Saint Patrick’s life shows that faith can be bold, creative, and powerful. Even from ordinary or difficult beginnings, God can do extraordinary things through us when we step courageously into the unknown and let our faith shine in ways that others can see and be inspired by.

We’re so pumped you’re here again, friend! God is so good, and we’re proud of you for choosing to grow closer to our Blessed Mother and her Son, Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_01

Hi friend, I'm Kayla. And I'm Kendra.

SPEAKER_00

And this is the Laundry Room Rosary.

SPEAKER_01

Because holiness doesn't wait for calm mornings or clean counters. It's found right here in the middle of this thing called life.

SPEAKER_00

In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, amen. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

SPEAKER_01

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

SPEAKER_01

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

SPEAKER_01

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_01

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Ireland was a wild, untamed land, rolling green hills, misty mornings, and villages full of people steeped in fear and superstition. Into this world stepped a man named Patrick, a shepherd, a slave, and later a missionary who refused to let fear or circumstance define his story. His life reminds us that God can take the most ordinary, even broken beginnings and turn them into something extraordinary.

SPEAKER_00

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Patrick's faith was bold. He didn't tiptoe around danger. He walked right into it. He used simple things, like the shamrock, to explain profound truths about God's love, the Trinity, and the kingdom. In doing so, he made faith accessible, colorful, and unforgettable. He didn't rely on complex arguments or elaborate rituals. He relied on creativity, courage, and God's power.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Faith, like Patrick's, often calls us into the unknown. He spent years far from home, in places that terrified him, living out obedience when it seemed inconvenient or impossible. The true cost of love is stepping out into the lives of others with courage, not waiting for comfort or perfect timing. Patrick's story is a reminder that God's worked often happens in the ordinary moments we might overlook. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. We can learn from Patrick today. Faith doesn't have to be boring or safe. It can be vibrant, expressive, and brave. It colors our relationships, our communities, and even the world around us when we lean in fully, trusting God to guide our steps. Obedience may be costly, but it's also contagious. Just like Patrick's life continues to inspire people centuries later.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him. We humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Amen.

SPEAKER_01

So today on St. Patrick's Day, I am solo again. Um my sister has been a little bit under the weather, but I also have told her from the time we started this podcast, I'm the one that does the editing. So if it ever feels overwhelming, I can just jump in, we can get it done, and she'll be back soon. St. Patrick's Day. So I grew up in a very, very Irish community. I myself am not Irish, I don't think. At least not very much if I am. I come from more of a German Czechia ancestry. But the fact that we get to talk about St. Patrick's Day on March 17th is just always so much fun for me because the little town where I went to Catholic Mass for the first 18 plus years of my life had one of the biggest St. Patrick's Day parades in the state. And it's just such an incredible opportunity to see the Irish heritage and to see so many people coming together to celebrate this day. I think what's really cool about today's reflection is that Patrick's faith was bold. He didn't tiptoe around danger, he walked right into it. And not only that, but we can learn from Patrick today. Faith doesn't have to be boring or safe. Faith doesn't have to be something that we fear. In fact, one really tactile thing that I have started doing, which Kayla five years ago would have never, is that I actually have like quite a few faith t shirts that are incredible conversation starters. So I'm gone pretty soon for a women's retreat that I'm putting on. And I'm very excited about it. And I have a couple different shirts that I've packed either to wear at the airport or to, you know, wear whenever I'm At the retreat, but a lot of them have scripture and a lot of them have things that I love to talk about within my faith life. One of them actually has a really cool monstrance on it. And I just love that it is a talking point and it's an opportunity for me to share the love of Jesus and to share the beauty of faith in such a simple way. I mean, a t-shirt can be a talking point. It absolutely can be. I also have tattoos on my arms, and a lot of them are actually every single one of them is either tied back to faith or my family. And so being able to share and to talk about what these things mean to me and to share my testimony with perfect strangers, it is, it's just so much fun. Now, I will say, I am not one of those people that's going to just seek out conversation at the airport, not because I'm antisocial, but truly because I'm a millennial. And let's be real, I need to make sure that my gate exists before I go find my coffee. So it's not something where I walk around saying, hey, do you like my shirt? But it is a talking point where if I see someone looking at my shirt or if someone mentions, you know, it is okay to compliment strangers. And it's also okay to talk about faith in everyday life. I love more than anything being able to talk about faith in day-to-day conversation. It's not just reserved for Sunday mornings at mass. It's open anytime. So whether it is a bold step of faith that you're taking or a creative way to share the gospel, like a t-shirt in the airport, or just trusting God in moments that have felt impossible before. I think today's reflection is really cool. And we can remember St. Patrick because he was an absolute pivotal person for the Catholic Church in Ireland. And, you know, take that bold step of faith today and see how your faith can be colorful, courageous, and let it draw people in in ways that maybe you've never expected before.
