SPEAKER_03

So, hey, spirit sisters, and welcome back. We're so glad you're here. And wow, this is our season. Season finale. Notice I didn't say series, but season. Yeah. I don't even know. I can't. I know, but I can't. I can't either. Because we got here so fast. I I know. It literally feels like we started recording two days ago. Yeah, it does. It truly does. This season has been full, so many real, raw moments, beautiful moments. You know, we started this podcast with a simple heart. Yeah. To share stories, to encourage and to remind everyone listening that you're not alone. Oh, I and there's been so many testimonies, so many stories that people have shared with us inside this room. Yes. Outside this room. And it's just, it's amazing to see about how, you know, the things that we talk about, the things that we struggle with on a day-to-day basis, how it all interconnects with all of us in our podcast. And, you know, people being real and raw and beautiful through tears, through laughter, through whatever it looks like. It's just been it, it's it's just been amazing to see. And if you hear a little rumble in the background, I just want you guys to know that we have a guest today. Yes. And it's our lovely dog Snickers, who you might not be able to see. She is literally laying at Kaylin on me right now, and she's snoring. She just wanted to be a part of the death. She's like, I'm a girl, I'm a too. So today we just want to sit in one powerful truth. God has been faithful through it all.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So as we like start to reflect on the season and everybody that we have had on the show, I kept thinking about like the differences of the journeys we've heard, the loss, the waiting, the uncertainty, the healing. The healing. So like even with, you know, when we talked about how we even came to start the Spirit Sisters podcast. But what's the one thing they had in common? What's the one thing they had in common?

SPEAKER_02

Go ahead. No, this is you. This is you.

SPEAKER_00

I truly like it was it was God's calling on us. Like he literally had an obedient.

SPEAKER_03

Like I had to be obedient. But he also kept telling me to wait because what happened at dinner. I know. Well, I most of you know this story. Some of you, this is your first time. Go back and listen to this. Go back to listen. So, you know, we sat down at dinner and I kept feeling like, you know, I'm a big believer in you, are very cautious about who people pray over you, speak life over you, yes, and things like that. But I trust Jen immensely. Like there's there's there's no trap, no distrust. And I was like, all right, Jen, like I you've got something you want that the Lord is saying, she ain't gonna do it unless you tell her to.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And that's how it started. Yeah, yeah. Is I was like, uh-huh, uh no, not me. Uh-huh. Not for me, not gonna do that. And you were like, Yeah, you're gonna do this. Play my mom. Yep, you're doing this. Well, and because what happened? So we sat there and we were having a discussion, and before we knew it, yeah, the conversation had drifted. We had done all of the podcasts, decided what the logo looked like, like all kinds of things. Might do it like a week. Like we literally just played. Friday dinner. By the next Friday, we were planning on segments and planning for things and had Instagram accounts. Yes. But there was no, I felt well, she might have felt stressed because she's still complete stressed. She was still in denial. Still like meanwhile, I was gonna be back going. No, this is like this is what we are supposed to do. I'm telling you, like we balance it so well. We balance it so well, and you're holy on hood.

SPEAKER_02

You are back to the country that says you are refined by the country. You are classy. It's different.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, dude. I'm gonna put the two of them together and you're gonna bring people to me.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm like, okay, okay, but we literally, there was no, it just worked out.

SPEAKER_02

There wasn't a breath.

SPEAKER_03

No, it just it just went. And and I didn't feel stress over it. Everything went smoothly. It has gone smoothly, and that's when I feel like you know that that's God's calling on your heart. Yeah, like when you're obedient to what he's asking you to do, everything just runs smooth, right? Like everything just runs smooth. So yeah, so I mean that was kind of like our start. And then we, you know, shared how we came to know Jesus. And we shared about our I mean, I shared about my baptism and and things in my life that led to that. You know, shared about how, you know, I was raised in church and you know, thought that I had, you know, God figured out. And, you know, and like I said in I think it was my episode a long time ago, you know, I stopped I stopped believing in the Sunday school Jesus. And I started believing in the worm world Jesus. And I stopped playing Sunday school. I'm not just a student. Uh you're always a student, don't get me wrong, but I'm not I'm not in Sunday school anymore. We're learning Noah's Ark and I'm learning, you know, about the animals and how creation, I'm learning about the Samaritan woman. I'm learning how to pray. I'm learning about what my spiritual gift is, which I still haven't figured that out. And I'm learning how to be uh present for someone else.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know, and along the way, you have some suffering and you have some growing pains. Refining.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, for sure. So, like we kind of went on that first one that we did was based around Romans 12, 5 that says, So in Christ, we, though many, form one body and each member belongs to all others. Kind of meaning, you know, that each person has a unique role and purpose within the church and that they are all interconnected and dependent on each other, responsible for each other, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose within community of believers, you know, where Paul advises believers to have a balanced view of their own abilities, not to think of themselves more highly than they ought, because each person is a vital part of the whole and gifted by God. I mean, when that is like, I mean, God is so good, right? Like right now, this soul I think just resonates so well with a lot of things that might be going on. I think that's just great. That's great. Absolutely. And then, you know, we talked about when your faith feels fragile. Yes. You know, we talked about, you know, he can, he doesn't necessarily have to speak through just the the words, he speaks through your emotions, through your actions, he speaks through, you know, simple things, he speaks through worship. He not only speaks through, you know, the non-words, yeah, worship music. Yeah, you know, he speaks through friends that reach out when you've been on their mind for days and days and days, and they're following like, all right, I gotta, I gotta reach out to this person. I've got to. And we're you know, I'm a big believer in that.

SPEAKER_01

Um, you I know you are as well.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, I truly feel that God uses the people around you as a vessel. So like may give a word or something to that person to give to you because you might not be listening. You might be listening.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I know I was apparently I haven't been lately. Oh imagine that.

SPEAKER_03

What there's there's been a couple that have come to me and like, hey, God gave me this. And I'm like, really? What does that mean? I don't know, ask God. I'm like, okay, well, okay, let me sit on that and pray on that and see what that means. But yeah, exactly. And it's God reminds us in 2 Timothy 213 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. And even when we couldn't feel him, I couldn't feel him, he remained faithful in every aspect of our life. Absolutely, yeah, absolutely. And then we got into wow. I mean, guys, this episode literally took off. I may, I love I think this was like the bread and butter of the podcast. I think this is when it started. This was like, yeah, to this episode was episode three that we're we're talking about. Was why your story matters even when it's messy. And Jennifer comes on, and and you, if you've been following us, for those that have been following us, you know that I'm usually the one that will reach out and have the conversation with those that we have on the show. Yeah, and Kayla does not know anything, and we kind of purposely do that because you want the raw reaction. Yeah, I know. You like, she's like, I would rather not know. Yeah. Where I'm just kind of like, let me see, is this somebody that we we've prayed about? We have on there, our series that we have. We kind of just pray over these people that we have on the show. Yeah, and I have known Jennifer for a long time, and so I knew her story, and I thought, man, what a story to have with this episode. And yeah, when she started talking about, like she referenced and talks about a verse of Romans 5:3 where it talks about how we have to persevere through our trials, and God is going to make us stronger, and He is going to give us character. You know, she talked about finding a Christian community because of, you know, but always going to the Word of God as well. Like she leaned in so much. We honestly, I don't want to give a lot away because I really want you to go back and listen if you have acknowledged if you have.

SPEAKER_02

And even if you did, go back and listen until we get yes, it's it'll hit differently.

SPEAKER_03

I guarantee it. I guarantee it. You know, looking at people in the Bible that God used, you know, a fisherman, a tax collector, women at the well. I mean, like just messy lives that, you know, were turned into the goodness of everything that that glorify him and her story all the way through at the end, just like it's so emotional and brought us to tears, honestly. We were all crying. We were all crying. And I think the thing that really resonated with me with Jennifer's story is that she did not let her past identify her. Yes, yes, because that she prayed and prayed and got through it and allowed God to be her identity. Yeah, yeah. Not literally, yeah. Yeah, because she talked about, yeah, she talks about her baptizing, you know, when she was in Hawaii and she had gotten baptized. She said, Washed me, I came up. I didn't need to feel the shame, don't need to cry about it anymore. I have joy. I am going to share that joy with other people. I no longer identify as an alcoholic.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Huge guys, huge.

SPEAKER_01

Those words are so powerful.

SPEAKER_03

You know, she knows her identity and her identity is to Christ. And, you know, she stopped going to a certain place that would identify you as that, instead of, you know, leading other groups and going to other places so that she could continue to identify herself in Christ and share her story and bring others, which was so, so good. That that that episode was great. That's you know, it's talking in the Bible about you know, he's putting new garments on you. And so you gotta take, you know, you gotta take those those old garments, those are donate to donate them to the goodwill, Poshmark, whatever you do, because they those are no longer your garments, those are not what your identity is. That's right. And so, you know, you you when you have those new garments, it's a whole new, it's a new mindset for you. Yeah, God doesn't see those old garments. That doesn't mean they're not there, and that the enemy won't try to use them every single moment of every single day of your life, right? But that's where the Holy Spirit and God intervenes and said, uh-uh, you know, like this one, no, you can't touch this one. This one's mine.

SPEAKER_04

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

I she that's not who she is, and I'm gonna remind you. And then he sends his Holy Spirit to remind you who you are. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. Which led into episode four.

SPEAKER_01

Gosh, that was a yeah, that was a heavy episode.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like it was a heavy episode. Yeah, yeah, yeah. How to pray when you don't know what to say. That is also so good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because the thing is, is God knows your heart. Yeah. Like you don't have to say anything. No, yeah. Yeah. Literally, so I love the song I Left It in the River by is it Jamie? Oh my gosh, what is her last name? McDonald's. I don't know. You might have to look this up for me. But that song comes on. I actually shared it with our our group of friends not too long ago. It's like, here's an uplifting song. Like, good morning, ladies, wake up to this. It to me, that is like I am worshiping, I am doing. I feel like sometimes if you're just in the music, you're praying. Because you're thinking about that, you're singing, you're doing, and next thing you know, you might be praying to God. But but praying doesn't always necessarily mean like you're on the book. Don't put it in a box. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Don't put it in a box. Prayer looks differently for everybody. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I think so many Christians, so many believers, so many people, whether they're at any level of their faith, yeah, beginning, middle, right, strong, whatever, right, prophecy, right. Like, so many people think that that's such a great analogy to put it in a box because yeah, it's like, no, no, no, don't. Like, there's so many avenues of prayer. Well, I can't quote it in in the Bible, but there's a time to pray, a time to dance, a time to mourn, a time, like, okay, foot loose.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, literally, that is like literally. So it reminds me of because I was like, where can where can I where can I grow? Where can I get these people's attention? Foot loose, can I thank it? Thank you. Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_03

But he, I mean, he talks about it.

SPEAKER_00

It's true, it's true.

SPEAKER_03

It's not just God does not want to be put in a box. So why are we putting our prayer life and everything and our room in a box? Come on. Because he's not the box. Right. It's you can't, you can't. Open it, guys. Open it. Open the box.

SPEAKER_02

It's open. Open the box. Open your box. You know. But I think it's it's so true.

SPEAKER_03

You you you know, I think the best, my best prayer is not a prayer. Yeah, it's a conversation. That's a little that's a little coaching that came out right there. It was you this time. I don't like I have some country, you do. Um, yeah, I'm not sure. But it's a conversation where I'm like, God, I do not, and it sometimes it is not, it's not like, Lord, I thank you for this, and Lord, I praise you for this. Don't get me wrong. That's a very vital part. But a lot of the time it's like, why is this happening? But also align my heart with your posture and how you want me to be, that's for me to understand. That's the important part is the posture part. I think so many people. I've had other girls that have come up to me and they're like, you know, I've listened and I heard about this, and I want to be able to have that too. I want to have that same like changing the heart and changing the heart posture and being. And I was like, be careful of the prayer.

SPEAKER_01

Girl.

SPEAKER_03

Because I'm gonna tell you right now, he'll do it. He'll you asked for it and he you will receive. So think about that. Be ready. Be ready for the change. Yeah, be ready to receive. If you're asking, be ready to receive. Be ready to receive. Also, I think that the Lord will it he does like obviously he made us. So he will also tell you when you're not ready to receive it. Oh, for sure. Yeah, you know, like you don't understand the work that I'm gonna do in you because you're not ready. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So I've still gotta, I've still gotta mold, I've still gotta do this, I've still gotta do this. And you, you know, you've got to figure you, we've got to figure this out.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I like the Romans 8.28 that we referenced in that one. The spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless ground. And Lenny's, that's kind of what we're talking about right now, honestly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Which dives right into episode five from brokenness to boldness. This was you, I know. This was you, listen. This was your sharing, your episode. Yeah, it was. And I'll tell you, so this episode was probably the hardest thing for me to verbally put out there.

SPEAKER_01

I can write in my journal all day because no one's gonna see it's me and God, but to publicly put it out there.

SPEAKER_03

Right. But you know, I can't tell you how good it's been for me to see the pain that I went through and I would go through it again because I've had so many people who have went through this since I had mine. And he's said, thank you, you know, he said, You asked me why you were going through this, and this is why.

SPEAKER_01

I know it hurt, I know it sucked. I know that you did not think that this would happen to you, right? But I planted you in a place where you could help those that don't understand as well. And I'll do it again.

SPEAKER_03

I'd do it again, and it's not nearly talked about enough. It's not, it's not nearly talked about enough, and I am here to tell you you may know me, you may not know me, you don't have to know me.

SPEAKER_01

That's fine.

SPEAKER_03

If you have gone through loss, if you have gone through miscarriage, whatever that loss, miscarriage, whatever you want to call it, and you are struggling, reach out.

SPEAKER_01

I uh I'm on social media most of the time, and I I will be happy to sit down and talk to you, be happy to whatever you need to do, whatever I whatever I can offer you, but don't do it alone.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, absolutely. Don't do it alone. Never do it, but look where he's going. Using because I was like, I'm my voice. Who would want to listen to me? And it's comfortable circle. Yeah, absolutely, because he's using this platform, he's using your voice to be able to share his his story. Yeah, and it's only by him that I was able I'm able to be here. Yeah, yeah. And as always, Psalm 34.18, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. That I feel like that verse alone can kind of almost resonate in in quite a bit of what we actually really did to talk about. So this season. I mean, we definitely we were all over the place, you know, like just talking about everything. But yeah, I mean the the broken broke and what that means is it doesn't always have to be lost. No, doesn't have to always be lost. No, it's it's it can be various things, right? Right. I I just want to clarify that. Oh, yeah, yeah, absolutely. I don't want it to feel like don't don't harp on the brokenhearted, yes, harp or put your focus on the crushed in spirit. Yes, because we have a tendency to well, that's this is my plan that this is how I thought things were going to go. This is this is what I thought, which was my whole my whole thing was this is I'm gonna be married by this and I'm gonna have children by this, and it's gonna be easy. And it's and he said, No, girl, you will have some troubles and tribulations because I'm breaking, I'm breaking the chain. You're right. And I'm breaking off generational thinking, generational change that can come. And I'm like Pastor Troy said, you know, we're changing my new bloodline. You changed my bloodline. So for sure. For sure. You want to take the next one? Oh no. Well, the next one that we talked about, just recapping, was faith and quiet, trusting God when answers don't come. And that we our the verse that really spoke to that is Isaiah 30, 15. In repentance and rest is your salvation, and quietness and trust is your strength. That verse reminds us that strength does not look loud. Uh-huh. It looks like staying faithful when there's absolutely zero anything happening. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. And we had this one that we had another dear friend on. Yes. And Tammy was waiting on results of breast cancer, which came back positive.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And she and her husband declared that they were going to take communion every day. Right. Praying and most of all trusting God through it. You know, she was very adamant to say that this is his testimony, not mine. Right. It's God's, you know, through it all, she testified to others. She was a light in the community, a light in the medical office and hospital. She, you know, showed her faith and brought some people to God through it all. And, you know, I kind of think back and go, was that the purpose? Was to use her, of course, to use her as a vessel again. And again, some of these we don't want to just really dive too much into because again, it's a recap of our season, but also it's just go back and listen again. Go back and watch, go back and listen. It is such a great story, a great testimony to everything and what they walked through together and how it came out on the other side and God threw it all. Yes. So episode nine. Yeah, of course. 2 Corinthians 5.17. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come. This I think we got a little preachy. We we did, because this was this is where I gotta I gotta stop you because I don't think they know. I don't think they know that I don't listen to the episodes.

SPEAKER_00

You do now. Yeah, because this this one was your past is not disqualified.

SPEAKER_02

I know I remember this in my bones. But this is the like obviously my my the one that I did, this one and yours. Like those those stuck with me.

SPEAKER_01

I don't listen to these episodes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Kayla doesn't like to listen because go ahead. Well, I mean, so I'm a very emotional person, and I also know where my weaknesses are. I also know that if I listen to the episode and I hear my little country voice or it sounds like a man or whatever, that the enemy is gonna penetrate that and then I'm gonna quit. Yeah. I'm gonna quit what I'm doing. I'm gonna quit serving. I'm gonna quit being obedient to God. And instead, I say that is not an avenue that you're allowed to touch. The enemy is not allowed to walk that path. I'm not allowing him down there in that avenue. So I don't listen. And this is 100% Kayla sitting here having no notes, no just praying and saying, God, download your words to my mouth. Right. I don't think he downloads every word because you know I don't. He's probably like, God, Kayla, I didn't mean for you to say that. Like that's not what I meant. Like, you know, you know, you know. Right. But but I don't allow him. I don't know, I don't listen. So if you tell me you did a great job of like, thanks, yeah, yeah, you blank out most of the time.

SPEAKER_00

This one is where but I remember this one. I got girl. I just felt like so many people here, Coach. So many people want to just think that their past is their identity and they resonate in it, and they don't understand and realize that God has walked through everything with you.

SPEAKER_03

He has written your story, he knows the outcome, he knows the ending, he's following you. All you have to do is lean in. Like what you did in the past does not define who you are today. It does not define who your purpose is or your walk is in Christ. And there I go.

SPEAKER_00

It is just this one, it did. We go back and listen. Yeah, we do.

SPEAKER_02

Go back and listen to this one specifically.

SPEAKER_01

Like this one, if you are struggling within that you are not enough or that what could you give towards the kingdom? This one's for you. This one's for you.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, this one, this, this, like we did.

SPEAKER_03

We got me.

SPEAKER_02

If we didn't know any of them, this one we have to go to the Lord and preach like come on.

SPEAKER_00

I think everybody understands. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That one, this one was a really good one. So we're not gonna talk too much about it because you have to go back and listen. You need to go back and listen. Yeah, yeah. So the next one, yeah, we both of us. Yes, both of them, both of us talking about financial in a financial waiting season, which we had Casey on Casey on, yeah. So if you are in a financial unknown certainty season, whatever that looks like for you, yeah, this episode is for you. Like Casey done a really good job of she did, she did. She talks about so I love what she said. She said, I feel like that the first thing that Christians do is start their their faith away instead of pulling that in and really grasping it and leaning in on that and stopping and just praying over all circumstances, yeah, praying over your finances, praying over that check that needs to come, praying over the job that needs to happen. And we talked about Philippians 4 19. It says, and my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. You know, trust, dependence, humility, gratitude, faith growing. And and that prayer doesn't just come from provision, it's brought by transformation. And it was such a good it resonated with all of us. For those that don't know, I I I didn't think I mentioned it in that episode as well. That where you know, Casey and her husband Chris were struggling with some job stuff because of their business. My husband and I, my husband lost his job a 30-year career, just up and out of the blue of my husband lost his job out of the blue. Right here, exactly. I mean, it's just it's and we've all and that's that's just it, ladies. We have all walked through it. Yeah, we understand it, we we know what you're walking through, but but God each has provided. He has shown the way, he has shown a path, and we are so so blessed and so grateful for that. So we do, you know, that that one was a great one. It was and oh look you there.

SPEAKER_00

Episode 11 and 12 with a two-parter, guys. We had to make it a two-part episode for for you, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and I mean your story. Yeah. That's still writing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But this is the past. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. This this is where God was really This is when the podcast formed. It's the start of this, wasn't it? Like the idea planted. I I think I'd walked through it. It was right after Cadence. Yes. When he said, It's time for you to share your whole story. Right. And and and in that was like, if you were to take, like, you know, how you just open a book and pages, and it was like Polaroid pictures of my entire life. And it was like, but you're you're gonna start here. And so there's so much more to more to come, we're to unpack. But this was the one that was most recent, resonated the most, what needed to be told right now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And it was broken to grave when God rebuilds your life. It was a season that definitely pushed me. It was, you know, stretched me in many ways. It exposed parts. Healing that needed to happen, yeah, reconciliation that needed to happen. Yeah. It was a season that rebuilt me completely. Yeah. And but all for the best, all for the better, all for his glory. Yeah. There was not. I could not have done that without him first. Right. And my husband and the community around me. Hands down. Could not have done that. And we really kind of stepped down on Isaiah 43.2. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, and you know, it will not overflow you. And you guys can look that up. But also Isaiah 61, 3, you know, beauty for ashes, joy for mourning. And that that verse resonated after everything because that's where I felt, that's where I felt it all. Was I literally did have joy. I still had my joy. And people look at me and like you walk through all of that pain and that hurt and loss. And when I say it's because he gave it to me. Right. You know, yeah. Um, so yeah, gratitude, gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. And it's so funny. So while you and I was, I think it was you and I were sitting downstairs on your couch, and I think we were, you know, in the beginning stages of this podcast and work, you know, working out details. And I was still struggling with is this is this meant for me, you know. Like I still to this day, most of you know that, are like still like God, like really me? Uh-huh. Yeah. And it was a TikTok that I made. Yes. Very few. Yes. But it was we hadn't, we had moved, it was the second miscarriage that happened. And I made it TikTok. Yes. Yes. And just kind of like wanted to, I don't know why then I made it, because I don't know if I ever published it to TikTok. I may have, I don't remember. But it was Isaiah 43, 2. Yes. And we both looked at each other. You were like, I was like, that's my verse. And I said, What? Yeah. So that was yeah. That was like our little That was our God wing. Yes. That was our God wing. I was like, there you go. Yeah. This is why. Yeah. This is why. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And then the banger of them all. I know.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_03

The finale. Yeah, I mean. Well, technically, this is our finale. But yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

But the setup. But yeah. She set us up. Yeah, she did. She did. Melissa, episode 13, Faith Over Fear. And Melissa trusting God in the middle of uncertainty, choosing surrender, and found God's faithfulness in every step of the way. I mean. This girl wrote a book, Exposing Tombstones. Face what you've buried to live with confidence.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you right now.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you right now.

SPEAKER_03

If you haven't, if you haven't read this, go to Amazon. Yes. Go get it. Yes. Yes. We'll share. We'll share the link. We'll share the link. But we also have some news to share with you because a lot of people requested Melissa to do this. And she has answered the call. And the audio book will be out. So we suggest that you follow her. Her Instagram, because she will be sharing when that comes out. Is oh head it up. It's Mrs. M R S Melissa Rice on Instagram. Yes. You also I follow her. So if you follow me on Instagram, you can go and search her search our gens the same way.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

We also we follow her through the spirit.

SPEAKER_02

Just look for the beautiful lady that is an author.

SPEAKER_03

Just look for the beautiful lady that is an author. Um I cannot tell you how much this spoke to me. I recommended it to everybody that I can.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

So go get it. We'll leave the we'll leave the link for the Amazon down below. Yes, yes, yes, yes, for sure, for sure. And in that one, we have Bible verse, 2 Timothy 1.7 that reminds us that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. And let me tell you, if you have not listened to that episode yet, that verse, we were sitting here talking with her, and she goes, Oh, yeah, that's the verse. Because remember, we asked her. And she goes, I don't, I don't know. There was there was many. And then I read it to her. She goes, Yeah, that was that was one of them. I was like, Melissa, that that that verse really, I feel like resonates with yourself. Yes. With everything you went through. Her whole testimony. Yeah, yeah. But the book is, oh gosh, you guys, like we, I literally, I can't find the words other than you just need to get yourself and read it and find out. I will say, like, if you if you have something that like you are wanting to get over, to do, like just like tombstones that are keeping you buried. Yeah. Let me tell you. Right, here's your answer. Right? Seriously. On how on how to overcome it. Seriously. And how to how to do it with God. Yeah. How to do it with God. So we've done all these stories. We've done all these episodes. Yes. So our common theme is what? What's our common theme? Ah. I mean, come on, ladies. I mean, it's pretty obvious, I think, that God has shown up in every single story. He has restored, he provided, he healed, he carried. Even when, even in the silence. Yeah. Even when you felt like he wasn't doing something, he's always working. Oh, yeah. He's always there. He was always still there. Absolutely. Yeah. You know, there maybe there's, you know, where you're at right now. You know, if you're in the middle of your story and it's not breaking through yet. Yeah. That's okay. I know. That's okay. It's fine. It's fine. Like just keep praying. Just keep leaning in. Literally. I have the Bible sitting right here.

SPEAKER_02

Literally. You got to.

SPEAKER_03

You know, I physically like I will tell you that, you know, Kayla and I pray all the time. We pray, you know, the beginning of our episode. We pray at the end of the episode. You know, the Bible is if you don't know where to start, the Bible is it. Open, just open your book. And I will tell you that wherever you open your book is for a purpose and a reason. Probably at that time. Because God knows. God knows. So and we want you to, if you if you don't take anything away, we want you to hear this today that you don't have to wait until it's over to see his faithfulness. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Look, there's scripture that talks about that. And the Lamentations 3:22 through 23 says, Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new. Every morning, great is your faithfulness. Every single morning, not just on the good days, but the hard ones too. So for me personally, I feel like the season has been very meaningful. I love how God has shown up in everything.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

How God carried me personally through one of the hardest seasons that I felt was of my life. You know, for you, your miscarriage. For me. Losing one person is hard enough, but losing four is really hard. Yeah. Really hard. And I think it was healing for me personally to be able to share that. I I know that it it has probably touched and helped somebody because God gave that to me to do and a purpose. And so I know that it has. But it's also it's very hard to walk through. And I want you guys to know that you don't walk through it alone. Never, never do you walk through any of this alone.

SPEAKER_01

I've loved being able to find the confidence to speak. I think that's probably my biggest takeaway from this season is just like in my head, you know, you don't want to hear what I have to say, but there's somebody out there that it's gonna help. So I you have to God is building that confidence in who I am as a person. But I think the biggest thing is how vulnerable people have been.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh yeah. Like how I did not expect the rawness. I I was hoping for realness, right? I didn't expect rawness. That's good. I did not expect them to like this is me stripped bare. I love it. I'm I'm open in the door. I love it. And not just for us, because there's there's conversations obviously that happen off-camera, right? But the on-camera, like, like, and not just with us, but outside of this room. Yes. The rawness and realness and how how it's it's brought people closer together. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's I mean, really, that's only because of him. Oh, oh, yeah, of course. Only because of him, absolutely, you know, because of his faithfulness. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He is I mean, wait maker of everything, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, we don't have the story ends guys, yeah, I know. But but we I but we sometimes think that we have God's faithfulness planned out and how it's expected to be. Oh, yeah. And it's well, or yeah, no, no, no, you have to have you have to but like it. We expected him to do this and done something different. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But his faithfulness is uh it it it it's it like we said, it's not in a box.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, open the box, open the box. I can't tell you that enough. So so if you're in a waiting season, we want you to always hear this, and we say it all the time that God is still working right here and now, all the time He is working. Yeah, even if you're in a hard place, if you're questioning God, if you're questioning the season, if you're questioning yourself, lean into His His faithfulness. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not the world's your own, not your spouse's, not your mother's, and and and the world. Oh well, again, yes, this is his faithfulness, yes, that's right, yes. He literally this is how he says it. Not just with worship music and things like that, but this is he says that this is tangible. Yes, I think you can touch this. Yes, absolutely. And never isolate yourself. No, we we know how sometimes there are things that you walk through and it you it's it is easy. I've done it without even realizing right, right, right. So always stay connected, you know, to him, to your community. Because it's easy, yeah, absolutely. And whatever you are walking through, whatever season you're in right now, it is not wasted. There is a reason, there is a purpose for all of his good, and there is gonna be good. Just trust it, just trust his faithfulness. He hasn't left you. No, I made a note during actually the sermon today. It was so funny. God does not want to leave you where you're at. Oh, yeah, that's good. No matter what that season looks like, even if you're in a good season, that's not where God wants you. He wants to elevate that season, he wants to even, he just wants to keep you taking you higher and higher and blessing you and blessing you and blessing you. But you have to be faithful to him, and he will be faithful to you. And even sometimes when you're not faithful to him, when you aren't reading your Bible, when you aren't praying, he's still faithful.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like that's the thing that take away, even if it's hard, remember he's faithful.

SPEAKER_03

Even when you're upset and mad, he's faithful to you. Yeah, yeah. So we just want to take a moment. Oh gosh. I know, right? Like, I can't. I can't. How do you how do you say thank you? We cannot. I mean, if we could shout it and be just like, we cannot thank you all, the Spirit Sisters community for everything. The prayers that you pray over our podcast, over Jen and I, yeah, the messages that you send us, the words of encouragement that people have told us, or the fact that you said, I, you know, I thought this person would get a lot out of this podcast, this episode, and I sent it to them. Yes, yeah. I mean, and that's that's where it's at. This, this, all of this is because of you, because of you. So, you know, you are special to us. We pray for you. You may not know it, but we do pray. We pray for you. We pray for every single one of you. And like Kayla said, yeah, it we want you to continue to share that. We want you to continue to share every single story.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, and we that's why we truly believe God is moving through each and every story shared and will continue to move. He will continue to move through us until you all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So just because this might be our season finale, this is not the end.

SPEAKER_00

And I do want to say that because a flight of mine I said to her the other day, and I was like, Christy, okay. I said, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So Kayla and I are gonna be recording our our, I think when I talked about it. When you said finale. And she was like, no, no, it's not over. And I'm like, oh no, no, no, just the season. Just we are not done. We're not going anywhere. We are far from done, ladies. We are not going anywhere. We've already got ideas bouncing for season two. Yes, yes, yes. Season two. Yes, yeah. But we but we need, but we're we know when we need a break. Yeah, yeah. And so because of that, because this is our season finale, um, we have already been praying over what season two is gonna look like. But we do want to hear from you. We want to hear from you on, you know, if there's if it's your who you your story, you know, you yourself want to be here or know somebody, please reach out. Please reach out. But in the meantime, we want to be able to stay connected with all of you. Yeah. And so first, we want to make sure that you are following us on all of our social media platforms, whether it's our Facebook account, Instagram, and TikTok. And especially, I think more so our Instagram and TikTok.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because this is what we're going to do as we stay connected with you. We are actually going to be sharing some Bible verses and encouragement and answering prayers because you had a great idea.

SPEAKER_01

I did.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you're the one that came up with the prayer board.

SPEAKER_00

It's not just early on subdivision. Which I do have.

SPEAKER_03

No, because we were kind of talking about how we were going. That's right. So we were kind of talking on how we wanted to still be connected to you, ladies, and to everyone out there and how to kind of do that. So you did say you were like, I think it'd be so good to have like a prayer board. So if you have prayers, we want to put it up there because we want to answer it. We want to show you God's goodness, God's faithfulness. Yeah. So that's kind of what we're going to look at doing is that we're going to have a prayer board so that we can be able to all see God's work, God's miracle through it all. And there are some other things that God has laid on our heart that Kayla is like, your Holy Spirit needs to slow down. She needs to pump the brakes. Okay. He needs to slow the roll, you know.

SPEAKER_02

He's he's this and this, and I'm still over here trying to realize that I've just done a podcast. Okay. Like no.

SPEAKER_03

Meanwhile, he's laid something on my heart.

SPEAKER_02

No, just something, some things that's plural that I will be working on.

SPEAKER_03

Um and and Kayla is a part of that as well, and some of some other people that are in our community. So, but yes, yes. So we just, you know, we want to be able to just stay connected with you. So please be sure that you are following us on all on all of that. Yes. And if you can reach us on the social media accounts or even our email, you know, however, we want to know who we're praying for, what we're praying for, and all of that. Because again, we want to see God's faithfulness through it all. Yes. Because look at how He showed up in everything we've done this season so far. Oh my gosh. So, with that being said, we want to pray for all of you ladies out there. And and also, you know, when this episode comes out, it's going to be near Mother's Day. It is, which is wild to think.

SPEAKER_01

And I I personally want to speak to women in the room who I can resonate with, who are praying for a child, yeah, who are in that waiting season, or who have lost a child, whatever that look like, whatever that loss looks like. This Mother's Day, we celebrate you. We celebrate you. You matter in the kingdom, you matter to God and his heart. His heart is for you.

SPEAKER_03

I promise. It may hurt, but don't stop praying. Yeah. Don't stop.

SPEAKER_01

Keep believing in God. Keep believing in his faithfulness and his goodness and his grace. It may require you to do a little bit of work.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Get in his word, read, find out who Jesus is, get to know him on a different level, and watch your relationship flourish and watch the goodness of God flow into your life. Amen. So I just want to say happy Mother's Day to all of you. All you all are spiritual mothers. Yeah. Yours. I was going to say godmothers, godmothers, mothers, ants, ants, I mean, sisters. At some point in time, we all have taken on a mother role. Absolutely. Whether you have children or not, there is someone out there that looks to you as a mother, I promise. Yeah. And I hope that you know that you are celebrated. Yes. We're very much celebrated. Yeah. Celebrating love. Happy Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day.

unknown

I love it.

SPEAKER_02

So we're gonna, you're gonna you're gonna pray.

SPEAKER_03

I'm I'm gonna start. We're gonna do it together. Yeah. Yeah. So we're just gonna allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in us. Okay. And however we feel, but we want to just pray over each and every one of you. Yeah. So God, Heavenly Father, we just lift up all the women that you have laid on our hearts, that you have, you know, we know that each and every single one that is out there listening or watching, you brought here for a reason and for a purpose. And we lift them up right now. We're just lifting up peace over them. You know what is in their heart, what their prayers are for you, Father. We're just asking that you answer those. We just ask that you answer those. Any hurt, anything that they need comfort over, financial peace over. Um, we are just lifting that all up to you, Father. Lord, I ask that you would help women find their voice, help women to find their community, whether it be this podcast or whatever, whatever it looks like for their community. I ask that you would answer each need, but for women to rise up in themselves and take take back what the enemy thought that he stole.

SPEAKER_01

I ask, dear God, that you would give women strength. I ask that you would give them power over the enemy. We draw that from you, dear Jesus. That's the only that's the only power that we can draw that from.

SPEAKER_03

I ask that you would keep their keep their minds attuned to you, keep their hearts attuned to you.

SPEAKER_01

Let the words that you wrote in your word resonate with them, let their eyes see differently, let their hearts be different, let their minds be different, and let them speak differently about themselves.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. We tend to speak negatively over ourselves, so me included, and God, thank you for the confidence that you are giving me to share my voice. And I thank you for the confidence that you're building in other women, the confidence and the strength that some that a woman is going to find new today, and but it's all gonna be in your name, all gonna be in your name that we found that strength. Yeah, speak authority, speak authority. We speak authority over these women, we anoint these ladies, we anoint everyone that is there, and we speak authority over them. But they have the power, they have the power and the glory in you, Father. And we just give you all the praise and we thank you so much for every single one. And they are not lost, they are loved, yes, they are not alone, they are here, and we are just so thankful for everything and glorify you and everything that we do, Jesus. Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen.

SPEAKER_02

So we thank you for being a part of the season.

SPEAKER_03

Like, yeah, thank you for being here for showing up. You know, uh when you do when you listen to us, you know, we we love being a part of your coffee, your car rides, yeah, your folding laundry, folding laundry, whatever that looks like whatever it looks like. So until then, we want you to always, like we always say, stay rooted in truth, walk in faith, and that's over.

SPEAKER_02

And remember, you are never alone. We love you. Have a great day.
