Final Comments:
Let’s talk about OSHA logs!
Must be kept current to within two weeks of any recordable event
Must be continuously updated over the life of the document
Absences due to an injury can stop being recorded after 180 calendar days, the employee quits or retires.
If an injury occurs late in the year and the 180-day cap is not reached by Dec. 31, the count does not carry over to next year's log.
When an employee is on leave, changes in status must be made to the log for the next 5 years
