Awakened Intimacy
Awakened Intimacy is a podcast for anyone awakening to the deeper dimensions of truth and love — where relationships held safety and honesty create depth and growth.
Hosted by Greer & Aaron Christos, therapeutic coaches and founders of Intimacy for Couples, each conversation explores how real relationships become both sanctuary for connection and a catalyst for change — the place where we meet our wounds, dissolve old patterns, and discover intimacy as a path of spiritual awakening.
Through lived stories, psychological insight, and embodied wisdom, we explore themes such as:
• Safety & the nervous system — “No safety, no intimacy.”
• Seeing the mirror in your triggers — learning to meet yourself through what arises between you.
• Love as sanctuary & catalyst — how safety and challenge evolve love into something deeper.
• Polarity & play — Keeping things alive and fresh in long term connection.
• Awakening through conflict — “Every rupture is a doorway to deeper truth.”
These episodes are not just teachings but transmissions — an invitation to slow down, listen, and remember that every contraction and challenge in love is a doorway to expansion.

Awakened Intimacy
Ep.01 | Awakening in Relationship — What Brought Us Here & Why It Matters
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In our first episode, we explore what “Awakened Intimacy” really means — how safety, self-awareness, and spiritual growth come together in relationship.
We also trace our path to this work from early workshops to becoming parents and finally refining our work with couples.
We explore how identities and “masks” form; why triggers are invitations; and how to move from contraction into connection.
You’ll hear a candid repair moment from our kitchen; plus a simple framework you can try tonight to shift from defensive patterns into us-ness.
What we cover:
- Seasons of a relationship; evolution of our work; and learning through lived practice
- Why “who is here in me” matters more than “what’s wrong with you”
- A grounded nervous-system lens for conflict; moving from fight/flight/freeze into choice
- The difference between protecting an identity and protecting the relationship
- A gentle way to name parts of us without letting them run the show
- Us-ness over me-versus-you; how repair builds real safety and depth
If this resonated; share one thing that landed and a question you’d love us to explore.
