The gap between where you are and where you want to be isn't crossed in one giant leap.

It's built one effort at a time.

In this week's Monday Fire-Up on F Is for Effort, we're focusing on the power of steady progress and the daily actions that move you closer to your goals.

Too often, people become overwhelmed by how far they still have to go. But real growth happens when you stop staring at the destination and start building the path that leads there.

This episode introduces the Bridge Builder Challenge—a simple commitment to take one meaningful action every day that directly moves you forward.

One action.
One effort.
One plank at a time.

Because confidence, momentum, and success aren't built overnight.

They're built through consistent effort stacked over time.

Press play.
Build the bridge.
Close the gap.
Attack the week.

F is for Effort. 🔥💪

Hello, and welcome everyone to your Monday Fire Up. It's another new Monday. A brand new week is here. And somewhere in your mind, there's a picture of where you want to be: a stronger version of yourself, a healthier version, a more disciplined version, a more successful version. We all have that picture. The problem is that most people spend more time staring at the destination than building the path that leads to it. They focus on how far away it feels, how much work is left, how much they still need to improve. And because of that, they start feeling overwhelmed before the week even gets going. But here's what I want you to remember today. You don't have to leap across the gap. You only have to build the bridge, one plank at a time, one effort at a time, one decision at a time. That's how every meaningful goal is reached. Nobody wakes up one morning and suddenly becomes the person they want to be. Just doesn't happen that way. They become the person through repetition, through consistency, through showing up where they don't feel like it, through making deposits before they see withdrawals. And that's what this week is really about building another section of the bridge. Maybe you won't see dramatic results this week. Maybe nobody notices your effort. Maybe the progress feels small. That's okay. Because every action matters, every workout matters, every disciplined choice matters. Every time you keep a promise to yourself, it matters. You're laying another plank on that bridge. And eventually something incredible happens. You look back and realize you've traveled much further than you thought. Not because of one massive breakthrough, but because of hundreds of small efforts stacked together. That's how confidence and momentum are built. That's how lives change. Not overnight, but over time. So stop worrying about how far away the destination looks and just focus on the next plank, the next effort, the next action. That's where your power lives. All right, and now it's that time again. Time for your new fire-up challenge. And I call this one the bridge builder. Are you ready? Okay, here's your challenge this week. Every day, identify one action that directly moves you closer to a goal you've been thinking about. Not a busy task, not preparation, not planning, a real action that moves you closer to that goal, something that actually builds the bridge. Then complete it before the day ends. One action every day for the next seven days. So maybe it's sending that work proposal, starting the workout to get you to your fitness goal, making the call, applying for that new opportunity you want, or just taking the first step you've been avoiding. At the end of the week, you will have built seven new planks on that bridge. Seven pieces of progress, seven reasons to trust yourself more. Okay, so here are the takeaways and your final push. Let me leave you with this. Your future is not built in giant moments. It's built in ordinary moments repeated consistently. The future version of you isn't waiting for perfection. That version is waiting for action, for effort, for movement, for another plank on that bridge. So as this week begins, stop focusing on the distance. Stop measuring how far you still have to go. Instead, ask yourself, what bridge can I build today? Because progress isn't about crossing the entire gap at once. It's about refusing to stop building. And if you find you have to keep trying repeatedly to lay a plank on that bridge, just reset and try again. Because you're just experiencing failed effort. Life lived. New week, new opportunities, another section of the bridge. Now get out there and build something that your future self will thank you for. Thank you for joining me today. Please don't forget to follow this podcast. I hope you all have a great Monday and a great week ahead. I'm Jack Hayden. Until next time.
