31. Melania

There is only one Melania. Of course I am taking about Melania Trump. She is 54 and has been married to Donald for 20 years. They have an 18-year-old son called Barron. Melania  was born in 1970 in Slovenia ( the old Yugoslavia). She is also the fist naturalized First Lady of the USA. She moved to America in 1966 and became a permanent resident. Melania was a professional model, scouted at only 16, working in Paris and Milan. She moved to New York in 1966, working for Sports illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. She met Donald at a party and they were married in 2005. She refused to give him her telephone number, but agreed to take his. She also has a jewelry and skin care business and works for children's charities with her ‘Be Best’ campaign. She has been frequently criticized for her fashion choices such as her  ‘I don’t really care, do you’ jacket. Also, for not moving quickly to Washington DC, a lack of engagement, low public profile and lately the infamous White House renovations. The Trumps marriage has been rocked by The Stormy Daniels Affair in 2006 and her pay off, various other alleged affairs ( e.g. the Playboy Model Karen McDougal) and the Access Hollywood Tape, where Donald was abusive towards women. She has allegedly negotiated a favorable pre nuptial agreement in return for her silence. She retains her independence and is often distant from Donald, refusing to hold hands etc. She is private, compose and loyal. In the past she has commented, ‘ I am a very independent woman, I know exactly who I am. I don’t need to talk about it'. ‘I didn’t come here for the money; I came out of love for my husband and love for this country’ and also ‘I am the most bullied person in the world'. She made a speech in 2016 which allegedly copied parts of a Michelle Obam speech from 2008

My song about Melani starts with the words, Never a ‘yes person’. No one, stops her speaking out, thats certain .‘Don’t wanna talk about the headlines. They're his problems, not mine’

Then ,’A Lady and mother on the cat walk. Said it was ‘only locker room talk’’ -referring to the Access Hollywood Tape. She makes clear her detachment from Government issues, i.e. ‘Doesn’t’ get involved in their policy. Can't change, known for her honesty. He thinks big, wants results, gets things done, at home he consults.’  I think the line ‘they're his problems not mine is particularly revealing and one that sets her apart from most other First Ladies

She also makes it clear from time to time that disagrees with some of her husbands' policies such as ‘Against those fighting at the US Capital .Pleaded not to separate the migrant people’

Again, her independence is highlighted with the song lines, ‘Not seen in public, or on the campaign trail. Travels when she can, like a single female. She's not a 'yes' person, a hard to please wife. Does her own thing. Shelters her son's life’.  She is always fiercely protective of her son in all situations.

Her overall approach to life is clear with the statement, ‘Supports him; likes life with no scrutiny. Like to feel good, and long-term unity’. He fashion choice is also no one else's business as she sings, ‘Full-time mom, styling herself. Chooses, what to wear, to play in, when to cut loose.’ She often complements her husband , despite their problems, with words like ,’ He’s got a deep unbounding determination. A never-give-up attitude, no hesitation.’ The big final  line is the song is ‘‘Don’t wanna talk about the headlines. They're his problems, not mine’. Melani is a tour de force, whatever you think about her marriage and her husband.
