Did we go out? Yes. Are we paying for it in the form of physical interest rates? Also, yes.

The one where Nat and Fern recap a night out that started with a "casual dinner" suggestion and ended with Fern "observing" the club from a seated position for 12 minutes. We’re breaking down the high stakes of putting on jeans, the mystery of why a smartphone suddenly weighs 40 pounds the next morning, and why being "well-rested adjacent" is a valid medical personality.

Grab your Gatorade, find your heating pad, and join us for a post-night-out post-mortem. We aren't old; we just have boundaries. (And maybe some neck issues.)

Don’t forget to like, follow, and send electrolytes.

SPEAKER_08

Welcome back to Limitless Table Talk, where we talk about life, marriage, travel, and today, poor decisions after 10 p.m. I'm Fern.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm Nat. So grab your favorite cup of coffee or whatever it is you're sipping on today. Maybe it's tea, maybe it's something iced, maybe it's just vibes in a cup. No judgment here because you already know once we start, it's probably going to go left really, really fast.

SPEAKER_08

So fast. So fast. So let's first of all let's be very clear. There were no poor decisions after 10 p.m. And I feel great.

SPEAKER_03

You took a nap sitting up the other day.

SPEAKER_08

That was not a nap. That was strategic I reset.

SPEAKER_03

You were snoring.

SPEAKER_08

I was breathing with confidence.

SPEAKER_03

Let's start from the beginning. Who in the world suggested we go out late?

SPEAKER_08

You did.

SPEAKER_03

Don't lie to the people now.

SPEAKER_08

You said, and I quote, we should go out and have fun. We deserve it. Let's party like it's 1999.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no. It was seven o'clock, and I meant dinner, dinner fern, not a full nightlife documentary.

SPEAKER_08

Well, you know, once I put jeans on, we are fully committed.

SPEAKER_03

That's another thing. Why are jeans now a life decision?

SPEAKER_08

Because jeans mean I can't breathe fully. Which means it's a commitment.

SPEAKER_03

That makes I mean, I don't understand. It's like I don't want to put on jeans. I was just gonna put on like whatever shorts and a shirt, like leggings, to go to dinner. Dinner. So, whatever. We get there, it's loud, it's packed, and immediately I knew already that we still got it. Absolutely not. That this was a mistake. Speak for yourself. I was in my element. What element? What sitting down 12 minutes after we had just got in there? We had just got in there, and you were already looking to see where you were gonna sit.

SPEAKER_08

Well, I mean, every every place needs to have a place to sit because that's how I What?

SPEAKER_03

Every place needs to have a place to sit?

SPEAKER_08

Yes. Because there's you already know you already know, and we've talked about this in the past. If there's no place to sit, we're not being there.

SPEAKER_03

We shouldn't have been there. I just wanted to go to dinner.

SPEAKER_08

It was a good time. And you know what? I sat down.

SPEAKER_03

I felt like I go ahead.

SPEAKER_08

And I was observing.

SPEAKER_03

You were aging in real time.

SPEAKER_08

I was conserving my energy for later.

SPEAKER_03

What? What? Later. We left right before midnight.

SPEAKER_08

That is responsible nightlife.

SPEAKER_03

No, responsible nightlife would have been being home by 9.30 with snacks to me.

SPEAKER_08

You wanted to go out.

SPEAKER_03

I wanted to go to dinner.

SPEAKER_08

You wanted to partake.

SPEAKER_03

I wanted to go to the bh.

SPEAKER_08

B.

SPEAKER_03

I would have been fine going to Outback, but no, we had to drive 45 minutes away. Fine parking. Get out of the car.

SPEAKER_08

Which, by the way, you gotta say, I found parking pretty quick. Also, what about that craziness in the parking lot, right? All right. That was crazy talk in the parking lot.

SPEAKER_03

People that were arguing over a parking space.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, literally.

SPEAKER_03

Get out of there.

SPEAKER_08

It's a real thing. You know, you you you think that it's not real until you actually see it.

SPEAKER_03

We never see it until we actually see it. Okay, okay, okay. So let's let's do this. So we're driving in the parking lot, and all of a sudden we did see a black pickup truck start backing up. Like, right? And he was just backing up into a space. And then no, no, no. He was backing up on the Oh, yeah, yeah. In the road. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

He was parking in in the in the in the lot.

SPEAKER_03

In the parking lot. He was just driving backwards.

SPEAKER_08

Or as or as our friends across the pond would call it, a car park.

SPEAKER_03

Well, anyways, he was just driving backward for a while. Like he had seen a space open up, it looks like. And behind. Right. So he starts backing up.

SPEAKER_05

He's like, that's a car leaving.

SPEAKER_03

And another car is backing up into that space already. While the pickup is backing up. And finally, when the pickup arrives to that space, he starts backing into the space. So now we have two cars backing up into the same space.

SPEAKER_08

Hilarious.

SPEAKER_03

And we're watching this happen.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So the people in the little car both get out of the car. It was a lady and a guy.

SPEAKER_08

They both jump out.

SPEAKER_03

And go up to the pickup truck. Mind you, I'm like, this is how people get killed in parking lots.

SPEAKER_08

This is this is not a good thing.

SPEAKER_03

But we stayed and watched.

SPEAKER_08

Yes. As we should. I mean, listen, that's how you start off a responsible night of partying. You have to watch other people get into it.

SPEAKER_03

We're like, nobody's behind us. We're just gonna watch. We're just gonna stay. We got front row scenes. The person in the pickup never got out of there.

SPEAKER_08

If we had popcorn, it would have been the perfect show.

SPEAKER_03

We were like, do we need to go that way or this way?

SPEAKER_08

And then I was like, oh, there's a space over there. Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but whatever. You ruined it.

SPEAKER_08

So, anyways, I wanted to park.

SPEAKER_03

Whatever. Anyways. So, anyways, so yes, we did go party, party, whatever. So, let's talk about, because this is why we are here. Let's talk about the next day. The aftermath of going out.

SPEAKER_08

What aftermath? There is no aftermath. First of all, why is this a f uh uh uh like like like a like a movie, you see?

SPEAKER_07

It's like a movie. The aftermath.

SPEAKER_03

Because it felt like one.

SPEAKER_07

The aftermath.

SPEAKER_03

I it felt like one.

SPEAKER_07

One night. One couple before midnight. The next day. Oh, hey, how you doing? I feel terrible. It's the aftermath.

SPEAKER_03

Will you stop it?

SPEAKER_08

Listen, I feel completely normal. I felt completely, completely normal.

SPEAKER_03

You woke up and said, and I quote, whoa, that is so loud. I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_08

I'm so sorry. That was that was that was such a genuine because I know what you're gonna say. And I quote, I know what you're gonna say.

SPEAKER_03

My neck is disrespecting me.

SPEAKER_07

I don't believe you.

SPEAKER_03

I don't you stretched for like seven to ten minutes, like you were preparing for the Olympics.

SPEAKER_08

It's called mobility.

SPEAKER_03

You made noises getting off the couch.

SPEAKER_08

Everybody makes noises getting off a couch.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, no, no, no. Not like that day. That was a full sound effect pack.

SPEAKER_08

That was necessary expression.

SPEAKER_03

No, that was thought of. Do I really need to get up? And your body said no.

SPEAKER_08

Uh, I don't think so.

SPEAKER_03

I remember you taking a couple of the leaves.

SPEAKER_01

But whatever. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You see, nobody warned me that one night out now requires about three to five business day recovery period from being sore.

SPEAKER_08

I am not that sore.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. You see how you get yourself in trouble? Then why did you say ow when you picked up your phone?

SPEAKER_08

Because it surprised me.

SPEAKER_03

Wait a minute. The phone surprised you.

SPEAKER_08

Yes. It was it was oddly heavier than I expected it to be.

SPEAKER_03

It's the same phone you've had for like a year and a half.

SPEAKER_08

Well, today it came with extra attitude.

SPEAKER_03

Anyways, that that's what we're going with.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. It you know, it was like the attitude era of WWE.

SPEAKER_03

Like that's it just had a lot of you're sticking to this.

SPEAKER_08

It just had a lot of attitude. It was like you any day when you just wake up and say, Oh, what's happening today?

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_05

Are you getting out of bed or what?

SPEAKER_03

Um you I can't even no, I don't know. I can't, I can't, I don't I don't know. I feel like you're on your own thing.

SPEAKER_08

Am I?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I mean how often do we do the thing where we go out and then all of a sudden the music is just the whole time.

SPEAKER_03

No, not often. That's why we don't go at all to places. Only you want to hear it because then you can't hear anything for three days. And I'm going, what? And what? Because I can't hear.

SPEAKER_08

But I mean, you're not used to like loud things.

SPEAKER_03

I don't like it. I don't know. I'm not, I guess. How did we like this before?

SPEAKER_08

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I do people like this period.

SPEAKER_08

Well, I don't know why people like it. I'm just gonna say that.

SPEAKER_03

Like, why is the music so loud?

SPEAKER_08

I I like loud music, but I'm a concert person. So I I love like not being able to hear for three to five business days.

SPEAKER_03

Look, I hate having to repeat myself four or five times because a person couldn't hear me. What? Exactly. And then you know has it ever happened to you that you're like yelling to the person so they can hear you, and all of a sudden the music stops?

SPEAKER_05

And you're like, ah la la.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry. Uh the music was loud.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Meanwhile, younger people are out there living their best life with no consequences.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, because they don't know about recovery yet.

SPEAKER_03

Recovery from standing?

SPEAKER_07

Exactly.

SPEAKER_08

You know, it all adds up.

SPEAKER_03

I don't understand. We used to be able to go out like Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday.

SPEAKER_08

And we were fine. Fine, perfectly fine.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, we were not fine. We were we just didn't feel it yet, I guess.

SPEAKER_08

Speak for yourself. I've always been elite. I'm all elite.

SPEAKER_03

Elite, really. That we're going with that?

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Fern, you needed coffee, gatorate, and silence for the day.

SPEAKER_08

That's just good planning.

SPEAKER_03

No, that was just you showing that you're 48.

SPEAKER_06

How dare you? How dare you?

SPEAKER_03

I went there. I went there.

SPEAKER_08

How dare you? Who do you even think you are?

SPEAKER_03

I'm Nat. Why? Why are you looking at me?

SPEAKER_06

How dare you?

SPEAKER_03

I'm just saying. Oh, and I think what I'm just gonna skip that now. Um, ignoring you because you're staring at me. And then we decide laser beams.

SPEAKER_08

Laser beams.

SPEAKER_03

Another day, then we decide that it's the greatest idea. Let's go partying with our children. Because who can say they can go out partying with their kids as adults?

SPEAKER_08

We can.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm saying, like, obviously, but we wanted to keep up with them. Everyone else in our group was leaving. Are you kidding?

SPEAKER_08

We were rock stars.

SPEAKER_03

Everyone in our group was leaving already early.

SPEAKER_08

And I'm a rock star.

SPEAKER_03

Younger than us. Older than our children.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And our kids were still like, hey, party, potter, pottery.

SPEAKER_08

And we were like, no, no, that was you. I was like old. No.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay. Anyways, you kept looking at like all I can hear is so much later still, I hear it. Mm-hmm. And we were like, oh yeah, we're gonna last here. We're gonna stay here with them. We're gonna stay. We can show. We can do it. We basically did. We basically did. And I think one of the reasons why we ended up staying longer also is because one of our daughters came with us. And we were like, she's not gonna want to leave early to then find out she was leaving with someone else.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

We could have left a long time ago.

SPEAKER_08

Yep. Yep. Yep. Bad decisions.

SPEAKER_03

Bad decisions.

SPEAKER_08

Bad decisions.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I'll tell you what. I think we learned a lot about ourselves that day.

SPEAKER_03

What?

SPEAKER_08

That we need a lot of electrolytes.

SPEAKER_03

I was like, my feet hurt. My lower back was hurting me already. I was a hot mess. I couldn't even move the next day. I didn't even want to talk to anyone. I didn't want to move. I didn't want to do anything.

SPEAKER_08

I woke up perfectly fine.

SPEAKER_03

Admit it, you were tired.

SPEAKER_08

Nope. Not a bit.

SPEAKER_03

You were tired. Admit it.

SPEAKER_08

I am not tired.

SPEAKER_03

Say it.

SPEAKER_08

Nope.

SPEAKER_03

Say you were tired.

SPEAKER_08

I am hydrated.

SPEAKER_03

That's not the same thing.

SPEAKER_08

It's a well-rested adjacent.

SPEAKER_03

Adjacent. That's that's really not a thing now.

SPEAKER_08

It is now.

SPEAKER_03

You fell asleep doing a commercial.

SPEAKER_08

The commercial was long.

SPEAKER_03

It was 15 seconds.

SPEAKER_08

Well, it felt like a documentary.

SPEAKER_03

It was a 15-second commercial. The show's like we were watching something. We're still mourning. This is the next day after going out and partying, basically. And you said, I'm fine. Blah blah blah blah. And the show ended 15 seconds later.

SPEAKER_06

You were like, inaccurate.

SPEAKER_03

What? Don't lie to the people.

SPEAKER_08

That's inaccurate. I fall. Listen, I'll fall asleep watching anything. At any time. Regardless. Doesn't matter what it is. I will fall asleep every time.

SPEAKER_03

But then yeah, well, that is true. But then here we have 20-year-olds. Are you yawning? Are you yawning? Did I catch you? You are lucky we're not on video yet. We will be one day, but you are yawning.

SPEAKER_08

Nope. That was a sigh. No, I was a sigh.

SPEAKER_03

I saw it happen. Oh my gosh, I'm speechless. You have me speechless right now. Oh my gosh, guys. I'm like, I'm like, whatever. Anyways, anyways. You couldn't even walk normal.

SPEAKER_08

I never walk normal. What's wrong with you?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no. The problem was it was more like a you shuffled to the kitchen like a haunted house character. Mm-hmm. And it was not stealth mode. It was a haunted house. Like you belonged in the Disney haunted mansion.

SPEAKER_08

That makes sense.

SPEAKER_04

Because I'm all about the wonderful world of Disney.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. What would you say if someone said let's go out tonight? Or let's go out Saturday night.

SPEAKER_08

Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

You're not gonna ask at what time or anything? You're just gonna say let's go to the house.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, what time?

SPEAKER_03

11:30.

SPEAKER_08

Absolutely not. That's disrespectful.

SPEAKER_03

So you were tired for sure, then.

SPEAKER_08

I am not tired. I just have boundaries and I've learned my lesson.

SPEAKER_03

That doesn't sound right. You just said you weren't tired.

SPEAKER_08

I'm not tired. I just have boundaries.

SPEAKER_03

You have boundaries. Yes. That's I see. Your boundary is bedtime?

SPEAKER_08

My boundary is peace. My gosh, I just yawed again.

SPEAKER_03

Uh-huh. You turned your own self in. Oh my god. Okay, whatever. Your piece is basically pajamas at this point.

SPEAKER_08

And what's wrong with that?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_08

It's so comfortable to be in pajamas. Oh, it's so comfortable. Okay, so it's so cozy.

SPEAKER_03

The heck was that?

SPEAKER_08

It's so cozy to be in pajamas.

SPEAKER_03

I'm still back to why we would have thought of going out would have been a good idea. Like us going out, a good idea. Mind you, you are the person that wants to go eat at 6 o'clock, 5.30 for dinner.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And we like being home by like 8 30.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Our outings are like, oh, let's go like TJ Maxx or Marshall's.

SPEAKER_08

Spectacular.

SPEAKER_03

And we're back home by 9.30.

SPEAKER_08

Perfect.

SPEAKER_03

Who in the world thought that we can go an out after 10?

SPEAKER_08

You.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, whatever. I thought we could, but why wouldn't we? No, it wasn't me. Why are you trying to hold that way? Now you got me thinking it was me.

SPEAKER_08

Because it was you.

SPEAKER_03

I said I wanted to go to dinner.

SPEAKER_08

No, no, you didn't. You said I wanna live it up. Live it up. Live it up. And you said it just like that.

SPEAKER_03

I meant for like a different place to eat for dinner. Not the usual places we go to. Don't look at me like that.

SPEAKER_08

I am looking at you like that. No. C.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_08

C.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

You're the one that said, ooh, let's go out. What are the what is everybody up to? And then you know. 45 minutes later, drive, we ended up somewhere.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm like, I just wanted to eat dinner.

SPEAKER_08

But you had a great time.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't say I didn't. I had a good time.

SPEAKER_08

And then I even said I had a great time.

SPEAKER_03

We couldn't move the next day.

SPEAKER_08

You couldn't move the next day.

SPEAKER_03

You're gonna admit it one day. You're already yawning.

SPEAKER_08

I was perfectly perfectly fine.

SPEAKER_03

No, you were not.

unknown

Oh my god, whatever.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna go back and forth.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Anyways, that's another. Anyways, I don't know why we brought this up.

SPEAKER_08

The other thing is that you wanted this experience because you wanted to go to a cowboy bar. Like a cowboy place.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_08

Where you can do line dancing. And not once did you line dance.

SPEAKER_03

I like to people watch.

SPEAKER_08

And I said, I said, oh, we should get you uh cowgirl boots. No, I don't want cowgirl boots. I said, we're going to a cow cowboy place. You should have cowgirl boots.

SPEAKER_03

And I said, no, I don't want cowgirl boots. And I didn't get cowgirl boots. Why am I saying it so slow?

SPEAKER_08

Because you're I well, anyways, our kids have gone to that place.

SPEAKER_03

We've heard about it, and I said, why not? Fine. If you're gonna drag me out, why not, right?

SPEAKER_08

So I'm gonna drag you out. You wanted to go there, and I made the necessary arrangements.

SPEAKER_03

I mentioned it at one point.

SPEAKER_08

You mentioned it multiple times.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, but I figured we would go there before 9 p.m.

SPEAKER_08

You say they don't open till 9 p.m.

SPEAKER_03

Nobody gave me that information.

SPEAKER_08

I gave you that information in the parking lot. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, well then let's make things straight here. If we're gonna blame me for something, let's let's set the record straight here. In the parking lot.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

We still went. It makes no difference. We went in.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

We had a good time. My people watched. A lady fell trying to leave. That was hilarious. I did help her get up.

SPEAKER_08

There was people dressed as cows as well, which was hilarious.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

I don't understand that. They were they I was like, is this Chick fila? Where's Chick filla? They were celebrating a birthday.

SPEAKER_03

They were celebrating a birthday in her friend's dress. Dressed up as chick uh as cows for some reason. I don't know. It must be an inside joke, maybe.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know. It was kind of funny.

SPEAKER_03

They were all dressed like cows.

SPEAKER_08

And then there were people riding the bulls that should not have been riding the bulls.

SPEAKER_03

See, I did not attempt that. First of all, you gotta get I gotta figure out how to get up there. And as soon as the bull thing starts, I was probably gonna fall.

SPEAKER_08

You want to know what I didn't like about the whole process? What? About what I mean about what? Watching the process. You had to take your boots off or your shoes off. Oh, yeah, you had to take doing that in public places.

SPEAKER_03

I would think for safety reasons.

SPEAKER_08

Well, because the the mat is like uh uh what do you call it? Inflatable inflatable?

SPEAKER_03

Like the bounce house, yeah, you can pop it, I guess, right?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, but I don't like that. Because I wouldn't want to take my boots off there.

SPEAKER_03

Why?

SPEAKER_08

It's just uncomfortable.

SPEAKER_03

Why?

SPEAKER_08

I well, you know what it takes to me for me to put on jeans and my boots? It takes a minute.

SPEAKER_03

I see. But you looked cute.

SPEAKER_08

You look cute.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm saying you looked cute that night.

SPEAKER_08

I I tried. I wanted you to look at me and say, Look at that guy. Look at that guy. That is my guy. No, I don't know why I gave you a now I sound like you sound like you just came off the set of narcos.

SPEAKER_03

I'm more concerned that my voice sounds like a guy's voice in your head than anything else, right now.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's like you looked at me and said, Oh, look at that cowboy right there. Oh, hell yeah. Oh my god, I can't cowboy, and I'm like, you know it, sister.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. The music wasn't bad. It was the DJ was really good, actually.

SPEAKER_08

The music was pretty good, and you can do it. It's a little weird though, because it's like it's it's like hip hop.

SPEAKER_03

And people are lighting it.

SPEAKER_08

People are live dancing to it. That's something new to me.

SPEAKER_03

It is to me too. Like, and then everybody knows the steps because it's the same steps over and over for every song.

SPEAKER_08

Is it it? I think there was different different steps.

SPEAKER_03

No, it was pretty much the same. It was side to side, forward, back, turn.

SPEAKER_08

So it's like the key.

SPEAKER_03

Side to side, almost, but it's just the way they I don't know, put their hands, I guess.

SPEAKER_08

They boogie on.

unknown

They boogie on.

SPEAKER_08

Is that is that the term boogie?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know what the term is.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know what the term is.

SPEAKER_03

I'm trying to remember them dancing. I'm picturing them in my head.

SPEAKER_08

They were doing the two-stair up bum bang dang dang bang.

SPEAKER_03

And our daughter tried to get you to go out there to dance, but you wouldn't.

SPEAKER_08

She's like, Papa, come, come, papa. Come dance with me, papa. I said, It's okay, daughter. We'll be alright. I don't know when I became Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

She does okay, okay. That one's a one. That one's a papa one.

SPEAKER_08

She says, Papa.

SPEAKER_02

That's right, that's right, that's right. Because we went with all with all of our children.

SPEAKER_08

We went with all of our children. Well, not our son. Not the young boy. Not the young one.

SPEAKER_03

We went with our daughters and friends.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm trying to picture. I'm still trying to picture the dancing here in my head.

SPEAKER_08

Papa, come line dance with me. And I said, It's okay, daughter. We will not do that today.

SPEAKER_03

Everyone, all the other ones were trying to get you to dance too.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And you wouldn't go. Daddy, come dance, daddy.

SPEAKER_08

He said no.

SPEAKER_03

Dad, come dance.

SPEAKER_08

He said, No, it's alright. I'll just, I'll just uh But they didn't dance.

SPEAKER_03

Only one dance dance. They didn't dance. Only the one.

SPEAKER_08

Only the one. Only the one.

SPEAKER_03

Only one of them danced. The other ones did the same as us. Watched.

SPEAKER_08

They just watched. The whole time.

SPEAKER_02

Basically the same.

SPEAKER_08

They just watched. They just people watched.

SPEAKER_02

It was.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, there was a lot of uh It was an interesting crowd. A lot of interesting is the word. Yes. Interesting is the word.

SPEAKER_03

Interesting crowd.

SPEAKER_08

I I you know it's funny because I felt so overdressed. And I was just wearing a cover. I was super overdressed.

SPEAKER_03

I thought it was just mean.

SPEAKER_08

But the one guy with the tank top that said I heart hot moms. He was wearing sunglasses. He was wearing sunglasses inside. And it was nighttime. It was midnight.

SPEAKER_01

God, yes. I forgot about that guy.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I can't I can't because it's just it was so he was it was a tank top. It was a tank top.

SPEAKER_03

Hot moms. Hot moms, yes.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I remember him. And there was another guy wearing, wasn't it like a big purple design on his shirt? Older gentlemen. Oh man. I don't remember now. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_08

It's possible. There was so many. It was such a strange.

SPEAKER_03

It was like the face of someone.

SPEAKER_08

It was a very unique crowd.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because you had the young people.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, there was one that had the face of like Kobe Bryant. Yes. Maybe. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_03

It was purple. It was like a purple design shirt.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, and I'm just like, dude, really? And here I am in my jeans, my boots, my cowboy hat, a nice button-down.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

My belt buckle because, you know, I'm gonna buckle up.

SPEAKER_03

And I was nicely, I had leggings with a nice tank top. I even went and got a jean vest because, you know, I figured it's a cowboy place. We were the only ones dressed like that. There were some people where cowboy hats. There was a few. No, no, no. There were some people. A couple of them, young people with boots on. Um, but then people were like in just shorts, and I stop the yawning. We can all hear it.

SPEAKER_08

We can't hear it. I feel it.

SPEAKER_03

There was just an interesting crowd of people. From and then the people dressed as cows.

SPEAKER_08

That the people dressed as cows are the best.

SPEAKER_03

If I had to rate the night to give a word to this, it was like the people dressed as cows and that guy with the tank. Ooh, I have the hiccups now. The tank top that says I heart hot moms.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. And then you know what was funny is that they would come out and do like a like a procession with a big sign. And there was that one, there was that one sign that I loved that was hilarious. It was like, happy birthday, pickle rick. Every time we'll go by, I'd be like, Pickle Rick. You know?

SPEAKER_03

At one time they came out and it said, Who filters?

SPEAKER_08

Who filters your water?

SPEAKER_03

We never got an answer from it. That's all that came out.

SPEAKER_08

It was just uh who filters your music. Who filters your water?

SPEAKER_03

The coolest thing of the night was when they did the purge music. They they did.

SPEAKER_08

They did like a whole breakdown of you know, they turned the lights down. They came out with masks, they came out with masks, the purge, the sound.

SPEAKER_03

They did the music, like the sound of the sirens. That was cool, scary, but cool. Just saying.

SPEAKER_08

Like I love the purge. Purge could have happened right then and there. We didn't have protection. Such a fun series of films and show. There was a show too. I know. Remember that?

SPEAKER_03

We didn't finish the show after.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, we did. We saw the whole show.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yes, we did. Yes, we did. Yes, we did. They never did part two or three years or something.

SPEAKER_08

And we've seen every movie. Yes. Every purge movie.

SPEAKER_03

But yes, they did that. And that was super cool.

SPEAKER_08

That was cool. Um, I really enjoy the purge.

SPEAKER_03

It was, it was funny. It was fun, I mean, sorry. I'm trying to think of that night. I I we love people watching, the two of us do. So that's the best because what we did was we were with our friends and our kids talking with them, but at the same time, we were people watching. So when we got in the car, we can discuss the people watching.

SPEAKER_08

The people watching in the outfits? Oh, it's my favorite thing. Is the six degrees of separation?

SPEAKER_02

Will you stop?

SPEAKER_08

Do we know that person? Do they know someone I know? Does that person wearing that tank top know someone that I may know? That's the game. And then you sit there and you say, which person would they know that I know based on their outfit?

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god, I can't. You have me now just thinking. Because now I can't think straight.

SPEAKER_08

He's got glasses on, he's got a f he's got a uh a snapback, shorts, and a tank top that says iHeart Hot Moms. Who does he know that I know? Who does he know that you know?

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Because I don't know him.

SPEAKER_03

Anyways, I'm just gonna move on. But he may know someone that I know. Moving on, moving on.

SPEAKER_08

Play that game.

SPEAKER_03

Let's do ka chow.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, lightning. Ca-chau.

SPEAKER_03

But only I get to ask you the questions.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. It's my ka chow.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Are you too old for this? You ready?

SPEAKER_08

What?

SPEAKER_03

It's called Are You Too Old For This? That's what I named it.

SPEAKER_08

I'm not. Okay. At all.

SPEAKER_03

Alright. So no thinking. Fast answers only. Cachow. Are you done?

SPEAKER_08

Cachow.

SPEAKER_03

You ready?

SPEAKER_08

Waiting.

SPEAKER_03

Going out at 11 p.m. Yes or no?

SPEAKER_08

What is wrong with you?

SPEAKER_03

One drink or five?

SPEAKER_08

Zero.

SPEAKER_03

Good job, because having one just makes you sleepy.

SPEAKER_08

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Sneakers or cowboy boots.

SPEAKER_08

Boots.

SPEAKER_03

Finally, honest. After party.

SPEAKER_08

No party.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. You want to wake up early the next day? Yes or no?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_03

No. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

The next day?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. No? Well, I guess if we wake up early, we're like disoriented. But anyways. Dance floor or sitting down? Sitting down. Of course, we all know what you were gonna say.

SPEAKER_08

Sitting down.

SPEAKER_03

That's true, because the other night you were like guarding that table like security.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I want to sit.

SPEAKER_03

Late night food?

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Good job.

SPEAKER_08

Snacks always.

SPEAKER_03

Do you want to go out again tomorrow night?

SPEAKER_08

Definitely not.

SPEAKER_03

Come on, let's not be disrespectful. Thought you weren't tired.

SPEAKER_08

Just because I'm not tired doesn't mean I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to sit here and watch shows and snack.

SPEAKER_03

That sounds like something someone who's tired would say.

SPEAKER_08

Why do I have to be tired?

SPEAKER_03

Whatever.

SPEAKER_08

To actually feel.

SPEAKER_03

Whatever. Anyways. Alright, guys. Lesson of the day.

SPEAKER_08

We can still go out.

SPEAKER_03

But our bodies will file, well file. You see, I can't even talk. We'll file a complaint the next day.

SPEAKER_08

Speak for your body.

SPEAKER_03

Your body already submitted the paperwork, stamped it, and filed it.

SPEAKER_08

It was a suggestion, not a complaint.

SPEAKER_03

What? It was a complaint. You filed it 55 times in the complaint box. Anyways, I'm trying to end the show, and you just want to start with me.

SPEAKER_09

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03
