I'll be full, pin five. We together go together, love. I'll be filled, pick five. But what you are doing is really it goes so slow. I don't care to see Only just a few days ago You said you have a make me blue I'm the beam fitness fit How you gun in the moral roll? I'm the beef spin, quite friend, beat fit, because you went up with all go-go I'm the beans fit friendly.

SPEAKER_00

I'm the beef fit with friends being fit This night is pain and pain is not Hi folks and welcome to the Quest for Silver. I'm Chris Tuffer on Lifestyles 55 and for the next hour, we're going to have some nostalgic pleasure with the help of some great old number two songs. The ball started rolling this hour with nits and pieces by the DC5. Dave Clark and Company had some banging big heads in the 60s and not unqualified big time. So let's stop that proverbial ball from rolling away and carry on with another big number two. The most common comment about these boys was that they were assumed to be singing another great Beatles song. Because they most assuredly sounded like the Beatles. But indeed, they were the Knickerbockers with a song called Lies!

SPEAKER_02

You're telling me that you'll be true. That's all I ever get from you. Cheers! Cheers! I shall make a cheers for you. Cheers, cheers, and now you'll love someone too.

unknown

And I don't believe what you say.

SPEAKER_02

I can't believe what you say.

SPEAKER_00

When the T-Bones had a hit in 1966 with the single No Matter What Shape Your Stomach's In, Liberty Records quickly recorded an album of the same name using session musicians from the Wrecking Crew. But those musicians were not willing to go on tour to promote the album. They were making sufficient money doing sessions in Los Angeles. So Liberty created a different public key bones group to appear on record covers, TV, and in concert. The public key bones were John Hamilton and Ann Hamilton, Joe Frank Carello, and Tommy Reynolds, and Jean Bellow. None of them played on the hit record, nor did they play on the next album Simon and Jim. However, the public T-bones did record the T-Bones final album after Everyone's Gone to the Moon and other tricks. Dan Hamilton, Joe Frank Carollo, and Tommy Reynolds later formed the nineteen seventies soft rock trio Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds. Who knew it? The weekending January 29, the song leaped from number 15 to number two, and was in position to replace We Can Work It Out by the Beatles as the next number one song. However, my love by Patula Clark unexpectedly vaulted into the number one position the weekending February 5th, 1966. Consequently, Barbara Ann headed at number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Torrence is not credited on the album, but Carl Wilson is heard saying the song's conclusion. Barbara Ann is a song written by Fred Fazard. That was first recorded by The Regent. Their version was released in 1961 and read number 13. The more famous version recorded by the Beach Boys was on their 1965 in-house live album, The Beach Boys Party. In December, Barbara Ann was issued as a single with the B-side Girl Don't Tell Me, peeking at number two.

SPEAKER_05

When you dance looking for a man, so I'm a bummer man, so I'm gonna take a change of bummer man, you got me rockin' in a rollin', rockin' in a readin' bummer Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba.

SPEAKER_11

Rollin' rockin' in the real barber rocky, baby zoo, baby zoo.

SPEAKER_05

You got me rockin' and a rollin' rockin' and a real barberant, barbering, barberang, barbering.

SPEAKER_00

My world is empty without you. Diana Ross and the Supremes. It was one of the few songs written by the team for the Supremes to not read number one. It was one of those songs that would definitely ring true with many relationships that did not make it. But for that reason, and probably others, it was besought with ambivalence, which is understandable, but somewhat disappointing. When their songs were often at number one, here they are, billed as the Supremes, with lead singing by the one and only Diana Ross.

SPEAKER_04

And as I go my way alone, I find it hard for me to carry on. I need your child, I need your gender touch, I need me love my dear, I miss so much.

SPEAKER_08

I'm I would be with our easy word, I love you, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Without a you fail, without a you pay, without a you pay, without a you The Beatles have broken more records than almost any other musical band in history, and they even weathered the storm of hate and had records physically destroyed due to the comment of Mr. Lennon stating that they were more popular than Jesus. However, they are mostly remembered for their incredible popularity in songs like this one, which broke away from the typical love songs. It was after struggling for several hours and trying to come up with one more song for the rubber soul album that John went for a nap, and during his rest it came to him with both a tune and lyrics.

SPEAKER_02

He's a real nowhere man, sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody, doesn't have a point of view, knows not where he's going to, isn't he a bit like you and me?

unknown

No a man be done.

SPEAKER_02

No a man, the man is that joke a man He's as blind as he can be, just sees what he wants to see. No one can use me at all. Till somebody else lend you a man doesn't have a point of view, knows nothing where he's going to Isn't be a bit like you and me.

unknown

No man is listening.

SPEAKER_02

You don't know what Joe know a man, Joe Man He's a real nowhere man sitting in his nowhere land, making all his nowhere plans for nobody making all his nowhere plans for nobody, making all his nowhere plans for nobody.

SPEAKER_00

This lovely ballad by Petula Clark was her last top ten song, and honors us as a silver medalist par excellence. Petula has had a wonderful life and still enjoys being outdoors and contemplating her eight decades of singing and performing for audiences worldwide. She has sold almost a hundred million records, and that's only surprising that it is not more than that. It might even be considered ironic that her last top ten song is entitled Kiss Me Goodbye.

SPEAKER_09

Love is never quite the same. I love you. Now I've lost you. Don't feel bad, you're not too blessed. So give me goodbye, and I'll try not to cry all these years in the world. For the last time, pretend you are mine and my darling. Kiss me goodbye. I know now I must go now, though my heart wants me to stay that girl is you up tomorrow. I belong to yesterday. So kiss me goodbye, and I'll try not to cry all the tears in the world which change your mind by you. So your heart will be reading and I hope you will survive like a friend just happen for the last time. Pretend you are mine, my darling. Kiss me goodbye, my darling, kiss me goodbye.

SPEAKER_00

Is about a man who cheated on his girlfriend. When she leaves, he realizes that he did love her and is very remorseful about his past actions. He vows to win her love back. L55 on the Q for S with me, Mr. T.

SPEAKER_12

Working my way back to you, babe, with a burning love inside.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, I'm working my way back to you, babe.

unknown

SPEAKER_12

When you would so I play around my house breed, I would have to be I used to make it fly.

SPEAKER_00

Bessie Banks recorded the very first version of the song Go Now and later commented, I remember back in November 63 when Kennedy was assassinated. It was announced over the radio. At the time I was rehearsing in the recording office. We had it for hours. Everyone was in the year to record. But they were not able to do better than this ever again. Go now by Stormy and Gabriel.

SPEAKER_11

We've already said you gotta go all you better go down.

SPEAKER_00

The group's fourth single, All Day and All of the Night, another Ray Davies hard rock tune, reached number two in the UK and number seven in the US. The next three singles, Tired of Waiting for You, Everybody's Gonna Be Happy and Set Me Free were also commercially successful. Tired of Waiting for You Now by the Kinks on L55 and the Q4S with me, Mr.

SPEAKER_14

T, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you I was a loneliness soul, I had nobody till I met you But you keeping me waiting All of the time What can I do?

SPEAKER_00

It's your life And you can do what you want Do what you like But please don't keep me waiting Please don't keep me waiting on you let you keep me within what can I do And you can do a chill Please don't keep a me winning This band called Paul Revere and the Raiders were a great studio band, partly due to the fact that they were often backed by the Wrecking Crew, studio musicians who could basically outplay the best in the business, and were paid relatively well to keep it that way. The most obvious song that was recorded by the Wrecking Crew under the name of Raiders with lead vocals by Mark Lindsay is their only number one song in the US about Indian reservation, element of the Cherokee Nation. Needless to say, this song was popular, and yet it was and is immersed in controversy due to the early claims of its origin and authenticity. Nevertheless, it was a huge success in the 70s and peaked in Canada at number two.

SPEAKER_01

So proud to live, so proud to die for whole Indian nation wants us all for reservation, who I winner's shirt and tie, I'm still a red man deep inside. So proud to live, so proud to die Well, maybe someday when they learn Churchination will return, will return, will return, we'll return, will return.

SPEAKER_00

The string of hits started with I'm into something good, show me girl, silhouette, Mrs. Brown, Wonderful World, Henry VIII, just a little bit better, must to avoid and this one. Can't you hear my heartbeat on L55 and the Q for S with me, Mr.

SPEAKER_02

T Every time I see you looking my way? Baby baby, can't you hear my heartbeat? Baby baby, can't you hear my heartbeat? When you walk no me, I gotta feel it and so we can't you go the bounding out my heart Be show the walk I love the walk I love When I feel you put jobs around me But you be baby We can't change the mother When I'm glad I'm mighty glad I found Baby Baby We can't change my heart When yes we need your mom And you baby wall And you found another heart We go the wall I love the wall I love Oh my friends are crying out the preacher Buddy be ready We can't you're my heart That's a time to go and see the preacher Buddy be baby We can't change my heart Where the bell we don't jump Baby baby gonna be mine Can't you hear the founding on my heart Cause roll the walk I love the walk I love Baby baby can't you my heart sweep Baby baby can't you hear my heartbeat Baby baby can't you have my heart Who are the righteous brothers?

SPEAKER_00

Well indeed they were not brothers Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield and they formed a duo of amazing complimentary voices You are my soul and inspiration was a definitive silver selection in Canada to go all the way at home. Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield as the righteous brothers singing a song that disparited sessions to complete. But when they did in late nineteen sixty-five, it took hold and rose to the top in the US the following year. Peter and Gordon Waller, known by their first names only. Peter and Gordon and Great and Great Harmony. And several of their favorite hits were written by Paul McCartney, and of course credited to both he and John Lennon. World Without Love was their debut hit. But today we have the secondary song Nobody I Know, written by Lennon McCarthy, but of course we know Lennon gets credit even though he did not collaborate.

SPEAKER_03

Nobody I know could love me more than you. You can give me so much love, it seems untrue. Listen to the bird who sings it to the tree, and then when you heard in the seed, you agree. Nobody I know could love you more than me. Everywhere I go, the sun comes shining to everyone I know is sure it shines for you. Even in my dreams I look into your eyes. Suddenly it seems I've found a paradise. Everywhere I go, the sun comes shining. It means so much to be a ball.

unknown

When other sun will live all, we'll live all.

SPEAKER_00

To finish the hour of silver songs on our quest with Lifestyles 55, we have uh the twin spin of the turtle. First, you baby. And to wind up our show, they will sing the old favorite. We'll meet again. So for now, I'm Christopher, begging you be cool and stay warm.

unknown

SPEAKER_11
