Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Did we go out? Yes. Are we paying for it in the form of physical interest rates? Also, yes.
The one where Nat and Fern recap a night out that started with a "casual dinner" suggestion and ended with Fern "observing" the club from a seated position for 12 minutes. We’re breaking down the high stakes of putting on jeans, the mystery of why a smartphone suddenly weighs 40 pounds the next morning, and why being "well-rested adjacent" is a valid medical personality.
Grab your Gatorade, find your heating pad, and join us for a post-night-out post-mortem. We aren't old; we just have boundaries. (And maybe some neck issues.)
Don’t forget to like, follow, and send electrolytes.
Welcome back to Limitless Table Talk, where we talk about life, marriage, travel, and today, poor decisions after 10 p.m. I'm Fern.
SPEAKER_03And I'm Nat. So grab your favorite cup of coffee or whatever it is you're sipping on today. Maybe it's tea, maybe it's something iced, maybe it's just vibes in a cup. No judgment here because you already know once we start, it's probably going to go left really, really fast.
SPEAKER_08So fast. So fast. So let's first of all let's be very clear. There were no poor decisions after 10 p.m. And I feel great.
SPEAKER_03You took a nap sitting up the other day.
SPEAKER_08That was not a nap. That was strategic I reset.
SPEAKER_03You were snoring.
SPEAKER_08I was breathing with confidence.
SPEAKER_03Let's start from the beginning. Who in the world suggested we go out late?
SPEAKER_08You did.
SPEAKER_03Don't lie to the people now.
SPEAKER_08You said, and I quote, we should go out and have fun. We deserve it. Let's party like it's 1999.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. It was seven o'clock, and I meant dinner, dinner fern, not a full nightlife documentary.
SPEAKER_08Well, you know, once I put jeans on, we are fully committed.
SPEAKER_03That's another thing. Why are jeans now a life decision?
SPEAKER_08Because jeans mean I can't breathe fully. Which means it's a commitment.
SPEAKER_03That makes I mean, I don't understand. It's like I don't want to put on jeans. I was just gonna put on like whatever shorts and a shirt, like leggings, to go to dinner. Dinner. So, whatever. We get there, it's loud, it's packed, and immediately I knew already that we still got it. Absolutely not. That this was a mistake. Speak for yourself. I was in my element. What element? What sitting down 12 minutes after we had just got in there? We had just got in there, and you were already looking to see where you were gonna sit.
SPEAKER_08Well, I mean, every every place needs to have a place to sit because that's how I What?
SPEAKER_03Every place needs to have a place to sit?
SPEAKER_08Yes. Because there's you already know you already know, and we've talked about this in the past. If there's no place to sit, we're not being there.
SPEAKER_03We shouldn't have been there. I just wanted to go to dinner.
SPEAKER_08It was a good time. And you know what? I sat down.
SPEAKER_03I felt like I go ahead.
SPEAKER_08And I was observing.
SPEAKER_03You were aging in real time.
SPEAKER_08I was conserving my energy for later.
SPEAKER_03What? What? Later. We left right before midnight.
SPEAKER_08That is responsible nightlife.
SPEAKER_03No, responsible nightlife would have been being home by 9.30 with snacks to me.
SPEAKER_08You wanted to go out.
SPEAKER_03I wanted to go to dinner.
SPEAKER_08You wanted to partake.
SPEAKER_03I wanted to go to the bh.
SPEAKER_08B.
SPEAKER_03I would have been fine going to Outback, but no, we had to drive 45 minutes away. Fine parking. Get out of the car.
SPEAKER_08Which, by the way, you gotta say, I found parking pretty quick. Also, what about that craziness in the parking lot, right? All right. That was crazy talk in the parking lot.
SPEAKER_03People that were arguing over a parking space.
SPEAKER_08I mean, literally.
SPEAKER_03Get out of there.
SPEAKER_08It's a real thing. You know, you you you think that it's not real until you actually see it.
SPEAKER_03We never see it until we actually see it. Okay, okay, okay. So let's let's do this. So we're driving in the parking lot, and all of a sudden we did see a black pickup truck start backing up. Like, right? And he was just backing up into a space. And then no, no, no. He was backing up on the Oh, yeah, yeah. In the road. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08He was parking in in the in the in the lot.
SPEAKER_03In the parking lot. He was just driving backwards.
SPEAKER_08Or as or as our friends across the pond would call it, a car park.
SPEAKER_03Well, anyways, he was just driving backward for a while. Like he had seen a space open up, it looks like. And behind. Right. So he starts backing up.
SPEAKER_05He's like, that's a car leaving.
SPEAKER_03And another car is backing up into that space already. While the pickup is backing up. And finally, when the pickup arrives to that space, he starts backing into the space. So now we have two cars backing up into the same space.
SPEAKER_08Hilarious.
SPEAKER_03And we're watching this happen.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03So the people in the little car both get out of the car. It was a lady and a guy.
SPEAKER_08They both jump out.
SPEAKER_03And go up to the pickup truck. Mind you, I'm like, this is how people get killed in parking lots.
SPEAKER_08This is this is not a good thing.
SPEAKER_03But we stayed and watched.
SPEAKER_08Yes. As we should. I mean, listen, that's how you start off a responsible night of partying. You have to watch other people get into it.
SPEAKER_03We're like, nobody's behind us. We're just gonna watch. We're just gonna stay. We got front row scenes. The person in the pickup never got out of there.
SPEAKER_08If we had popcorn, it would have been the perfect show.
SPEAKER_03We were like, do we need to go that way or this way?
SPEAKER_08And then I was like, oh, there's a space over there. Let's go.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but whatever. You ruined it.
SPEAKER_08So, anyways, I wanted to park.
SPEAKER_03Whatever. Anyways. So, anyways, so yes, we did go party, party, whatever. So, let's talk about, because this is why we are here. Let's talk about the next day. The aftermath of going out.
SPEAKER_08What aftermath? There is no aftermath. First of all, why is this a f uh uh uh like like like a like a movie, you see?
SPEAKER_07It's like a movie. The aftermath.
SPEAKER_03Because it felt like one.
SPEAKER_07The aftermath.
SPEAKER_03I it felt like one.
SPEAKER_07One night. One couple before midnight. The next day. Oh, hey, how you doing? I feel terrible. It's the aftermath.
SPEAKER_03Will you stop it?
SPEAKER_08Listen, I feel completely normal. I felt completely, completely normal.
SPEAKER_03You woke up and said, and I quote, whoa, that is so loud. I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_08I'm so sorry. That was that was that was such a genuine because I know what you're gonna say. And I quote, I know what you're gonna say.
SPEAKER_03My neck is disrespecting me.
SPEAKER_07I don't believe you.
SPEAKER_03I don't you stretched for like seven to ten minutes, like you were preparing for the Olympics.
SPEAKER_08It's called mobility.
SPEAKER_03You made noises getting off the couch.
SPEAKER_08Everybody makes noises getting off a couch.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no, no. Not like that day. That was a full sound effect pack.
SPEAKER_08That was necessary expression.
SPEAKER_03No, that was thought of. Do I really need to get up? And your body said no.
SPEAKER_08Uh, I don't think so.
SPEAKER_03I remember you taking a couple of the leaves.
SPEAKER_01But whatever. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You see, nobody warned me that one night out now requires about three to five business day recovery period from being sore.
SPEAKER_08I am not that sore.
SPEAKER_03Okay. You see how you get yourself in trouble? Then why did you say ow when you picked up your phone?
SPEAKER_08Because it surprised me.
SPEAKER_03Wait a minute. The phone surprised you.
SPEAKER_08Yes. It was it was oddly heavier than I expected it to be.
SPEAKER_03It's the same phone you've had for like a year and a half.
SPEAKER_08Well, today it came with extra attitude.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, that that's what we're going with.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. It you know, it was like the attitude era of WWE.
SPEAKER_03Like that's it just had a lot of you're sticking to this.
SPEAKER_08It just had a lot of attitude. It was like you any day when you just wake up and say, Oh, what's happening today?
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_05Are you getting out of bed or what?
SPEAKER_03Um you I can't even no, I don't know. I can't, I can't, I don't I don't know. I feel like you're on your own thing.
SPEAKER_08Am I?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_08I mean how often do we do the thing where we go out and then all of a sudden the music is just the whole time.
SPEAKER_03No, not often. That's why we don't go at all to places. Only you want to hear it because then you can't hear anything for three days. And I'm going, what? And what? Because I can't hear.
SPEAKER_08But I mean, you're not used to like loud things.
SPEAKER_03I don't like it. I don't know. I'm not, I guess. How did we like this before?
SPEAKER_08I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Well, I do people like this period.
SPEAKER_08Well, I don't know why people like it. I'm just gonna say that.
SPEAKER_03Like, why is the music so loud?
SPEAKER_08I I like loud music, but I'm a concert person. So I I love like not being able to hear for three to five business days.
SPEAKER_03Look, I hate having to repeat myself four or five times because a person couldn't hear me. What? Exactly. And then you know has it ever happened to you that you're like yelling to the person so they can hear you, and all of a sudden the music stops?
SPEAKER_05And you're like, ah la la.
SPEAKER_07Sorry. Uh the music was loud.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Meanwhile, younger people are out there living their best life with no consequences.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, because they don't know about recovery yet.
SPEAKER_03Recovery from standing?
SPEAKER_07Exactly.
SPEAKER_08You know, it all adds up.
SPEAKER_03I don't understand. We used to be able to go out like Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday.
SPEAKER_08And we were fine. Fine, perfectly fine.
SPEAKER_03Okay, we were not fine. We were we just didn't feel it yet, I guess.
SPEAKER_08Speak for yourself. I've always been elite. I'm all elite.
SPEAKER_03Elite, really. That we're going with that?
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03Fern, you needed coffee, gatorate, and silence for the day.
SPEAKER_08That's just good planning.
SPEAKER_03No, that was just you showing that you're 48.
SPEAKER_06How dare you? How dare you?
SPEAKER_03I went there. I went there.
SPEAKER_08How dare you? Who do you even think you are?
SPEAKER_03I'm Nat. Why? Why are you looking at me?
SPEAKER_06How dare you?
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying. Oh, and I think what I'm just gonna skip that now. Um, ignoring you because you're staring at me. And then we decide laser beams.
SPEAKER_08Laser beams.
SPEAKER_03Another day, then we decide that it's the greatest idea. Let's go partying with our children. Because who can say they can go out partying with their kids as adults?
SPEAKER_08We can.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm saying, like, obviously, but we wanted to keep up with them. Everyone else in our group was leaving. Are you kidding?
SPEAKER_08We were rock stars.
SPEAKER_03Everyone in our group was leaving already early.
SPEAKER_08And I'm a rock star.
SPEAKER_03Younger than us. Older than our children.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03And our kids were still like, hey, party, potter, pottery.
SPEAKER_08And we were like, no, no, that was you. I was like old. No.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, okay. Anyways, you kept looking at like all I can hear is so much later still, I hear it. Mm-hmm. And we were like, oh yeah, we're gonna last here. We're gonna stay here with them. We're gonna stay. We can show. We can do it. We basically did. We basically did. And I think one of the reasons why we ended up staying longer also is because one of our daughters came with us. And we were like, she's not gonna want to leave early to then find out she was leaving with someone else.
SPEAKER_08Yep.
SPEAKER_03We could have left a long time ago.
SPEAKER_08Yep. Yep. Yep. Bad decisions.
SPEAKER_03Bad decisions.
SPEAKER_08Bad decisions.
SPEAKER_03But yeah.
SPEAKER_08I'll tell you what. I think we learned a lot about ourselves that day.
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_08That we need a lot of electrolytes.
SPEAKER_03I was like, my feet hurt. My lower back was hurting me already. I was a hot mess. I couldn't even move the next day. I didn't even want to talk to anyone. I didn't want to move. I didn't want to do anything.
SPEAKER_08I woke up perfectly fine.
SPEAKER_03Admit it, you were tired.
SPEAKER_08Nope. Not a bit.
SPEAKER_03You were tired. Admit it.
SPEAKER_08I am not tired.
SPEAKER_03Say it.
SPEAKER_08Nope.
SPEAKER_03Say you were tired.
SPEAKER_08I am hydrated.
SPEAKER_03That's not the same thing.
SPEAKER_08It's a well-rested adjacent.
SPEAKER_03Adjacent. That's that's really not a thing now.
SPEAKER_08It is now.
SPEAKER_03You fell asleep doing a commercial.
SPEAKER_08The commercial was long.
SPEAKER_03It was 15 seconds.
SPEAKER_08Well, it felt like a documentary.
SPEAKER_03It was a 15-second commercial. The show's like we were watching something. We're still mourning. This is the next day after going out and partying, basically. And you said, I'm fine. Blah blah blah blah. And the show ended 15 seconds later.
SPEAKER_06You were like, inaccurate.
SPEAKER_03What? Don't lie to the people.
SPEAKER_08That's inaccurate. I fall. Listen, I'll fall asleep watching anything. At any time. Regardless. Doesn't matter what it is. I will fall asleep every time.
SPEAKER_03But then yeah, well, that is true. But then here we have 20-year-olds. Are you yawning? Are you yawning? Did I catch you? You are lucky we're not on video yet. We will be one day, but you are yawning.
SPEAKER_08Nope. That was a sigh. No, I was a sigh.
SPEAKER_03I saw it happen. Oh my gosh, I'm speechless. You have me speechless right now. Oh my gosh, guys. I'm like, I'm like, whatever. Anyways, anyways. You couldn't even walk normal.
SPEAKER_08I never walk normal. What's wrong with you?
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. The problem was it was more like a you shuffled to the kitchen like a haunted house character. Mm-hmm. And it was not stealth mode. It was a haunted house. Like you belonged in the Disney haunted mansion.
SPEAKER_08That makes sense.
SPEAKER_04Because I'm all about the wonderful world of Disney.
SPEAKER_03Okay. What would you say if someone said let's go out tonight? Or let's go out Saturday night.
SPEAKER_08Let's go.
SPEAKER_03You're not gonna ask at what time or anything? You're just gonna say let's go to the house.
SPEAKER_08Okay, what time?
SPEAKER_0311:30.
SPEAKER_08Absolutely not. That's disrespectful.
SPEAKER_03So you were tired for sure, then.
SPEAKER_08I am not tired. I just have boundaries and I've learned my lesson.
SPEAKER_03That doesn't sound right. You just said you weren't tired.
SPEAKER_08I'm not tired. I just have boundaries.
SPEAKER_03You have boundaries. Yes. That's I see. Your boundary is bedtime?
SPEAKER_08My boundary is peace. My gosh, I just yawed again.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh. You turned your own self in. Oh my god. Okay, whatever. Your piece is basically pajamas at this point.
SPEAKER_08And what's wrong with that?
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_08It's so comfortable to be in pajamas. Oh, it's so comfortable. Okay, so it's so cozy.
SPEAKER_03The heck was that?
SPEAKER_08It's so cozy to be in pajamas.
SPEAKER_03I'm still back to why we would have thought of going out would have been a good idea. Like us going out, a good idea. Mind you, you are the person that wants to go eat at 6 o'clock, 5.30 for dinner.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03And we like being home by like 8 30.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03Our outings are like, oh, let's go like TJ Maxx or Marshall's.
SPEAKER_08Spectacular.
SPEAKER_03And we're back home by 9.30.
SPEAKER_08Perfect.
SPEAKER_03Who in the world thought that we can go an out after 10?
SPEAKER_08You.
SPEAKER_03Okay, whatever. I thought we could, but why wouldn't we? No, it wasn't me. Why are you trying to hold that way? Now you got me thinking it was me.
SPEAKER_08Because it was you.
SPEAKER_03I said I wanted to go to dinner.
SPEAKER_08No, no, you didn't. You said I wanna live it up. Live it up. Live it up. And you said it just like that.
SPEAKER_03I meant for like a different place to eat for dinner. Not the usual places we go to. Don't look at me like that.
SPEAKER_08I am looking at you like that. No. C.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_08C.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03You're the one that said, ooh, let's go out. What are the what is everybody up to? And then you know. 45 minutes later, drive, we ended up somewhere.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03And I'm like, I just wanted to eat dinner.
SPEAKER_08But you had a great time.
SPEAKER_03I didn't say I didn't. I had a good time.
SPEAKER_08And then I even said I had a great time.
SPEAKER_03We couldn't move the next day.
SPEAKER_08You couldn't move the next day.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna admit it one day. You're already yawning.
SPEAKER_08I was perfectly perfectly fine.
SPEAKER_03No, you were not.
unknownOh my god, whatever.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna go back and forth.
SPEAKER_08Yep.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, that's another. Anyways, I don't know why we brought this up.
SPEAKER_08The other thing is that you wanted this experience because you wanted to go to a cowboy bar. Like a cowboy place.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_08Where you can do line dancing. And not once did you line dance.
SPEAKER_03I like to people watch.
SPEAKER_08And I said, I said, oh, we should get you uh cowgirl boots. No, I don't want cowgirl boots. I said, we're going to a cow cowboy place. You should have cowgirl boots.
SPEAKER_03And I said, no, I don't want cowgirl boots. And I didn't get cowgirl boots. Why am I saying it so slow?
SPEAKER_08Because you're I well, anyways, our kids have gone to that place.
SPEAKER_03We've heard about it, and I said, why not? Fine. If you're gonna drag me out, why not, right?
SPEAKER_08So I'm gonna drag you out. You wanted to go there, and I made the necessary arrangements.
SPEAKER_03I mentioned it at one point.
SPEAKER_08You mentioned it multiple times.
SPEAKER_03Yes, but I figured we would go there before 9 p.m.
SPEAKER_08You say they don't open till 9 p.m.
SPEAKER_03Nobody gave me that information.
SPEAKER_08I gave you that information in the parking lot. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well then let's make things straight here. If we're gonna blame me for something, let's let's set the record straight here. In the parking lot.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03We still went. It makes no difference. We went in.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03We had a good time. My people watched. A lady fell trying to leave. That was hilarious. I did help her get up.
SPEAKER_08There was people dressed as cows as well, which was hilarious.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_08I don't understand that. They were they I was like, is this Chick fila? Where's Chick filla? They were celebrating a birthday.
SPEAKER_03They were celebrating a birthday in her friend's dress. Dressed up as chick uh as cows for some reason. I don't know. It must be an inside joke, maybe.
SPEAKER_08I don't know. It was kind of funny.
SPEAKER_03They were all dressed like cows.
SPEAKER_08And then there were people riding the bulls that should not have been riding the bulls.
SPEAKER_03See, I did not attempt that. First of all, you gotta get I gotta figure out how to get up there. And as soon as the bull thing starts, I was probably gonna fall.
SPEAKER_08You want to know what I didn't like about the whole process? What? About what I mean about what? Watching the process. You had to take your boots off or your shoes off. Oh, yeah, you had to take doing that in public places.
SPEAKER_03I would think for safety reasons.
SPEAKER_08Well, because the the mat is like uh uh what do you call it? Inflatable inflatable?
SPEAKER_03Like the bounce house, yeah, you can pop it, I guess, right?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, but I don't like that. Because I wouldn't want to take my boots off there.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_08It's just uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_08I well, you know what it takes to me for me to put on jeans and my boots? It takes a minute.
SPEAKER_03I see. But you looked cute.
SPEAKER_08You look cute.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm saying you looked cute that night.
SPEAKER_08I I tried. I wanted you to look at me and say, Look at that guy. Look at that guy. That is my guy. No, I don't know why I gave you a now I sound like you sound like you just came off the set of narcos.
SPEAKER_03I'm more concerned that my voice sounds like a guy's voice in your head than anything else, right now.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's like you looked at me and said, Oh, look at that cowboy right there. Oh, hell yeah. Oh my god, I can't cowboy, and I'm like, you know it, sister.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. The music wasn't bad. It was the DJ was really good, actually.
SPEAKER_08The music was pretty good, and you can do it. It's a little weird though, because it's like it's it's like hip hop.
SPEAKER_03And people are lighting it.
SPEAKER_08People are live dancing to it. That's something new to me.
SPEAKER_03It is to me too. Like, and then everybody knows the steps because it's the same steps over and over for every song.
SPEAKER_08Is it it? I think there was different different steps.
SPEAKER_03No, it was pretty much the same. It was side to side, forward, back, turn.
SPEAKER_08So it's like the key.
SPEAKER_03Side to side, almost, but it's just the way they I don't know, put their hands, I guess.
SPEAKER_08They boogie on.
unknownThey boogie on.
SPEAKER_08Is that is that the term boogie?
SPEAKER_03I don't know what the term is.
SPEAKER_08I don't know what the term is.
SPEAKER_03I'm trying to remember them dancing. I'm picturing them in my head.
SPEAKER_08They were doing the two-stair up bum bang dang dang bang.
SPEAKER_03And our daughter tried to get you to go out there to dance, but you wouldn't.
SPEAKER_08She's like, Papa, come, come, papa. Come dance with me, papa. I said, It's okay, daughter. We'll be alright. I don't know when I became Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02She does okay, okay. That one's a one. That one's a papa one.
SPEAKER_08She says, Papa.
SPEAKER_02That's right, that's right, that's right. Because we went with all with all of our children.
SPEAKER_08We went with all of our children. Well, not our son. Not the young boy. Not the young one.
SPEAKER_03We went with our daughters and friends.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm trying to picture. I'm still trying to picture the dancing here in my head.
SPEAKER_08Papa, come line dance with me. And I said, It's okay, daughter. We will not do that today.
SPEAKER_03Everyone, all the other ones were trying to get you to dance too.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you wouldn't go. Daddy, come dance, daddy.
SPEAKER_08He said no.
SPEAKER_03Dad, come dance.
SPEAKER_08He said, No, it's alright. I'll just, I'll just uh But they didn't dance.
SPEAKER_03Only one dance dance. They didn't dance. Only the one.
SPEAKER_08Only the one. Only the one.
SPEAKER_03Only one of them danced. The other ones did the same as us. Watched.
SPEAKER_08They just watched. The whole time.
SPEAKER_02Basically the same.
SPEAKER_08They just watched. They just people watched.
SPEAKER_02It was.
SPEAKER_08I mean, there was a lot of uh It was an interesting crowd. A lot of interesting is the word. Yes. Interesting is the word.
SPEAKER_03Interesting crowd.
SPEAKER_08I I you know it's funny because I felt so overdressed. And I was just wearing a cover. I was super overdressed.
SPEAKER_03I thought it was just mean.
SPEAKER_08But the one guy with the tank top that said I heart hot moms. He was wearing sunglasses. He was wearing sunglasses inside. And it was nighttime. It was midnight.
SPEAKER_01God, yes. I forgot about that guy.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I can't I can't because it's just it was so he was it was a tank top. It was a tank top.
SPEAKER_03Hot moms. Hot moms, yes.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I remember him. And there was another guy wearing, wasn't it like a big purple design on his shirt? Older gentlemen. Oh man. I don't remember now. I don't remember.
SPEAKER_08It's possible. There was so many. It was such a strange.
SPEAKER_03It was like the face of someone.
SPEAKER_08It was a very unique crowd.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because you had the young people.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, there was one that had the face of like Kobe Bryant. Yes. Maybe. Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_03It was purple. It was like a purple design shirt.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, and I'm just like, dude, really? And here I am in my jeans, my boots, my cowboy hat, a nice button-down.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_08My belt buckle because, you know, I'm gonna buckle up.
SPEAKER_03And I was nicely, I had leggings with a nice tank top. I even went and got a jean vest because, you know, I figured it's a cowboy place. We were the only ones dressed like that. There were some people where cowboy hats. There was a few. No, no, no. There were some people. A couple of them, young people with boots on. Um, but then people were like in just shorts, and I stop the yawning. We can all hear it.
SPEAKER_08We can't hear it. I feel it.
SPEAKER_03There was just an interesting crowd of people. From and then the people dressed as cows.
SPEAKER_08That the people dressed as cows are the best.
SPEAKER_03If I had to rate the night to give a word to this, it was like the people dressed as cows and that guy with the tank. Ooh, I have the hiccups now. The tank top that says I heart hot moms.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. And then you know what was funny is that they would come out and do like a like a procession with a big sign. And there was that one, there was that one sign that I loved that was hilarious. It was like, happy birthday, pickle rick. Every time we'll go by, I'd be like, Pickle Rick. You know?
SPEAKER_03At one time they came out and it said, Who filters?
SPEAKER_08Who filters your water?
SPEAKER_03We never got an answer from it. That's all that came out.
SPEAKER_08It was just uh who filters your music. Who filters your water?
SPEAKER_03The coolest thing of the night was when they did the purge music. They they did.
SPEAKER_08They did like a whole breakdown of you know, they turned the lights down. They came out with masks, they came out with masks, the purge, the sound.
SPEAKER_03They did the music, like the sound of the sirens. That was cool, scary, but cool. Just saying.
SPEAKER_08Like I love the purge. Purge could have happened right then and there. We didn't have protection. Such a fun series of films and show. There was a show too. I know. Remember that?
SPEAKER_03We didn't finish the show after.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, we did. We saw the whole show.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yes, we did. Yes, we did. Yes, we did. They never did part two or three years or something.
SPEAKER_08And we've seen every movie. Yes. Every purge movie.
SPEAKER_03But yes, they did that. And that was super cool.
SPEAKER_08That was cool. Um, I really enjoy the purge.
SPEAKER_03It was, it was funny. It was fun, I mean, sorry. I'm trying to think of that night. I I we love people watching, the two of us do. So that's the best because what we did was we were with our friends and our kids talking with them, but at the same time, we were people watching. So when we got in the car, we can discuss the people watching.
SPEAKER_08The people watching in the outfits? Oh, it's my favorite thing. Is the six degrees of separation?
SPEAKER_02Will you stop?
SPEAKER_08Do we know that person? Do they know someone I know? Does that person wearing that tank top know someone that I may know? That's the game. And then you sit there and you say, which person would they know that I know based on their outfit?
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, I can't. You have me now just thinking. Because now I can't think straight.
SPEAKER_08He's got glasses on, he's got a f he's got a uh a snapback, shorts, and a tank top that says iHeart Hot Moms. Who does he know that I know? Who does he know that you know?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_08Because I don't know him.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, I'm just gonna move on. But he may know someone that I know. Moving on, moving on.
SPEAKER_08Play that game.
SPEAKER_03Let's do ka chow.
SPEAKER_07Oh, lightning. Ca-chau.
SPEAKER_03But only I get to ask you the questions.
SPEAKER_07No.
SPEAKER_03Yes. It's my ka chow.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_03Are you too old for this? You ready?
SPEAKER_08What?
SPEAKER_03It's called Are You Too Old For This? That's what I named it.
SPEAKER_08I'm not. Okay. At all.
SPEAKER_03Alright. So no thinking. Fast answers only. Cachow. Are you done?
SPEAKER_08Cachow.
SPEAKER_03You ready?
SPEAKER_08Waiting.
SPEAKER_03Going out at 11 p.m. Yes or no?
SPEAKER_08What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_03One drink or five?
SPEAKER_08Zero.
SPEAKER_03Good job, because having one just makes you sleepy.
SPEAKER_08Yep.
SPEAKER_03Sneakers or cowboy boots.
SPEAKER_08Boots.
SPEAKER_03Finally, honest. After party.
SPEAKER_08No party.
SPEAKER_03Okay. You want to wake up early the next day? Yes or no?
SPEAKER_08No.
SPEAKER_03No. Okay.
SPEAKER_08The next day?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. No? Well, I guess if we wake up early, we're like disoriented. But anyways. Dance floor or sitting down? Sitting down. Of course, we all know what you were gonna say.
SPEAKER_08Sitting down.
SPEAKER_03That's true, because the other night you were like guarding that table like security.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, I want to sit.
SPEAKER_03Late night food?
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_03Good job.
SPEAKER_08Snacks always.
SPEAKER_03Do you want to go out again tomorrow night?
SPEAKER_08Definitely not.
SPEAKER_03Come on, let's not be disrespectful. Thought you weren't tired.
SPEAKER_08Just because I'm not tired doesn't mean I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to sit here and watch shows and snack.
SPEAKER_03That sounds like something someone who's tired would say.
SPEAKER_08Why do I have to be tired?
SPEAKER_03Whatever.
SPEAKER_08To actually feel.
SPEAKER_03Whatever. Anyways. Alright, guys. Lesson of the day.
SPEAKER_08We can still go out.
SPEAKER_03But our bodies will file, well file. You see, I can't even talk. We'll file a complaint the next day.
SPEAKER_08Speak for your body.
SPEAKER_03Your body already submitted the paperwork, stamped it, and filed it.
SPEAKER_08It was a suggestion, not a complaint.
SPEAKER_03What? It was a complaint. You filed it 55 times in the complaint box. Anyways, I'm trying to end the show, and you just want to start with me.
SPEAKER_09Mm-hmm.
