Everybody knows that real estate is all about location, location, location. So where are the best places to live in America? Now the first reaction we have when we're looking for somewhere to live is, you know, where are the jobs? Where is there a good income? But when we think about it, when we're choosing a neighborhood, what we really want is somewhere that gives us things like, you know, is this a safe place for my family? Is are there great schools for my kids? Is the health care good? Is the air and water clean? Am I going to get on with my neighbours? Will my rights be respected? These are the real things that matter to people when they're choosing a location to live. And we've measured all those factors using millions of data points. The US Social Progress Map can pinpoint the best places to live in America. So let's go looking at the top five states for quality of life in America. And at number five, it is Maryland. Maryland scores sixty one out of a hundred on the US Social Progress Map. Choose Maryland if you want clean water, good health, and gender equity, but watch out for commute times and the risk of obesity. At number four, it's Connecticut with a score of sixty one point two. Choose Connecticut if you value safety, good K through twelve education and personal freedom, but watch out for expensive housing and air pollution. At number three, it's Minnesota with a score of sixty one point four. Choose Minnesota for great nutrition, good housing and excellent access to information. Minnesota's also notable that it has no particular weak points. And number two, it's New Hampshire with a score of sixty one point six. Choose New Hampshire for the quality of schools and universities, and for freedom and choice. But watch out for coronary heart disease and mental health risks. And then finally, the best state in America to live in if you care about real quality of life is Massachusetts. With a score of sixty two point five out of a hundred, it's well in front of the competition. If you care about health, education and rights, Massachusetts is the place to be. But watch out for risk of coronary heart disease, high air pollution and long commute times. So there it is, the best states to live in in America.
