Ark House team members and host's Richard and Sam are joined by former English professional footballer LEE CROOKS who made 282 competitive appearances in his playing career in the top four divisions of English football. At the age of 32 he embarked on a new career in the British Armed Forces. He has battled his own addiction issues and joins us today to talk about how his life sprialed out of control, and how he got things back on track.
We are proud to work alongside some of the countrys leading alcohol and drug services in the UK and on this episode we catch up with MATTHEW BUTLER who is the Connecting Communities Lead with RwNew in Hull. He speaks all about how volunteering can be a game changer in addiction recovery. He also tells us about his very own podcast he runs with ReNew called Believe In People which has won several awards. We also chat to GAVIN, who is on his recovery journey after graduating from Ark House. He is here to offer advice to others who may be struggling returning to life outside the rehab bubble.
