Welcome to Unified Science of Everything, unlocking the code of creation and manifestation. I'm your host, Dr. Zhu Len Xu, a quantum physicist and a co-founder of Tao Science with Dr. and Master Xi Gang Xia. Today, we are going somewhere. Most scientists have been afraid to go into the very nature of the soul. Not as a metaphor, not as a religious concept, but as a scientific object that can be defined, calculated, and measured. In 2025, Masas Shah and I published a peer-reviewed journal, a peer-reviewed paper in reports in advances of physical sciences. The title alone is Enough to Raise Eyebrows in many physics departments, a new proposal of quantum theory of soul based on Tao Science. Today I'm going to walk you through this paper step by step, what it proposes, how it uses quantum physics to make predictions about the soul, and why it may set up the foundation to bridge science and spirituality together. So let's begin. For most of human history, the soul has been the domain of religion, philosophy, and spiritual traditions. In ancient Chinese wisdoms, in Native American shamanic traditions, in Hawaiian Kahuna teachings, in Buddhism and Taoism, and many other spiritual and religious teachings, the soul is real and essential and is powerful. In Buddhist teaching, the soul can reincarnate. In Taoist teaching, the soul has miraculous abilities and immortality through cultivation. But when modern science arrived, it largely left the soul behind. The turning point came in the seventeenth century with Rene Descartes. Descartes proposed what we now call Cartesan dualism, the idea that the universe contains two radically different kinds of substances, the mind and the or the soul defined as thinking, and the body defined as matter. So these two substances, he argued, are distinct. Each can exist apart from the other. And this point of view effectively locked the soul out of the science lab. It also left the led to the sharp separation between spiritual tradition and science. However, this is not a harmless philosophical disagreement. Confined to the seminar rooms and the monasteries, it has a profound consequence. It is a fracture that runs through the entire fabric of modern life, and its consequences are felt at every scale of human experience, from the restlessness of a single human heart to the warming of the planet itself. Many of the defining emergencies of our time, ecological collapse, widening equality, anxiety, depression, addiction, and a persuasive feeling of emptiness, they are different faces of the same underlying imbalance, tremendous outer capability paired with dismissed inner awareness. So classical physics is deterministic and objective, and it describes a universe of predictable trajectories and measurable forces. There's no room in Newtonian's equation for something as subjective and immaterial as a soul. Then came the quantum physics, and everything changed. Quantum physics is uncertain, subjective, and non-local. Particles can be in multiple states at once. So measurements affect the outcome. Two particles can be entangled across vast distances. So suddenly the universe looked a lot more like what mystics had been describing for thousands of years. Physicists began to wonder, could consciousness and soul be brought into the framework of quantum physics? Some have tried to use quantum physics to study the soul. Yet mainstream science still holds that there's no scientific evidence for the existence of the soul. Quantum physicist Sean Carroll has argued forcefully that the soul is simply incompatible with quantum field theory as we know it. So what is missing? What is the key that unlock this door? So in our paper, we argue that the answer is surprisingly simple. We have never given the soul a scientific definition. So think about how science works. Major breakthroughs almost always begin with a precise scientific definition. Isaac Newton defined force and the Newtonian mechanics followed. Scientists in the nineteenth century defined energy, and the industrial revolution was born. Claudine Shannon gave a mathematical definition of information, and the information age arrived. Without the scientific definition, you cannot build a theory. Without a theory, you cannot make predictions. Without prediction, you cannot do experiments. So the soul has been studied for millennia without anyone ever saying precisely in scientific language what it is. So this is what our paper sets out to change. But before we can define the soul, we need to lay the foundation. And that foundation is a new interpretation of quantum physics, the one we have developed over years of work in Tao science, which I have shared this in our previous episode. So here I would just review some of the key points. And if you want to know more, please listen to the previous episode. So our core proposition is at the deepest level, everything in the universe is a quantum vibrational field carrying three things: information, energy, and matter. We all know about matter, the physical stuff of the universe. We all know about energy. It is what moves and changes the matter. So what about information? So in quantum physics, every object is described by a wave function. The wave function doesn't give you a single definite answer about where a particle is or what state it's in. Instead, it gives you a range of possible states and the probabilities of being in each state. So this is a famous probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics that Einstein famously resisted, saying God doesn't play dice. So we propose that probabilistic nature of quantum physics is not a limitation of quantum physics. It is a feature. It is describing the information carried by the object. To see why, consider simple analogy we use in our paper. Imagine a six-sided die, each side a different color. Each throw of the die creates a piece of information. So the die can carry and encode and send information. So in the same way, the different energetic states of a quantum object and the probabilities of being each state describes the information carried by that object. So this insight leads to a profound conclusion. Just as everything contains energy and matter, everything also contains information. Information is not something we add to the universe. It is an intrinsic fundamental elements to that everything carries. So now we arrive at the heart of this paper, the scientific definition of the soul. So we observe that information has three related aspects. So one is it has a content of information, and second is receiver of the information. Third aspect is processor of the information. So with this in mind, we proposed three definitions. So first, the soul is the content of the information in one's quantum vibrational field. And spiritual heart, the heart mentioned in the spiritual tests, is the receiver or emitter of the information. And the mind is a processor of the information. So here we give soul, spiritual heart, and mind a scientific definition. So now that's a pause moment to really look through. So our soul is not a ghost floating inside our body. It is an information encoded in our quantum vibrational field. It is a totality of what we are at the deepest level, our unique pattern of possibilities, our internal universe of potential states. And our spiritual heart, the heart that every wisdom tradition speaks of, is your capacity to receive and emit vibrations. It is your quantum antenna, it is what connects you to the world and to the others. And our mind is the processor, the system that takes the information received by the heart and works with it, directs energy and shapes our action and experience. So what is remarkable about this framework is that it is mathematically precise. The soul can be described by the wave function of our quantum vibrational field. The total amount of information in our soul can be calculated. You've seen a formula from quantum information theory called volumen entropy. And the more possible states you can occupy, and the more equally distributed your probabilities are across this state, the greater richness of your soul. So here's something deeply important. The soul can be measured. To measure soul, you measure its wave function, the possible energetic states, and the probabilities at each state. So this is in principle what quantum measurement already does. So every quantum measurement is in a sense a measurement of your soul. So this also means that soul, spiritual heart, and mind are not separate from matter and energy. They are simply different aspects of the same underlying reality, the quantum vibrational field. So this is a monism in the most scientific form. Everything is one and the apparent division between spirit and matter are simply different facets of a single unified existence. A scientific theory is only good as the prediction it makes. So in our paper, we show that quantum theory of soul makes six actual predictions. So number one, the prediction. The soul is the essence of existence. Because the soul is the information in our quantum field. It is a determining factor for what we observe, what we experience, and what we manifest. So is not secondary to matter, it is primary. The spiritual wisdom that says everything comes from the soul is, according to this theory, literally true at the quantum level. So number two prediction, the soul may persist beyond physical death. So when the physical body stops functioning, the quantum information in our field does not simply vanish. Information in quantum physics is in somehow, in many cases, are conserved. So the soul, as quantum information, can still exist and continue its journey even after the body ceases to function. So this is a scientific basis for what every spiritual tradition has taught, that death is not the end. So the third prediction, the soul can be internal. So the physical body is limited by space and time, but the quantum information stored in now quantum fields can extend over space and time without such limitations. So the soul does not have to be confined to a body or to a moment. It can in principle be internal. So number four, prediction. The soul can connect and communicate remotely. So this prediction is grounded in one of the most experimentally verified phenomena in all quantum physics, quantum entanglement. When two quantum systems become entangled, a change in one instantly affects the other, regardless of the distance between them. Through quantum entanglement, quantum information can be teleported remotely without physical movement. The more quantum entanglement a soul has with others, the more it can connect, influence, and communicate across space and time. So this is the quantum basis for love, empathy, for the deep sense of connection we feel with others. So number five, prediction. The Akashic record does exist. It is the universal quantum field. Because every object's quantum vibrational field extends over space and time. The sum of all these fields creates a universal quantum vibrational field. And this universal field holds the information, energy, and matter of everyone, everything from the past, present, and future. So this is the scientific equivalent of what ancient traditions call the Kashic records. The concept of Kashic records appears across cultures. In Sanskrit, Akasha refers to the Easter, the fundamental fabric of reality from which all elements emerge. Helena Blavotsky described this as indestructible templates of astral light, recording both the past and future human thought and action. Edgar Casey, known as the sleeping prophet, attributed his remarkable clairvoyance to accessing this record while in the trance state. So this is not mysticism. This is physics. The universal quantum vibrational field is real. It is accessible and it influences everything, every moment. Just as you can tune a video receiver to pick up a specific frequency, you can in principle tune your spiritual heart to receive information and energy from this universal field. That's amazing. So number six predictions, spiritual abilities are scientifically possible. So if the universal vibrational field exists and is accessible, then intuition, direct knowing, telepathy, clairvoyance, and even teleportation is theoretically possible. They're not supernatural. They are natural consequences of our quantum theory of soul. So intuition is simply the reception of information from the universal field. Telepathy is a direct exchange of quantum information between entangled souls. Clairvoyance's ability to receive specific information from the karmic field and teleportation appearing in different places as some advanced masters in Chinese history were recorded to do is the transmission of information through quantum entanglement without physical movement. So in addition to these predictions, our quantum theory of soul also opens the door to understanding, karma, and free will. So these subjects we will explore in our future episode. So now I want to address the elephant in the room. What about the critics? Physicist Sean Carroll has argued that the soul is incompatible with quantum field theory. His reasoning is that if the soul exists and could interact with the brain, it would require new particles and new forces that we have never detected. So he concludes that the laws of physics underlying everyday life are completely understood, and therefore there's no room for the soul. So in our paper, we respond to this directly. We point out that Carroll's arguments rest on an assumption that that is itself questionable, that the laws of physics underlying everyday life is completely understood. In fact, more than 90% of the matter and energy in the universe, dark matter and dark energy, remains unaccounted for by current science. The foundation of quantum physics in mainstream are still debated. And the measurement problem has not been solved. The scientific understanding about consciousness still remains open. And more importantly, so our quantum theory of soul based on Dao science does not require any new particles or forces. The soul is not a separate substance that interacts with the body. From outside. The soul, the heart, the mind, the energy, and matter are all different aspects of the same quantum vibrational field. There's nothing needed to be added. The information is already there in the wave function. So what about the experimental evidence? So quantum physics is already verified. And we acknowledge that the experiments on the spiritual abilities such like remote viewing has received mixed results. But please note that the quantum theory of Seoul predicts that remote viewing would be extremely difficult for an ordinary person to perform reliably on specific unknown targets. Because the universal field contains the information of everything in the entire universe and more. So finding a specific signal in that vast ocean of information is like finding a single voice in a stadium of trillions. So furthermore, you don't need a double-blind controlled trial to prove that something is possible. You just need one, find one verified case. For example, to prove the existence of black hole, you just need to find one photo of black hole. Similarly, if we so if one person in the history have shown the existence of, you know, show the reliable ability of telepathy and teleport, and that's easy enough to show the the possible possibility of the spiritual abilities. So that's now a step back and take the full picture. What our quantum theory of soul based on Tao Science is proposing. So for centuries, we have lived a worldwheel that divided, that divided the thinking and the thinking soul. So our quantum theory of soul suggests a new framework of reality. In this theory, quantum physics describes a world that has not just matter and energy, but also soul, spiritual heart, and mind and consciousness, all as different aspects of one unified existence, the quantum vibrational field. So this theory supports monism, the ancient philosophical view that all of reality is ultimately one substance. And it endorses pine psychism, the idea that everything from the smallest electron to the largest galaxy, from human beings possesses animals, possesses one form of soul, heart and mind. And in a human being, we have a very vast and complex and rich soul. So the idea that everything has a spirit is found in shamanic traditions worldwide, in Taoism, Buddhism, and many other spiritual beliefs aligns with the panpsychism this theory endorses. So what is new is that we now have a mathematical framework that can bridge these ancient wisdoms with modern physics. By giving the soul a scientific definition, Tao science expands the boundaries of scientific inquiry to include spiritual phenomena, finally bridging science and spirituality together at the fundamental level. So this unification is not just an academic exercise. It reveals and unleashes the greater power and the potential existing within everyone and everything. It brings a new way of life, a new era for humanity and all beings. We are standing at a remarkable crossroads right now. Across the world, the most powerful technology companies and governments are in a race to build quantum computers, machines that harness the quantum vibrational field to process information at speeds and skills that classical computers cannot approach. In a very real sense, they are building tools to work with the quantum field to manipulate information at its most fundamental level. Whether they know it or not, they are building tools to work with the soul. So at the same time, artificial intelligence is advancing at a pace that is breathtaking and for many people unsettling. AI can now write, reason, diagnose, create, and solve problems that once required years of human training. Robots are entering factories, hospitals, classrooms, and homes. The mind, the processor of the information, is being replicated, extended, and in many domains surpassed by the machines. But here is what no technology can replicate. Here is what no quantum computer, no AI, no robots will ever match our soul. Our soul is not a processor, it's not an algorithm, it is a living, breathing content of information in a quantum vibrational field that has been shaped by billions of years of cosmic evolution, by every experience, every love, every loss, every moment of growth and transformation. It is entangled with the universe itself. It carries within it the karmic records of its entire journey. It can connect, resonate, and commune with the universal field in ways no machine ever will. Because the soul is not separate from the field. It is whole with it. So we are entering the soul age. Master Shah calls it soul light era, a new era in human civilization in which the most important frontier is not artificial intelligence, but natural soul intelligence. Not the processing power of silicon, but the wisdom capacity of the human soul. In this soul age, soulite era, we will begin to tap into our soul for what we have truly thought. Higher wisdom, higher knowledge, greater power, lasting happiness, vibrant health and longevity, extraordinary abilities and enlightenment. We will discover what the answers we have been searching for in technology, in achievements, in accumulation. Those answers have always been with us, encoded in the quantum information of our own soul. AI and robots can replace the mind. They can process faster, store more, calculate better, but they cannot replace our soul's capacity for love, for compassion, for direct knowing, for connection with the source. They cannot replace the human's ability to receive wisdom from the source, from the universal quantum field, to transform negative information into positive, to elevate ourselves and others, and to live with higher purpose and profound meaning. So I want to invite you to the soul age, to stop competing with machines on the machines term, but to step fully into what makes us irreplaceable, our soul, to cultivate it, to honor it, to develop it, and to let it lead. The quantum computer is a remarkable tool, but you, with your soul, your spiritual heart, your capacity for love and wisdom, you are something far more remarkable. You are a quantum vibrational field that has been evolving for billions of years, connected to everything that has ever existed, carrying with you the potential for infinite growth, infinite infinite wisdom, and infinite light.
