When your heart is to hear and receive what the Lord says, your focus will be fixed on him, eagerly waiting to be blessed by his truth.  This was the heart and mind which Mary had, and in listening to this message, I pray, that you also will sit at the feet of Jesus, choosing that which is most valuable to our spiritual life, the word of God.

T this morning I want to try and deal with something that Jesus taught and uh hopefully that we and I hope you one thing about a true saint of God a true saint a true child of God is always ready to eat the word of God, always ready to feed. And I hope somebody received this this morning because it did my spirit good and it made me uh look at some things. But I want to deal with something this morning, how it's very important that we understand to have a life dedicated to God is extremely important to have a life totally focused on what He would have us do and how He would have us live. It's so very vital to this spiritual walk, to this Christian walk that we must be at all times careful that we have not allowed ourselves to be distracted to the point where it has affected our service and our worship to God. And it can happen so subtly, I don't think a lot of times we are even aware that some of the things we're doing are really distracting us from the life, the true life that we should be living toward God. But if we're not aware of that, and if we don't realize these things, we'll find ourselves to have gotten to a point of have drifted from God and the service that we owe him that is due to his name. I'm gonna show you a I'm gonna show you in the Word of God this morning. It's a story about two sisters. Living in the same house. And we must take that as a message in itself that even in the households we live in, you may be the sworn saved, but you may be living among with those who are not saved, or those who don't have the same mind, the mind of Christ, as you have. Or you might not have the mind of Christ, but the other person has the mind of Christ. That's why I see why the old saints would often say this is an individual wall. Because you, even if nobody else lived this life, even if nobody else wants to make it, this is a decision you have to make for yourself. You're gonna see in this text I'm gonna show you that one of these ladies made a choice, just like you and I have a choice. You got a choice to stay focused on the Lord, or you can choose to let yourself be distracted by the people around you, by the things around you, by activities that you do in your daily living. But what you're gonna find is in this particular text, Jesus is gonna tell you, tell all of us what's the good part in this life we're supposed to be living for God. And if you live accordingly to this life which he has called us to move, he's gonna also tell you, nobody can take that away from you. If Jesus is who you want to serve, if Jesus is who you you you strive to live for according to his word, nobody can take that away from you. Because every true trial of God, I mean every true trial, not the fakers, not the Jacobs, not the hypocrites, not the pretenders, not the actors, not the sightseers that's come to watch, but those, that group of true worshipers that are dedicated to living their life for God, that group of people right there do everything they can to maintain their loyalty, their commitment, their dedication, and their servitude to the Lord God Almighty at all costs. They strive to give it their best because here's the thing about it. In order to be that, dedicated and committed to God, you got to love it. And say what you want to say, say how you want to say it. Everybody in the church don't love God. It's not your mouth that lets the world know you love God. I keep telling people, it's not what you say that defines you, it's the life you live. It's not enough to know the scripture, it's not enough to read the Bible. Because if you ain't living none of it, it don't mean that. You got this thing, this is a lifestyle that must be lived. Not before uh to get popularity with people, not to uh stand out among the people in your family. I'm the only one saved, y'all ain't saved. That ain't that's not to be through. This life we live is not to be for us to throw off on nobody else. It's to give God glory. Because ain't nobody above fallen. But those who are truly dedicated to God, they make sure they watch their lifestyle every day. They watch what they say, they watch what they do, they watch how they treat people, they watch how they talk to people, they watch how they carry themselves. Not that they fear man, not that they fear people, but they know and fear him who looks and sees everything. Because they fear him who got the books, because one day the books are gonna be over. They fear him. The one who, if you're not living a saved life at his return, the word of God teaches that the wrath of God is gonna come against all those who are not living according to the word. And those who are sincere with God, they ain't gonna wait till the last day. They watching their life now. They watching what they do now. A true child of God lives each and every day as though God is already here, as though Jesus has already come back. And I hope you understand what I just said. They live their life as though Jesus is already come. Because they know he could come in every moment. And they don't want him to catch them idle, doing stuff they shouldn't be doing, living in a way they shouldn't be living. But they try their best, they say, and they pray constantly to the Lord to give me strength, Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Give me the strength to live this life that you have called me to live, because I can't do it on myself. But with hallelujah, with your strength, hallelujah, and the power of the Holy Ghost, I can live a holy life, I can live a righteous life, even if the very ones I love around me are distracted and don't want to live the life. I made other choices in life other than you. Too many people have made a choice for something else other than Jesus. And I'm here to tell you, you made the wrong choice. He must be first in our lives. But I want you to I want you to show you, I want you to see this morning, I want to show you. Because you will see it for yourself. If you follow along with me in the word of God. In the book of Luke. Let's go to the book of Luke. If you have your Bibles, I do hope you have your Bibles in front of you. If not, please listen closely. And I because I'm gonna read it to you. We're gonna see. We're gonna see the story of these two sisters. And even though we're gonna see the story of these two sisters, I want us to see ourselves and see what's what category we fall in. And we're gonna see what we need to ask God to help us in. In the book of Luke, the 10th chapter. The 10th chapter of Luke. And I'm gonna start reading. I'm gonna go from I'm gonna go from verse 38 to verse 42 as our foundation this morning. Luke chapter 10, verse 38, says, now it came to pass as they went, now this is Jesus, they and and the disciple, they leaving one place and they coming into another. He said, Now it came to pass as they went that he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha, received him into her house to invite him to come over. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. Now, remember that scripture there. Don't forget that one. Listen to what look at Mary now. She sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word. All right, okay. But Martha, the verse 40, was cumbered. That's an old Greek word. I'm gonna get you, I'm gonna explain it in a minute. She was cumbered about much serving and came to him and said, see, her mind on serving. She got to invite some guests in the house, her mind on entertaining, serving. But see, with Mary, see, when the when Jesus coming to the house, ain't that now more important? With Jesus in the room. But see, Martha's, she was trying to let me serve. I want to entertain. Uh, be a good hostess. Ain't that wrong with that, but you can't put that before Jesus. But Martha was cured about much serving. And came to him. She came to Jesus and said, Lord, does thou not care that my sister has left me? She'll left me here by myself. She ain't left you. Jesus in the house. She has left me to serve alone. I'm doing it all by myself. You see where her mind is now. See, our mind, we can be distracted, and I know we're distracted. And serve to serve, help me, left me to serve alone. Bid her, therefore, that she helped me. Tell her to come in here and help me. Verse 41. We're gonna get it. There's a lot in this. We're gonna get it. And Jesus answered and said unto her, said unto Martha, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things. You got your mind on so many different things that you don't even see the most important thing right in front of you that you need to be focusing on. You careful and troubled about all this stuff. Your mind on making flavor sandwiches, your mind on chips and dips, your mind on everything else but Jesus. And I'm here in your house. And you don't even realize that it's I'm here. I'm more important than anything else. You could be looking. You careful and trouble out, but that's all right. You want me to tell Mary, you want me to send Mary and have her be distracted just as much as you've been distracted. But I'm not gonna do that. This is what Jesus said in 42. But one thing is needful, ain't but one thing really needful, y'all, for the existence of this life. And that's to know Jesus. See, Jesus, he's the one, there ain't no life without Jesus. The word of God teaches that. Without Jesus, you ain't got no life. You ain't living without Jesus. I don't care what nobody tells you or how they say it to you. If you ain't got Jesus, you're not living. If you ain't got Jesus, you ain't really got what you need in your life. I say it again. If you don't have Jesus in your life, you don't really have what you need. Because what else can give you what you need? What else can this world produce? What else can this world offer you that can actually give you what you truly need in this life? Nobody but Jesus. He said, listen what he said. He said, but one thing, and but one thing, he the only one, that is needful, and Mary has chosen. See, I told you a choice had to be made. Somebody made a choice to live for Jesus. Somebody done made a choice to live holy. Somebody done made a choice to not be distracted. Somebody done made a choice for their mind not to be idle on foolishness. And for those who have made that choice, like Jesus, Mary has chosen. Now, can you say you have chosen? Can we and you and I say we done chosen? Or we did distracted every day and don't realize we distracted. Go all day, mind ain't been on Jesus now. Hallelujah. Go all day and ain't talk to him. But we say we love the Lord. But we say we living for him. Mary has chosen that good part. The good part about this life we live is Jesus. Ain't no good in nothing else. I don't listen. Don't sit up and let yourself be deceived. That thinking that what you got in this life and what you don't accumulate in this life, that that's a good thing. It ain't no good. Don't y'all know everything in our lives that is good, it didn't get good or become good on his own. Jesus causes the good to be in our lives. Through his many blessings. Through his word. Through our life being connected to him. Jesus causes the good to be in our lives. This world ain't gave us nothing that caused no good to be in our lives. What did Paul say? He said, There is no good in me. That is in my flesh. Ain't no good in us without the Lord. And Jesus saw this spirit in Mary. And he told her sister, she done chose a good part, which shall not. I was sitting up meditating. I was sitting up meditating. Must have been yesterday. And the Holy Ghost. Y'all remember I told you. In order to live this life, you gotta love God. You got to have a love for God. Because if you don't have a love for God, you're not gonna do it. But I heard the Holy Ghost, I heard the Holy Ghost speak to my spirit. He said, and it's God that puts it puts it in us to even love him. He said, we didn't come to God to love him of ourselves and on our own, because it ain't in us to love him. The whole go said, God put it in. Those who really love God, he said, God is the one that put it in you to love him. Then he took me to a script, hallelujah. Hallelujah. He said, You remember when Jesus asked the disciples, he said, Who do men? Hallelujah. He said, Who do men say that I am? Who do people say that I say? See, it ain't in man to know who, hallelujah. Teach Holy Ghost. Let them hold open and understand. Open understanding. Who do men say that I am? Hallelujah. And to show you they didn't have a clue, they got the name of everybody. Oh, they say you Jeremiah. Oh, they say you Isaiah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh, you you one of them, you one of them other prophets. Just as clueless as a bump on the stone. But listen, keep it if you keep reading that passage, you'll say, hallelujah. God touched Peter. You see what, see what God put it in Peter? He said, Thou art the cry. Hallelujah. Thou art the Son of God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And the Holy Ghost said, show me how God put things in it. And Jesus Himself says, My Father has revealed that unto you. That didn't come for you by no man. That didn't just be that was put in you to know that. And the Holy Ghost said, just like that, God put it in us for those of us who truly love him. If you love God right now, God put that in you to love him. That's why you can't help but the love of God. That means everything about it. That's why you love the word like you love the word. That's why you love living for him like you love to live for. God has put it in you to, hallelujah, to love him. You weren't born with that. None of us was born to love God. But if God has touched you through the Holy Ghost, and you truly have a love for God right now, it was Him that did it. Don't y'all see everything about us that makes us His sons and daughters? He the one that did it. He done did everything. He caused us to love him. He called us. He the one drew us to him. Read your Bible. No man cometh to the Father but by me. God the one did everything. We can't take no credit for none of this. But just like so many people, God has tried to draw. God has tried to put things in them. But they have made a choice to reject God. We know when God done drew us trying to get us to live right. We hear him talking to our conscience. We hear him talking to our spirit. But instead of receiving God and yielding to him or surrendering to him, a lot of us reject God. Because we choose to continue to live for the world than to come out of the world to love God, to live for God, to serve God. But that's alright. Just like that other passage in the Bible. When all those people were invited to come and take part of the Lost Supper, God refused. He said, My house is gonna be filled. Somebody gonna enjoy the goodness that God has prepared for them that love it. But we see here, in this story of the two sisters, one had a mind to hallelujah, to sit at the feet of Jesus. Yeah, sister. Normally I would be in the kitchen with you making finger sandwiches if it was somebody else invited to the house, but you're done invited Jesus. And if he finna say something, if he finna speak, I want to be where I can hear every word and receive every word he said or let come out of his mouth. So if you're looking for me, I'm gonna be in here sitting down at his foot and hear every word come out of his mouth. Because my mind is like this. When the master has come into the room, when Jesus done come into the building, everything else is shut out. That's why it's grieved my spirit a lot of times. When the anointing of God can come in, you can feel it coming into the sanctuary. And there are those that's sitting there that don't even notice it. Can't pick up on it because they don't have no connection with the spirit. You can tell when the anointing of God comes into church, come into the sanctuary. You can tell when the anointing of God comes up on you if you got a connection with the Lord. But those who don't have no connection, they will kill the spirit. They will hammer the anointing of God for coming in because they have no discernment of the Spirit of God and his anointing. Martha was distracted. Her thing was I got people in the house. I know Jesus, one of them, but I need to see you'd be surprised how many people they come to the house of the Lord to be entertained. And so many people are distracted. They want to entertain and they want to be entertained. But that's not that's not the purpose of living this life. They want to be popular, they want to be the one people say, Ooh, didn't they say? Ooh, didn't they? Didn't they that? They want to hear their name called. Hallelujah. But I'm here to tell you what my Bible teaches me. He said there is no other name under heaven whereby men can be saved. Is there any name that needs to be cried out among the house of the Lord? It's the name Jesus. Is there any name that needs to be recognized? It's the name of Jesus. My Father, in his word, he has given him a name above every name. It's not your name needs to be called out in church. If we ain't there, gathered together in the singleness of mind to worship one name, and that's the name of Jesus, we're there for the wrong reason. Martha had got to a place where she's so distracted that the spirit of distraction that was on her was stronger than the spirit that should have been on her to recognize nothing should be now that Jesus has come into my house, nothing is more important than we hear what he has to say. How are you gonna invite Jesus into your house but not give him the honor and the recognition that due to him? You invited him. And so many times we want to, we are with our mouth, we invite Jesus in. But when he comes knocking at the door, we don't honor him. We don't glorify him that's due his name. Because when he is here, nothing is more important. The quasi ain't most important. You getting up doing this ain't more important. The most important thing in any servant should be to recognize that Jesus is here and to hear the word that he has come to speak to his people through his servant. She was so distracted. Let me read something to you. Mary had chose to sit at the feet of Jesus. Mary knew that to live this life, I need more of his word. I need to hear his word. And sitting at Jesus' feet, you know, that signifies a readiness to hear. When you done got to that spot, you're right at his foot. That means you right there, you putting yourself. See, we need to put ourselves, everybody don't come to church and put their hearts in a position to hear. They want you to hear them, but they don't come to hear. That's why people do them long testimonies about stuff that don't even make sense. Because they want to be heard, they want to be heard. But we're not here to hear you. Unless you giving glory to God and what you're saying, all that other stuff, we don't even need to hear. Because it ain't bringing no glory to Jesus' name. That's you making it about you. Because you want people to hear you and recognize, thank you, all this and all that. The devil is a lie, and the father of them. It's about Jesus. It ain't gonna never be about us. And if we're not proclaiming who he is, we're proclaiming the wrong thing. It's about the word of God. And Mary knew. I'm not gonna miss it. You'd be surprised how many people sit up in church distracted, and they miss what they should have heard because their mind, they didn't hear it, because their mind was so distracted or dying. Something was just said that could have helped you. Something was just said that could have blessed you. But because you were daydreaming and your mind was somewhere else, you missed it. Do you understand what I'm saying? How many people come to church? They leave. A lot of times they leave like they came because they miss hearing the blessing they should have heard. So many people leave there and miss the blessing. Because you can't come to church. You can't come to the sanctuary, you can't come before the presence of God and be distracted. You have to maintain your focus. I come, I get my focus being before I come to church. I get my mind focused to receive whatever God got. I don't know what he's gonna say, I don't know what he's gonna do, but I have my mind focused. Lord, whatever he has, I want to stay focused, I don't want to miss it. Because who knows better than him is what we need. And if he's passing out blessings, you better you better be where you need to be, at his feet, ready to receive it. Not somewhere in the kicking your mind somewhere on what happened during the week, on what's gonna happen when you get back home. Sit up in church, mind a hundred different places. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. When your mind should be symbolically, your mind should be at the feet of Jesus, waiting to hear what he has for you. Now Jesus, Jesus said to Martha, you're humored about many things. You ain't she was humored. Meaning she was she allowed herself to be hindered mentally, she was worried about this, she was anxious about that. And to the point where it bothered her. I mean, let me let me show you something here. It bothered her that Mary was at the feet of Jesus and not in the kitchen helping her. Come on now. That bothered you that I'm that I'm getting what I need. You'd be surprised how many people get bothered when they see other people being blessed and they getting what they need from the Lord, but they ain't getting they ain't getting nothing. That bothered Martha. Power knows it bothered. Because she knows it could she couldn't hold it no longer. She had to go in there and tell Jesus, make her come here and help me. She's hope in here. No, she ain't. That bothered her. People who don't know how to get what they need from the Lord will be bothered by you who do know how to get what you need from the Lord. I've seen this. I've seen people fake it like they've just been touched by the Lord when they see somebody else being touched. Pretend like they got a touch too, so they can perform. So folks can see that they've been touched and get some anointing. Lord have mercy. How you gonna be true to serve God when you can't be truthful with your own self? You can't fool God. We don't have to be upset when somebody else is getting a touch from the Lord. Because what he does for one, he'll do for the other. But if you don't ever put yourself in the position to be touched, hallelujah. If you don't never put yourself in the position to receive, Martha, Mary knew what she supposed to have been. In order to receive from the Lord, she knew where she was supposed to be at. At the feet of Jesus. But Martha, you can't get touched by the Lord when you weigh somewhere else in the kitchen making chips and dips. That ain't what Jesus is at. You got to go where he at. And our minds, what I'm saying, our minds got to be where our minds need to be. Our hearts got to be where our hearts need to be in order to receive from the Lord. You can't expect the Lord just to come and come where you're at and touch you in doing the things you're doing. Uh-huh. There are certain factors that must be in play. Hallelujah. In order for the Lord's anointing to rain down upon you. God is not in the business is putting in putting new wine into old bottles. You got to live this life. You want to be touched by the Lord? Live holy. Live righteous. Stop being a hypocrite. Stop acting a fool. Live honestly before God. Be loyal to Him in everything you do. And you'll find yourself being blessed, just like Mary was being blessed. So many of us don't understand that when we are cumulative, anxious, and upset and worrying about a lot of things that ain't got nothing to do with your salvation. What you don't also realize is if you continue to let yourself be distracted, if you continue to let yourself, your mindset be somewhere that it don't supposed to be, what you're gonna find out is that whatever what words you do have in you, it's gonna eventually be choked out by the cares of this world. Let me read something to you. Let me read something to you. You ain't got to turn to it, but you can write it down. Mark 4, in the book of Mark, chapter 4, and verse 19. Remember this verse, this Jesus talking. He said, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things. Those desires for other things other than him. The lust of other things, entering in, that means you don't let them into your mindset. You don't let them into your heart. He said, Entering in, you don't let it in. See, a lot of us don't want to accept the fact that somewhere in our lives, the reason we the way we are, you're gonna open the door somewhere and let something in. Y'all remember old folks, the big mama them and grandpa names, you couldn't keep coming in out the door. You're gonna stay in or you're gonna stay out. You're letting flies in. You let mosquitoes in. And so many of us have let a lot of flies in, and a lot of mosquitoes in. Some let you done open the door or left the door open. And a lot of this stuff done enter in and cause you to enter into a life of being distracted. This is what Jesus said, entering in. It said, choke the word. Certain things you let in will choke the word. What it means by choke the word is let other things in that come from the world will hinder the word from being fruitful in your life. It can't produce nothing. Because you're letting the distractions in your life choke out the very word that Jesus spoke to your heart. This is what it said. Let me start over. And the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches got to have this, got to have that. And the lust of other things, entering in, that means you don't come in. Not they don't say trying to enter in, they don't already enter. Entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Unfruitful means it can't produce. See, if we understood the word, so much about the word we don't understand. The word is not only coming into your life for you to hear it. The word is not only in your life for you to live it, although living it is very important. But there are other reasons, other factors that are in play when it comes to the word. The word of God is also in your life to produce something. Woo! Now that's powerful talk right there. You understand what it's supposed to produce. If you let the word of God do what it's supposed to do in your life, it will produce things, fruit that you didn't even know that you're supposed to even have. Distract us from receiving more of the word. Like some people now, late, even getting on the conference call line. Some don't even uh join in on Sunday. But that ain't gonna stop me from pre-preaching this word. That ain't gonna stop me from telling to the handful that won't hear. Because I know what the word of God will do. And it's just me, me and one other. That's all I almost still teaching like it's a thousand of y'all on here. Or at the church, wherever I'm at. I'm not gonna go slack in something as precious. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. As the word of God. We're not to be like Martha. God don't give it. Jesus loved Martha. This was because these he's been knowing them a long time because this is Lazarus' two sisters. The word of God, sometimes we read the word of God, well, they was over at Lazarus' house. They will sometimes be at their brother's house, but they also had their own house too. And they the two sisters lived together. But sometimes they would go visit their brother's house, Lazarus. These are his sisters. But Martha, you know, she had a certain spirit because, you know, Jesus even had to deal with him again, Mary and Martha, when Lazarus died. Y'all remember how she said, well, if you had been here, my brother wouldn't have died. So she her she still didn't grasp a lot about Jesus in the beginning. Because if you read the story, when they heard somebody say Jesus coming, it wasn't Martha that ran after Jesus. It was Mary. She ran after meeting. But when he did talk about where you'd have been here, if you'd have been him. Let me tell y'all something. If you have the word of God in your life, and you're living according to that word, and it is a part of you, for you who understand that, Jesus is already here. He don't have to be here in physical form. And often for you to know Jesus is here with you. He got to be with you in physical form. But see, if you understood spiritual from your spiritual connection to him, you'll know he's already here. He here with me right now. And wherever you are, he should be where you at if you believe that. Right now. And if his word is in you, guess where he is? If his word is in you, he is in you. Come on, y'all. Don't the Bible say, My Father and I will make our abode which we'll live with you. We live in. And the Holy Ghost too. But this is spiritual talk, this faith talking, this believing by faith. Come to the word of God. Mother had a little, she has she had some old learning to do, but evidently something happened in Mary's life that she was already at the point where she understood this. Jesus is here in the house. We must understand, thanks to God. Yeah, I know we all have things to do every day. Some have more to do than others. Depending on what day of the week it is, we have things to do. But that don't mean you have to let that distract you from the life you live for the Lord. Anytime we let worldly business take over our mind and focus, it can become a snare to us, like a trap, a hindrance. Some of the very things we do can become a hindrance to us living a godly, holy life for the Lord. Because you can put too much emphasis, you can put too much. And when you put too much into something else, more than you're putting into Jesus, you have what you done, what you don't realize the distraction has done and created in you is, it has caused you to put something else first other than Jesus. Now you know you're in trouble. Because ain't nothing else, nothing and nobody is supposed to be first before the Lord. I said it because I know that's what the word teaches. Nothing's supposed to be first, become number one in your life before the Lord. I don't care how much you love your wife, how much you love your husband, how much you love your children, how much you love your in-laws, how much you love your job. I don't care. It ain't supposed to be coming before Jesus. Anytime we let worldly business become a snare to us, when it has begun to hinder us from serving God, and when a lot of people understand this point I'm gonna make this point I'm gonna make. So something else has got more good out of your soul than the Lord. But see, being distracted, you ain't gonna see that. That's why I got to tell it to you. Because a distraction also has an element of blindness, it can blind you to the truth, it can blind you to your own wave. And you'll start be thinking, you'll start believing that you're doing right in your own eyes. Oh, but don't be deceived. Don't be deceived. When something is hindering us from serving God like we all serve God, it's getting more good out of our souls than the Lord Himself. Because you don't put him, you don't put him last, because you don't made something else first. Seek ye first. In other words, I can say it like this and not change the the context of the scripture. What God is saying, serve me first. When you read that way and say, seek ye first, he's telling you to serve him first. Now, do you get up every morning and serve him first? Throughout your day, do we serve him first? And I can't answer none of this for you. I gotta answer it for myself. Because I'm asking myself these same questions. Do I get up, Lord, every day that you grant me life and serve you first in how I live? And the things I do? Or do I let sin take over? Do I let distractions take over? Do I let the cares of this world take over? Hallelujah. Leave one scripture. Let me read another scripture to you. And we're gonna pray. I'm gonna let you go. In the book of Psalms, the 27th chapter of Psalms. Psalms 27, and just one verse, verse 4. This is David crying out to the Lord. 27 and 4. He said, one thing, here. Same thing Jesus just said. Did he just say Mary done chose that one thing? One thing have I desired. This is what I desire, Lord. One thing have I desired of the Lord that I will seek after. That, excuse me, that will I seek after. That's the only thing I want. That's what David's saying. That one thing I want will I say seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. All I want is more Lord. To seek after him, more him. To dwell in his temple. I mean, wherever he at. That's one thing. It just comes down to one thing. Do you have Jesus in your life? That ain't gonna be one thing the Lord wants to know when you stand before him. Did you accept my son as your Lord and Savior? Is my son in your life? That's that one thing. Because when you got Jesus, all the other stuff is gonna fall in place. You're gonna do right. You're gonna live right. You're gonna obey his word. You're gonna follow the instructions of his word. You're gonna repent. You're gonna give up the world. You're gonna stop listening to the devil. You're gonna feed upon God's holy word. It becomes your food and your drink. And you're gonna hunger for it day and night. And you're gonna strive to live for the Lord holy. With everything and with all your strength, you're gonna find yourself, Lord, being loyal, checking yourself, doing inventory on your life, making sure that you dot every dot and jittle. I read that night to every dot and every title. You're gonna make sure that your life line up with the word, not the world. And whether people in your, and you notice, I'm finna let you go, but you notice how even Mary in this particular, she never focused on even what Martha was saying. She kept but focused on Jesus. She never responded to nothing Martha said or nothing Martha did because her mind was locked on Jesus. That's why you can't let yourself be distracted because folks are talking about you. You can't let yourself be distracted because folks want you to do this. People gonna want you to do what they're doing. She folk being here with me. No. You if you distract, you're gonna be distracted by yourself. I'm not gonna get on the bandwagon with you. You waiting on me. Uh-uh. We have lost enough time. We have been distracted long enough. The last thing I need is to have somebody in the same house with me, on the same job with me, causing me to be more distracted. I love you, but I can't let you distract my life, the relationship I got with my Lord and Savior. She never responded to what her sister said. I thought that was very remarkable. Because you, the sisters, get into it. I've been in that a minute. Don't know. She never responded. The response came from Jesus. Hallelujah. The one she was serving. He spoke for her. Mary never said a word to Martha. But Jesus spoke on her behalf. Because she had a connection with him. And he made Martha get on back in there. I'm not going to take that from her. She's where she's supposed to be. Ain't nothing more important than me being in your house. If I'm in your house, you ought to be glad I'm in your house because everybody ain't got Jesus in their house. I say everybody ain't got it. I don't care because they go to church and they they are they're a member of Rock and Mountain High. Everybody ain't got Jesus in their house. But if you are blessed enough to have him in your house, you ought to have the sister recognize it. And not let your if you got to be the only one, be the only one. But be the only one for Jesus. But keep praying for your family that they come around. But you stay with Jesus. Don't get distracted because they're distracted. Stay with the Lord. Lock your mind. Lock your heart. David said, Psalm 108, oh Lord, my heart is fixed. Get your mind fixed and get your heart fixed. That you're not gonna let nobody in this house, on this yard, nowhere distract me from being at the feet of Jesus. I'm gonna stay at his feet. Because if he's sitting down and talking, I need to hear. Because I got to receive every word. You remember when Jesus told him when the devil tempted Jesus to bake these stone bread? Jesus hung up and told him it's written, man shall not live by bread alone. We need more than just bread to eat natural food, y'all. He said, but by every word, part of our existence and part of our living is, we got to live on the word of God because the word of God is meat. The word of God is bread. Every word that proceeds out, that means that comes out of the mouth of God. And if you ain't eating his word, you ain't eating right. You better eat some word and not let yourself be distracted. God has made himself through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has made himself available to the whole world. But a choice has to be made. And we will never realize the goodness of what his word has to offer and what this life has to offer until we accept who he is and what he has done for us. Through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Holy Father, we are so thankful that your word comes to open up our understanding, that your word comes to bless us. But each and every day, Lord, I pray that we are learning it and our eyes are coming more open to the fact that we do not need to allow ourselves to be distracted from who you are and what you have done for us to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Help us now, Lord, by removing every distraction out of our minds, out of our thoughts that causes us not to serve you according to the way that you should be served, according to the way that you should be worshiped, according to the way that you should be praised. Hallelujah. According to the way that you should be honored and glorified. Help us, Lord, to glorify your name through our Lord and Savior. Continue, Lord, to give us an appetite, a hunger for your word that we must feed upon in each and every day. We cannot live, we are not living, if we are not feeding upon your word. Every word that proceedeth out of your mouth. Let it give us the nutrition, spiritual nutrition that is needed for us to be fruitful and be able to produce, oh God, what you would have us produce. Don't let us set ourselves up, Lord, for the distractions and hindrances to choke out your very word that is so precious to us. Help us, Lord, to release every distraction and give us the focus, the spiritual focus of our Lord and Savior as He stayed focused on doing your will and finishing the work that you gave him to do. Continue to bless us this day that you allowed us to see. We repent and ask your forgiveness of every distraction, every hindrance, every worry, every anxiety that has plagued our lives. Forgive us, Lord, and give us the strength, your strength, to continue to live this life pleasing unto you. We pray this in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. Thank God. Amen. Amen. Praise God. We thank God. Go back and read those scriptures over again, y'all. That was Luke 10, 38 through 42, Psalms 27 and 4. 1 Peter, 4 and 4. I didn't get a chance to read that one, but that's part of it too. And Luke. That was also in Luke, I read. No, that wasn't. That was Mark. About choking out the word. Mark 4 and 19. Praise God. I love all of you. I pray that the word was a blessing unto you today. Stay encouraged. Stay with the Lord. Keep living the life. Holy life, righteous life. And we look forward to being with you again on next Sunday. Lord, say the same. Continue to keep me in your prayers. Pray for each other. Love each other. Any uh any comments or anything? Let me stop. Let me stop the recording.
