Betrayal cuts deep, exposing not just the failures of others but the broken places within us. The Cross forces us to face it honestly, not run from it, and invites us to stand in it with courage like Mary did. And in that place, what feels like it will destroy you can actually refine you, strengthen you, and lead you back to real love.

She held Jesus and sensed the knife of every hidden sin, every unspoken lie, every fleeting loyalty. Shadows of betrayal aren't just around us, they're inside of us.

Lean into the cross, let your heart break, and allow Mary to show you how to stand firm when the world falters, when trust is shattered, and when love seems impossible. Shadows are heavy, but at the foot of the cross they reveal the fiercest light.

Oh my gosh. Okay, so I had a really good friend of mine message me the other day and say, I need to talk to you. What time do you leave for work? I said, I'm just pulling out of my yard now. I said, wait, I don't know, a couple minutes until I get out of the big bottom. And so she waited a little bit and she called and she was like, I don't know how I'm gonna tell you this without crying. I said, then cry and tell me through tears. I said it's fine. I said, tell me, tell me what you need to talk talk to me about. She goes, I've been taking pills. And I was like, okay. And she said that she had listened to another podcast or another rosary of ours that was about betrayal or hidden um lies or something. I can't remember. She said, I had to tell somebody. I had to talk to somebody. And as I was listening to that one this morning, I knew I had to call and talk to you because I knew you wouldn't judge me. I knew you wouldn't be like, oh my gosh, do you know what so-and-so did? And I'm like, of course not. And she we talked for quite a while, and she had not had any for several days, and she said, I'm feeling more like normal, but the past few days have been hell.

I think that's huge. I think that bringing the things to the light that are uncomfortable and quite frankly horrible for us to live through. Like, we're not meant to live this life alone. We're not Meant to grow in faith alone. My um my own like testimony about this probably not as intense, but I have shared on here before that I've struggled with body dysmorphia terribly and that I feel like very the best word I can think of right now is ill in my own skin, which that's super scientific sounding. But I realized that after I got back from Utah last week and took a while to reset and after my retreat and to just be, I realized that yeah, I was showing up and working out, but I wasn't pushing myself very hard. And so I picked up heavyweights and I kicked butt in my workout and walked two and a half miles, and I was like, okay, quit shortchanging yourself and lean into this hard moment because if you're gonna keep whining about it, but you're not gonna change anything, this is on you. It's not on anybody else.
