This is The Quest for Silver with Chris Tuffer and we got under way today with Cradle of Love by Johnny Preston and Dion and The Belmonts with a secondary song called Where or When.  Sink the Bismarck by another Johnny but this is Johnny Horton.  Anita Bryant and Paper Roses is just ahead of another silver selection on our quest by Conway Twitty and the Lonely Blue Boy.  Jackie Wilson sings a short song called Night and then it's Ron Holden who died young but we have his big song Love you so.  This next silver song by Annette Funicello is entitled O Dio Mio.  The Platters are next with Harbour Lights.  Dwayne Eddie Because They're young is just ahead of Please Help me I'm falling by Hank Locklin.  Jean Black is up now with He'll have to stay.  Sam Cooke with his secondary song is up now with Wonderful World.  Bobby Rydel now with a song about those school days called Swingin' School followed by his rendition of Volare.   Brenda Lee and Sweet Nothins preceeds our next to last number two this hour by The Everly Brothers and Let it be me.  To wrap up an hour of old number two nostalgic songs is Dion and the Belmonts with a song that was at the beginning of our quest for Silver today entitled Where or When.  Thanks for listening.

This next installment on our quest for silver entitled Let It Be Me is based on the French song, which was written by Gilbert Bacot and his frequent collaborator, lyricist, who reportedly wrote the lyrics for Bicot as an apology for missing one of the singer's performances at the Olympia in Paris. The song sung by Bacot was released as a single by his master's voice in 1955. The Everly Brothers now, with Let It Be Me.
