SPEAKER_00

On my side, tell me where would I be? Where would I be?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, probably.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

All the people that's in here this morning.

SPEAKER_05

If you could just, if you had to answer that, all of us would probably wind up in different places.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

If we say, well, if I could say what I've been, if one the law was in my life, all of us got different answers, probably. But you know what, whatever the answers would be coming from all of us, all of them still wind up being lost. Because without God that really, I would say you were the Bible teaching. There is no life without God. I know, I know the world got us deceived, thinking we live in and this this is it. It's a good life.

SPEAKER_04

Not even close.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

But it's a deception. I'm saying if God ain't in it, what I'm saying. If God ain't in our life, we have no life. I I can tell you, Paul tried to tell us one day, he said, Jesus, who is my life. And that same Jesus was going to be the life of you and I. I just give on to God this morning. Y'all just know I'm I feel good. I'm happy.

SPEAKER_03

I thank God for the for the praise service, the worship service this morning, and the testimony.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

I'm gonna try to get to my word because we trying to, we I'm in the midst of a series, part two. But I I almost see Sister Tyler. I could go to talking about that often thing, but I am gonna hold it. They had me on, they had me on that stuff. But I want to get to my message. But I'm gonna tell you this much. The devil the devil would try to bring feel.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Yes, yes.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

In your mind when he he got you thinking when you can't breathe no more. Uh-huh. Y'all don't know what I think. There were many nights and days. Well I was so scared because to get one breath was fast. When they tried to get me up out the bed and exert me and them short breath calls. Turn it up. Y'all need to turn that thing up because I haven't always almost dependent on. I ain't gonna go into it now. But I'm here to tell you, before that was an oxygen machine.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my god.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

When man, see my my Bible said that when man was just laying there clay bodied, and when God breathed the first breath came from God. So I called them, but when I got finally did get home, y'all come get this stuff. You know I had two oxygen companies had equipment in my house. I told y'all come get all that. I told the firm, y'all come get y'all stuff, and this one him belongs to the other way, y'all come get y'all stuff. I did not use that when I got home, I refused to hook myself up to that thing. I'm gonna bring God out and get my long, these long he gave me. That used to breathe it on their own. And that's what I do. I trust you guys. Yeah, them days I have sharp breath. Well, they try to walk too fast or go upstairs, but that's all right. I said it'll get back strong. It's gonna worry. He gives me that. But I'm here, I'm thinking God. I'm God's gonna brought me a long way, y'all. I know ain't no one got a pesticide.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah.

SPEAKER_03

But all of us got something we can say about the goodness of the Lord. So glad to be back in the house with this first Sunday. This is August. You know who brisk us to get to August?

SPEAKER_04

God.

SPEAKER_03

Nobody but God. Nobody but God. And and it's Him that has allowed us to be here today. I'm thankful for His goodness.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, I'm gonna get into we've been doing last Sunday I've been I started with uh um uh a series called Repentance.

SPEAKER_03

I got started with repentance. Uh I didn't get through, but I wanted to try to continue this morning uh with you in the sanctuary this morning and those of our brothers and sisters that are on the conference line that are listening in this morning uh in various places uh this morning.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

We last Sunday got started with repentance, and we we, according to the word of God and according to our knowledge and understanding, we need to understand that it's when in order for repentance to take place, you have to get to a place of godly sorrow for the wrong that you've done in your life. I can't get godly sorry for what you've done, but for what I've done in my life, I have to become godly sorry. I just cannot uh uh say uh within myself, well, I didn't mean to do it, or it's all right. But I've got to become godly sorry, means I'm sorry that I did this before God.

SPEAKER_00

And before God.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

And also with repentance comes that element and that ingredient where not only are you sorry for what you did, but you want to change. You don't want to continue to have that thing in your life that's causing you problems. We dealt with that on last Sunday uh about how uh repentance, you must have a broken and contrite spirit. You must have a such a feeling of dissatisfaction and regret about the things that you've done in your life. And I'm gonna show you this morning that in honor in honor, if we don't repent of the things we've done, we are what's waiting on us is destruction. And we don't want to be destroyed because we refuse to repent of the things that we've done in our lives. One thing this morning I want to I want to start off is get it let's get this understanding in our heads right now that God does not want any of us to perish. I want to understand that. God does not want any of us to perish, he would rather have us come to repent. Although he knows everybody ain't gonna repent, but it's not his will that any of us should perish. That's what we're gonna start at uh this morning. Uh in 2 Peter, I'm gonna start uh in this part two series of repentance. Um also let me let me say before I get to that. Remember last time also when John the Baptist started his ministry, he spoke out to the people in Jordan, he spoke out to the people in Jerusalem, he spoke out to the Pharisees and Sadducees, and he told them with this one thing that you are to bring fruit, meat for repentance. That word, meat meat suitable for repentance. You got to bring to God the things you know are the things you need to be repenting of. Bring God, come to God truthfully with your lying tongue. Come to God truthfully with your wicked ways. Bring fruit, meat from repentance. Bring the stuff, put it on the table that you know you need to repent of. If you know you've been doing wrong, come before God and say, Lord, I've been doing wrong. Relat the serpent. Say, God, be merciful to me. When he looked up, he knows he's done wrong, but he said, Lord, be merciful. I ain't gonna try to hide it, I ain't gonna try to lie my way out. I've done wrong. Bring therefore fruit meat, suitable for repentance. That being said, he just said, He said, and I like it when the word of God tells us not to be ignorant. I keep telling y'all, there is a knowledge of God that we have failed to even chapter to. That God wants us to have a knowledge not only of who he is, but what ever he says and what that thing means for us. And to walk around in an atmosphere of having no knowledge is to walk around ignorant. And it's high time, God's people, his son, his daughter, stop being ignorant of who he is. Listen to what Peter said. He said, But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing. Stop being ignorant of the word of God and what it says. We ought to know, y'all know, I know we know nobody knows everything in this word, but it's different levels of knowledge. But some of us should be further along in the knowledge that we should be in the love, be not ignorant of this 2 Peter chapter 3, verse 8. He said, But beloved be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years. And a thousand years as one day. You can go to God one day, today is just him. Now, who do you know a thousand years and a day is just saying all the same? Not alone, a thousand years. That's the same. That's that's like one day to God. And ain't nobody live one of God days. Adam got pretty close nine hundred. I don't got in the nines and the eights, hundred years old. Methushan got before, but they still want the whole day was gone. He said, I want to be on you, he tried to read he said on the eight because he Peter trying to get us to know something. And verse nine gonna help us understand that. He said, The Lord is not slight concerning himself, his promise. See, so many people say because God ain't needed by next year, he must be mean. But see, we just got to try to jab with God's time, no matter you. So if he ain't done it by next year, that ain't is that like a circle? For God's time, a year, hey, is that even a circle, dude? But see, because we so called up, God, he ain't done it with me like he ought to be done to anybody now. We thank God for God. And he doesn't, I'm not sure. I don't want to promise. I'm gonna hear some of y'all something right now. There's some things God done promised that you ain't gonna live to. Read the Bible. God promised a lot of things to a lot of people, but it wasn't them that saw it. They children saw it. Now they cheered, cheering saw it. But the fact is, if he promised it, it's gonna happen. Whether you live to see it or not, just trust you. God is not slack concerning his promise. Let me get some point. And some men count slack. They think God ain't done it, he does slack. Stop trying to put God on the level of man. I wish we would stop there. Because he ain't nothing like me. See, because we only know man's way, we put everybody in that book. But here, here's what I'm trying to say. Even those of us who have been born me and women, I hope I say this y'all understand. The closer a lot of us get to God as we draw down here, it's spiritual, you gotta say it's the closer you draw out to a spiritual God, the less and less you become like who you came into the world. I know you came in this world as a human being, and as a man, a woman, a boy, a girl. But the more you get to God, the less you become, let me say it like this, the more, the less your way. Because some of y'all might not have done experience being called strange, uh, weird, oh and some people are those things, but there are a lot of people those things because they have chosen to forsake the things of the world. Yeah, and have chosen to become more of what God wants them to do. And they don't act like normal men, they don't act like normal men. Because God, you cannot remain the same when you walk with God. I told y'all last morning, there is a relationship. There's a lot of relationships that got to be with God, but there's one called, this is what I'm called walking with God. I said there's a relationship called walking with God. He not did it. And a lot of others, they walk with God because that was a relationship between them. And some of us need to know what that experience is like. We need to start walking. I tell you this, the more and close you are with God, the less you be going act like men and women.

SPEAKER_05

Hallelujah.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Worldly men and women, like you ain't even from here. I'm trying to get them on. As men count slagging, but this is what God is. Somebody was telling me talking to me about the answer. Somebody called me telling me about long-suffering. He said, This time by God, but if he is long-suffering to us, Lord.

SPEAKER_00

You know why God, why it seems like God like he would start out telling us that one day is God and they and God ain't slacking and sending his strongest, you know.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

But you know why? Because God is being lonesome. Now, why is he being long-suffering? Because he's trying to give us time. It ain't for him. Oh, he could have come in swiftly and swooped in and took us out of there. Took us out today. Well, he's lonesome because I'm leading up the point because you're gonna see when I get to reading this, he's trying to allow us time to repent. Because the longer he gives us time to repent, some of us just might make it if he just keeps being lonesome. If he just keeps being patient. Let me know. Now he's gonna get it, let me. The Lord's not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but it's long suffering to who? To us. Not willing. You know why he's doing it? Because he's not willing that any should perish. Why, Lord? But that all should come to the truth. He's trying to wait till y'all repent. And it's a foolish person sitting up in their heart saying that I ain't got none of them for. Well, now I wouldn't say that. Y'all can say that. I'm not finished. Because we are, I know we were born in sin. In shape. Here comes Jesus, Jesus. When Jesus comes, see, now we can be born again. I don't have to go upon the first birth. Now that Jesus has come and made it possible for me to be born again. But God is trying to wait on us so that we may be, that we may repent. And we ought to thank God for his long suffering. Thank God for giving me time to repent. So many people think that. And we need to stop this. Think that when tragedy it's got to be something that that person will be so bad, so terrible, so blood good. Because see, the tragedy, we see we try to erase the tragedy, or we try to erase the person's lives based on the tragedy that's happening in their lives. But I'm here to tell you, blues won't be, but I'm gonna say that. Ain't never one of them got nothing to do good. I think I'm gonna let Jesus tell you. Let me let Jesus say. Listen to this, listen to this. He said there were present in that season, some that told him, um, see, that was a that was a time back when Pilate was the governor of the land, Judea. He was older. Pilate was some else. And he would take human blood. You know, the Israelite people believed in making their sacrifices, animal sacrifice, blood and sacrifice. Pilate would take some of their human blood and mix it with some of their sacrifice. And back then, that was a that was a terrible thing to mix human blood when you sacrifice in your sacrifice. The sacrifice wasn't meant to of the goal of God. And they thought, ooh, he got some for him to do them things like that. That's such a terrible, tragedy thing. But let's listen to what Jesus said. There were present at that season some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all. The Galileans, because they suffered such things. Y'all think because they suffered such things, they must have been the worst Galileans in the world. This is what Jesus said. He said, But I tell you may, and woman because they're the worst sinners. He said, But except ye repent, ye shall all lifeless perish. And because there was no greater sins, nobody else ain't nothing no more since nobody else doing. But I'm here to tell you, looking at the wrong thing. If you don't repent, you're gonna perish just as they are. What Jesus is trying to get us to understand that we must repent to avoid the tragedy of perishing without the Lord. He wants to. He said, of those 18, there was a tower in Saloon. It fell and 18 people killed. Almost like that dealing that fell two weeks ago, a month ago. And black people must have been the worst kind of people. He said, Well, those eighteen whom the tower in Saloon fell and slew them. Think ye that they were sailors above all men that dwell in Jerusalem? Jesus said, I tell you, nay. But except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Jesus trying to get up saying, We've got to repent, or we all won't be lost. But he went through, he had to teach them something. So he tried a little parable and taught them a little parable. He said, He spake a parable. A certain man had a picture. Well, the longest y'all I've read this parable many times before. And I'm thinking it's about it's about not producing the fruit of the spirit, not producing the fruit that God, but there are some other kind of fruit, y'all. Let me show you something. Who's gonna show? In this Bible, he said a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came and saw fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dress, and the dress is the gardener of the vineyard, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none. Cut it down. Why cumoring it the ground? That word cum is old Greek word mean. Why let it keep taking up space and ground? You just put it out, cut it down, flex something else. That's fine. And what the devil is hoping that a lot of us is wasting a lot of time don't think and a lot of us is one day cut us down. But see, what God is trying to do is get us to understand we need to be producing, or else He's gonna move us out and pray and put somebody else in that stuff. That won't live right, that won't live holy. But let me show you the point the Holy Ghost tried to show me. Jesus started this problem saying he went in there and had a 53 year old and one nothing. And a lot of us don't understand until we repent. See, he started out talking about repentance. You repent you should all likewise praise. And this parable added to the fact that we need to understand repentance. Do you not know if we walk around in a spirit of unrepentance, if we cannot produce the fruit that's meet for repentance until we start going to God and repenting of our sins? How can you produce what God wants you to produce in your life if you have things seen that's blocking your growth? Your spiritual growth too. Three years out of three years you ain't repenting. Three years you ain't stopped doing what you did. You just take enough space. So he said, Take it and cut it down. But Jesus, who is the gardener? Jesus, who is our intercessor? He said, Lord, let it alone. Let me work with you. He said that he answered and said, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about them, till I have done it, fertilizer. Let me work with them. Let me try to prick their heart. Let me try to show them why they need to repent of the sins in their life. And then, and if it bear fruit well, and if not, then after thou shalt cut it down. We cannot afford to let ourselves walk around in a spirit of unrepentance with a heart of unrepentant heart. We must go to God and say, Lord, forgive me of the sins I've done, change my life, and have a heart to change from the ways. So many people sit up and tell people that you just can't keep going to God repenting. You can't keep going to God asking for forgiveness. But I say nay. What Jesus tried to make a point is y'all know the other parable in the Bible where this man owed this great debt. And he begged that this rich man to give him the debt, but he couldn't pay it. It was too much to pay. But the man had compassion on him and forgave him the debt. But he went and found somebody that owes him a few pits. Reach about him. Something. Pence now, some pants. But he owes this, he owed another duty. And he heard about it. And sent for it. Wicked should. You asked me to forgive you this great debt that you owe me. But you couldn't go out and forgive a fellow man a few tenths what he owed you. I don't know nobody on this earth, on this earth, that's gonna come before us and gonna come after us. I don't know nobody that's able to give an accurate account of how many times the Lord has forgiven me. If he is somebody tell me how many, how many times you know for a fact, accurate count now, that God doesn't forgive me. If your brother done you wrong, your sister, and they ask them sorry, forgive them. Don't hold it, don't forgive them and go on. If that do you wrong seven times in one day, forgive them if they ask for forgive them. Because when you come to me asking for forgiveness, ain't gonna want my forgiveness. And when I tell you I can't forgive you, now you know, but I look at the Bible says, there is a place where God won't forgive. Because my book said, if you won't forgive your brother, he said, Neither will I forgive you. So you can stop God from forgiving. If you fail to forgive others, the book said God will not forgive you. And you don't want to be in that place. You want to keep that open. Because you don't know what you're gonna mess up tomorrow. You don't know how you're gonna mess up for the day only. And oh Lord, forgive me. I say, but you don't say no. Do we understand what it means to be God and sovereign? Do you understand what it means to have a broken and contrast spirit? Do we understand? See, a lot of people understand why God keep letting folks get away with this. Why God keep letting he ain't gonna do nothing? We like y'all together. See, because he we want God to get us, but we stand back in the church and watch it. That's yeah, bad because then we thank God that what David said. Thank God. We said we sat down and said, Oh, wait, but she didn't. I don't guess she got what she today. He ought to know better. Well, one thing we don't understand about God, see I told you, we end them when it comes to God. Well, see, I'm gonna tell you, let me give you some knowledge on that. His way the Bible's trying to tell us something, y'all. We we and we still say, God is a good God.

SPEAKER_00

God is good all the time.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

And we think once we flip back around, we say something. And all the time, God is good.

SPEAKER_00

Well, do we know what that means? Let me let me hear, let me hear somebody.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Let me hear somebody real quick. Do we understand why God is good? Do we understand why God is being good? Because he don't have to be. Let me help somebody. For godly sorrow, work as repentance to salvation. See, if you if you god the sorrow of some of y'all thank God that you have a spirit of being godly sorrow. Because that's gonna help you help your salvation, that's gonna teach you to your salvation. Not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world working death. See, there are some people, godly sorrow, you sorry for the sins you've done in his life. But to have a sorrow of the world means I hate to give up the world. I don't want to have to stop doing. I got to, if I go to church, I gotta stop doing this. If I start serving God, I gotta stop doing. And and then we walk away right like a rich young ruler. When Jesus told him to give up all he had, he walked away sorrowful because he didn't want to give it up. That's a sorrow of the world because I don't want to stop doing my thing. But godly sorrow means you're ready to give it all.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

For my salvation. I'm ready to repent of it all for my salvation to be saved, to have a place with God. I'm ready to give it up all. Give all of it up. Well, let me share something with you about the goodness of God. While we sit around thinking that these sinners and people that do us wrong is getting away with this and getting away with that. The Bible says, and think it's thou this, oh man, oh woman, that judges another, that judges them which do such things. While you sit around judging folks as this and seem like they ought to know better, just because you done got saved and they still ain't seen, you think because you you got you done got sounds either, you don't found salvation, that you can look down upon somebody else because they haven't come out of God yet. But I'm finna tell you wrong. Oh man, that judges them which do such things and do it the same, because some of that stuff you still ain't let go away yourself. That thou shall escape the judgment. You really think you won't expect the judgment of God? Because God's gonna have the books open and go over to how you look down on other folks, and you still have some beings and some specs in your eyes that you hadn't got. But you wonder why I still had mercy. You wonder why I still had patience, you wonder why I still have compassion on the sinner. I'm telling you, do you wonder why I still show my goodness to him? He said, Oh, you despise now the riches of his goodness. Come on now, let me see. Paul's finna tell us something. He told us to the Roman church. Do you despise the goodness, the riches of God? See, God's goodness is rich in a lot of things that we feel down the street. We don't see all what's in the goodness. He said, Despise thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering. There he is saying it again. He said, Because you're not knowing something. This is that Romans, this is Romans 2 and 4. He said, You're not knowing something that the goodness of God. Listen to this something in God's goodness, leadeth thee to repentance. Oh, somebody grabbed that. A lot of people don't understand that God's goodness. He's showing goodness on their sins. Some of us, right now, the very reason we can't leave God right now.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Because over the years, he done showed us so much of his goodness. Hallelujah. And it was that goodness, the richness of that goodness, that draw me close to fish. Because when he should have been punishing me, when he should have been giving me what I deserved, he showed goodness and he showed love and he showed mercy. And it's the richness of that goodness that has caused me to go with him before repentance. Another way to say that is with love and kindness. That's our gospel. Human beings, we think we're gonna get peace by stomping them in neck and kicking them around and verbally abusing them and cussing them out. We think that's what give us. Well, we still understand how God gets you is with love and kindness. God gets you with goodness. And give everybody to chance and think back to some time when you know it was God that brought you out of this. When you know it was God that brought you out of this, when you know it was God that healed the vice. When you know it was God that when everybody ran off the left, you would God sitting there like, I'm saying when you understand the many times his goodness has had a great impact on your life, when his goodness compared you to I can't do God like this. I'm sorry, I can't do nothing because you can do good to me. When nobody else was good to me. You see, some of us right now we really don't know the goodness of me. One time I said, we know the goodness of God way better than we don't know. I know people say they're good to you. I'm good to you. You know, see, I I don't taste it with real goodness. I don't think it was real compassion in you. And it was his goodness. Let me let me read that. We just see we realize why God ain't got a hold of some people, because we don't understand that God is waiting for his goodness to kick into their lives, like his goodness kicked into our lives, and he's waiting to give them a long suffering, because when we wait for God's goodness to do the perfect work that it's trying to do in my, not in my life, but in the lives of others, we'll see the greatness of who he is. And we'll say, Oh, how in the world can somebody draw me just by being good to me? How in the world can somebody draw me by just showing me this kind of love? I mean, what I know, I all of us right now, if we were to tell the truth, we really don't need no judge to judge our lives because we're right now, all of us, if we just tell the truth, all of us know what we can do. Oh, let me let me say that. I know what I deserve because all of us for the sin that I've done in my life. I know what I deserve. According to the word I'm talking about. Not man's life, but according to what God would do to you, I already know who I'm supposed to be gone. Totally strong. Because the wages of sin is sin.

SPEAKER_05

How about we supposed to be dead?

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

But the goodness of God, which led us to repentance, which led us to, Lord, forgive me, which led us to humble in ourselves, because I'm kind of sorry for the thing we do, and Him being so full of compassion.

SPEAKER_04

Hallelujah.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

I forgive you. Don't y'all know when God forgives. When God forgives, the slate is right. I'm not what you did the day before, last week, last month. If you done gone to God with a God, with a God the sorrow and true repentance, the slate has been white.

SPEAKER_00

And you can now stand before him without spy, without blessing.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Now, repentance is also not saying you have a heart and mind not to go back and do them things again now. Don't go back to the deep no more, go and sin no more. But you have been forgiven. He said, Neither will I condemn you, but don't go and sin no more.

SPEAKER_00

Before I go.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

I'm gonna share something with you all. I'm gonna share something with you all. There is a place if we don't hear up and get serious about repentance. There is a place. This ain't me making it up. I this is in the Bible. There is a place of no repentance. But you don't want to find yourself in that place.

SPEAKER_00

Let me read something to you.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

He said, let there be any I want to explain this. Any fornicator or profane person. Let me let me see what I'm finna talk about is Esau. Jacob's twin brother. But I want you to understand what Paul is trying to say. He's about to say here. He said, let there be any fornicator. Now, right right away we go to think about fleshly fornication, natural sort of fornication, sexually fornication. But there is another level of fornication spiritually. When we you just go and do anything under the sun spiritually before God, it's like you don't have no morals, no spiritual understanding on what God requires. And Esau was such a man to the point that he was also called a profane person. That means anything went with Esau. It didn't matter with Esau. But here's the most damaging thing about Esau. He did not realize not only who he was, but what he had. What had been given him. Being the firstborn, even though they were twins, being the firstborn, the inheritance was upon you. And those of us right now, because we are profane persons, we just go on with anything and realize that we are putting in jeopardy our inheritance. And we are about to lose it and not ever gonna be able to get it back. See, here's the thing about it. Lest there be any fornicator, any profane person as Esau, who for one morsel, just for one sin, some of us done gave us our whole inheritance that God wants us to have. Just one little marsel of sin. One morsel of meat sold its birthright. And some of us, for one more taste of that sin we enjoyed, we don't realize we have sold in the in the process of that, we have sold a birthright, which has given us a right to an inheritance given to us by God. Let me show you. What Esau didn't realize he had, and what some of us don't realize we had is Esau had a blessing coming from him that was going to come from his father Isaac. The blessing of Isaac was going to pass to the elder son, which was Esau. Isaac's blessing had come from his father, Abraham. Abraham first got the blessing. That's why God called Abraham the friend of God. God gave Abraham a blessing that was going to pass down from him to his children. Abraham walked around in the blessing that came from God. That you don't turn down, then they come from God. Abraham passed it on the eye, and everything's high. Abraham and Isaac. But when they got to Esau, he despised it and sold it like in one.

SPEAKER_00

Let me show you how something. Let me show you how I'm birthright. For God has passed on the earth.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

The spiritual one has come from Jesus. And some of us are despised. What Jesus has done for us. And that's just like the God despising your inheritance, your birthright, and your wisdom. And see, when Eli when Esau finally realized what he had done, let me show you something. Cry like a baby. He said, For you know how that afterward, he didn't realize that be done sold it for nothing. Just to eat. Just to enjoy sin. See, some of us just enjoy sin one more game. One more time. I'm just gonna do that one more time, then I'm gonna do it. But that one more time might be the one time you shouldn't have been. And you'll miss out here. I just told y'all there is a place of no repentance. And some of us say we can play this game. But you show me somebody that's better at this than God.

SPEAKER_05

God.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

God's been doing this thing long than you will. Listen, let me show you something. I know we read about Esau, but listen, look at yourself. He said, For you know how that after, when he would have, he would have. Look at the word. He would have inherited. He would have got the blessing. He would have had the blessings of Isaac that came from Abraham, that came from God, passed on to him. See, some of us, see, a lot of us is at the wood have almost about to make it in and about to go into the city and gonna miss out. Some of us gonna get to the door and ain't gonna go in. Some of us gonna get all the way to all the way to the ain't gonna be out there knocking the door. I can find foods, burdens. And he's gonna say, get away from the door. I don't know y'all. He would have. Don't be those that's gonna be in that would have inherited crowd. He would have. See, but you know that how that afterwards, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected. I'll tell you another thing. You don't want to know what it feels like to be rejected by God. You don't want to know that. Don't play with that. The reason he rejected because he sold something that came from God. This blessing out of the past, it came all the way from God. It just came down through generation, but it was his turn to receive it. And you see how it went to his brother and said him to say you won't say we stopped lying on Jacob. Jacob didn't seal that verse 50. Esau sold it. Jacob was just a trickster that took advantage of the situation. But he didn't send it and he didn't take it. Esau sold it. Now that's what the Bible teaches. I know we hear preachers say a whole lot of things. No. Jacob, even though he was a trickster, he was a slipper. He understood the value of the birthright. He would have inherited the blessing. He was rejected. He found no place of repentance. What are you trying to say? He tried to. He tried to say the Lord forgive me. I mean he says. Though he sought it carefully with Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Esau cried on many days. Begged God on many days to undo what he had done. But did God undo it? Never he is.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

And you don't want to play with something that you can't repent. You better be careful. Repent while you can repent. And so you get to that place of no repentance. Because even all the snot you can pull out, all the tears you can crash, all the hollow script you, it ain't gonna change. Going, hang on. If he done rejected it, it just rejected it. Because, and see, that's why a lot of people is gonna go to hell and to eternal damnation. Because God has an inheritance. We do know what the inheritance is. That's Jesus. And some people are gonna matter because when God sent his son back in and you have rejected his son for what he had done for us on the cross, to reject his son means God's gonna reject you. Now is the time for us to repent. Now is the time for us to accept what Jesus done for us. So that when he comes back in, God won't find us still in a state of unrepentant heart where we have real and produce good fruit because you cannot produce nothing for God when you're walking in unrepentant. Lives, unrepentant hearts, and unrepentant spirits. That's meet for repentance. That's meet and suitable for God to get the glory out of your life. We must repent. And if you have to do it five, six times a day. I ain't saying deliberately go do wrong now, y'all. Ain't the Bible teaching, and that ain't what I'm saying. But if you find yourself in trouble, if you find yourself making a mistake, if you just find yourself, Lord, that's the one check my life. Go to God with the Lord's first man. For I repent of anything that's gonna cause a rip in our relationship, that's gonna jeopardize my inheritance or my life with you. I repent from a godless sorrow of heart, a broken and contrast, because your goodness, you have been too good for me to do the things that I said and let my flesh do. We must find that place. What we tell ourselves and gain control of ourselves through Christ Jesus, where we just flat out and say, This has got to stop. I've got to stop doing this. And Lord, I'm begging you for your strength and your help to help me to stop doing this. This kind of mind that I got, this kind of thinking I've been doing, is not consistent with your word. And Lord, I need you to clean my mind now. And I'm gonna tell you what He's gonna do, how He's gonna clean. The best cleanser for a throw-off mind is the Word of God. The word of God got a way of filtering out trash and mess and replacing it with the truth of God's word. Which causes you to live a life of obedience. Because if you get enough word in you, I don't care what you come up against, what situation you face with, the word of God, the whole gonna go automatically bring the word that's fit for your situation. Instead of you thinking like people, you'll start thinking like the word. And it's gonna be the word that governs your life, which in turn is that you like God to govern your life through his word. But we must repent. We must have God forgive us. Say what you want to say. There is another place in God that you can walk in a sinless lifestyle. What's on my we might not be done got to give us there's a place in God you go all day without sin.

SPEAKER_05

Hallelujah.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Go all day without practicing singing. Because he who is sinless should be living through you. When you let him who is sinless live through you, it'll help you to live sinless. But you gotta surrender now. You gotta give totally over to him. Mind, body, spirit, your soul. Everything got you. You gotta give it all over to him. And let him to be your mouth, talk through you.

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Let him think through you, let him live through you. That's why look for Paul trying to say, that's why Paul said, I'm dead, but yet I live. He said, but not I. It's the Christ that lives in me. And it's Jesus that will live through you and I. If we will repent, give ourselves to him. Praise God.

SPEAKER_03

We thank you for your words this morning. Help us to repent, to walk in that repentance.

Pastor Rickey D. Dixon

Oh God, and also help us to understand just how good you are. And it was cause of your goodness that has led us to repentance. Your goodness has led us to a life of living for you. Don't let us, Lord, come into that place of no repentance. Don't let us, oh God, sell out the very thing we need in our lives in you.

SPEAKER_01

Keep us, oh God, with humble spirits. Keep us with humble minds. Keep us in the center of your will. As we live according to your word each and every day, in the name of Jesus, we thank you.

SPEAKER_00

And we bless your holy name. Amen. Amen. Amen.

SPEAKER_05

Thank you, Lord.
