What if this week wasn't about getting through it?
What if it was about growing because of it?
In this week's Monday Fire-Up on F Is for Effort, we're shifting the focus away from survival mode and toward expansion. Every challenge, responsibility, and obstacle you face this week is an opportunity to become more capable, more disciplined, and more resilient.
This episode introduces the Extra Rep Challenge—a simple but powerful commitment to do one more each day. One more rep. One more call. One more act of discipline.
Because growth rarely comes from massive leaps.
It comes from small moments where you choose to go beyond what is comfortable.
Stop asking, "How do I get through this week?"
Start asking, "Who can I become because of it?"
Press play.
Raise your ceiling.
Expand your capacity.
Attack the week.
F is for Effort. 🔥💪
Hello and welcome to your Monday fireup. And it starts now. It's Monday. A new week is here. And as most people start this week, they're asking themselves one question. How do I get through it? How do I get through the meetings? How do I get through the workouts? How do I get through the responsibilities? But that's the wrong question. The better question is, how do I become more capable because of it? Because this week is not just another seven days. This week is an opportunity to raise your ceiling, to expand what you're capable of handling. Think about it. Every challenge you've overcome in your life increased your capacity. Every obstacle you pushed through made you stronger. Every difficult situation taught you something. And because of that, things that once felt impossible now feel normal. That's growth. That's what raising your ceiling looks like. But here's the mistake people make: they spend all their energy protecting their comfort, avoiding difficulty, avoiding discomfort, avoiding challenge. And then they wonder why they feel stuck. Growth doesn't happen inside comfort. Growth happens when you prove you can handle more when things get difficult. More responsibility, more discipline, more pressure, more commitment. And the beautiful thing is that you don't have to raise your ceiling overnight. You raise it one decision at a time, one challenge at a time, one uncomfortable moment at a time. Every time you choose effort over excuses, the ceiling rises. Every time you continue when quitting would be easier, the ceiling rises. Every time you do something your old self would have avoided, the ceiling rises. And eventually you become someone capable of things that once intimidated you. That's what I want for you this week. Not survival, expansion, growth, and progress. Become bigger than the challenge. Become stronger than the obstacle. Become more capable than you were last Friday. Okay, and now it's time for your fire up challenge. And this is the extra rep challenge. Okay, so here is your challenge. This week, once per day, do one more than you planned. So do one more rep on a workout, one more minute on focused work, one more call, one more task, and one more act of discipline. Not because you have to, because you're training yourself expansion. You're teaching yourself that your limits are often further away than you think. Seven days, seven extra efforts, and watch what happens. Okay, and now with that, it's time for the takeaways and your final push. Let me leave you with this. The goal this week isn't to prove how much you can do, the goal is to discover how much you're capable of becoming. Because the version of you that reaches the next level is not created through comfort. It's created through challenge, through effort, through choosing growth when easy would be available. So as this week begins, stop asking, can I handle this? Instead, ask, who will I become because of this? That's the question that changes everything. And as you go about this week raising that ceiling, if you don't accomplish that particular task at first, it's all good. Just reset and try again. Because it's just failed effort. Life lived. And growth is happening. New week, higher ceiling, expanded capacity, relentless effort. Now go become more than you were yesterday. Thank you all for joining me today. I hope you all have a great Monday and week ahead. Please don't forget to follow this podcast if you haven't done so already. I'm Jack Hayden. Until next time.
