What happens when you stop letting your trauma, your ego, and your nervous system drive the car — and finally take the wheel yourself?

In this episode, Heather sits down with Kristina Perez — energetics practitioner, breathwork facilitator, coach, and the creator behind the Healing Bestie Kristina platform — for a deeply honest conversation about the healing journey that brought them both to this work.

Kristina shares her story of going from a chaotic, traumatic upbringing and years of survival mode to quitting drinking, losing 90 pounds, leaving nursing, and ultimately building a thriving platform that helps thousands of people come back into their wholeness. And she did most of it in less than a year.

Together, Heather and Kristina get into:

•  Why so many healers and lightworkers walked through darkness before finding their light

•  The difference between traditional therapy and energy-based healing — and why one moves so much faster

•  How to talk to your body, your pain, and your nervous system — and actually get answers

•  What it means to stop being a passenger in your own life and become the driver

•  The real difference between seeking happiness and finding peace

•  Why 2026 is the year of rising — and how you fit into that collective shift

•  QHHT, family constellation work, breathwork, spinal energetics, and the modalities that go where talk therapy can’t

This one is for anyone who has ever felt like they were drowning and couldn’t find a way out. The tools exist. The path is simpler than you think. And peace — real, lasting peace — is absolutely attainable.

Welcome to Everything You Need to Know About the Ascension of Humanity, the podcast where ancient wisdom meets modern science and spiritual evolution gets real. I'm Heather, an energy healer, channel, and spiritual coach with Divine Ascension Company. Each week we're diving deep into the mysteries of human consciousness, spiritual awakening, and the profound transformation happening within us and around us. But here's the thing: we're not doing this with our heads in the clouds. We're bringing neuroscience, psychology, quantum physics, and cutting-edge research to the table alongside meditation, energy work, and timeless spiritual teachings. Because the truth is, the attention of humanity isn't some far-off cosmic event. It's happening right now in the choices we make, the awareness we cultivate, and the healing we do within ourselves. Whether you're curious about how mindfulness literally rewires your brain, why shadow work is backed by depth psychology, or what coherence between your heart and mind actually means scientifically, you're in the right place. We'll explore practices like breath work, meditation, and devotional alchemy, not as abstract concepts, but as tangible tools grounded in both spiritual wisdom and scientific understanding. And here's where it gets even better. In our bonus episodes, you'll hear from real people sharing real stories. These are the warriors, the healers, the everyday seekers who've walked through their own darkness and found their light. They'll share their breakthroughs, their struggles, and the resources that actually help them along the way. Because personal growth isn't a solo journey, and you deserve to know you're not alone. So whether you're just beginning to question the nature of reality or you're deep in your spiritual practice, this podcast is your companion on the path. It's time to expand, to awaken, and to rise together. Let's begin. Have you ever looked at someone's life and thought, how did they get from there to here? Because today's guest went from not wanting to be alive to building a massive platform that helps thousands of people come back into their power in less than a year. Christina Perez is a content creator, energetics practitioner, breath work facilitator, and coach who helps people master their inner world so it stops running them. She's also someone I've been following on social media for a while now, and I will fully admit I was fangirling a little when she said yes to this conversation. But what I love about this episode is how much Christina and I have in common, not just in the work we do, but in the journey that brought us here. Two women who went through the kind of darkness that makes you wonder if things will ever be different, and came out the other side, not just okay, but on fire. We talked about why so many healers and light workers walked through hell before they could hold the light for others, about inner child work, shadow work, breath work, and the tools that actually move the needle faster than years of just talking about your trauma ever could. About the real difference between seeking happiness and finding peace, and about why so many of us are rising at the same time right now in 2026. If you've ever felt like you were drowning and you couldn't find a way out, this one is for you. Let's get into it. Alright, hey guys, welcome back to another episode. Today we have Christina Perez, who I'm gonna be honest, I'm fangirling a little hard about. I'm super excited to have her on the show. I follow her on Facebook. She always has so many amazing things to say and songs to sing and this amazing journey. Christina, how are you doing today?

SPEAKER_03

I'm doing amazing. How are you?

SPEAKER_01

I'm super excited and happy and you know, all the things. So let's jump in. And why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so as you know, I am a social media content creator now, which is still landing on me because it's pretty new, to be honest. I just started that journey in oh gosh, like March, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so we're here now with like a very large platform, and I'm still really figuring that all out. But it's been an absolutely beautiful journey, a beautiful honor. I once was a girl that didn't use her voice, was very afraid to speak my truth, afraid to speak at all, really. So this is a huge stretch. Content was a huge stretch, podcasting is another huge stretch, but I'm all about stretching windows of tolerance because I know that that's where we grow. Uh doing a little bit of the uncomfortable. And so gosh, how to start. So I grew up in a very chaotic household, very unstable, very traumatic upbringing. And so my whole life and the majority of my adult life, I was really just stuck in a space of survival. And I I didn't even want to be alive, if I'm being honest, for a lot of my life. And about eight years ago, maybe nine. I feel like I always say eight, so we might be moving forward. About eight years ago, I really dove into my own healing journey. It was after an attempt. I was really deep in alcohol, and I knew that I needed to do something with myself, and I couldn't keep blaming it on my upbringing. I had to find my power and really take my power back. So I started on that journey and started making significant progress. I quit drinking, I lost 90 pounds, I got really healthy many, many ways. And so I was deep in Western medicine at that point. I was a nurse, and I was really frustrated in the system. So after, mostly because I just kept realizing that I wasn't helping people the way that I wanted to. I felt like we were often just keeping people sick, and I I hated it. So I kept trying to find my way out, and I did a few times. I would end up back in nursing again, and then eventually I ended up providing holistic services. So I became an energetics practitioner and I did things like Reiki and energetic body work, and I also was a reflexologist, and I still am all those things. I just don't focus on that so much anymore because of this whole new evolution that's happened, which I'm super excited about. So through my content journey, I realized once I realized, oh, I'm creating a platform, I really shifted my focus to helping people heal, which I became a coach in the model that basically saved and changed my life. Became a coach in that same model. And I've had that under my belt for since like 2020. But I realized once I was on social media, how many more people I could reach, how much more I could spread my message. And it's been a really beautiful journey, both in the witness of seeing so many people resonating with my messaging and constantly giving me feedback about how much just my content alone is changing people's lives and helping them remember who they are and come back into their power. And simultaneously, it's been incredibly healing for me because I had that voice wound that I talked about. And I still had that. And at the beginning of this journey, you know, I was very nervous. If you ever scroll back to the beginning of my content on any of the platforms, you'll see that I was very, you know, different. I was very nervous. I had no confidence in it. But you know, that all comes from from doing and being and practicing. So yeah, it helped me a lot with with visibility and just in so many ways, really. So eventually that evolved, and I I saw that people really wanted more, they wanted more support, they wanted more connection to me. And so I I created a community. And the basis of that community, and just to say, at this point in my in my healing journey, in my spiritual evolution journey, I am in full belief that my purpose on this planet and the reason I'm here this time around, is to really help the collective heal and come back into wholeness and coherence so that we can all be in a much better position than we are. So I created this community, and the the idea behind the community is to help people come back into their wholeness. So I really help people master their inner world so that it stops running them from their mind to their emotions to their nervous system, their energy, all of that, and build that foundation up. And then I take them into the deeper layers where we go into belief systems and identity and different things like that, shadow work, parts work, inner child work, all those beautiful things that have just entirely changed my life. It's like I did years of therapy, and this type of framework just took me so much farther, so much faster, so much deeper than anything else I had ever done. So it's just a beautiful honor to share it. Oh, and I forgot, I'm also a breathwork facilitator. So that's another thing that I do that I absolutely love. I'm super passionate about breath work and just the medicine that it is, the healing that it provides, and the nervous system regulation that it provides. It's just so good. So that I would say that's like what I do in a nutshell.

SPEAKER_01

Well, all of that's beautiful. And I can relate to a lot of the things that you said. Like it's amazing, amazing how many people on this journey in the spiritual community who are doing all of this inner work and this growth and who are light workers or starseeds or whatever you want to call them, had such difficult upbringings and went through, you know, the darkness before they found the light to a pretty extreme extent. Like I self-medicated for a long time. I didn't think I would live lived to 30 for quite a long time. I'm 41 now, so that I mean I've I made progress. But I I started my journey about 15 years ago, going through the inner work and the shadow work. And we do a lot of the same stuff. We're gonna have to talk about maybe doing a collab at some point. But I also wanted to say that I do follow you on social media and have been for quite some time. And I also believe that everything happens for a reason. So clearly, if you've only been on this journey since March and you have such a big following and people connecting with you, like you clearly have a message to share. And like this is obviously a good way to do it. And I'm I'm really proud of you for all of it, and it really is a beautiful thing.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, thank you. Thank you so much for that because there's something about the words I'm proud of you, that I just didn't hear it enough growing up, and it is so powerfully impactful for me. So I really appreciate that. I'm sorry, I'm currently trying to plug in my computer. I just noticed it was about to die. Sorry for that little sound. But yeah, it's it's so funny because I feel the same way. I think that there's there's something about having to walk through the dark so that you can learn it to be able to help people so that you're not afraid of it anymore, too. So that you can help people move forward and move out of it. And it's so true. So many of us in this these lines of work really went through. Am I allowed to swear?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, go for it.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, cool. Really went through some shit, girl. They really went through some shit, like heavy, heavy stuff. And it's funny that you said you didn't think you would live until you were 30. I didn't think I would live to be 25, and I'm 40. Yeah, so well, about to be. I just aged myself by like two weeks. I wish you'd be able to do it. I'm 39 and like seven and a half eighths, whatever, whatever that turns out to. 11 and a half twelfths. Yeah, so it's just, you know, and it's so funny. Well, it's not funny when you're in it by any means, when you're in the the dark space, because it feels so impossible, right? It's like, how's my life ever going to be any different? I'm gonna be stuck like this forever. You don't see any way out, you don't see any light coming in, you're just stuck, and it feels like you're drowning for so long. I felt like I was suffocating, you know, and it and I never really like you know, when I said I had ideations, when I reflect back on that, I never wanted to die. I wanted the pain to stop. That's all I just wanted to stop hurting so much, and I had no tools, I had no awareness, and many of us didn't because we weren't taught it, you know, and you don't know what you don't learn. Most of us were taught very opposing things to what would actually help and benefit us. So it I mean, it's no wonder that we were in those spaces at those times and felt the way that we felt. But I'm so glad that so many of us continued on the path and just continued fighting to get to where we are now because now, and it and what's really interesting to me, I don't know if you feel this way, so tell me if you do, but it seems like so many of us are coming, like we're all kind of rising simultaneously to each other. Have you noticed that? Like, every there's a lot of people on the path that are all just like collectively rising and their spirituality and their healing and their visibility and the things that they bring to the world to help change it.

SPEAKER_01

And it's so cool. Absolutely. And it's it's like you said, it's tough when you're going through it. But for people like us who are healers, like how can we help heal people if we don't go through hell ourselves, right? But we went through that hell, whatever that looked like for us, and got through to the other side, which is such a beautiful transition to see that light at the end of the tunnel, to see what possibility there is out there and how good it can get. And you don't see that when you're going through it, but it is possible for everybody. And you just have to take that first step and do the work and invest in yourself, as I like to say, because this is your life. You can make it whatever you want it to be, but you have to make that first step, right? And I do I do notice that a lot of us are rising up at the same time, but through the channeled messages that I've been getting and the messages from spirit and everything, that that's what 2026 is all about. Like we just finished the year of the snake where we shed all the old stuff that we don't need that we can't take forward with us, ended a chapter, started the year of the fire horse, it's a year one in the cycle, and now the game has changed. Now it is game time. Now everybody is stepping into their power, they're starting to figure out how they can be of service to humanity because there's gonna be so many changes happening this year, and all of us are so needed. And even though it might not feel like we're making any steps forward, we're building the foundation for when humanity is ready. And that's what we're going through right now. This year is gonna be so amazing. There's so many good things coming in. And I don't know if you realize it, but the the messages that you put up on your Facebook that I follow, that I see, like all of the things that you're saying are resonating with all of the channel messages that have been coming through. And that's another reason why I was attracted to your message so much, is because whether you realize it or not, like you are right on par with everything that we've been pulling through, that we've been saying, that the energies that are coming through, and it's it is truly beautiful to watch this whole thing kind of unfold with everyone.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, that's amazing. I didn't know that it was resonating with the messages that you were receiving. So I really appreciate hearing that. Channeling messages is something that I'm more newly coming into. More so, I should rather say more so learning to trust it, right? Learning to decipher and learning to trust that what I'm receiving is being received, being delivered by spirit and not just my mind making it up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we all know that.

SPEAKER_03

That's yeah, yeah, it's it's a it's an interesting journey. But so no, I didn't know that, and I'm really glad to hear that. I definitely know that I'm in full resonance with what I say, you know, like I very deeply believe so much of my messaging is about coming into wholeness, and I genuinely believe that that is what humanity needs at its core, is people to be in their full power and their wholeness, and that's how we're really gonna be able to see so many things here in the 3D that need to shift, shift. And yeah, I believe that we're just doing uh such good work, and I know that some people may not be seeing it, but I feel like I'm seeing it, and and sometimes I question is that just because you know, I have so many people around me within the community, and so I'm hearing a lot of us, but I don't think that's what it is. I think that we are genuinely making the transition, like we're on the path forward, on the right direction, you know, like you said, building the foundation so that we can take off for this fire year, fire horse year, year one, year ten too, which I cannot remember the significance of the zero, but there's something about 10 is also important, even though it technically is a year one, also, but it's also a year ten. I don't know if you know about that.

SPEAKER_01

I I don't know about the 10, but I do know about the one. But usually, even when you take like one and then 111 and 1111, like the the basic one is what's important, and then it just kind of compounds on each other. So whatever zero means, which is usually like infinite possibilities and you know new beginnings, but also like anything is possible and the world is your oyster and you get to choose a direction. So typically, and and I'm just saying that from like an Aces tarot perspective. I don't really know if that's true or not, but but it's all good stuff and it all kind of relates to each other for this for this what I'm getting about for this year. Yeah, hell yeah. I love them. So when we talked before, we talked about your psychology background as well. And that's one of the things that I love about what I do is because I have a master's in psychology, so I intertwine the science with the spirituality a lot. So can you kind of tell me a little bit more about your psychology background and how that incorporates into what you do now?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so I'm not like a trained psychologist. I didn't go to school for psychology. However, the model that I was talking about that I trained in that was a psychologist that put that together. So basically, she was within her own practice. Going through the traditional Western medicine therapeutic model with her clients and witnessing that it was taking them forever, basically. And she was like, I need to help people move through this more quickly. And being a spiritual person, she started to weave what she calls grounded spirituality, right? Grounded spirituality into it along with other modalities. So energetics got brought in, you know, and all of these different like neurosciences and different layers got blended into all of it. So my psychology background, outside of me rabbit holing, because I've always enjoyed psychology very much. I wanted to be a therapist when I was younger. I wanted to be a lot of things, if we're being honest. But yeah, but I definitely wanted to be a therapist. That was my favorite class in high school. I ended up pregnant at 18, so that whole path of my journey shifted very much, and I did not go that direction. But yeah, so I wouldn't say that I have like a clear psychology background. My background is more through the work that I learned through the model I trained in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Well, I mean, even though you didn't have a formal education, like that's still part of your healing process, right? Yeah. And and it's interesting because I've noticed the difference between traditional therapy, which I've I think everyone should have a therapist. Well, at least I did. I thought everyone should have a therapist, even therapists need a therapist. And everybody needs somebody that they can talk to who's unbiased, who can give you a different perspective. And honestly, that's how I started reading tarot cards was I was using the cards as a way for people to look at their problems from a different perspective. And it's interesting because giving the cards permission to show you things and have it tangibly in front of you is different than me giving you advice or whatever. Like I could give you advice all day, but to see the cards and be like, okay, this is what the cards mean, let's look at your problem from a different perspective was how I started with that. And that was before I even realized how much of a good spiritual tool it was. This was when I was still in more of my science background. But I have noticed that when I started doing energy work and inner child healing and shadow work and stuff like that with people. Even for myself, like I did a QHHT session, and I know I've talked about this on the show before, but we haven't talked about it. I did a QHHT session. I visited a past life where I was buried alive. They thought I was a witch, I was 18, whatever. But carrying that energy into this lifetime, I was afraid of the dark. I was super claustrophobic. My pillow couldn't even touch my nose when I was sleeping. Don't ask me to sit with my back to the door in a restaurant. Like it was very prevalent. And once I healed that past life and realized what the root of the problem was, almost immediately, because I do ghost hunting, I go out in cemeteries at night a lot. I wouldn't go by myself. I was my imagination would go crazy. And almost immediately I wasn't afraid anymore about anything. And I went when we I was I just got back from England. And when we were in England, we went into some caves, which has always been terrifying for me. And I literally had zero problems. So when you do the energy healing and you do the work from this other angle, it's amazing how quickly you get results and how quickly you see the change versus traditional therapy and session after session after just talking and talking and talking. This different modality is just so effective.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they really, really are. And I don't want to sound like I'm shitting on therapy, right? It's like I feel like therapy has its place, but I feel like there's just so many other, like you said, so many other angles to approach it from. That's not just like let's talk for an hour every week about your trauma, you know. Um and it's funny you just brought up QHHT because I just came across that this weekend I was at a cosmic connection conference and there was a QHHT practitioner there. I did not have a session because I was facilitating and I didn't have time, but I'm hoping to have a session with her because I would like to see. I think that's amazing that you had a session and then just like cleared that. That's incredible. And yeah, I feel like we carry so much from past lives, from other people in our in our lineage that we end up taking on their shit and carrying it, and we don't even know why or where it came from, or you know, it doesn't even make sense necessarily to our personal upbringing. And I just actually came across something else that somebody actually wants to train me in. It's called Family Constellation Systems. Have you heard of that before?

SPEAKER_01

I have actually.

SPEAKER_03

Have you ever done it?

SPEAKER_01

I haven't done it. I I just did an episode right before I left for England with someone who does Yani, which is like the female reproductive system, but she does she does Yani constellation, but she was talking about this whole modality that I had never heard of before. And we were talking about doing a session when I got back. I need to get in touch with her actually. But I I don't know if this is the same thing or not, but I know that like I came here in this lifetime to be a generational curse breaker for my ancestral line. And when I've done my inner child healing, when I've done the healing for all of these things that have happened in my life that run in the family, what's great about the fact that time doesn't actually exist is that when I do my healing and set the intention, that healing ripples back in time and can actually heal the people in my ancestral line who weren't able to heal themselves.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah. So I I don't know a whole lot about family constellation systems yet, but from my understanding, it is essentially working with the energies of people in your lineage. So other people, it's not role-playing. I always want to say role-playing, but other you work with other people and they assume the energies, but not in like a scary way that they're fully taking them on, and you go through it in some way or another. I wish I had a better way of explaining this. It's like you do this thing, and then this thing happens. Um but basically at the end of the day, the premise is that you clear generational patterns that you've been carrying from seven years prior, like one to seven years prior from you, and or generations from you, I mean, and one to seven generations ahead of you, too. Because of course, as you clear it, then it's not going to continue passing on and passing on and passing on, but it's also clearing in the past as well.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_03

So wild, and my brain can't fully wrap around how all of the things work, you know. Like yesterday I had a spinal energetic session. I don't know if you've ever had that or heard of that.

SPEAKER_01

I've heard of it, but I haven't personally had one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so I had that, and it's just so mind-boggling sometimes, you know, because like I lived, I'll tell you this. If you, if you took me today and showed me today to me like a decade ago, I would have thought I lost my damn mind. I'd have been like, this girl is psychotic. What happened to you? You're losing it, girl. You're tripping. Because I was very logical, I was very just like, yeah, I was just very logic-heavy, everything. And I mean, logic has its place, it's important. Like, we need the brain. It's not like we don't want the brain at all, but dang, dang, yeah. So anyway, the spinal energetic session blew my brain open because, and it was virtual, it wasn't even in person, right? And she's just doing her thing. My eyes are closed. I'm on the on the massage table, just receiving, and my body is just moving in like the most interesting ways. And at points, I feel pain, but not like insane pain, but I could feel like something was trying to get out, right? It was trying to get out of me. And as I would surrender to it, which is something I'm practicing, surrender. I hope that's not a forever practice. And I actually nail it, but but yes, I fell into surrender yesterday, and as I did that, like it just all was coming out of me, and then I had this huge emotional release, and it and I felt amazing afterwards, you know, and I was just like, What did you do? How? Like, I don't understand, you know, often even though I practice energy work, you know, I was doing that, but it's just it's just so mind-boggling sometimes because my logical mind is like, What? How? Explain, explain all the science.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I will say that surrender was a big lesson for me as well, and there's many different layers to it. Every time I thought I had surrendered, there would be another test to have to surrender to, and eventually you get to a place where you're just like, Okay, let's just do it, whatever. It's fine. I know everything's gonna work out, let's jump in. But yeah, I I get that. Like, uh, I've been through energy clearing sessions. There's a friend of mine who does energy clearing, and like uh even me and my partner, like when you have pain, you we've learned to channel the pain because everything is energy and everything has consciousness. So you go through, you you connect with the pain, and you're like, hey, uh, thank you for being here. We appreciate you bringing something to our attention. Like, why are you here? What do you need us to learn? What are you trying to say? And they'll tell you. And it's amazing because when you uh figure out what that is and you let them be heard, uh, you can like yesterday I had a migraine and uh we channeled the the pain, we figured out what it was saying, and immediately it just was gone. Uh and it's like I dealt with it all day, and I'm like, there's no way that I have enough control over my vessel to make this up, A, and to be it have it be so strong that it just goes away. Like migraines don't work that way. I'm sorry, that's just not how it works. So it is really interesting to like go through those experiences and be like, what the heck just happened?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, for sure. And I'm a big believer that like the issues live in the tissues, you know. So when we experience things like pains or sensations, emotions, for example, usually show up as a physical sensation in the body. And it's it's really amazing because you know, that's very similar to emotional processing. It's like meeting it, you know, getting to know it or parts work or whatever. It's it's meeting that thing with compassion and getting to know it. Like, hey, thank you for being here. I appreciate you. Like, thank you, anxiety, for showing up. What are you trying to communicate with me?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_03

And then just sitting with it and allowing it to move and allowing it to communicate. And ugh, it's just so good, but it's so crazy because whoever taught any of us, right?

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Whoever what did you learn when you cried? Either stop, or I'm gonna give you something to cry about. A lot of us heard that one, or like you get handed a tissue here, wipe your tears and just stop. And it's like, no, there's there's so much more to it. There's so much more to it. But and I think that's the thing is like we our society tries to make so much of this so complicated and so hard, and it's so much more simple. I don't want to say everything's easy, right? Because things are sometimes they're challenging for sure, but so many of the tools that so many of us have needed for so long are so simple.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Like, oh, who told me to just like talk to my knee because it's hurting? What? Right.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. And I've noticed a lot of things in the in the spiritual journey are like that. Like humans have a tendency to overcomplicate everything. Like it really is as simple as just talk to it and figure out what it wants, what it needs. But always remember to give compassion and love and and gratitude because that's the basis for everything. But yeah, just it's don't think about it so much. Just the simplest answer is usually the right answer, whatever feels right in your heart. Like and uh whatever you've been taught obviously hasn't been working, so just try it out, see what happens.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, do it, listeners, do it. You'll thank us later, I promise.

SPEAKER_01

It sounds silly, but it works. And I've had to do the same thing with my mind and my heart. Like, like you said, there's a place and a time for logic, and we still need our brains, but as we evolve and as we raise our vibration, the the role of that changes. So I've had to like visualize my my ego, my inner child, my heart and my mind, and be like, hey, thank you for being here. Everything you've done so far has been awesome. Thank you for your support. But this is things are gonna change, and this is how we have to adapt. And you're not losing any importance. We're just changing the job description a little bit, and let's all get on the same page. And it sounds silly to talk to your heart, what to talk to your mind, your ego, what like, but it does work, it does actually work.

SPEAKER_03

It works so much, it works so much. I mean, you can unlock so many things when you start talking to yourself. So I some of the listeners might be like, What the hell? Talk to yourself, yes, talk to yourself, talk to your body, get to know it. There's so much information in there, and it's so true, it's just a job role change, like you said. It's like, I think for so long, so many of us are letting all of those parts of us drive the car, right? They're operating the vehicle, and we're just along for the ride. And I don't know if you've ever seen that meme of the kid on the roller coaster, and they're like freaking out. Like, that's what it feels like a lot of times when you're letting everything else drive your car. You're you're letting your brain drive the car, you're letting your ego drive the car, the nervous system is driving, everything is driving the car, your emotions are driving the car, your trauma is driving the car. And what's crazy is that like most of the time the version of you that's actually driving the car is like four, seven, ten, you know, fifteen. It's like these young little versions of you that are operating the vehicle. And it's really just about becoming the driver again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely. It's it's about becoming a master of your own life and everything about you, and learning to find a way to make these systems work for you and be the one in control.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, because before we do that, sorry if I cut you off. No, you're good. Before we do that, is so much suffering, girl. Suffering. And I believe that so much of our suffering comes from the brain, the brain trying to make stories up, trying to because that's just what it does. It's a computer, you know, it's basically like just trying to find the problems and the solutions. And yeah, I mean, if we just let that thing drive the car all the time and we don't learn how to really operate it, right? So, like, I think so many of us, uh, I don't know if you resonate with this, but for a really long, long time, I thought I was my thoughts. Like, whatever came into my brain, I thought that was just like me, me thinking that it meant something about me. And I think when you learn that you're not your thoughts and you learn how to, like you said, master, master all of these things or master your inner world, like what I teach, it's like it just completely changes the dynamic, the relationship with your mind, with yourself. And over time, certainly not like right away, but as you build these skills and this mastery, your brain, your thoughts do really shift, you know, like they become like my brain is so much more quiet than it ever used to be. It used to just run and run and run and run and run, and I got you know diagnosed with a lot of things over this.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, all the diagnoses.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, it's just like like I have people in my community who are like, how's my ADHD getting better? Because that's obviously not like my focus. I'm not like, hey, neurodivergence, come in here and I'll I'll make your ADHD better. But it's just a it's a oh, I'm losing the word, but it's just like an added bonus, right? Because you're it's all slowing down because you're not letting it all drive you, and now you get to choose the speed limit on the road, basically, and yeah, not not be like that little kid on the roller coaster.

SPEAKER_01

As fun as that sounds, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I I love roller coasters. So do I.

SPEAKER_01

But um, yeah, I think that because I have I have ADHD like super hard, so I get it. Mine was always racing and racing and racing. And it didn't happen overnight, but with time, as you start to make these perspective shifts and you look at the world a different way, look at yourself a different way, and know that you don't have to be attached to these thoughts. And half of them aren't yours anyway, more than half of them. So over time it did start to slow down and slow down and slow down, and then you learn to, like I said, make it work for you, not against you. And it's a process, it takes conscious effort, but it does help, it does work.

SPEAKER_03

It does work, and it is a process, and it does definitely take conscious effort. There's, you know, I think sometimes people they try things and they really, and I get it, you want that relief, you want to feel better, and so there's this expectation of like I'm gonna do this once or twice, and it's just gonna boom, like fix it all and make it all better. And it's it's really a practice as a skill that you have to build, but over time, man, is it ever life-changing? Like, I I couldn't ever imagine that there would be a day where my mind felt fairly still, and I mean, granted, your mind's always running, you know, like what is it that you have like a hundred thousand thoughts a day or something like that, and you're unconscious of the majority of them. It might be a higher number. A lot, you have a lot of thoughts in a day, and you're normally not conscious of most of them, but you typically are very conscious of those really negative ones, right? They're the ones that we tend to like grab and hold on to and build a story about and end up in suffering over.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_03

But they I guess it's because those reduce. Maybe that's what it is. Maybe it's not so much that my brain's actually quieter, so to speak. I just don't have that same like chronic negative looping in my brain like I used to, and the constant worry and the constant anxiety, and all of these things running amok up there that it doesn't feel much more so fall away, like what's left, you know.

SPEAKER_01

That if that was what was taking up most of your thoughts, now you just have what's left, which is more quiet.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, far more it's it's far more peaceful over here. And peace, I really think that peace, you know. I feel like uh sorry, my dog is now barking. I knew that was gonna happen. Sorry, girl.

SPEAKER_00

It's all good.

SPEAKER_03

It kind of kind of pulled my thought away. It distracted me. I don't remember what I was doing.

SPEAKER_00

We were talking about peace. It was just interrupted. Peace.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, the universe. Funny one, funny one. Yeah, I was just gonna say, yeah, I think for for so long, and I think a lot of people will resonate with this, I was seeking happiness, right? This eternal happiness. I just wanted to be happy 24-7 all of the time. And what I learned is what I was really seeking was peace. Because happy, happy comes and goes. It's an emotion, you know, like the rest of them. They they come, they go, they communicate, they flee. They're not like constant. But peace can really hold and stay with all of the emotions, right? You can be sad and still be at peace. You can be in grief and still be in peace. You can there's so it I don't know. It's I agree.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely. Peace and freedom, great things. Hell yeah, girl.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, freedom, something that we all seek, right?

SPEAKER_01

We all seek, absolutely, and it is it is attainable. You just have to you just have to get there.

SPEAKER_03

It is attainable, and I think that's so important to hear, you know, is like the external worlds, there's a lot, there's a lot of things that go on, and it's really easy to get like sucked into all of it in a way that it pulls you out of your peace or makes you feel like peace is unattainable to begin with. Yeah, but it really isn't. You really can find internal peace. You really can.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And no matter what's going on in your external circumstances, you can still be at peace at least on the inside.

SPEAKER_01

And once you find it on the inside, it will start to reflect on the outside. But you have to find it in first, yep.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, 100%. It will definitely start to show itself externally because our external world is really just a reflection of our internal.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, absolutely.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. So do you want to share with people how they can find you, what you're up to, things like that?

SPEAKER_03

Sure. Yeah. So this is always still so weird for me. Okay, well, on TikTok, if you want to find me on TikTok, you can find me at healing bestie Christina. Instagram and Facebook are the same, but there's a P at the end because they didn't have Healing Bestie Christina available. So it's Healing Bestie Christina P. And by the way, my Christina is spelled with a K, K-R-I-S-T-I-N-A. And on there you can find my other links. So if you're interested in the community, that's a community on school on the school platform, S-K-O-O-L, not the traditional way you spell it, the cool way, like Christina with a K. And the community on there is called Manifest from Wholeness. But you can also find it through my social pages.

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. I'll make sure all that stuff is in the description too, so people can have the links available.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, sweet.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Amazing.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much for being on the show today. This has been an absolute pleasure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, me too. Thanks for being my first podcast girl. Whoop whoop.

SPEAKER_01

Of course.

SPEAKER_03

We broke the barrier. We struck the window of tolerance. We did it. No, thank you. It's actually it's it's been really fun. I really enjoyed this. Thank you so much.

SPEAKER_01

Of course. You're welcome. And maybe we'll have to do this again for sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I would love that.

SPEAKER_01

Thanks for hanging out with me today. If you're an empath or a highly sensitive person, if you feel everything and you've spent most of your life trying to manage that or diminish it instead of using it, I want you to know that's exactly who I built my work for. If you're feeling heavy, foggy, or like you're carrying something you can't name, an energy clearing session might be exactly what you need. It's one hour, and most people describe it as feeling lighter than they have felt in months. I'll put the link in the show notes. And if you want to go deeper into the full journey of understanding your energy body, your sensitivity, and how to actually work with it instead of against it, the self spirit method is my 14 step program that I built for exactly that. You can start for free inside the school community. The link is in the show notes. I'll catch you in the next episode. Until then, trust what you know.
