Why Hype Fails And Discipline Wins

Your calendar is full, your phone never stops, and somehow you still feel behind. We start with a simple question: what would change if you were genuinely unreachable after 8 p.m.? From there, we go into the deeper issue underneath almost every “stuck” season we see in coaching and sales: people keep chasing hype, quick dopamine, and social approval instead of building real discipline and clean boundaries.
We also get candid about faith and culture. When churches try to rebrand hard teachings into whatever is trending, it raises a bigger problem: you cannot build a stable life on a pick-and-choose worldview. We talk surrender, biblical interpretation, and why consistency matters when it costs you something. That thread leads into fatherhood, commitment, and what happens to communities when quitting becomes normal.
Then we hit the modern landmines head-on: porn addiction, social media triggers, and the next wave of temptation with AI girlfriends and on-demand fantasy. If you have ever wondered why motivation disappears the second you are alone with your phone, we lay out the dopamine mechanics in plain language. On the business side, we call out the AI automation gold rush and explain why most of it is duct tape marketed like a Ferrari, plus how real AI tools can amplify A players, shrink bloated sales teams, and even change how people buy cars.
If this sparked something, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a wake-up call, and leave a review with the one boundary you are committing to this week.
Notes, Phones, And Night Boundaries
SPEAKER_02Look, notes. You got notes too. I do. I did pull up some notes. Things to talk about today. We wanted to try and come prepared because we never do. Honestly, when we've been the least prepared is when we've actually done the best on these podcasts. Kind of like that pop-up event we did in Utah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00You know what I did? Huh. I put my notes for the podcast on the other phone. Yeah, the one we're recording off of.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's perfect. Well, great news. I only have one phone. You see, here's the best part about only having one phone is you never lose it like that because it's only the one phone you have in your hand. You know what the phone is. I'll text one of his phones. Here no, hold on. I'll text one of his phones and he won't respond, and then I have to actually go and text the other phone to get a response out of him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Are you texting the least important phone or the important phone? Just one. Just in a group text. Sure. There's only like 10 people that have this number. Maybe 12. And it's awesome because it's eliminated so much distraction, anxiety, stress. Because after 8 o'clock, most people can't get a hold of me. That's actually true. My mom doesn't even have this number. You're hard to get a hold of after 8 o'clock. I feel bad sometimes. But how many times has someone needed to get a hold of you after 8 p.m. that it couldn't wait till the next day?
SPEAKER_02Dude, the other day I had someone calling me at like one or two in the morning. Oh yeah. They called me three times. And I was like, what in the like it woke me up, but I was just like, I looked at my phone and I was like, what in the world? I didn't answer it. I'm just like, what in the world would this person want at three in the morning or two in whatever it was? Multiple times. I've had it happen a few times. Why? It makes zero sense. Like, what are you doing that you're calling? Like, do you do you look outside, you live under a rock, you don't have a clock?
SPEAKER_00They're probably drunk, probably realizing their life sucks. And here's the thing like, yeah, you could be there for them, but every time I've picked up one of those calls, they've usually been intoxicated, so the entire conversation you have is completely wasted. Oh, yeah, I totally did not answer. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I literally let it sit there and I saw it ring, and I was like, okay, and then it rang again.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, unless you live in like the city with me or some crap, and maybe your dumbass got a DUI. I'm not picking up at 2 a.m.
SPEAKER_02I would only pick up for a handful of people at 2 a.m. But this was definitely, it was not someone else gonna pick up the phone for at 2 a.m.
Pride Eucharist And Bible Authority
SPEAKER_00So what did you write down we're gonna talk about? Oh, hold on, we gotta start off big. That like little, not reel I sent you, but picture I sent you. Oh, bro, where they're doing the pride bet. The non-denominational Eucharist.
SPEAKER_02I don't understand that. Uh to each their own and what they want to do, but why? Like, you're going so far away from actually what's going on that you're celebrating that at your church.
SPEAKER_00Well, here's the thing. Yes, you can do, in my opinion, you can do whatever you want. In the Bible's opinion, you can kind of do whatever you want. As far as, you know, Jesus loves everybody, sinner and not sinner. But here's the thing: you can't bring it into the church because of a couple things. One, I mean, in the Old Testament, all over the place, it says a man who lays with a man shall be stoned, and a woman who lays with a woman is garbage.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00In the New Testament, it talks a lot about like what marriage is bringing a man and woman, not man, man, not woman, woman, not wannabe, man, wannabe woman, but true man, biological man, and biological woman together to form one. And here's the other thing, right? There's something in the Bible called fornification and adultery. Both, you know, fornification is sex before marriage, and adultery is sex outside of marriage. Well, you're in a marriage. So both of those acts require the marital act because sex is described in the Bible as the marital act of, you know, later on producing offspring. Like there's reason for the marital act, not just for pleasure. So by being Christian, you can't like here's how the Catholic Church describes it is like because you have the sin in your mind of you know homosexuality, right? Great, everybody sins to a certain degree, but it's when you act on those sins knowingly is where you go wrong.
SPEAKER_02See, I love he's so logical about it. I think it's just I think it's a load of trash. Well, I don't think you should be doing it.
SPEAKER_00No, I think it's a load of trash too.
SPEAKER_02You know, but if you're trying to justify it in church, like I can't I will justify it. It's my opinion, and I don't think you should be doing it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, you your opinion's awesome, but it's even worse or even stronger when you can back up your opinion with facts. Well, yeah, you're just a lot further in that journey than I am. Yeah, and I'm a nerd, and I'm like, why is this bad? You get autistic on the Bible. Well, because some people take out there's a certain passage that talks about how God loves everybody, and which is true, he does, but like it's also human nature to deny a God and to deny Christ, and that's exactly what we do.
SPEAKER_02They don't. They shouldn't. But they do. That's not what it's supposed to be. No, but I'm just telling you, they do. So for the people on this right now who How did we we first we weren't gonna talk about this because it kills our views? No, and now we're like we're gonna talk about this more into it.
SPEAKER_00Here's the thing. I was worried about the views. Here's the thing. We'll get to your crap in a minute. Here's the thing. You can't you cannot pick and choose the Bible, it is not for your interpretation, and that's why I like Catholicism so much, and I've kind of brought you to learn about Catholicism. But one, I mean, it dates its, you know, church back to the year 33 when Peter was given the rock and so on and so forth. But here's the other thing is you have a lot of people that have put in a lot of research to kind of understand the Bible and they come up with a common census. But then you have this thing called Protestant and Martin Luther and Calvin and all that in the 1500s who came out and wanted to change some things up a little bit. They weren't a fan of the Catholic Church, they weren't a fan of the Pope, they weren't a fan of, you know, talking to Saints and asking Mary for prayers and stuff like that. So they're like, oh, let's just change some stuff up a little bit. And here's where That's why I said they're picking and choosing. Yes. Yeah, they're like rewriting rules. Yeah, because when you look at the Protestant denominations, yeah, if you add them all together, they pretty much do everything the Catholic Church does in one way, shape, or form. But each one of them, you know, doesn't do certain things that they don't want to do. And that's not the way the Bible's written. Like when you're a firm believer in surrender, you surrender to the Word of God and you surrender to that book being true and real. So you've you you can't you can't take what you do and don't want to take out of it. You can't read one passage and not relate it to another. And that's what a lot, and I'm not saying all Protestants are bad people or have, you know, ill-informed intentions. I do think the more and more you study Christianity, it'll lead you over to Catholicism. That's a good idea. But I feel like Charlie Cook Kirk 2.0. Me?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we should go down to the campus. I've thought about doing that. We'll videotape it. What do you guys think?
SPEAKER_00I think we should do it. Me debating with people. Oh, totally, dude. I got if you but if you watch Charlie Kirk, I've got to get better at and I'm pretty good at setting people up. But one thing he was really good at was before he would respond, he would usually always ask a question so he could see where they're coming in at. Yeah. Because like a lot of times, like, I mean, the big one that you see all the reels on is the transgenderism.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And he would always ask why in in some way, shape, or form, why are you asking that question? And it was to see where their views came from. Were they religious views? Were they personal views? Was the person trans? Was you know, and he would see where their mind was and then wrap them. So that's something I got to get better at. Because I can definitely go on my little autism deep dive and learn about everything. And I do a pretty good job of retaining it and being able to re-reilliterate it. But I need to get better at identifying where people's views come from because that's gonna make that would make it powerful. I even want to. Next time we see one of those protests in Fountain Hills, you want to go microphone? Yeah, let's go do it. I did bitch out on the last one.
SPEAKER_02I'll go. I know you care. I got no no F's given, dog. Yeah, and I'm getting so much better at not swearing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So much better. I'm getting pretty good at it. Huh? On my Zoom call today, I said the S word once. What's the S word? Shit. Oh bro, I don't even want such a new leaf. But what's crazy is now I'm so aware of it that I can literally tell you how many times I swear in a certain situation.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because every time I do, I'm like, crap! Yeah, I do the same thing. My swearing's gotten way better, though. It used to be really bad. Yeah. So that's what I'm saying is get your crap together. If you say you're a believer, read the freaking Bible. You can't interpret it how you want it. It's written. You know, go out, figure out what it actually means because it is difficult to read. But if you're just getting random interpretations from anywhere and there's no hierarchy or there's no experts that you're lying into, you end up getting them doing a pride Eucharist.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's a dude.
SPEAKER_00I don't, I mean, that that's gotta be like a Lutheran denomination or something. Why don't we find out? I didn't send me the photo. I bet we can have uh Manus can find it. It was it it came up on his actual like you know how Facebook, not non-followers and non-friends now, it just occasionally throws their crap in your feed. So it came up on that. No idea how that got in my algorithm.
SPEAKER_02You know what Jonathan's researching at night for that to pop up.
SPEAKER_00I'm talking talking crap.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Dude, seriously, that's all my phone's gonna be full of now is stuff like this.
SPEAKER_00But here's what I do. Here and here's a tip for everybody who struggles with you know seeing crap they don't want to see. What did I do? I immediately screenshotted the reel to send it to Greg and actually my wife, too, to make fun of it. The algorithm works. And then I click his profile, I don't even look at it, and I click the three little dot things and I hit block. You blocked him. Yeah, because like half the people are gonna go start talking, oh, that's not right. That all you're doing is getting his message out there more and more. Every time you comment, that's not right, that's wrong, blah, blah, blah. Is you get the message out there more and more, and some lost soul is gonna see it and be like, I could buy into this. I wanna because how many people, there's a lot of people out there that want to find God or that are spiritual people and they're trying to figure out what it actually means. And maybe they are a little bit fabulous. The problem is, is they will never be saved from sin if they're told it's okay. Yeah, it's true. It's like you could come to the church and you know, we we we we want to bring on, yeah, the church does want to bring on sinners, and the church understands that you're gonna continue to sin because of human nature, but if you're intentionally sinning, knowing what's right, that's where it gets stupid. That's just defying God. Yeah, and that's a mortal sin. Like it if you know what's right and wrong, and you say you've surrendered to God and you believe in Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, and then you still go out knowingly sinning, saying, ah, you know what, He He's gonna forgive me. No, he I I don't know. He's you know, God's the only one that can at the end of the day decide whether you're going to heaven or hell or purgatory or wherever you're going. But I just think your odds are pretty dang low if you're basically giving them the middle finger with every action that you not every action, but the actions that you take. If you know that you're doing wrong, if you know that, hey, this is the wrong, but it's you know, fun, it's easier, it's the way I feel right now. Like that's literally the the opposite definition of what it is to surrender.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
Pride Month Versus Fatherhood Culture
SPEAKER_00So it's June, by the way. You know what, June? You know what they should make, June? What? Instead of Pride Month, Father's Month. Father's Month. Well, think about it. I'm not gonna say anything on that. Think about it. Not Daddy's Month, weirdos. Because it's, you know, you got Father's Day in June, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Why don't they make it a whole dang month?
SPEAKER_02Why don't they make Mother's Day a whole dang month?
SPEAKER_00Because they could too. But like about Christmas. But here's the thing about Thanksgiving? Dads is there is no statistic. There's so much I can say about that. There's no statistic that shows kids that grow up without a dad live a better life. Higher crime rate? Yeah, you want to alienate a whole culture? How am I gonna alienate a whole culture by having a father's month? What is your opinion here? Why is this so funny? I think this is a great idea.
SPEAKER_02It is a great idea. I'm not just I'm not saying it's not. I'm just saying I go get the milk and I come home.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, I mean, good job. But yeah, I mean, okay, let's talk about that. Bro, that's what I'm saying. Okay, but why? Let's just talk about it. Okay. Why in the African American culture is divorce so high? That is a good question. Because of standards that have been given to them. And what is being passed on and what a man is. And you know, playing that stupid card is is no one forces anyone to get a divorce, no one forces anyone to leave their home. Like that's a decision. And sometimes you just everyone thinks like marriage and kids is like the most peaceful thing in the world. And that it's gonna be rainbows and shit every single day, and you're gonna be you're not gonna be in love every day. You've got to continue to find love, you've gotta continue to chase it. Yeah, but there's gonna be days you wanna leave. There's gonna be days you don't want to put up with some crap or you disagree with something.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And you gotta get through that. You gotta grow, you gotta get better. Well, but we've made this culture where it's like, hey, you could just get a divorce for shits and giggles.
SPEAKER_02I don't think it's that. I don't think it's even that though, man. I don't think it's that their divorce rate is so high in the African-American community. It is.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's I shouldn't say divorce rate.
SPEAKER_02I think there's some other things like some other underlying things besides just divorce rate. Wanna go into those? Shh I get. We're I guess we're going there. This is gonna be the underground podcast, but this will probably get more views. I think it's it's having children outside of wedlock. Yep. And then the father's just like, hey, I got no commitment, I can leave whenever. And then they abuse the the financial systems of having multiple kids, and they're they sit there and say, Oh, if I have four kids, I get X money from the government. They live in Section 8, they're actually doing pretty well, they're getting by, they got their seven kids, and it's just like it's seven kids from seven different dads.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, and and this isn't just a African-American problem. I mean, there's white freaking trash. I mean, look at West Virginia. Y'all really bringing the team down people. It's the same. It's the same.
SPEAKER_02It's it's you have like white trash that are doing the same nonsense as we would call them white trash, and you got African-American people do it. The only people that I really don't know that do it are like the Asian culture. Dude, the Asian culture is on fire.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the Asian culture is rocking, man. You know? Like, and but here's the thing about the Asian culture is there actually is a severe level of poverty in the Asian culture, but the Asians that are doing well don't try to bring them up. They're like, Yeah, you guys, you guys just keep hiding, please. Like, we we don't need you. Like, we want we want to be representative, good great.
SPEAKER_02That's why I don't think we should have a whole Father's Day month.
SPEAKER_00And that's we want to make all the holidays a month as you know, like Christmas and Yeah, I and I say that facetiously only to say that like we need to get rid of all the stupid crap in our society. Like the homosexual pride month thing, what is that? Like less than two percent of our population. And I and I think that and it's I think a lot of it's a mental health thing, especially for men. Yeah, we've talked about that before too, a lot.
SPEAKER_02It's a majority of it is mental health,
Porn, Dopamine, And AI Girlfriends
SPEAKER_02but instead we're putting it all over the place. Or people get lost and like they don't know how to handle rejection, so they come out like he won't see this, so I'm not gonna say his name. I have a friend who was married to a girl, a girl, and then came out as gay, and then now is like I'm bi. And I'm like, bro, pick a lane. You know, like can you pick a struggle? Like, but I don't understand how you go from being attracted to women and in a marriage, and like when you have kids and do all this stuff, and then he's like comes out and he's like, and I don't know where he sits now because I haven't talked to him about it in a while. But like him and his boyfriend find like broke up, and even when he was with his boyfriend, he's like, I kind of like girls. I'm like, I think you're just confused. I don't think you're acting like I don't think you're actually gay. I think you're just going through a lot, you're confused, you don't know how to handle the pressure. You had a failed relationship, so then all of a sudden you're like, I think I'm gay. Like, it's you know, I just don't understand it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you're lost. You don't yeah, you don't know what it is. You, you know, your mind, I mean, especially in today's world with pornography and stuff. When you were 15 years old, you were looking at porn and you know, everything's on the table nowadays, it's all out in the open, they're out of the freaking closet, you see whatever, you get lost, and you're like destroys people, man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're like, what's the easiest way I could get some? Yeah, totally. Or even not even that, but I think it gets people to fantasize about things that aren't like healthy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, aren't healthy, aren't normal, aren't natural.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's just humans are sinners, so they're gonna go down.
SPEAKER_02It's so easy to access it too. Like you can just jump on a website. You can't in Arizona anymore because of the new laws. Like, you have to like do age verification.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's kind of cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that past I can't remember, it's a few months back. You have to like verify your age. So you have to like scan a driver's license or something. Really? But yeah, a lot of states are moving towards that. They should be. But I don't, you know, I don't understand the whole porn thing, I guess. I mean, I used to watch it back in the day, but every guy did, but then when you realize how horrible it is for you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Like we and and we were told that it was just finding your body and figuring out what you're no, you no, it's not. It's them trying to corrupt your mind.
SPEAKER_02I was told that like that's where all the hot women are at, is on porn.
SPEAKER_00No, we were. I mean, you never you never watched like uh uh there was that talk show.
SPEAKER_02Dude, you guys remember HBO when it used to be late night. Yeah, and you got the slight after nine o'clock.
SPEAKER_00Huh? Yeah, you got the squiggly porn.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was like blurry.
SPEAKER_00Did you have HBO?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, you had or Cinemax after hours, like after dark at like 10 o'clock at night, and it'd be like super soft pulled porn.
SPEAKER_00Lucky like a nipple would hang out and you could see it with the biggest.
SPEAKER_02And then you you had the cable box, you could go buy actual porn on it for like 15 bucks, you could buy a video.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02When we were growing up, like and then these kids got Napster and the internet and Kazab.
SPEAKER_00It just came out everywhere online and it's easy and it's it's just you could Google it and there's no restrictions for it. Yeah, you know, look what it look what it's done to man. I mean, you got freaking OnlyFans. You got like I've literally probably once a month get on the phone with someone who is married, who is in serious financial debt, and they can't tell their wife about it because they spend a bunch of money on OnlyFans. Dude, it's crazy.
SPEAKER_02It's more than once a month because as Andy's content, if you as you've watched it and how it's evolved, and he puts those videos out that say stop watching porn, because I know you you and I get a lot of those leads, we'll get 15 to 20 leads off of that. Yeah, daily. And it's just like, bro, it's like, bro, you're so lost. Yeah, many.
SPEAKER_00How do I stop watching porn? It's easy, but but how stop going to the website. How many of these people are struggling with almost like that?
SPEAKER_02It's financial, it's family, it's porn, it's their marriage, it's their kids. Like they but then they tie it back because they saw that real, and they're like, porn's why I'm like I'm struggling more else. And I'm like, do you go to the gym? Do you drink? Do you smoke? Do you do these things? And they do everything. Like they do drugs, and it's like porn's like the cherry on top of the whole sun.
SPEAKER_00Porn is what is what keeps you hooked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's that dopamine hit.
SPEAKER_00It's that quick dopamine hit. It takes, for some of you, 35 seconds. Like it's just a quick dopamine hit. It takes no effort. You're gonna get a win every single time, and then you're gonna feel the crack back.
SPEAKER_02You probably enjoy it more. Whatever. You know, no one's ever actually finished a full video. No, dude. It's like you see those ones that are like 10 minutes long, you're like, give me three. I don't got time to feel like shit all day. I don't got time for this, dog. Give me the three-minute like, man. It's just give me the cliff notes. Throw it into manis and shorten it up for me, dog. We've never talked about it.
SPEAKER_00Putting porn into my manis.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But but that's my own channel. But that's what all these bar is they can't and it you can keep going back. I mean, it it it starts with social media. Dude, have you seen?
SPEAKER_02I I sent it to you uh like two weeks ago. The AI girlfriends you can make now, and they're like, they come up on Facebook as ads, and they'll say literally, they'll say, I can do anything you want, and that's like seductive voice. And it's like, what is like you don't even need to go to like a porn site anymore. You can just go and ask it to do whatever you need it to do.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, when that happens, what do men have? They have nothing to chase, nothing to build for, nothing to go hit the gym for. They're just you know, but here's the thing is that happens in your 20s, and then we're talking to all these 35, 40 year olds who are still struggling with these exact same problems, who are still addicted to I mean, and it's it's crazy. Yeah, dude, it's it's it's crazy. I did a I did a random live call the other day, and I was talking about discipline in the Bible, and then I had someone hit me up within 24 hours. Yeah. And apparently after my call, which I was talking about, how you know porn and the freaking internet has completely controlled your mind, text me and they're like, hey, you know, I just want to, you know, come out and admit, like right after your call, I started looking at Instagram and that wanted to led one thing to the other. And I'm like, dude, your your your addiction is so bad that I could rip on it, you could agree with me, you could have enough balls to actually text me and tell me you screwed up. Yeah. Yet what what in the 15 minutes of your Instagram scrolling, nothing in your mind stopped you?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's it's kind of like accountability over
Accountability Over Hype And Excuses
SPEAKER_02hype. And I know people jump on our calls a lot because we host a lot of the calls in our community. And I get text messages and Instagram DMs and stuff, and people are like, I'm gonna change, I'm gonna change. And it's like the next day you're back to doing the same stuff.
SPEAKER_00Well, because they're trying to keep that freaking hype, they're trying to keep that that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's like it's like that reel that I shot of that of Michael at the gym or not at the gym. It's the same thing. He's like all hype. He's like trying, pulls out a whiteboard trying to tell me why he can't go to the gym with us in the morning. I'm like, bro, people pay thousands of dollars to be in proximity to us, and you can the problem is he can do it for free. Yeah. The problem is we're not charging his ass to come to the gym with us. We're not charging him to be around the den. He just gets to do it for free. So then he takes advantage of it and tries to sell me on why he shouldn't go to the gym at five o'clock in the morning with us and be around us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, I mean, yeah, we're there. I mean, you're there five, I'm there five thirty ish.
SPEAKER_02Four forty five, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Whatever. But like also, I mean, not just him, but there's another gal that you've been around, and she's talking about going there all the freaking time.
SPEAKER_02That story this morning was pro I was Honestly, I was shocked that she showed up to the gym because first she bought a ticket to come to July and she wanted to do accountability. So a month ago, we set up accountability. She followed it for like a week and then fell off. And then she kind of like floated away like a little dust particle. She came back and she went to the bodybuilding show with me on Saturday with Bryson and Maria. And she's like, came back to the den afterwards. We did an accountability thing, and she's like, I want to make 45 days. I'm like, girl, you can't handle like you can't handle one. Why am I gonna plan a whole 45 days for you? So we did seven days. And the first day, her job is to wake up and come to the gym. And what doesn't she do? She doesn't wake up and come to the gym.
SPEAKER_00So let me ask you Day one. Because I know my answer, because everybody out there, you got the accountability versus the hype, and everybody out there is chasing the hype train. That's why porn's so big, Instagram reel is so big, all that is there. How how much during the day, and you're one of the high producers at our company, how much during the day are you actually hyped up and motivated to do your job? 10%. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like a light switch. It's like when I get on a Zoom or I got clients in the office.
SPEAKER_00Not even the Zoom the whole time. During the like during report building and stuff, I'm just listening, I'm pulling it in. And the only time I really get hype is when I'm like, dude, we have a solution that'll change your entire time I get hyped up is when they tell me I need to talk to my wife about the decision I'm about to make.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And I would never say that ever when I'm buying something. I'll be real. I will never say I have to talk to my wife. Like, I will whip out the Amex. Like, my fitness coach hit me up the other day for $2K. He's like, hey, you got another, you want to do another six months? I'm like, bro, I got three months left with you. He's like, yeah, I know, but like you want to do another six? How fast do you think I made that decision? Boom, paid it. Did he offer you a deal? Huh? Did he offer you a deal? No, dude. I think he charged me more than he did the first time. Honestly, I didn't care. He just he's like, you want to piff or do monthly payments? I don't believe in the monthly shit. I was like, Piff. Except for, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00Except for except for new AI stuff. Go monthly. Because I only use it for a month. Yeah, because then there's a new AI platform. But no, you're right though. Not once. And call me out if I'm wrong, because I've bought a lot of cars and I bought stuff, but not once have I ever said I need to talk to my wife. I I I helped Nicolette find a car.
SPEAKER_02You know, the gal from Australia? And I get on the phone with the guy. I'm like, I'm easy to deal with. I sold cars for a long time. Just get her a good deal. I used manus to look at the biggest discounts in town. I found them. They had some crazy accessories, so it kind of made up the difference. And I was like, dude, just take like I was like, easy sale, $500. You are, you are what you get. So when you have these sales guys reach out to us and they're giving us the objection, I don't have the money.
SPEAKER_01I gotta talk to my spouse. I need to think about it. You wonder why you get objections because you do them in life. It's like it doesn't, it doesn't, the math ain't mathing. You're giving me the objection you get.
SPEAKER_00You don't believe that you're ever gonna close the sale and you're gonna get right there to the same place. But I mean, I I oh I love that one. I need to talk to my wife. It's like, really? Does she know you're struggling and elusional?
SPEAKER_02You know you're jerking off every night to freaking Sally in Indonesia, bro. What are you gonna talk to her about?
SPEAKER_00I have a porn addiction, I need help. And and here's the thing maybe you should have been doing that a year ago.
SPEAKER_02Dude, and they've been trying to fix it for three years. They're like, it's happened since COVID. I'm like, COVID was like four years ago.
SPEAKER_00I've honestly, when I get hit with that objection, I used to smash it. I've got 50 objection handlers for that, and I can usually get through it. I don't even use objection handlers anymore. I've honestly quit even responding to that because I've noticed anyone who says that, nine times out of ten, is the least coachable person in the world.
SPEAKER_02And I don't want to coach them.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02I've in the last two years, just the change in my mindset from when I first came down here, I wanted to help everybody. Remember, I was on like 15 Zoom calls a day. I'm doing all this stuff, I'm signing all these people up to like 299 and 199s and 99s and the 999s. It was the worst time of my life because I was coaching people who didn't want to be coached. And I was getting people to make a decision and pushing them to make a decision they didn't want to make. And honestly, what I figured out, this is more about my happiness and their happiness. And if I'm not happy coaching you, I'm a not fun. Yeah, it's not fun.
SPEAKER_00I I've gotten to the, I mean, I've gotten to that same point where if you start giving me a bunch of BS, I'll I'll try to work you through it. But after a certain time, I'm like, dude, if it's this much of a fight, you you you say you want it, but all you do is want the thing. And what's gonna happen?
SPEAKER_02It's gonna end up being like Serenity, who skips the gym. Yeah, and I do a seven-day plan, and she doesn't choke to the first one.
SPEAKER_00And I'm just like, I don't need your freaking money because you're gonna be sad and complain.
SPEAKER_02Yes. And it's just you just get over it. So over it, man. And it's like, remember I told you two weeks ago I found like this peace, like this calm. Yeah. And I swear that's what it is, man. Like between reading the Bible more and not even caring about I care about the people, but I don't even care about the money. I'm just like, are you do you want to do this? Are you coachable? Yes, you're in. Okay, cool. Here's the invoice. You pay it quick. That tells me everything I need to know. If I have to chase you down and hunt you down and try and overcome 50 objections, I don't even want to do it. No. I'm out.
SPEAKER_00But that's the thing, is most people just want the hype. They want the fun. And then you and you get and the problem with the self-development coaching industry is there are coaches that are out there fighting for like the the high-ticket closer space. You know, how to handle every objection. And okay, it freaking works, but in a coaching space, like if you're hitting me with too many objections, you're not gonna be a successful client.
SPEAKER_02Because until you're gonna refund, you're gonna charge back, you're gonna get set up on a payment plan, you're not gonna finish.
SPEAKER_00Well, there's a new thing people are talking a lot about in the coaching space. It's self-awareness before self-development. Because you have to be self-aware of your BS, you have to be self-aware of it's execution over information. Yeah, I'm tired of living this way, I'm tired of jerking off every night, I'm tired of drinking, I'm tired of not putting up the money I deserve, blah, blah. I'm tired of making excuses. Because if you're not self-aware and you just think, you know, the world's out to get you, the economy, or or you know, pornography is not that bad. It's not hurt.
SPEAKER_01My boss doesn't like me, Jonathan. What do I do?
SPEAKER_00All that crap. Then if you don't have the self-awareness and the balls to change, then it's pointless. It's like what was that book?
SPEAKER_02It's a lot of compatibility. Extreme ownership, extreme ownership. Yeah, dude. You're the problem, but you're also solution.
SPEAKER_00You're the problem to everything.
SPEAKER_02And you look in the mirror. Honestly, I think we're gonna have more less people reach out to us if they saw this. I think you'll have some real. But it would be good. I would be excited because you stop getting the people that are hyped up, like, yeah, or the people that are just like, poor me, poor me. Oh, there's a number, let me call it. And then you ask them to make a decision and they're like freeze like a deer in the headlights. Yep. And then they get smacked by the car.
SPEAKER_00Or you give them some advice because they are in a spat situation, and then they call you two weeks later, they haven't done a single thing of it. Dude, isn't that the worst? I just it's the worst. But it's the worst, but it also gives me a level of like, okay, am I willing to invest in you before you invest in yourself? Because there are some people out there that need some help. So what I do, and this is a little thing, and if you take this and you're like, oh, I will do that to have them help me, totally cool. That's the point of it. But like, if I get off a call and I truly feel that you just, you know, maybe you don't have the money. Maybe, maybe you really need to talk to your wife because she's got you in the handcuffs and she doesn't trust the thing that you do because you've screwed up a lot. I will give you like a two-week or a month-long task. Hey, I want you to do this, I want you to read this, I want you to log into this. No, but it saves me a lot of time. I don't follow up with them. So it when they call me back, my first question, did you do that? No, well, why are you calling me back?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, usually if they call you back, they did it, though. Yeah, if they call you back. They if they didn't call you, if they don't call you, they're not gonna call you back that they didn't do it. But if they do it, you know, it's it saved me a time.
SPEAKER_00Wild, dude. And then when they do call me back, it's like, oh, easy deal. Because they already know what to expect, they've already done some of the work. Maybe they're not ready to put the money up or invest in anything right then and there, but at least we can, you know, okay, cool. Now you need to get your money up. Now you need to start saving, now you need to quit spending. Now you need to do it.
SPEAKER_02And then you ask them, you're like, hey, what'd you do last weekend? Oh, I went out and partied, and you're like, bro, totally missed the ball.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna cut that crap off.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, totally missed the ball, dude. But yeah. It's crazy. I love it. Self-awareness. I love the direction that we're companies moving right now,
Speaking Live And Building Confidence
SPEAKER_02too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's fun, dude. Well, it makes you happier because you're, I mean, you're kind of doing the same thing of like, like you just said, reading the Bible, figuring out like what religion actually means to you, not just what you're told.
SPEAKER_02I'm so much more chill the past like two weeks.
SPEAKER_00Isn't it crazy? Yeah, how much the Bible could just chill you the hell out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I was on, we went to Utah last week, and I was actually nervous that we had to speak in front of people because I didn't prepare anything.
SPEAKER_00Neither did I.
SPEAKER_02I have I didn't have and I ripped for like 45 minutes, but I had zero.
SPEAKER_00But we didn't intentionally do that. It just the weeks got put together real fast. And we both got there and like, dude, you know we're both speaking in like 45 minutes. We had the room. We're room booked at least. We we had the room booked, we had everything, and then we we sat down to eat because we were just we'd been running, we needed to eat, and we're like, I don't know, two maybe two and a half hours, two hours before it started, and we're like, you know the kind of confidence that gives you though?
SPEAKER_02Because how many people, and especially people even watching this, won't be able to get in front of 30 to 40 people and be able to rip like that for 45 minutes. That's true. You know what I'm saying? It gives you this new belief that you didn't have.
SPEAKER_00So you weren't prepared, but I mean you've been preparing for it. Because you rip probably two hours of live Zoom calls a week minimum. Yeah, I totally do. You do a lot of coaching calls, like so you you know the material, just maybe getting out and speaking in front of people in person. Honestly, people in person, you realize it's it's way easier because you get them to like engage.
SPEAKER_02Unlike on a zoom call, when I'm on a zoom and half the cameras are off, and I only have like 30 people to engage with, and you're trying to ask questions, you're gonna raise your hand, drop a one in the chat, whatever it may be. You know, there they couldn't they couldn't escape, they could not escape not answering a question because you could sit there and be like, you, what are you struggling with? And they're like, Me? I'm like, Yes, you, you, the one pointing. They can't say that you can't avoid it, they can't hide, they can't just turn the camera off and be a little shadow player.
SPEAKER_00I like in person, and we're gonna be doing that a lot more. So if you want to come out to a free event, there's one probably coming over to you in the near future. I think we're gonna do a roadshow.
SPEAKER_02I'm totally down to do a roadshow. You know what I was actually thinking of the other day? Getting an RV. No, this is what I was thinking of. Oh, Jeremy Minor actually has an event in July, and we should go do a pop-up event today before his event out there. What day? It's July 11th. So if we flew out the tent, we could do a pop-up event in the 10th. Well, we already have one planned for July 11th. I know, but I'm thinking we start to look at these other guys' events and then we actually piggyback them and do a free pop-up. We don't even go to the event, we just do a freaking Andy Elliott pop-up.
SPEAKER_00That's real smart. So if you're listening to this podcast, you're getting some inside information.
SPEAKER_02I was thinking about this last week, and I was like, I need to talk to Jonathan about this because I think that'd be gold.
SPEAKER_00That's one of those things, though, that if you listen to a podcast to just get a couple quick hits, you're like, yeah, whatever. Dude, that's real good information.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that's solid. I've been in this whole like small networking, and I think networking events are kind of dumb, but a pop-up event like this where it's not networking, where we're just coaching people for like a couple hours, and we have Andy's brand, dude. We're gonna get it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the brand helps a lot, and just being able to give value for two hours.
SPEAKER_02What's gonna be awesome is when we get someone like Daniel G or Jeremy to freaking message Andy and be like, why are you throwing events and you know where I'm at? You know, next door every time. Dude, no, a dead ass. Like in the same hotel. We'll do a pop-up event the day before. That's smart. It's just like what we did in Utah, except that was like Hotens' event. That was kind of ours. Well, not whatever. I'm talking like it at all. Dude, I'm saying like we go to Grant Cardones, we go to PBDs, we go to Daniel G's, we go to freaking Jeremy Miners. Dude, totally, because that's our audience too. And then we're just we're flying for a day, we'll run the event, we'll fly out that night, we'll get 50 to 100 contacts.
SPEAKER_00Well, and here's the thing, and I'm gonna talk a little bit of crap. The speakers of our company, even and I'm not talking Andy and Jackie, yeah, but just a lot of our coaches speak better than half these people. Yeah, and they'll be blown away. All right, let's it's it's true.
SPEAKER_02Plus, we'll be into a smaller setting and stuff, dude. But that's the play I was thinking about the last couple weeks.
SPEAKER_00We advertise it, we arrived the day early. Day early, you're just walking around the event area, shaking hands, inviting them to. Totally, dude. Because we're gonna host it at the same hotel they're having the event at.
SPEAKER_02Because the conference rooms, if you guys are afraid to do an event like this, like what we're talking about, that conference room cost me $500. I paid half. He did pay half. I did get my half in there. $250 with Jonathan's half, okay, is what it cost us. And what's crazy, it wasn't fancy. We didn't have like nothing. People just like showed up. No, it was like auditorium. It was auditorium style, like university style. Yeah, it was weird. Yeah, so they were sitting above us and we were down the in the row. But for $500, we found some really good clients. We made some really good connections. Yeah. And it's something that no one else in the office is doing except the twins. And I learned it from the twins when I went to New York, and I was like, okay, this is the play. Yeah, and what's crazy, I've done it before, it's quit doing it for years. Yeah, and now he's gonna start doing it, and we're gonna travel. So if you want us to travel to your city, first look for an event that's there.
SPEAKER_00And it better not be California, because I'm not I'm not going to California.
SPEAKER_02I will go. I'm thinking Florida, I'm thinking Texas, I'm thinking like Chicago in the summer. We haven't been to Midwest for a long time, dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Chicago might be okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we're thinking of places that we haven't been to for a long time. And not California. Yeah, not California or Oregon. I won't do Oregon.
SPEAKER_00No. I won't do Oregon. What's crazy, if you look at the demographic of our clients, none. Very, very small from Oregon and Washington.
SPEAKER_02But I'm totally, I'm thinking like Texas, Florida, like the Midwest somewhere, whether Kansas City, Chicago, maybe. But we're gonna do a traveling tour this summer, and we're gonna do pop-up events, and we're gonna base it off. That's a good way to get out of Phoenix. It's a great way, and I think going to places that are already having events that we're not at is gonna help increase the audience. That's smart. See?
SPEAKER_00So you just got a million dollars of idea right there if you happen to listen to the podcast. What else do you got? Because we weren't, I don't think we were talking about anything.
SPEAKER_02We haven't talked about anything on our notes. We've just been ripping for the last almost like we're coming up on 45 minutes. Let's see. Let me make sure we're still recording. I'll be right back. I dude, I hope we're recording this. If we're not recording this, I just dropped all that sauce for nothing.
SPEAKER_00I was more worried because if you don't know, because we don't have a temperature thing, it's about 108 right now. It is. I'm sweaty. Luckily, the sun's up there, so we don't have to do the sun down. I'm in these pants.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Flag Norfail, Rob Bailey, they're awesome. I'm sweaty. So and I got pants on. We're bringing this podcast to you from the heat of Phoenix. 108 outside. People are like, how do you do it at 108? I'm like, you know what? It's actually not that bad.
SPEAKER_00No, it's not. If the sun, in about two hours when the sun's there, it's brutal right here, but yeah, but it's not right now. But we get more views when we do it out here than we do anything else. Well, because people think this is a fake background and they're like, oh, you guys are so fake.
SPEAKER_02Hey, welcome to the Airbnb. It's the green screen. We got an Airbnb, ha. Same Airbnb every week. Yeah, it's funny. We should come mature your house sometime. My blackstone's still over here, too.
SPEAKER_00I got two of them. I got three total. Because Jesse's is over here. That's kind of
Pop-Up Events And Roadshow Strategy
SPEAKER_00funny.
SPEAKER_02So, what was the okay? Let me just let me go.
SPEAKER_00I I lost my list.
SPEAKER_02The notes, the notes were good. Everyone selling AI automation is selling you duct tape and calling it a Ferrari, which I fully believe because everyone thinks her AI automation is the absolute best. And all these people reach out to Andy, wanted to do freaking collabs and Rev share and all this nonsense for their AI stuff. But their AI stuff is like very similar to anything else I've seen. There's nothing that's like absolutely blown me away. The only things that have is Claude and Manis. That's it. But those are AI platforms. I know, but you can build on any AI automation. Like when I use Apollo and I use instantly to do cold email outreach, not blown away. I'm using a product now called Fuse AI for LinkedIn automations. And
AI Automation Hype Versus Reality
SPEAKER_02it's actually like I haven't gotten banned yet, so it's been working. I'm like 50-50 on it because I haven't gotten any prospects from it. I have increased how many people I'm following, but I haven't, it hasn't brought me a single loop.
SPEAKER_00So the thing with AI, people need to understand is it can't replace what you're good at. Dude, I'm good at everything. It could only help you grow. But if you don't understand what you're doing and you're just trying to make and here's the thing about a lot of those AI outreach, it's just some kid that freaking typed into some stuff. Like I I've worked with a handful of people this last couple months, and they have this like idea they want to release an app and this and that. They're trying to go through an app developer, and the app developers, you know, charge them 60, 100, or you know, thousand more dollars. And I'm like, dude, your app is simple, just build it on AI in 30 minutes. Yeah. But there's the other issue with that is you got a lot of people out there building an app on AI in 30 minutes and then trying to sell it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they sell it though, that's a problem because they're they just they they hype it up so much, man. And that's why I said for AI not to do year-long subscriptions and say the 17 or 30 percent, whatever, unless it's like half off, then I do it for the year because I could I could use it for six months. I signed up for cloud for the year, but it was like 200 bucks for the year. But that's why I just don't sign up for the whole year because in my head, the AI game is so fast and changing, and there's and I follow Brian Mark a lot, which he has really good content, but he's the one that taught me how to use sandcastles and claw and use the Chrome extension to look at your Instagram profile. It just is so it's evolving so fast. Like I remember I used to use Poppy AI for a lot of my scripting. Yeah, I have a lifetime subscription. I have a lifetime subscription. It was only $1,700. Why would you not do it? That's what I pay a month for all my other subs. But I used to use it to write all my Zoom call scripts out because it really did a very good job doing it. The only thing I I don't I used to use it for a lot of stuff. Remember all the stuff I built for high-ticket sales and everything? That was all through Poppy. I don't even use Poppy anymore for any of that. All it does is script out my zoom calls. I haven't used Poppy in months.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it just scripts out my Zoom. Cloud once I build my profile in cloud.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Cloud's really good. I use Claude and Manaus a lot, and that's really the perplexity.
SPEAKER_00What's your manus right now? I'm on 300 a month. Dude, I'm up to 600.
SPEAKER_02Jeez. I had one project burn 20,000 credits. Yeah, I am like, I'm even building something right now because you can use it. Well, what I like about it is you can use it on your phone. Yeah. You don't have to actually be connected to the PC to do it. But all these like little young gurus are hitting us up for their AI. And honestly, I just ignore them. I try to use it because you just honor you just never know what could be a super hit and super miss. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing about AI, is you kind of got to keep trying stuff. I think AI will is gonna help reduce sales staff though. Crappy salespeople.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, it's gonna weed out the lazy ones. It's gonna lead out the lazy ones, the ones that are just sending text messages for follow-up because AI can do all that.
SPEAKER_02AI is gonna do all of it for you. You know, I actually think it will benefit a lot of people because I think AI, I've I've always kind of been a believer that I would rather run leaner as a sales staff and have a bunch of A players than flood my floor with like 30 people and have a bunch of B C D players. It will give me the ability to run with 10 A players and do the same production as 30 people as well.
SPEAKER_00Well, and here's where AI comes in with your A players is it gives them an easier ability to do the stuff they don't like doing. Fulfillment, freaking creating. Like, as long as you learn to prompt AI semi-correctly, you can get a lot of crap done. You can get a ton done. You just have to know what you're doing and how to prompt it.
SPEAKER_02And me, though, as a sales leader, I would much rather take that many people from I'd rather run with 10 guys that I can go to battle with every single day versus a staff of 30. And I think that's where it's going. Yeah. The bet there's uh there's two sides of the coin though, right? Is yes, it's gonna be AI dependent, but second off, my A players are gonna actually be able to make a better income for their families. Yeah. And if you're not an A player, you gotta figure out what's stopping you from being an A player. No more like B and C players making five to ten grand a month and just coasting by. It's gonna be just A players. No, they'll get yeah, they'll get replaced. And I'm totally good, I'm good with it. I'm not saying I'm an A player, I'm just good with it because that's how I would rather run. You're a solid B minus. Yeah, like I'm like a B C. I'm a C on a good day, I'm a C during a pop-up event, is what I am. I see the show.
SPEAKER_00Well, and being an A player is also what you put into your product as well. Totally is. Because I mean that's that's a long-term play, is what your reputation becomes. And hey, look, an airplane. What your reputation becomes. See, this green screen is getting sweet. This is a 360 green screen. But yeah, it's it's your reputation, it's uh you know how well you actually deliver, you know, do you do what you say you're gonna do? Because that's gonna be the the long run of what people are is trust.
Trust, Reputation, And Sales In Public
SPEAKER_00It was like my Zoom call today. I was taught car salesman. I was like, dude, you could be a crappy car salesman, you could take the shortcut, screw people over, do all that. But I go, your name's gonna get on the internet. And I go, once your name's on the internet, you're screwed in today's world. Because I mean, I Google, if I'm gonna make a big purchase, I usually Google the salesperson. Or if they do one thing I find a little bit goofy, it definitely triggers me to Google them. And if I see that you've got a locked up Instagram or a locked up Facebook, I just assume that you're a sleaze bag and you don't want people knowing who you are. Typically, you can go find reviews of salespeople if they've been anywhere long enough, or the last place they worked, or honestly, if I don't like the vibe of the salesperson, I don't even look them up.
SPEAKER_02I just go find a different salesperson. I'm pretty like direct. So I won't when I was helping Nicolette find a car, I reached out to like two or three dealerships. And because it all that remember I said the discount's kind of all the same. The two other guys I just didn't like. Like when I tried to tell them, hey, I was in the business for 10 years, can you just make this easy? They still tried to drag me down the whole sales process. They didn't listen. They were like, We gotta come in and drive it. I said, no. I said, no, dude, I'm not coming into the dealership. She's already driven it, I've already looked it up, I already know the stock number. Like, just get me a price on it. Yeah. And then they wouldn't get me a price. They weren't wanted me to come.
Using AI To Buy Cars Smarter
SPEAKER_02I was like, just have your manager call me. Guess what never happened? Never called. Never got the call. I did that.
SPEAKER_00I'm out, dog. Brittany wanted an Audi, I think it was like a Q7 or something years ago, and I contacted an Audi dealer in Portland because they didn't have one down in Salem. Explain to them what I did. I wasn't trying to, you know, be a sleaze ball or anything. I'm like, hey, here's kind of what I got. By the way, I run a dealership down here in Salem. This is the number I'll buy my car for. If you guys want it for an extra nickel, by all means take it in on trade. If not, because Oregon doesn't have any tax savings or anything. So it's like, dude, if you guys want to give me an extra 500 bucks, freaking buy the car. If not, I'll buy it myself. Not a big deal. Or my dealer will. And go to the Audi dealership. They have nothing prepared. They want to go through the whole process again. And I was like, nope, I'm out of here. Later, guys.
SPEAKER_02And you know what's funny about that? Is people wonder why Carvana is winning with these Stilanta stores. We have one of them here in Phoenix, you know that, right? Carvana? A CDJR Chrysler store was bought, I think, in the world. Well, Carvana's headquarters are here.
SPEAKER_00Huh? Carvana's headquarters.
SPEAKER_02I know, but they bought a Stylanta store here. And Stylanta store was selling 35 cars a month a year ago. You know what they sold last month? What? 729. It makes sense. Make it easy for people. Yeah, it's it's frustrating, you know, that it was like the same song and dance. And anytime someone ever called into the dealership and they Had any sense of what they were doing, just take care of them. Even and I'm not saying take advantage of people who don't know what they're doing, but when someone comes in and is very direct and how they want to be handled and treated, don't stick to the process. Like bend the process and bend the rules. Yeah. Because they lost the sale because I'm easy.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was the same way. I don't even think it's so easy, dude. The last 10 cars I bought have literally been here's what I want. I know you guys have it, don't need to test drive it. Can you make this deal happen? Yep. And I don't, I don't even like you. I asked for maybe 500 bucks off. If it's I asked for an extra 500. And they were like, yeah, we can do that. So okay, cool. Just to feel like you get some win, you tell me that. And if I'm financing it, okay, cool. Send me a credit app.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Can you have all the paperwork ready?
SPEAKER_02I think the kid thought when I first started talking about it, it's like kind of full of crap. But then I was like, I understood. I was like, hey, what are the accessories? What are this? I know what the cost of those are. Like we started to have those kind of conversations, and eventually, like, I was like, hey, just have your manager call me. And 10 minutes later, the manager called me.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02And it was an easy deal. Yeah, you make it 30 minutes. Dude, it was not hard to do. This is all I do. I already know what I want. Don't need a test drive it. Don't really care. I've worked in the industry. But that's how dealers, and I know we're, dude, we're on the sidetrack completely. But that's how dealers, if they want to save themselves, that's how they're going to win. It's not, I understand the road to the sale. I understand dealers want to follow that. Yes, probably half the customers you need to do the road to the sale for because either they they don't know, they're looking across multiple brands. Yes, follow the road to the sale. But the customers that are coming in that are educated, that know exactly what they want, like I was shocked by this. I used Manaus to help find her for the car.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I said, look at the Phoenix area, find the best deal on this car for the best price. And Manis literally showed me every car in that color and the trim options and the price and where the best deal was at. So if you're not priceful on the internet from the rip, you're not even gonna get looked at.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And you also need to understand, people are using AI for everything now. Dude, it's the easiest way to find a car deal.
SPEAKER_02Because I've had people with coaches tell me it's like everyone's bringing me the link to the car. I clicked the link, took me right to the link onto the car on their website. Yep. I didn't have to do anything. I didn't have to do any research. I didn't have to go to you know what's you know what's funny though? You know who this is gonna kill? Car gurus. You don't need car gurus anymore. No, it'll do more. And car gurus, because you pay to play with car gurus. Yeah, I got it. This is an unpaid, unpaid third-party website that will give you the best deal on any car. Yeah. I looked up used car values on it. I've looked up what trade appraisal should be worth. It's nuts, man. Sales managers, you're in trouble too. You better get good. Dude, or just use mana to desk your deals. I mean, seriously. It could. But that's you like dude. We could build a desking app. Dude, you don't need uses AI. Yeah, you don't need car, you don't need, you don't need Carfax anymore because you put them in it. It tells you literally everything from all the police reports, everything that Carfax collects, and Manus is doing it for free. These dealers are paying hundreds of thousands a month for freaking Carfax and for freaking car gurus. Get rid of it and pay for a subscription from Manis and let your people actually use Mana on your website to look up your car deals. And you'll save thousands, tens of thousands of dollars a month.
SPEAKER_00That's kind of a that's kind of a good idea.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I know, right? Dude, this is a melting pot of ideas right now. So, car dealers out there just pay Manis for the API integration and have it on your website and challenge Manaus to go find and beat any car deal you have.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because that makes use car managers next to useless. Makes everything next to useless. What everybody needs to take from this is get really good at what you do. Dude, totally, man. Because if you're not, I mean, you just replaced 80% of jobs in a deal.
SPEAKER_02You know that idea I just came up with? You know when I came up with that idea while you were doing it? While we were talking. See, we need to shoot more podcasts. Car gurus, you're out. Car facts, you're out. Auto trader, all these other search engines that are helping you find the best deal on cars, you're in trouble. This idea, bro.
SPEAKER_00Cox, gone. Gone. Instead of Johnson and Johnson, it's gonna be Roberts and Pingle taking over the automotive space. One manis click at a time. By making absolutely no money.
SPEAKER_02Well, hey, that's how a lot of things started, though. Because remember, Carfax used to be free.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But then it becomes such a such a resource and such a tool that's gonna be.
SPEAKER_00They win at first, they were trying to get the consumers to pay for it, if you remember far enough back. True, it was.
SPEAKER_02It was like 10 bucks to pull a Carfax and took the bin and threw it in there.
SPEAKER_00And then they switched over to the dealer model.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but what's nice about this now is instead of having Auto Check and Carfax and these other sources, I'm using one platform and I'm actually comparing all of it. I'm getting the whole picture because the difference, remember the difference they said between Carfax and AutoCheck is like auto check only uses insurance and Carfax will use police reports and everything else too as well. So you're still not getting all the information. But now, if I were to use like an AI tool like a Mass or a Clot or Perplexity, I'm literally getting all the information in one.
SPEAKER_00I bet by the end of the day, I can build an AI-built app for the consumer, have it published on the iStore, charge like game over, dog 49 bucks, and you use AI to buy your next car, gives you all the negotiating points, gives you everything, gives you And then you charge him 500 bucks to use it because these brokers are charging a thousand dollars to do the same thing Manus could do in 10 minutes.
SPEAKER_02You know that, right? Like that guy delivered, the delivered dude. Yeah, he charges a thousand dollars a car, negotiates a whole car deal. I don't even need to, dude. I don't even need you to negotiate the car deal.
SPEAKER_00No, I can have my points. Dude, AI can do it. And I'll even give you the dealer objection. See, we're working on the wrong side. Oh, we're gonna piss off some dealers. That's okay. But you could get better or you could be pissed off because it's coming either way. Yeah, because trust me, we're not the first two idiots that have gone down this route. Maybe we are.
SPEAKER_02Maybe we shouldn't publish this. Yeah, I have no idea. But I think it's a great app. I think it's a great thing, though.
SPEAKER_00I wonder how many manus credits this is gonna cost me. I'm gonna have to up my sub. Oh, doesn't cloud have their little coding thing? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I heard they're pretty good for it. Yeah, coding's really good in claw. Clawed code.
SPEAKER_00We could build an app, we could get brewed to help us. And then we could use Whisper A. No, we don't. I could do this myself better. Then we use Whisper AI so I don't have to type all this crap. No. I just have to sit there for 20 minutes and spitball. Whisper flow is the name of that one if you want to do that. Whisper flow.
SPEAKER_02I haven't written an email, a text message. I haven't written anything in probably a month. Yeah, beyond one sentence, I don't type anymore. Yeah, I don't type anymore. I use Whisper Flow. So if you need Whisper Flow, that's great for that. It's just a little button you push and it dictates way better than Apple.
SPEAKER_00It gets rid of my ums or my weird screw ups in my speech.
SPEAKER_02Dude, this is gonna be a baller podcast. If actually someone listens to this, we've dropped two really good ideas.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there's at least two million dollar ideas that you could run in here. Easy. Just from a flow state.
SPEAKER_02It's crazy how much my flow state's changed in Ryan.
SPEAKER_00Maybe that's what we adjust the podcast to. We just do like a like a mastermind podcast. That's kind of what this is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But the only the thing is, is the only note I had that we've actually filed is everyone selling A automation is selling you duct tape and calling it a few.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then we started masterminding on that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and we were just like, What else do you got? Jones then,
1099, Commission Pay, And California
SPEAKER_02dude. Commission only is the most ethical pay structure there is, and salary is making people soft.
SPEAKER_00No, salaries just are for weak assets.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to talk about that.
SPEAKER_00That's boring. Commission only?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because most of most of our clients are entrepreneur or most of our audience.
SPEAKER_02It's not commission only. It's 1099. Yep, 1099. It's not like WT with commission, like in the car business.
SPEAKER_00Like you know, in California, all the solar bros and people cried so much, and I get the solar industry kind of screwed some stuff up. Yeah. But in California, it is almost next to impossible now to 1099 someone. Really? Do you know how many top salespeople that screws over, like good performers? A lot. Yeah. Because if you're making over 150K a year or some number about, see, you should be on 1099. You will save a lot of money, especially if you're doing any spending yourself, investing investing in yourself. Like Yeah, yeah, it became a big thing, and they're like, oh, but you know, they're telling us to be at these meetings and blah, blah, blah. So yeah, California, in the state of California, it is very hard to have a 1099 sales rep. Like that's next to impossible. Like you better be following the rules to a T, meaning. Well, that's why so many people are moving away from California. Well, yeah, because it just screws you. Freaking minimum wage is up the butt in California. By the way, it doesn't help anybody out, only makes things cost a heck of a lot more. Yeah. Which is insane. That's why I hate California, dude. Yeah, that's why I won't go there. Unless you can promise me 20,000 people in a room. Or I'm going to Disneyland. Oh, yeah, I am going to California next month.
SPEAKER_02Oh, see, he's going to California next month. You run to Disneyland? I'm a fraud. Yeah. Taking the kids there for summer. Dude, I tried to convince you to go to Disney World. You wouldn't go there. Yeah, but my kids have school. So do mine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but mine are in high school.
SPEAKER_02Sick days.
SPEAKER_00And they already miss enough school. Okay. Going to Mexico and crap. Whatever, Jonathan. Did you have anything else relevant?
SPEAKER_02It's almost one. Okay. That's a long time. Do I have a Zoom call? I hope someone watches this whole thing. We just gave you guys a lot of sauce.
SPEAKER_00And I want 10%. 10% of anything you steal from me. It's not bad. I need to patent that idea. We should. How how? That's expensive. I know it is. My dad used to be a patent attorney. But here's the thing. Because we put it out there, because we can publish this, because this has metadata on it, we at least had the idea first. That's we did have the idea first. So just give me 10%. It'll be easier, people. Rather than going through this lawsuit and all this crap. I'll take five. I'll undercut Jonathan. Well it's gonna split it. Okay, sorry, I'm gonna need five either. Okay, cool. Alright, everybody, later.
