How much space are you giving doubt?

In this week's Monday Fire-Up on F Is for Effort, we're tackling one of the biggest momentum killers: overthinking, hesitation, and letting doubt take control of the conversation in your head.

The truth is, confidence doesn't usually show up before action.

It shows up after.

After the effort.
After the risk.
After the first step.

This episode introduces the Doubt Replacement Challenge—a simple but powerful mindset shift designed to stop overthinking and start moving.

Every time doubt shows up, replace it with one question:

"What's the next action?"

Because progress isn't built through certainty.

It's built through movement.

Press play.
Silence the doubt.
Make the next move.
Attack the week.

F is for Effort. 🔥💪

Happy Monday, everyone, and welcome to your fireup. It's a new Monday. A new week is here. And before we talk about goals, momentum, and progress, I want to ask you a question. How much space are you giving doubt? Think about it. How much time do we spend questioning ourselves? Wondering if we're ready or capable or even good enough? Or wondering if this effort is ever going to pay off? And the crazy thing is that most of the time, doubt never actually solves anything. It just occupies space. Space that could be used for action, for growth, and for progress. Now, don't get me wrong, everyone experiences doubt. That's normal. The goal isn't to eliminate it, the goal is to stop letting it move in and take over. Because the moment doubt becomes your primary voice, effort becomes harder. You may hesitate, overthink, delay, wait. And while you're waiting, the week keeps moving. Opportunities keep moving. Life keeps moving. The people making progress aren't the people with zero doubt. They're the people who refuse to let doubt make decisions for them. They may hear the doubt in their mind, but they decide to move anyway despite those doubts. That's courage. It's not the absence of fear or uncertainty, but movement despite it. And that's available to you this week. You don't need certainty to move. You need willingness. Willingness to take the next step and to trust yourself. Willingness to let action answer questions that thinking never will. Because here's what I've learned. Confidence rarely shows up before action. It usually shows up after. After those workouts, the difficult conversations, the risks, after the effort. That's when confidence arrives, not before. So if you've been waiting to feel completely confident before you start something this week, stop waiting. Just move first. Let effort create the confidence. Okay, and now it's that time. Time for your fire up challenge. And I call this one the doubt replacement challenge. Okay, are you ready? Here is your challenge. This week, every time you catch yourself thinking, I don't know if I can, replace it immediately with what's the next action I can make? Not the final outcome or the entire plan, just the next action to take. That means every doubt gets answered with movement, every hesitation gets answered with effort. Every uncertainty gets answered with progress. Because action is the fastest way to eliminate doubt. And by the end of the week, you'll be amazed how much mental energy you've reclaimed. Okay, and now that you have your new fire up challenge, it's time to give you the takeaways and your final push. Let me leave you with this. Doubt is always going to knock on the door. The question is whether you're going to hand it the keys and let it in. This week, don't give space to it. Don't let it sit in your head all day. Don't let it tell you what you're capable of, because your future will never be determined by your doubts. It will be determined by your actions. The things you did, the efforts you made, the moments you chose courage over comfort. So as this week begins, stop asking yourself whether you're ready and start asking yourself what the next move is. Then make it. And remember, if your actions don't get you the intended results you want at first, don't let doubt get to you. Just try again because it was just failed effort. Life lived. And just keep at it. New week less doubt, more action, relentless effort. Now go and make this week earn your confidence. Thank you for joining me today. Please don't forget to follow this podcast if you haven't done so already. Have a great Monday and a great week. I'm Jack Hayden. Until next time.
