When we stop running and actually face that weight, it exposes us, refines us, and teaches us to trust God in a deeper way. It’s not comfortable, but it’s where real transformation happens—and where love, mercy, and resurrection begin.

I had every intention of making these reflections through Lant Heavy and to make us stop, but holy cats. This is everything I needed to hear this last couple weeks. And the more I answer that call, the more I feel like, I just want to take a nap.

That is what I feel like motherhood is. The kids have to do their things. We can't do it for them. So we have to be there for them to help them through it.

You know what really got to me when you said it's a forge, hammering faith into our hearts, willing to endure, willing to feel, willing to love like Christ. I think for so long I thought faith was this one and done. And I know that it's not. But just about the time that faith feels like, yeah, I am really doing it, showing up, then it's like, here's another opportunity for my faith to be forged even more. And I feel like I'm a pickup that's like stuck in the mud. You can't go anywhere. When in all reality, if you rely on yourself for that, you're never gonna get out of it. But if you show up and you're like, okay, I'm gonna stop running, which I wanted to say at the beginning, let's be real, I don't run. So I'm not actually physically running anywhere. But but stop pretending you can handle life on your own. Okay, I got it, God. You and I are not theologians, we are not physicists, we are not we're not special, really. We're just two sisters who decide to do a podcast. But if the one thing that you can get out of today is to remember to stop trying to handle life on your own, then all of these Linton reflections have served their purpose.
