Hi everyone. Welcome back to the Irene Podcast.
If you're here today, I wanna start by saying there's nothing wrong with you here@irenegpt.ai, we wanna focus on helping you to regain your confidence to restore and renew who you really, really are. And to help you to see that healing is possible and happiness is possible. Again, learning to trust yourself after emotional harm can feel confusing and slow.
Today we're gonna talk about why that happens and how trust can be rebuilt. Many people think that self-trust disappears because they made bad choices, but self-trust is taken from us slowly, it is chipped away by being questioned, corrected, or made to feel wrong about our feelings. There was a time when I doubted every decision I made, what to say, how to respond, even how to feel.
I believe that other people do better than I did. When somebody is consistently violating you invades your reality, it disrupts your nervous system, and you start to think that that's just how life is. That's just what we have to put up with if we're in a relationship that's just. Part of being in a relationship, but in my experience, that's not true.
You can be with somebody who truly loves you, respects you. You can have that same kind of love and respect and dignity for yourself. Self-trust is not about being right all the time. It's about believing that your experience matters. You can trust yourself even if you're unsure. For a lot of years, I felt like a fraud because for.
A time I was treated as if I had nothing valuable to say that my words didn't hold weight, that I didn't, I couldn't make an impact if I spoke. So I, I didn't, I didn't speak, I didn't speak up for myself. I didn't speak for myself. I just let others control things because that was easier for me at the time.
All the while I didn't realize that all that was doing was decreasing my, my own personal mental health and decreasing my confidence in myself. Once I started to heal from the things that I had been through, I started to see myself in a new light. I started to see that my words did have value. I started to see that my experiences did give me a perspective that changed my life.
I was able to see. That through work, through those little things that help build your confidence, whether it's speaking up about a subject that normally you might not, or helping somebody else who's in a similar situation to speak up for themselves. It might not be you specifically speaking up, but you can feel empowered by helping empower others.
So for me, once I started speaking up and speaking out, then the confidence just flooded. And I was, I was feeling more capable. I was feeling more valuable. Not that my value had ever diminished, but I was, it was hidden and I didn't see it. The more I spoke, the louder that my words were to me,
trusting myself in my words and my ability has gotten me to a point in my life where I can share my power and my strengths with other people. It starts with little decisions. What you want to eat, when you need to rest, when something fills off. Notice when your res, when notice when your body responds before your mind does.
Okay? Notice when your body responds. Responds before your mind does. So sometimes will be in a situation and we'll feel a physical response before we can even figure out what's happening in our mind. Irene was built to support this exact moment. When you're unsure of how to respond, when you need clarity, instead of chaos, when the words are just not coming to you, trust grows.
When you feel safe enough to pause. This week, I want you to practice a small yes to yourself. Listen, when your body says, no, honor that feeling. You are not broken. Your trust was interrupted. Now it's time for you to regain that trust in yourself. You are beautiful, worthy, and capable. You can rebuild one moment at a time.
Here at Irene, we just want you to know you are loved and you're worthy. God bless.
