What do you want to know?

I sit down with the founder of Clothing Stories for a Spanish conversation about building a boutique from nothing and using fashion photography to give every piece a point of view. We talk about clothes as memory, creative collaboration done right, and how personal style can lift someone up on a hard day.

• starting Clothing Stories in El Paso with no network and a lot of fear
• shifting from general photography into fashion editorial and product storytelling
• choosing the name Clothing Stories because garments carry memories
• building a gallery-boutique vision that fuses fashion with art and events
• setting boundaries in collaborations and valuing planning, logistics, and creative direction
• curating limited pieces to stay original and keep the brand flexible
• dreaming of expansion to places like Mexico City and Madrid plus sourcing globally
• advice for young people in fashion to work harder, stay focused, and keep going
• real client moments that show how outfits can rebuild confidence and fight negativity

Welcome And Spanish Setup

SPEAKER_01

Hi, and welcome back to another episode of S T V where we talk about fashion, fashion people, and opportunities in the creative industry. This episode is very special because it will be in Spanish. And I am with a really good friend of mine that I admire very much. So if you are listening on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, make sure to go to YouTube to see the English subtitles.

SPEAKER_02

But in Spanish.

Starting From Zero In El Paso

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_02

Creativo.

SPEAKER_00

Sí. Y pues no me gustó esa área. No me gustó.

Why Every Garment Holds Memory

SPEAKER_02

Ejemplo, tu vestido of 15 years. Lo ves and te recuerda, this moment. Ay, you know, that's what it is. And then associates much the ropa with historians, with moments. A part of photography, but you can contain much depending on the ropa.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And they are at this epoch. Yes, apart me gusta who went.

SPEAKER_02

Aparte tiene tonito.

SPEAKER_00

Tienes rythmals.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, vamos a sacar a Clot. No, pero siempre me encantó because me acuerdo mucho entrar atención for the time and verse prendas super different and super únicas. And I think, what is this person and what is this? And me gusta mucho, una chaqueta fringe, Western, that vi and me encantó. And the gente, and that has trained more gente that llama the attention. Look at my history for the photos, the contention. And then in the Paso, Texas, but ya sea in Austin, in Dallas, in all States that the creative and the editorial that are here in this frontier.

Turning A Boutique Into A Gallery

SPEAKER_00

And in this video, you know what I quiero dark enfoque, quiero levantar más, uh galería boutique.

SPEAKER_03

Me encanta.

SPEAKER_00

Siempre me pasa. Lo veremos cuando pase.

SPEAKER_02

Pero igual, pues, bueno, saber para artistas who are interested in collaboration with you yes poner support, hacer un event, que sea algo más que la moda, como you said that sea una fusion between the two.

Collaboration Rules And Respect

SPEAKER_02

And hablando of collaborations, you know that it's algo that sees much and more in the creative, don't modelo con photograph, or designador with modelo, who can collaborate and not necessarily, but also that the two ganas has been your experience in collaboration and pure platform for that load or consciente of not doing certain things when you have a collaboration.

SPEAKER_00

He passed on much moments very disagreeable with person, with empresas that have a lot of book.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_00

Yo que ahorita todo se maneja por redes sociales, pero para es mejor que vayas a presencial, le expliques a la persona el concept that trades, what quieres lograr, what's going on, and a lot of those pure fusion, with more professionalism, that several, no?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, what happens with the collaborations, like you dictate, is that sento that the other person who is pediendo la collaboration no vehicle, bueno, ellos esperan esta prenda orgulha, but y qué vas a ganar a cambio, como que sento que es la confusional in collaboration that I think with photographs, where I think I'm collaborative, I encourage my style, we're gonna have a campaign. But I think I said, well, what is the concept, there are models, dime more. No, but no, I have nothing, I don't know if you have that. And I think when I'm like, aparte that the gente se da cuenta that direction creative is a part of photograph, yeah, we can have the, but it's the ubication, if we have accessories, no, there's much of that project that a lot of people don't know and not, but it's demo the logistic.

SPEAKER_00

It's the logistic, to go to locations, the style. That's a conjunction is a point where the people never value, not, I explicitly.

Curating Looks Through Photography

SPEAKER_00

Yes, a lot of my tienda is a little bit of it. I think that's a good thing. But it's for the queen, solo beige con amarillo, con esto.

Me encanta.

SPEAKER_00

No si conozco a Anima Benetti, ella is one of my photographers favorite in question of photography editorial and mode. Me gustaría, bueno, no me gustaría, manifestando. And it's a little difficult, but this is for me a hobby.

SPEAKER_02

Sí, la verdad que sí.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_02

Sí, lo vas a cumplir. And si con tu tienda tienes alguna meta donde como no sé, quieras crecer múltiples tiendas orientable en otro lugar, or este concepto.

Expansion Dreams And Global Sourcing

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_02

Nueva York.

SPEAKER_00

Nueva York, Londres. Obviamente todas as cidades grandes. But yeah for those cities me gustaría when you tuviera mystery, something, because it's a boutique. But my collection, my logo.

SPEAKER_02

Ay, qué emotion. Es que si is a process, the gente no sabe como que lo ve y dice, ay, de repente salió, pero desenvolviéndose.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

Different moods. Because I'm like boutiques that train, for example, the new collection, various. O las mismas marcas, different collections. Como que me limitaría.

SPEAKER_02

Advice For New Fashion Entrepreneurs

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_02

Cosas que ni siquiera son ciertas.

SPEAKER_00

Sí, sí, sí. O sea, te pasa de todo. Yo he tenido problemas con mis proveedores, con clientes, inclusive con amigos, bueno, dice amigos. André adelante and not enfocarse in esos problemas, sino enfocarse más bien inicial. Yo cuando recién clothing stories one, I recuerdo a message in a group of my amigos. In three years I'm going to have the other team. And one of them is mensajites as well.

SPEAKER_02

But I think that there are much that the gente hasta in Nuevo Mexico, Santa Fe, modes different, still, creating the world of the arte de nuestro arte.

Building Style Culture On The Border

SPEAKER_02

It's like one of my metas también, porque me encanta Nueva York, butas or not, si está saturado in this aspect of what I'm siento much.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_02

I'm here and not in Nueva York, and the city and all the people are in certain areas, and I think I can inspire, but then we're going to get clothing stories.

SPEAKER_00

You les of a move where they are living in juzgar. And in my people, I think that if you pull with plumas, no fall in the comments don't desplate the gallina, don't robaste the gallina, no entire. And when I was a Nueva York, you see me llevé.

SPEAKER_02

Comforts.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

De hecho sí, sino que when I viajo is when I use more tush, because I mean, and aparte se va a lucir more, and the contention, and via, okay, not necessarily for us.

When Clothes Become Confidence Therapy

SPEAKER_00

And yo dije, lo abrí casi terminando COVID. Digo, claro, adelante. Y me dice, me puedo quitar, cubrebocas.

SPEAKER_02

Ay, qué triste.

SPEAKER_00

No, ponga eso, pongase, porque a me conmovió, me sentí, la verdad, pues la lástima is the percent that you would have a serious human, but me dio lástima a la señora. And no, le dije, mira, venga, cubre boca. No se lo vuelve a poner. It's not defended.

SPEAKER_02

I recuerden that meeting me, muy, muy marcado. No solamente por fuera, because much that is vanidad, it's gente soberbia, and no, no, empiece.

SPEAKER_02

No diga nada.

SPEAKER_00

No diga nada, it's a poquito de todo como in this video.

SPEAKER_02

And the señora me dice la señora que pues vivió malas experiencias with su esposo, ¿no? Ok. And se iba a ir a divorciar.

SPEAKER_01

Ay, está.

SPEAKER_00

Porque otra cosa que pasa is that no se pushing ropa. Because much of our mommies that are not. And one notable. Sí, sí, sí, sí, sí. Un mal comentario, pues, te puede dañar. Muchísimo, mucho, mucho.

SPEAKER_02

Te digo, estas señoras who vienen con una autoestima in zero, pues it's for looks of commentarios, negatives.

SPEAKER_00

Inclusive hasta nosotros mismos nos hablamos mal.

SPEAKER_02

Sí, sí, sí, sí.

SPEAKER_00

Exactamente. Armando pleito.

SPEAKER_02

Sí, hay publicidad y pleito. And I think that a me encanta la industria de la moda, porque it's too much, it's a history. Or if you know me quite super professional, I would have not necessarily con un estilo toda la vida, todavía.

Closing Thanks And Where To Follow

SPEAKER_02

But bueno, aquí cerramos este episodio.

SPEAKER_02
