Mary's grief began before the world even understood. She watched angels and prophets speak of suffering she would not yet see. She felt the tension of love and loss colliding inside her. That weight is real, and it's meant to teach us something. Love costs. Every act of true love carries a price, sometimes paid in advance through pain and preparation. Well, this is exactly what I needed to hear today. Why is that? Because I struggle in motherhood. I struggle in motherhood with a child who is a lot like I was when I was little. And I don't want to carry that cross right now. I don't want to. It's hard. And then reading this and knowing that Mary watched her son die on a cross, and she did it with faith, and she did it with grace. This is why we don't upload the videos. Okay, just relax. I can be her mom and do what I need to do, but I have to stop relying on myself to get through it.

It's a lot, and no, I mean it's so frustrating because you want to talk them through it. But most of the time when you go to talk them through it, they're not gonna listen to one word you have to say. There is no talking to them. There is no you can yell until you are blue in the face, you can walk away. They're not they don't care. But once they get out of that mindset that they're in, then you can legit have a conversation.

I what if part of the parenting cross is legit? Of what them handling their anxiety should look like.

But we still have to be there for them.

No, I totally know that, but I'm saying, like I didn't navigate anxiety great when I was little. But it triggers me whenever my daughter struggles with it, and I don't know why. And so maybe that's the courage that I need to trust God in the midst of this sorrow. It ain't fun.
