You can't control every challenge that comes your way this week.

But you can control how you respond.

In this week's Monday Fire-Up on F Is for Effort, we're talking about one of the most powerful mindset shifts you can make: learning to own your weather.

Setbacks, frustrations, and unexpected obstacles are part of life. They don't have to become the story of your week.

This episode introduces the Two-Minute Reset Challenge—a simple habit to help you pause, regain perspective, and choose your next move with intention instead of emotion.

Because resilience isn't built when everything goes your way.

It's built in the moments that test you.

Press play.

Own your response.

Own your effort.

Own your week.

Hello and welcome to your Monday Fireup. And it starts right now. Let's get going. It's a new Monday. A brand new week is here again. And before the week gets moving, I want you to think about one question. Who's in charge of your weather? Now, I'm not talking about sunshine or rain. I'm talking about your internal weather, your attitude, your perspective, your response. Because here's something we've all experienced. You wake up with a plan, then life happens. A difficult email, a missed opportunity, traffic, an unexpected disagreement, a workout that doesn't go well, or a meeting that drains your energy. And before you know it, you've allowed one moment to forecast your entire day. We've all done it. But here's the truth: bad moments are inevitable. Bad days don't have to be. The people who keep growing aren't the ones who avoid storms. They're the ones who refuse to become the storm. They don't let frustration become their identity. They don't let one setback steal an entire week. They pause, adjust, and keep moving. Because they understand something powerful. You may not control what happens around you, but you always have influence over what happens within you. That's where your strength lives. Your response, your outlook, your next decision. That's all within your control. This week, don't let temporary frustration become permanent direction. One difficult conversation doesn't define your Monday. One mistake doesn't define your Tuesday. One setback doesn't get to write the story of your Wednesday. You get to write that story every single day and every single decision. Because your attitude isn't something that happens to you, it's something you practice. Some days it'll be easy and some days it won't. But the people who become resilient aren't waiting for perfect conditions. They're learning how to thrive in messy and chaotic conditions. That's the opportunity waiting for you this week. Not a perfect week, a powerful response. Okay, so it's time to give you a new fire-up challenge for the week. And I think you'll be able to weather it out. I call this one the two-minute reset. Are you ready? Okay, here's your challenge. The first time something throws you off this week, don't react immediately. Instead, take two minutes. No phone, no complaining, no replaying the problem in your head. Just take those two minutes to breathe and ask yourself three questions. What can I control? What's my next best move? And who do I want to be in this moment? Then move, not emotionally, intentionally. Because two minutes of clarity can save two hours of frustration, maybe even an entire day. Okay, and now that you have your challenge for the week, it's time for me to give you the takeaways and your final push. Let me leave you with this. You can't control every forecast this week. Some days will feel bright, sunny, and cheerful, others will feel dark, stormy, and stressful. Some moments will lift you, others will test you. But don't measure the quality of your week by the conditions around you. Instead, measure it by the character you bring into those conditions. Because strength isn't revealed when everything goes your way, strength is revealed when everything doesn't. So when the unexpected happens this week, don't surrender your attitude, your effort, or your direction. Own your weather. Own your response. Own your week. And as you weather out any problem or situation that comes your way this week, if you find you have to keep taking those necessary two minutes to reset, it's okay. It's completely understandable. Because it's just failed effort. Life lived. And the storm will pass. New week, new opportunities, one choice at a time. Now go become the calm in whatever storm this week brings. Thank you for joining me today. Please make sure to follow this podcast if you haven't done so already. Have a great Monday and a great week ahead. I'm Jack Hayden. Until next time.
