When you hear the words "high ticket sales" — what comes up?

For most women, it's a number. A big, exciting, slightly terrifying number. And if you pushed a little further, you'd probably say: it's when you charge a lot. It's what successful coaches do.

And you wouldn't be wrong. But you wouldn't have the whole picture either. And that incomplete picture? That's exactly why so many brilliant women are either not selling high ticket at all — or attempting it and wondering why it's not converting the way it should.

In this episode, Vanessa goes back to the foundation — the real definition of high ticket sales. Not the surface version. The one that changes how you show up, how you sell, and what actually becomes possible.

In this episode:
— Why high ticket is not a price point (and why treating it like one is costing you)
— The three mistakes women make most often — including the one nobody talks about
— Why you do not need 10,000 followers to close five-figure sales
— The three non-negotiables: transformation clarity, embodied belief, and holding space for doubt
— The reframe that changes your entire relationship with selling

High ticket sales is not about charging more. It's about serving at a level that is worth more.

Welcome to the High Ticket Portal, where we guide women into financial overflow with a multidimensional touch. I'm Vanessa Storm, a high-ticket sales coach and subconscious reprogrammer for the new era of feminine wealth. Here we merge high-level sales strategy with energetic mastery for ultimate fulfillment and joy in business. This is where women succeed with integrity and class. So let's dive in. Let me ask you something. And I want you to be really honest with yourself when you answer it. When you hear the words high-ticket sales, what comes up for you? For a lot of women, the first thing that comes up is a number, a big number. Something that feels exciting, but also a little bit terrifying. And if I pushed you a little bit further, I'd probably hear things like, it's when you charge a lot for something. It's when you sell a program or a service for thousands of dollars. It's what those successful coaches do. And none of those things are wrong, but none of them are the whole picture either. And the incomplete picture is exactly why so many brilliant women are either not doing high-ticket at all or they're attempting it and it's not really converting the way that they want it to. So today we're gonna go back to the foundation. We're talking about what high ticket sales actually is, not the surface definition, but the real one, the one that changes how you show up, how you sell, and what becomes possible for you when you really, really get it. Welcome to the high ticket portal. I'm Vanessa Carling. Here's the first thing I want to dismantle right now. High ticket is not a price point. I'm going to sell that again because it really matters. High ticket sales is not a price point. Yes, it involves a significant investment, but the moment you think of high ticket as the expensive version of what you already do, you have fundamentally misunderstood what you're building and you will struggle every single time you try to sell it because you'll be trying to justify a number instead of selling a transformation. High ticket is a category of sale where the buyer is making a decision that changes the trajectory of their life or business. It's not a transaction, it's a turning point. And that distinction changes absolutely everything. What you offer, how you position it, who you sell it to, and how the conversation goes. Think about it from the buyer's side. Someone who buys a $22 course is just testing the water. She just wants information. She's not gonna stress about it either way. But someone who makes a five, $10,000, $50,000 investment, she's committing to a version of herself that she hasn't become yet. She is betting on herself. That is an entirely different emotional, psychological, and really spiritual transaction. And it definitely requires a different kind of selling. Which brings me to the first mistake that I see so many women make. Mistake number one, trying to sell high-ticket offers the way that you would sell a low-ticket product. Low-ticket selling is largely about information and impulse. The copy does the work, the funnel does the work, the price point is low enough that the friction is low. People can decide in minutes, maybe even seconds. High ticket, on the other hand, does not work like that. And it never will. High ticket selling is a relationship before it's a transaction. It requires trust. It requires specificity. It requires a conversation, a real one, where the person on the other side of the call feels seen, heard, understood, and genuinely believes that what you are offering is the specific answer to her specific problem. You can't automate that. You can't make a template out of that. You can only do that by being a present, skilled, genuinely invested human being on that call. Full stop. The second mistake, confusing high ticket with high maintenance. I hear this a lot, especially from women who've had difficult client experiences. High ticket clients are demanding, they're expecting everything, they're exhausting. And I want to gently push back on that because what's actually happening when a high-ticket client becomes high maintenance, it's not that the client is the problem, it's that the container is not clearly defined. Expectations weren't set, or client was sold something that wasn't actually a right fit for them because the seller needed a sale more than she was listening to what the client actually needed. When you sell the right offer to the right person at the right moment in their journey, high-ticket clients are the most motivated, the most committed, the most extraordinary people to work with because they chose this consciously with full awareness of what it's costing them. And people who invest at that level show up differently every time. Okay, third mistake. And this is a big one. Thinking that high ticket requires a huge audience or huge following. It really, really doesn't. Let me be really clear about this because it is one of the most pervasive lies in the online business world. You absolutely do not need tens of thousands of followers to have to sell a high-ticket offer. You just need the right 10 people or the right just one person. I have seen women with under a thousand followers consistently sell packages for several thousand dollars because they understood what they were offering. They understood who it was for and they knew how to have the kind of conversation that created the level of certainty in the other person. So that's a skill, not a number. So if you have a small following right now, you don't have to worry about that. So what does high-ticket sales actually require? Let me give you what I think are the three non-negotiables. The first one is absolute clarity on the transformation. Not the features, not the modules, not the number of calls, the transformation, the specific, measurable, life-changing result that your client gets on the other side of working with you. If you can't articulate that in one clear, compelling sentence, you're not ready to sell high ticket. Not because you're not good enough, but because if you can't articulate it, your client definitely cannot either. And if they can't see it, they're not gonna buy it. The second is belief. And when this unshakable belief is fully in your body, sales calls feel very different. They feel like service. So we're gonna do a whole episode on that, but I want to plant that seed right now. And the third non-negotiable is the ability to hold space for someone's doubt without collapsing into it. Because here's what happens on high-ticket sales calls. The woman on the other side of the phone, she wants to say yes. She reached out because there's something in her that's already leaning towards this. But there's also a part of her that is terrified, that's waiting for a reason to stay small. And your job as the person holding the vision of what is possible for her is to stay steady, not to push and not to manipulate, but to hold the space until she can access her own certainty. That is a true leadership skill, and you can absolutely learn it. So I want to close this episode with something that I think reframes this whole conversation. Because what I've described today is not really a sales model. What I've described is a way of showing up for another human being at a pivotal moment in their life, a way of holding a mirror for someone and saying, I see what's possible for you, and I can actually help to get you there. It's actually one of the most generous acts that you can perform in business. And I want you to really sit with that because how you think about sales determines how you show up in every single conversation in your business. And it will either cost you or it will benefit you. So high-ticket sales is not about just charging a bunch more money, it's about serving at a level that's just worth more and building the skills, the mindset, the conversation skills, the energetics, the leadership to deliver that consistently to the women who are ready for it. This is what this series is about. And this is what I teach. And this is what we're gonna get into in the next upcoming episodes.
