The Laundry Room Rosary
The King of Glory
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Palm Sunday isn’t just celebration—it’s the tension between glory and the Cross. While the crowd cheers for a king they don’t fully understand, Mary sees the suffering ahead and carries it quietly in her heart. It reminds us that true victory doesn’t come through comfort, but through surrender, sacrifice, and a love that walks straight into the Cross.
We’re so pumped you’re here again, friend! God is so good, and we’re proud of you for choosing to grow closer to our Blessed Mother and her Son, Jesus Christ.

Hi friend, I'm Kayla. And I'm Kendra.
SPEAKER_00And this is the Laundry Room Rosary.
SPEAKER_01Because holiness doesn't wait for calm mornings or clean counters. It's found right here in the middle of this thing called life.
SPEAKER_00In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, amen. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
SPEAKER_01I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
SPEAKER_01Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
SPEAKER_00Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_01As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. Palm Sunday, the streets throng with people, voices rising like waves, shouting Hosanna. Palms wave, cloaks are thrown, hearts are alive with hope, and yet none of them fully understand. Mary walks alongside him. She sees the excitement, the cheers, the frenzy, but her eyes know the path that lies ahead.
SPEAKER_02This is the king, but this is also the cross waiting.
Amen.

SPEAKER_01As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy.
SPEAKER_02The crowd wants triumph. They want a hero.
SPEAKER_01They want a king who will conquer without suffering, who delivers without dying. They do not understand that glory comes through surrender, that victory comes through sacrifice. Mary does. Every step her son takes down the road is a step into heartbreak, betrayal, and the weight of the world's sins.
SPEAKER_02She feels it. She carries it in her heart.
SPEAKER_00Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
SPEAKER_01Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

SPEAKER_02The palms, the cheers, the songs, they are beautiful, fleeting and fragile.
SPEAKER_01The world celebrates the surface of glory while the depths remain unseen. Mary watches the King of Glory, fully human, fully divine, bearing the weight of all creation with quiet strength. She doesn't clap, she doesn't cheer, she prays, she prepares, she knows the true meaning of this moment.
SPEAKER_02Every shroud of celebration masks the shadow of the cross.
Amen.

SPEAKER_01As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. The Rosary invites us to walk this path with her, to see the king in the crowd, to feel the tension between fleeting human praise and eternal divine purpose. Each mystery, each hail mary is a step along that road.
SPEAKER_02We hold our own hearts to the wood of the cross, even as the world waves palms. We learn to celebrate truth, courage, and love, not spectacle.
SPEAKER_00Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy. So today, don't just admire the parade. Step into it. Feel the roar, feel the hope, feel the tension. Honor the King of glory who rides toward suffering, toward betrayal, toward love that conquers death itself. Let Mary teach you to hold your awe, your fear, and your devotion in one trembling hand. Glory and grief can coexist.

SPEAKER_00Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Amen.
SPEAKER_02That entire reflection just gave me full-body goosebumps everywhere.
SPEAKER_00I feel like that's a lot. The whole entire podcast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. To realize that we can hold our awe and our fear and our devotion. And that we can step into the parade and follow him to the cross. How can you hold your heart to the cross when the world's waving palms?
SPEAKER_00That each Hail Mary is a step along the road. Just to think of all of it in like real time. I've never watched the passion. You always tell me to. You should? That just I don't know. I don't know how to explain it.
SPEAKER_01I think for me, it is a very, very stark realization that we are human beings and earth was never meant to be our forever home. But to celebrate with our Lord in heaven, we gotta follow Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Even through the hard, hard, hard stuff.
SPEAKER_01Like and I don't know, it just even though it's something that we've learned and we've been taught like our whole lives, unless we take up our cross and we follow Jesus, we don't celebrate the resurrection.
SPEAKER_02And that's intense.
SPEAKER_00Maybe, which doesn't happen very often.
SPEAKER_02Never happens, people. Never happens.
SPEAKER_00I just I don't know. I'm just thinking of like uh all five of these reflections. And I don't know. I don't even know how to describe what I feel after we read them.
SPEAKER_02It it is such a vortex of feelings.
SPEAKER_01Excitement, joy, poems, singing King of Glory, and then also knowing that he's gonna die on the cross for me. Right. Maybe that's what listeners should take from today is we can't give you a definitive answer of what this is. But uh but we want you to think about it. And and what is what is this what are these reflections and the king of glory? Where do you feel called?
