those of you who don't know, get the dust out. Protect it. Dude, when we went on that fanboat thing, they were giving us all the facts about the alligators, you know? How they could blink like two different ways. Yeah. Like they have the double, so like they could close their eyes normally, but then they could put up like they go sideways. The barrier. And it's like goggles. Yeah. That's wild, dude. That's I think all reptiles can do that, can't they? I feel like there's another like birds or like ducks or something can do that.

SPEAKER_02

Also, since Hugs was here last week, I think my phone heard me shouting or talking about snakes, and now on my for you page on Instagram, it's like all these snake videos. I watched this guy. I watched this guy, no, it was a different guy. Heink. He wrangled a snake out a rattle, a rattler out of this lady's backyard. Dude, that this thing was a behemoth. And like he rattlers are uh they're poisonous, right? Yes. He got under the under the porch or whatever, and it was, you know, it curls up in that like rattler phase where like the head is like this, and it started hissing at him, and it puffed its uh like it like puffed itself out to look bigger, and so like its midsection just went like that. It was gnarly, dude. Yeah, he he had you know, he had the clamps and stuff. Would you want him to go in there with his bare hand? I mean, if you're really a snake wrangler. Nah. There's also that guy that jumps on those big ones in the Everglades. Have you seen that guy? Did you send me him? That like they go with the fanboat and he's like, I see one right there, and he like jumps off the top of the fan. It's hilarious. What is it? Anaconda's or pythons? It's anacondas, right? They're like evasive in the Everglades. One of them, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So they gotta go. They do the hunts and stuff. Yeah, they gotta go. They're making the documentary or a movie on it, I think. Yeah, it's called Anaconda. No, you're being silly. Um it's like a week. A week in in Florida every summer they go, and so they're doing like a real life movie based on it where the people go. Because the people who come out to do it, because they pay you a certain amount of money to go and kill them, so people go crazy. And you know people in Florida. No offense if you're not. No offense if you live in Florida, but there's some wild people down there.

SPEAKER_02

All you gotta do is Google Florida Man and your birthday, and you'll get a crazy news story. Yeah. It literally works for everyone. Florida. Why are you looking at me like that? Have you ever done that? No. Do it right now. So Google Florida Man and then whatever your birthday is.

SPEAKER_00

Like the year two.

SPEAKER_02

Sure. And then hit news on no, hit news on Google. Florida Man accused of grandfather's murder.

SPEAKER_00

Pulls out severed ears during question time.

SPEAKER_04

So it's every single time, dude. It doesn't matter what date. Dude, Florida Man is you want some entertainment.

SPEAKER_02

Just Google Florida Man and your birthday. Google, I just said look at Mateo's like in awe right now. Dude, they're like, I can't believe that just worked.

SPEAKER_03

That's like uh you could Google like Walmart, like the same type of thing. It's like Walmart crimes or something like that, and a date, and it'll give you like something. Like woman steals 400 diapers from you could go see it live.

SPEAKER_02

Just go to that Walmart in Stratford that I was at, dude. Yeah, good night. I had a lady in church come up to me the other day, and she was I can't remember. Did I say another podcast or in a sermon? I can't remember. No, it was a podcast. And she came up to me and she was like, Oh, just so you know, my son's a Stratford police officer every day. That Walmart. She's like, every day. I was like, Yeah, I Stratford police officer, God bless him. Yeah, for real. Prayers up, dude. Prayers up for sure. Really any police officer in anywhere around here in Connecticut. Trumbull's gotta be alright. Trumbull can't be that bad, but like Bridgeport, Stratford, Norwalk, New Haven, East Haven, West Haven, like Waterbury. Officer Dave.

SPEAKER_03

He sends me like updates, and I'm like, you definitely shouldn't be talking about this.

SPEAKER_02

Big prayers. Big big big prayers up for all our police, all our policemen and women out there protecting our streets. Yeah, what are we talking about? What's our topic today? We're gonna talk about worship today.

SPEAKER_03

Because we've talked a little bit about it here and there and in different like different avenues, right?

SPEAKER_02

Of like how we live and how we worship God with the way that we live. But I I we when we when Mateo sent us his producer notes trying to plan ahead, one of the ones on there was worship and like why we do it, what it means, how powerful it is. And I'm and I I want to talk specify obviously, we can worship in tons of different ways, you know, the way we live, the way we act, we worship God with that, the way we go about our work week or something like that, the way we parent, the way we love our spouse. That's all worship to God, the way we give, the way we serve. But I want to talk specifically about music, about singing, about church. I think that our church, I know my dad said it multiple times, and we notice it because we're down the front. We have like a a very like what I would consider to be worshipful church. Like when a lead singer cuts out, or when Jason or Annette or you or whoever kind of backs off the mic, you can hear the people singing. Like you can hear it up there sometimes, probably.

SPEAKER_03

That's one of my favorite things to do, because we obviously have the in-ears, but then to take them out. Yeah, and it's like you can hear everybody singing, it's really, really cool. Like when we were at YouthCon, that was like the coolest thing because we went and like it's all these teenagers, and obviously you guys were there, but it's like they're belting it out, singing, like praising and worshiping, and you just like take out the thing and hear everybody singing, and it's like, oh, this is amazing.

SPEAKER_02

It's like a fraction of what heaven will feel like, but yeah, it's like well that's that's kind of the thing, right? Is like we we already know that in heaven, like we're gonna be worshiping him like day and night, like he's yeah, you know, already has angels there doing it, you know.

SPEAKER_03

So that's my that's like a question that was always like debated, right? Is like, is that what it's gonna be? Is we're just like worshiping, or is like we're gonna have jobs. Because life is perfect, is everything we're doing an active worship then?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think I think that will all have different different assignments and like things to do, and I think in that it will be it's very cool.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, me and your dad had a great conversation about that going up to a game about like heaven and jobs and worship and stuff. Um yeah, I don't remember.

SPEAKER_03

Do you ever have that conversation with my dad where you're like talking like super like deep like spiritual stuff, and then he'll just stop and he'd be like, What if this is all fake? And you're like, What are you doing? And he's like messing around, he's like just like thought provoking, but he's like, What if this is all just fake? And you're like, Dad, what are you talking about? He did that a couple times. I think he did it to Annette once, too. I think Annette told me that he like said it one day. She was like, What? I'm like, Oh, he does it all too.

SPEAKER_02

When I was little all the time, uh like we'd be I'd be talking about something with my parents, and I'd be like, Man, if the Catholics are right and we could have done whatever we wanted and just gone to confession every week, I'm gonna be really upset. That's crazy. Uh but it's the the idea of worship and the idea of you know, a lot of people, some I there and I say we have a really worshipful church, but obviously there are still some people that don't sing, they're not comfortable yet, or maybe you're listening to this and you're like, you know, it's still new to you, or or something like that. And so the whole idea of just the direction that I'm maybe wanted to head today is just the idea of why we worship and the importance of it. You know, in Psalm, in Psalm 22, uh in verse 3, it says in the the ESV, it says, Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. The the the King James Version says that you are that you inhabit the praises of your people, which is what we talk about a lot on Sundays when we get up and pray pray, is that like when we praise, when we worship, that God literally is enthroned in those praises, almost like He He's in the room, like seated on those praises. Like it lifts him up, it glorifies him, and because of that, now God's in the room with us, and this is why we see incredible things happen, and why we see it's why people feel the way they feel sometimes. You know, we'll look out and there's people weeping, there's people smiling, there's people with their hands raised, there's people because all of a sudden your worship it it brings brings God in into the room, you know.

SPEAKER_03

And that's like one of the debates, right? Of like being a worship leader or picking songs for worship, is like because there's a lot of great Christian songs like that are glorifying, but some of them, like we've talked about it, or Mateo has to decide when he's making a set list, like, is this gonna be is this song glorifying God? Or and that's the whole goal of talking about who God is and praising him and worshiping, or is it this idea of like, well, look what I've done, like look what I can do, everything that I need to be, and it's kind of more us-focused, which at some points that's fine, right? Because there's reflection and there's time for us to think. But like you're saying, is like, what why do we do it? Like you've said from the pulpit, like, Oh, I don't like these songs. Well, they're not for you. Like, it's like, okay, like these are the things that we talk about and the things that we do, and it's like that's the focus has to be on it, has to be to glorify God. Like these uh, we were talking with our students at 632 now a couple weeks ago, but we were reading a psalm, and it's like it's just glorifying God, like everything it's talking about is just how awesome God is. Everything that David is saying is just like, look what he's done, look what he can do, look at how he's provided for us, and provided for at that time the nation of Israel, and he's he's gone into battle before us. And it's like, yeah, we're just worshiping him. We're just David just there, and he's just talking about who God is, and and so that's why I love Leland so much. Yeah, but it's like shout out again. Leland, obviously. But it's true, it's like the songs that he writes and produces, they're just talking about how much he loves Jesus.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you can also see too when he leads. I think you can easily tell sometimes when worship leaders are more performative or they're like truly worshipful. Yeah, and I think Leland is one of those people that when and there's others, but obviously we've talked about him a lot, and so like when he leads, you can see, man, this guy loves Jesus so much. Like he's having so much fun doing this, and he he truly takes it as a calling to lead people in. Because that's what, right? So, you know, if you're if you're to go back and you're to research like where worship began or what it started or what it meant, right? You can go all the way back to the old testament and what like the the band went before the armies of the Lord, right? Like they they paved the way, they they got the battle prepared and ready. Worship prepares us for that. We see David, like you're talking about in Psalms, encouraging himself in the Lord. That when he's down in the dumps, all of a sudden he writes a whole psalm about how awesome God is to uplift him out of that. Like there's all these different things that worship can. Do and when you see someone leading people into that presence, understanding the weight of that and how important it is to like, man, this isn't about me, it's about bringing people into the presence of God and and bringing God also into the room, like you know, I I think it's it's palatable, noticeable when when somebody really has that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and when we left YouthConnor, like we'll do it all the time, we'll be we'll do some type of event or we'll do a Sunday morning worship. And Mateo always asks the question is like, how can you not have fun doing this? Like, how could people be like especially musicians where they're like, oh man, this is boring, like I'd rather play something else. It's like this is the best, like this is great, this is so much fun. Like, and that's again when you're going again entering into worship, but that's why it's super important. You guys talk about it on Sunday mornings. It's like, well, we need the first song to warm up. Like, we need to, it's like you should have been there, should have been days of you preparing your heart to get into a Sunday morning before like you're entering the presence of the Lord. This is your opportunity to get in with a bunch of other Christians, like you said, where God Himself and His Holy Spirit is filling the room. Like, all right, then on Wednesday or on yeah, Thursday morning after a great Wednesday night. Like, I'm already preparing my heart and my mind for Sunday morning. I'm already getting ready. I'm in my car, I'm in my secret place, I'm doing those different things to prepare my heart for worship because again, who it's for, it's not for me. I'm not here to just wake up. Oh, maybe this song will wake me up, or maybe it'll make me feel something emotional and I'll feel good for the next day or two. No, no, no. It's to worship, it's to give him all the praise, all the glory, to thank him and glorify him for everything that he's done for us. We got there to church, that's enough. We have salvation and opportunity to praise him. That's more than enough. Like it's and we're glad.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, obviously, if you come to New Life or wherever you go to church, wherever you're listening from, like I we're I'm glad that at New Life we can uplift people and help them on a Wednesday night or a Sunday morning, like enter into worship. But I think spiritual maturity, like we've talked about so many times before, spiritual maturity comes from what you're talking about of like, man, I can't I can't just rely on New Life to lead me into worship. I gotta figure out how to lead myself into worship. And like me and you obviously have a different background than a lot of people of like obviously we both grew up in church, but I think we both really like worship music. So I think you know, in my car on my own, like I am singing at the top of my lungs, like we have it.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I'm really just listening to Christian music, we're not and I don't listen to worship music, I watch it on YouTube because that's the best, that's the best thing to do. It's the best because Mateo. I have a new song that I want to show Mateo, and I'm like, oh, we could do this one in church or something like that, and he'll be like, okay, just like he'll look it up on his computer and it'll be like on iTunes, and I'm like, No, it's like no no YouTube. No, no YouTube, let's watch it. You gotta see it. Dude, I have one that I want to watch afterwards, actually. We'll do that. We'll do that. We gotta watch another one. Yeah, it's it's the best. Worship is it truly is. It's amazing when that's your mindset. When if you if it comes in and it's you're if you come in and you're thinking, Oh, how could this bless me? There's gonna be times where yeah, you're either upset with the song choice, you're bored, you're whatever it is, you don't like it, it's not the same. It's like gotta get over yourself a little bit. Sorry, I know that sounds aggressive. No, but it's like No, you're right.

SPEAKER_00

There's um there's a a worship leader that I I won't name just because whatever, just controversy and stuff. But he had he had shared a story at one point about before he was a bigger worship leader, he um was a part of a very, very, very small church where he was the only guy playing piano and singing. And there were only two people in the congregation. He was like, uh he was telling the interviewer, I don't know, you know, how God's gonna move here, I don't know how this is gonna work. I mean, I'm kind of just choosing songs and whatever, whatever. And then, you know, they get into a worship service, and he was like, That's the most pure form of worship I've ever been a part of. Like just me, God, and two people in the congregation, and it's just it shows the heart of, you know, you don't need you know, like here, like at New Life, we've come a long way, musician-wise, singer-wise, band-wise, whatever, but I think there's such an atmosphere now of worship in our church and in our culture, and like the church, the big C church culture where um you know, I talk about it when whenever I open in youth where the lyrics are a guideline, or it's like an avenue where you can this is something to remind you, hey, you know, God is good, or God, I build my life on your firm foundation, whatever the the song lyric is. It's you're talking about the the song and the lyrics isn't just you know something that you're singing to just sing. It's either a reminder to yourself of God's goodness, it's a reminder to yourself of what God's done, it's a reminder of what God can do, who he is, and it's just I think we lose that sometimes with the uh nuances and logistics of worship where oh, this is a new song, I gotta just sit here and learn the melody or learn the lyrics, or there's a song that we've done a million times before, and like I know this song. Like, it's like how we talked about last week losing the wonder of a situation or a circumstance. It's like, no, like God is good, and sorry if we sing the song a lot, but it's you need a reminder, it's still true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So, like, if that's your attitude, and I've had that attitude before in like a worship service, like whether I was a student and youth convention or whatever. I'm like, man, like these guys are not great, or this song is not my favorite, or whatever. It's like, man, like I gotta humble myself and be like it's just worship.

SPEAKER_03

The other cool part about our church is like we will always from a pulpit standpoint, as far as like preaching, whether it's you or your dad, like you could always come to our church and say, Whatever we're going to teach you is gonna be biblically sound, but at the same time, we're gonna beat you up at certain points, but it's for again the glory of God, but also to encourage you and and uplift you. It's it's because we we believe that you should be this again, this better version of yourself, and we want to get you there, right? Or whatever it is. Um, but it's the same in worship, whether it's Pastor Jason or Mateos leading and and developing these sets and these different things, or if we're leading songs, like it's always gonna come from that same heart and that attitude of it's never gonna be like you're gonna you're not getting up to speak because it's some performance and you like people to hear your voice. It's like that's not it's never the it's never going to be that way at our church as well when it comes to worship because we've been to churches before, us. We've grown up, we've been in church, we've been to youth conventions, we've been to summer camps, we've been to different things. And it's very, very clear and very different when it is just this performance that people are trying to put on. And it's well, we just want to make this sound cool or sound great, or we gotta be push the envelope as much as possible and and change up this. And it's like, no, let's bring things back to like and we've been in places where the worship is really again, the people are not taking the time and the effort to put in to develop their and their worship has been the same for years and years and years. And so just from somebody who has been on the outside looking in and then now involved in it, it's like it really is a like Pastor Jason has a great heart of worship. He he wants to lead people in worship. Um Annette, Mateo, the people who lead us week after week. It's like it's again to usher in the presence of God, and it's really, really cool. And it's tangible, you can tell. That's why people want to come back. That's why people enjoy the worship. That's because again, it's that it's that idea of who is this for? Everything that we're doing, whether we're enjoying it and consuming it, or whether we're leading it and producing it ourselves. It's it's all for the glory of God.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and that's funny that you mentioned that story of that worship leader because I I think back in my own life and like I've I've been, as have you, like I've been I've been in huge churches, I've been in small churches, I've been to, you know, I've seen Hillsong United at Madison Square Garden, I've seen Elevation Worship, like I've been I've been to some cool worship experiences. I I've been, you know, at Summer Camp or Youth Committee, like I've I've worshipped a lot of different places, but one of the moments that I can remember in my mind that was one of the most meaningful, how you're talking about like that when all of a sudden when it's stripped back in the and it's not performative, it's just kind of raw and organic. Of like me and my sweet mate and one of my really good friends in college, we were just in my room one night, and and my buddy Jared was playing guitar, and me and my buddy Tyler were there, and like we all kind of grew up in church, and so he just started playing guitar, and we were just like goofing off, just like singing like you know, some song that we grew up with or whatever, and then all of a sudden it was like I want to say it was like three hours later, and we're just like singing like every worship song that we can, you know, like just in a dorm room, and like those are moments where like it's like meaningful, like you they're like core memories of like you think back on those moments and you're like, man, like how how good God is and using worship in difficult times and in hard times. You know, I talk all that people know if they've come to meet with me, and you guys know, like whenever I meet with someone and they're like, I'm going through, I'm really depressed, I'm really anxious, I can't sleep at night, or I'm having nightmares, or this, that. I'm like, hey, go put on uh of dirt and grace live from the holy land by Hillsong United. Your Pastor Mark. If you meet with my dad, he's gonna tell you to listen to Carter Khan.

SPEAKER_03

If you meet with I mean it is and it's not like it's the worship, but it's it's the Holy Spirit moves through it for sure. It's that anointing, right?

SPEAKER_02

It is like it's awesome. It if you can learn how to worship even when you're by yourself or in a small group or you're going through a hard time, you're going through a difficulty, or you have something big coming up, like I said earlier, you know, we see the the you know the the band going before the armies of the Lord. Like if you're you got a big meeting coming up, you gotta have a difficult conversation with somebody, you're nervous about something, listen to worship on on your way to that, and and just allow it, allow the words and the lyrics of it to to literally speak to you because it doesn't replace God's word, obviously, but when when you combine it with it, right? It's like the secret sauce of like, man, if I'm in my secret place every day and I'm reading God's word and I'm praying, I'm doing those two things, which cannot be supplemented by anything else. You have to do those two things. But if I can add worship into the mix, yeah, it's just like, man, I'm putting all these things together. Like I'm whipping up something real good here, you know?

SPEAKER_03

That's great. Yeah, I think the thing that like I always remember or like try to think of when I'm like when I first again rededicated my life to Christ and then continued on, and when I'd be dealing with stress or anxiety about different things, there was a song by Hillsong called uh Touch of Heaven. Uh I think that's the name of it, right? That's one of my so yeah, the one by Aiden. I like that one. Um, but Aiden's. And I used to I used to put it on and I'd like drive in my car, like I was stressed about something or dealing with something, and I would put it on. And I remember one night I thought of it as like this is great that like I'm dealing with my stress now, and like this song helps me through it. But I was like, the thing that like the Holy Spirit reminded me of is like the worship is not like an emergency exit for like when things are happening and there's an a there's a problem and there's a fire and you gotta get out. It's like it like you said, it's it goes before the battle. It's not it doesn't come afterwards when oh everything's happening. Hey, get those trumpets going again. It's like it doesn't work like that. It's it's not this emergency exit when we try to to to get out of a situation, it's what we build our lives on, it's what we are trying to continue every single day is glorifying God and worshiping Him, but it's got to be the preparation, and that's why I'll just harp on that before you even get to Sunday. You're preparing for the world.

SPEAKER_02

Which exactly I was just about to say it goes hand in hand with what you were just saying about you know people waiting, you know, not not raising their hands or not worshiping or not singing until the you know middle of the second song or the third song, yeah. Uh because all week long they've been trying to do it in their own strength and all week long they haven't been worshiping, waiting for Sunday to uplift them. And it's like, dude, if you if you could learn how to do that every day of the week and learn how to do it on on your way to church, you you should be listening. Like peep I have a weird routine before I I preach on a Sunday. I wake up early and I drink pre-workout and I go in my garage and I stretch and I I listen to worship music like before I go preach and like I get myself like pumped up essentially physically and spiritually to go do because it's a spiritual battle that that is ahead of me. 100%.

SPEAKER_03

So that's a whole other topic. I would I would love to talk about that at some point. Like your pregame routine? No, no, no. Like that, like people think like you're just getting up and talking. Like no, it's like it's a TED talk or something like that. It's a TED talk, or it's like it's public speaking, like the spiritual warfare that you have to go and fight before a congregation of people, which is crazy to think about.

SPEAKER_02

Like, again, this is a deeper conversation, like of like a different of what everyone, everyone is everyone has a different battle going on. Exactly spiritual.

SPEAKER_03

You're responsible for preparing the and presenting the word of God to them. Like, that's why like you get down after three services on a Sunday and you're gassed, and it's like you're like, Well, you're just up there talking. It's like you don't understand. That's the that's a total like a weight of of what you're talking about. Yeah, the weight of it. That's the perfect word for it. It's the it's the weight of it, it's the weight of the responsibility, like we talk with Pastor Mark.

SPEAKER_02

And I think that that I I truly believe, which is why we're obviously talking about what we're talking about. I truly believe that worshiping throughout the week, yes, being in God's word, yes, prayer, don't please don't misunderstand what we're talking about today. Again, this is not like supplemental, like, oh, I don't have to pray or read my Bible as long as I just sing happy songs, I'll be okay. That's not how it works. But supplementing everything else with throwing worship into the mix all week long, I'm worshiping all week long. I'm I'm reminding myself of the goodness of God through his word, but also through song, through praises, through worship, and then before you get up to do something like that. And that listen, we're talking about it in a spiritual sense of like pastoring, but that could be you know, you're having a rough time at school, or you're having difficulty with your boss at work or with your employees at work, or there's problems at home, and you got to deal with a situation with your kids.

SPEAKER_03

Like, yeah, you're walking. Let worship lead you into those situations.

SPEAKER_02

100% and watch as God begins to kind of you know move and alleviate these things and just sitting over there like this. Move mountains, if you will. He's getting fed up looking over there, dude. Fed up or fed like uh a little bit of both, probably a little bit of both, dude. He's so bad.

SPEAKER_03

He's like there's too many clips in this one. He's gonna be like, He's like, I can't wait to play the drums next week. Now, yeah, now he's amped up for worship.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, next week. Um, going back to whichever one of you said that, you know, thanks for listening. So you guys were this dude was zoned out. Nah, not listening. Um, like not being ready on the first song. I think another part of it is, you know, I this is something sometimes I also open up with in youth when I speak is you know, you're already here, right? So why not take the opportunity to worship? Like you're already in the room, like sure, you might not want to be here, or you might not be feeling it, or there might be something going on, but it's like you're already here. Why would you not give it your 100%? Which is you know something I've adopted into my coaching and some of my personal aspects of life. But like when you're there, like why are you gonna let the first song go by? Like, why are you gonna let that praise energy in the world?

SPEAKER_03

Dude, especially when this one comes out the day before will be that new song.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So we'll see how that goes. We'll see if we'll see. I mean, obviously, now we're like that new one that you found. Yeah, that I showed everybody.

SPEAKER_00

Um I people need to know just how much about the bake sale.

SPEAKER_03

Tell them about the bake sale.

SPEAKER_00

The bake sale.

SPEAKER_03

Remember, it was on the speaker?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, so we're so the song is called The Joy.

SPEAKER_03

For those of you who were in church yesterday and you enjoyed that song and you want to listen to it by yourself, enjoyed it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. By the belonging co. By David Dennis, my close and personal friend. Um but so bake sale Sunday is like we're go mode, like everything is strictly business, like a lot of things are happening in between services, and I brought out this big speaker to play music on, and the joy starts playing. I had just made, I had just revamped the pre-service um uh playlist, and I get a call, like while I'm like checking, checking somebody out, like taking their money, whatever, and it's Devin. I'm like, yo, what's up? He's like, Yo, man, I'm really glad I showed you this song. This is that song I was talking to you about the other week.

SPEAKER_03

Like, everything is happening. I'm like, dude, we should do this one on a Sunday, right? And he's like, I hate you. I was like, all right, my bad. Like, I was on the other side of the big side. I was like, dude, I showed you this one.

SPEAKER_00

Moral of the story, don't show Devin anything. Yeah, that's my bad. But Matrol. Anyway, but true, like that first song. It's like, why let that go by? It's fun, it's it's uplifting. Like, I get it's early in the morning, it's Sunday, whatever, but it's like you're there. Like, wake up.

SPEAKER_02

And you know you're going. Like, it's not like you wake up on a Sunday and you're like, uh, I mean, maybe some people do, but it's not like you wake up on a Sunday and you're like, ah, I guess I'll go to church daylight.

SPEAKER_03

Finding dory every situation. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly. Like you, you the majority of people that are showing up at church know either the night before, the day before, the whatever, they know I'm gonna go to church tomorrow. So it's like if you knew, it's just like anything, right? You it you make the choice. Like, if you know you have a test the next day, you ought to study for it the night before. If you knew you had a big job interview the next day, you ought to prepare for it. If you knew you had a big presentation at work, you know you ought to prepare for it. Like, if you know already, like you're saying, I'm gonna be there anyway. Yeah. So why would I not prepare for to make this the best experience that it possibly could, to make this the most beneficial for me that I that I possibly could? Like, if you knew you were gonna run a marathon the next day, you're not gonna eat McDonald's the night before. Like you're you're preparing, you're like, speak for yourself. Yeah, you're preparing, you know, for what's to come. And if you know, man, I'm gonna be in church anyway. Why would I not prepare to get the most out of this experience? Like, why would I not be ready to worship?

SPEAKER_03

The other piece you're talking about routines, like the pe one of the pieces for me as a like when I lead worship, I'm I don't think I'm I guess I'm a worship leader when I help and volunteer. But it's like take the quotations out, brother. But it's like I know for me personally, because I'm preparing every day, all week. That's all I do is listen to worship music, and I'm preparing my heart. One thing that I've started to do, so this is if this is you, you're like, you're not even talking to me. You need to start preparing for the other other people, like interceding on behalf of the people. Hey, this person that I'm gonna be sitting next to. That's what I've started to do and realize is like, hey, there's somebody in this room right now that needs to hear this this song. Like, they need the Holy Spirit to move through through worship, and they need the presence of the Lord. So, Lord, please fill this place with your presence and with your peace, because in this room somebody needs it. And it's like just it's like a total shift of like even in leadership, because we talk to the kids, we've mentioned it before, like they get nervous or they get worried about it. It's like it's just that mindset of like it's just worship. Like, I'd be doing this from my seat in the back row, whether I was or if I'm on the show.

SPEAKER_02

And if you're saved and you've been coming to church for a long time and you know how to worship, you ought to jump right into it because you have so many new people in our church that if you're sitting next to somebody that's new and all of a sudden you lift your hand and you begin to worship how you worship, that will make other people around you comfortable to do that too. Like if I walked into a church and nobody was raising their hand, I would and I was a new believer and I wanted to raise my hand, I probably wouldn't because I would feel weird that nobody else is. So, like if you walk into a church and you're a new believer and you're like, man, this song is doing something to me, like I can't hold it in anymore. Yeah. If you look around and you see people like engaged in worship, it's gonna it's gonna push you, you know, to do that. And then again, another leadership opportunity, like somebody else.

SPEAKER_03

Like I remember when I was a kid, this is gonna be funny because I've never mentioned this before or talked about it, but I remember when I was like probably a teenager, high schooler, maybe, and like I wasn't as engaged in worship as I am now, but I remember like standing in sorry, I got the hiccups, uh, service and lifting my hand and just worshiping. I remember it was like after a 604 or something like that. We used to have Sunday night worship services. Let's bring them back. Um, no. And Mary Doria came up to me afterwards. I don't even know if she'd remember this, and she was like, that really like she's been in church her like a whole adult life. Like she's got kids, like she's doing like she's been on our worship teams, she's like engaged in worship, and like she's filled with the Holy Spirit. And she came up to me and was like, That really encouraged me and blessed me watching you worship. Like, and it was like, Oh, that's cool. Like, so older saints, go and tell some of our young people that like I remember that for the rest of my life.

SPEAKER_02

Who's the Curly headed blonde girl. Nicole. I the last time I was in youth, I went up to her after and I was like, Oh yeah, dude. Because from the from the platform, you know, she's down the front. I mean, she that girl knows how to worship. I went up to her after and I said, Hey, I just want to tell you the way you worship encouraged me.

SPEAKER_03

Well, it does encourage others. It it like it really does. It makes the other students or other people want to engage. That was another funny thing about Nicole. Like, she's like praying for people. Like, she'll just be like, she'll go up and like start praying for people. It's cool. Yeah. And I remember one night, like I was like closing out worship and she was praying. And I like went down, and one of the leaders was like, That girl was talking the whole time while you were talking. I was like, no, no, she was praying. She's praying. Why didn't you tell her to stop? I'm like, because she's like laying hands on her friend and praying over her friend. I'm like, so Nicole, good job. You won't see this. So figure out how to worship.

SPEAKER_02

Figure out how to worship this week. Figure out how to prepare your hearts. If you're listening to this on a Monday or a Tuesday or even a Wednesday, figure out how to prepare now for what God wants to do on Sunday or on Wednesday night and figure out how to just jump in. Like jump in headfirst, like close your eyes, raise your hands, start singing, and be engaged in worship. Uh and and I I truly believe that it'll it will make all the difference in your church going experience, but it'll also make all the difference in your daily life. It'll just make you a happier person, is what I'm gonna do.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, I'm really hoping and banking that this new song. I got the joy, I got the joy. You should do like a promo beforehand and be like, listen to this right now.

SPEAKER_02

No, he's gonna aren't you gonna start doing that? Yeah, putting the set on the week, yeah, like the week of so that people can something like that, yeah. Especially with a new song. I think that would be awesome for people. I think people would like it. You put them the put the YouTube link on so watch.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, I'll throw up a when when this comes out, the next Wednesday's communion. So it's gonna be lit and then it'll be jumping. Yeah. Alright, I love it. I love that. Teach the people. Do you guys have like a go-to worship song? I'm sure it changes. Like right now. Depending on like a go-to. Like if I don't know, if you're just like, man, I need to worship right now.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, mine's that one. The Touch of Heaven is my favorite one to put on. Yeah. I just throw that on all the time.

SPEAKER_00

A specific version? David Fox?

SPEAKER_03

Just the no, the original. The original? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

My go-to is that whole. Like if I just need to, if I'm like, man, I gotta worship right now. I I need I need God's help. Like it's that of dirt and grace live, the live one from the holy land. Like and the YouTube videos of it, because they they're like singing oceans like on the Sea of Galilee. Like it's like they're they're like, you know, they're singing all the songs like Where Jesus Preached the Beatitudes, and like they're in the old city, like in the middle of Jerusalem, like singing that.

SPEAKER_03

It's like woof. There and uh there's another one by Hillsong Young and Free called Peace. And it's not like a worship song, but if you just like for I told our students, I've told our teenagers this before, like if you're battling with stress and anxiety, like just the words of it. If you just go in and you listen to it, and then you listen to it again and you listen to it again, it's like just the word, like the way that it talks about like how God commands a girl, so like yeah, it's like whatever God commands, like peace, or like it tells fear to go away. Like it's very, and you're just like peace is the promise you keep. Yeah, peace is the promise. It's a it's a sick song, yeah. But it's not like you wouldn't do it in a worship set, but you could put it on in your car and just keep replaying it. It's like you'll you'll definitely feel the peace of the Lord for sure.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's a little theme with those. I don't know if you noticed, but they're back, man. Shout out Hillsong, let's go. They're back.

SPEAKER_03

Hillsong Worship's back. Their new album's sick. I didn't know they had a new album. I watched it all on YouTube. I watched the whole thing through, dude.

SPEAKER_04

I was like, this is great.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, I really did, I promise. It's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. All right. Well, you can tell we really like worship. I could have we could have talked about that even more, but we hope that you uh that you worship this week. We got a new game.

SPEAKER_03

We got a new game today, and do we have time? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We got the joy of the Lord. Yeah, do you have time? 1040. Dev's gotta go get his head shaved.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got time. Buzzcut? Nah.

SPEAKER_02

Did you say it's 1040? I thought you had to be there at 11. No, I gotta leave at 11. Oh, oh piece of cake. All right, explain the new game to the to the people. So it's not that hard. Number one through 100. Number one through 100. You have a number in your head. Yep. I have a number in your head.

SPEAKER_03

Am I explaining or are you explaining? Okay, go ahead. That's me. That's on me. That's on my head. That's on me. That's my bad. That's my bad. And then we have to ask questions that are, I don't know what that like type of question is. It's like maybe I should have explained it. Non-ambiguous? Is that a word? Non-ambiguous would be specific.

SPEAKER_02

Non-specific questions. Non-specific.

SPEAKER_03

Non-specific questions.

SPEAKER_02

About the number. Yeah. And try to guess the number in each other's correct head. Okay. So I got my number.

SPEAKER_03

Um I got my number too.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

All right. So ask you to go first. Yeah, you go first. I like this.

SPEAKER_02

Um, if if if I had this many number of dogs in my house, I would have too many dogs.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, definitely. Okay. Not even a question. All right. Um, if I got if I was okay, I went back to school right now, and I took a high school history test. Okay. Right? And I got this grade, would you be like surprised or like, wow, that's you think I could do like you'd think, oh man, that that makes sense. He's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good. Oh man, that kind of was an open-ended question.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, yeah, you said surprised, good, and then I'd be like, it's like a good surprise.

SPEAKER_03

Like, wow, he he did a good job. Yeah. Okay. Cool. Um your turn.

SPEAKER_02

Uh would a uh uh would a running back in the NFL wear the number that you're in your head?

SPEAKER_03

No, definitely not. Alright. That's a good question. Good cue. Good cue. That is a good question. If I in a month, do you think it'd be feasible for me to eat this many Reese's cups? In a month? In a month. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's like 95. If I if I did this many push-ups at one at a clip, would you look at me and go, hey, you should try out for the Marines? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Okay. If you did it, you're a pretty fit guy. I mean, I'm not saying anything else. Yes. I I think yeah. That'd be good. Alright. And mine, if I was filling up a pickup truck with gas and this was the total number, the first part of it, would you be like, my tank is full? Fair. I got you pinned. You guys want to do a guess? No. Yeah. No. No.

SPEAKER_02

I'll just ask one more question. If I drove this miles per hour, would I get pulled over? On the highway.

SPEAKER_03

No. Um let me see. If I had this many missed calls on my phone. Would you say it's excessive? Yeah. Okay. Then I know I'm high. Wait a second. If I cut that out.

SPEAKER_04

You said plenty of things that's made us think that before. Promise I'm not. His opener to last week made us think he was high. What were you doing? Water shoes. Water shoes. Water shoes, baby.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. I think I know. Should I could I guess like I'm in a range and then he five.

SPEAKER_02

If I gained this much weight in a year, would you be like, Oh, would you would it be noticeable?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Alright. For sure. Alright. I think I want to guess. And like he and then I keep going, or he tells me if I'm like within a ballpark. What do you think?

SPEAKER_02

Maybe we can start asking more specific questions if we both guess wrong.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. So I think your number is 84. No. But I'm close. Look at his face. Look at him, look at his face.

SPEAKER_02

I think your number is 47. You're close. Okay. Alright, so we can ask. Can we ask more specific questions now then? Sure. Okay. Is yours?

SPEAKER_03

Ah, you asked last time. Okay, fine. Okay, so mine is if a tortoise lived this old, is that normal? Yeah. Yeah, so I'm right there, dude. Um is I'm on that 80 range, 80.

SPEAKER_02

I meant more specific of like, is it a is it? Is it a double number?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Like is it a double like is it? Is the digit is it double digit? Is it the not a double digit number? Because we know that. Is it is it the same?

SPEAKER_03

Whatever number it is, is it no, it's a double digit number. Well, yeah, obviously. Okay. Um is mine an have a second odd number? No. I know what it is.

SPEAKER_02

If someone was the age of your number and they had a 15-year-old, would that make sense?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. That would make perfect sense. Um, is your grandfather older or younger than this number? Good question. Older. Oh, he's older. Okay. He's older. Oh, wait, wait, wait.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not even sure which if that went either way, if it would deserve that reaction.

SPEAKER_03

Oh because I'm narrowing it down, baby.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Um I older or younger than your number.

SPEAKER_03

You're younger. No, I just was making fun of you because you're old.

SPEAKER_02

Um I can't remember what number I even guessed with you. What did I guess? 47?

SPEAKER_03

Alright, so it's younger than your papa. Um is there more or less books of the Bible? Less. There's less books in the Bible? Yeah. Okay, so I'm in between 66 and 90.

SPEAKER_00

Which you were already there, so you were already there.

SPEAKER_03

I'm an idiot.

SPEAKER_02

Um This is gonna be a long game. Is your number is your number a number that a linebacker would wear? Yes.

SPEAKER_03

I got it. Unless you're Roquan Smith, he wears zero. Um go dogs. If um alright, I'll use yours. If I was going this miles per hour, how many would I be over the speed line? In the 360 back roads. Yeah, on a highway. Uh you would No, don't tell me. I'm saying like I would be speeding. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I already knew that. What about what about stupid?

SPEAKER_03

What about in Florida where this yeah, because I'm still there 66, remember? 75, I don't remember. Oh, yeah. Over. Alright, I know what it is. It's 82. Oh. Oh.

SPEAKER_02

You are really close.

SPEAKER_03

Would a wide receiver wear this number? Yes. It's 88. Des Bryant. 88. Hey!

SPEAKER_02

Got it. First try. Your mind goes Dez Bryant on Michael Irvin when you hear 88. Uh, it's my generation. Is your number 54? Nope. Is it in the 50s? Yes. 51. Nope. That would be my favorite. 53.

SPEAKER_04

You want me to tell you? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

50. 50. I knew that would be a tough one. Right in the middle. Right in the middle.

SPEAKER_02

It's a fun game. What is it? Might not be fun for anybody watching or listening. No, I enjoyed that. Those are good questions. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's tough to think off the top of my head, though.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, you really have to be uh detailed.

SPEAKER_03

I'm really excited about our game next week, though.

SPEAKER_02

I gotta learn how to play this thing because honestly, the way they explained it, I had no clue what was going on. We gotta play around right now before I go. Well, wrap it up. We gotta play the new game. We hope that you have an incredible rest of the day or rest of the week.

SPEAKER_03

Hopefully you're preparing your heart right now for worship on Wednesday night, worship on Sunday moaning.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_00
