The First And Great Commandment - (part one)

The first and greatest commandment of all is, to love the Lord our God!

I say good morning to everybody, everyone that's joining, and to those that will be joining as we go on in this service, our second Sunday service, conference line service, uh June the 8th, 2025. I've been studying a lot this week, so that's so I'm finna do something. We might as well, I'm gonna start a series. Because I know I'm not what I got is not gonna, I'm not gonna be able to get it done in no hour. So I already know it's probably gonna be a series. Now I don't I just don't know whether it's gonna be two part or three part, but because there's a lot of material concerning this particular area. Because this morning I already have close to nine pages that I've already through the week have put together on this particular subject. But it needs to be taught, it needs to be heard this morning. And I pray that you open your spiritual ears to hear this morning, get your Bibles, note pass, whatever you do, take notes, and but this morning we're gonna be starting a series. Now, the name of this series is called The First Commandment. The first commandment. And I'm taking this from Jesus. What he said was the first commandment. Now, it's also gonna tie in with the first. Now, that's a difference. I said first commandment, I didn't say the ten commandments, but this, what I'm gonna be dealing with in this series, gonna tie in with the first of the ten commandments. But Jesus said something in his teaching that he himself called the first commandment. And this first commandment gonna tie in, you know, the first of the ten commandments gonna say the first of those ten back in the Exodus chapter 20, it states that thou shalt have no other God before me. That's the first of the ten commandments. But this morning, this first commandment that Jesus is gonna be talking about is gonna tie in with that. So it's all gonna come together. You just need to strap in because what I'm finna teach this morning about the first commandment that Jesus talked about, it's gonna show and reveal unto us that if we are not doing it, and most of us are not doing it, we're gonna be real this morning. I don't care if you save or unsave, most of us have not done this. Because in my study and the research, I realized that I have to ask my own self this question. Are we doing this first? What Jesus Himself called the first commandment. That's why I say I gotta take my time with this here. This gonna have to be a two or three-part series. So let us get into the let us get into this new series beginning this day, the first commandment series. Here we go. Most of us have no problem understanding how to love with our hearts. Most of us understand that. Because we don't, we don't be in any of our relationship. We didn't we thought we was in love and love this and love that. But we have no have had no problem with loving from our heart. And that's a good thing. But let's just talk. We're gonna get on spiritual level. We have loved a lot of people with our hearts throughout our lives. That is the love we have had for our parents, our relatives. There's a love we have had for our spouses, children. We have loved our friends, other members of our family, associates, whatsoever. And love is a beautiful thing. You'll never you ain't gonna never take away from love that is meant, it's not a beautiful thing because it is. Now, whether you are are giving it, were you giving love or you receiving it? It's a good thing, it's a beautiful thing, especially when it's real. But let us be clear this morning. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. As precious as love is, hear me this morning, and as needful, we all need it. Come on now, everybody won't be loved, and as needful as it is, in reality, let's get in the real showing love from our hearts, giving love from our hearts, or receiving it with all our parts. Here come the truth now. I'm gonna show it to you. Doing all of that, it is not complete when it comes to loving the Lord our God. I'm gonna let that soak in. Loving God from our hearts, we're finna find out that that is not enough. Not when you apply it to God. Now you can you can apply from your heart to other people, but when you come to loving God, when it comes to loving God, to love him from your heart is just simply not enough for him. I'm gonna tell you why. You know why? Because God wanted all. What are you talking about? Because, see, what we what we have failed to understand is that we are capable of loving from other areas of our being than just our heart. A lot of us don't know that, but see, it's gonna be taught to you this moment. See, we have been taught, hallelujah, hallelujah, that we are to have, that we are to love the Lord our God, we taught to love God. That's a good thing. But, see, this moment, I want to enhance your knowledge. I'm gonna add to your knowledge more deeply when it comes to loving the Lord our God. And even though we say that we love the Lord with all our hearts, I am here to tell you that loving the Lord from our heart, just only our heart, is not enough. It's not loving God. We owe God way more than just our hearts, y'all. See, it may be enough to love people with just heart, but it's not enough when it comes to loving God. I got to stress that point because I'm gonna tell you something. I'll tell you why. This is and should be our attention. Because according to the word of God, we are required and instructed to love God in three other areas of our being. All together is four, four areas that we are required to love God. The heart is just the first one. See, which we we're gonna explore this this in this series of the first, Moses called that. I like the way Moses, Moses called it the first and great commandment. See, we're gonna learn during this series the four areas of loving God heart, soul, mind, and strength. Moses also says, strength with your might. See, we we are capable, whether we know it or not, we are capable of loving God in all four areas. And in order to love God, we're gonna have to love him all four those areas. Number one is this, because he has commanded it. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And if he has commanded it and we're not doing it, we are in a we are in disobedience. To his word and to his will. We are in disobedience. Now you see why I said it's not enough just to love God to heart. Because the words have told us we got to love in three other areas besides the heart. Heart, soul, mind, and strength. Now, here comes the the the big bodacious question. How do we do it? How do you love from all 40 areas? Because all we know is how to love from the heart. How many people haven't been taught how to love with your mind? You can love something with your mind. You can love something with your soul, you can love something with your strength. How many of us have been taught that? But see, this morning the word of God is gonna teach us. Because see, when the word of God teaches us a thing, we know that it's teaching us right. We know that it's teaching us right. Most of us are highly knowledgeable and loving from the heart. But what if I told you that we are capable of giving and showing love from other parts of our being according to the word of God? I am here this morning to tell you that we are capable of love from other areas of ourselves. And from these other areas, we are also required to love God. But we have not been taught how to love God from these other areas. That's why I said in the beginning, a few minutes ago, I said, most of us are not doing this. Because we ain't been taught this. Yeah, we taught to love God with a heart, but we ain't anybody ever taught how to love Him with your mind, soul, and strength. But we're finna learn, we finna learn in this series. That's why I gotta take my time with it. Because we cannot continue to stay in a state of disobedience. See, disobedience, disobedience. Whether you know you've been disobedient or no, you're not being disobedient. And if you ain't loving God with heart, soul, mind, and strength, we are in disobedience. Because the Bible done told us to do this. Now, it's been the neglect of leaders and preachers and pastors and whoever who have failed to teach us this according to the word of God, because it's been in the book all along. Most of us, most of us as people, we do not realize that we can also love with our mind. If you were to ask somebody how do you love the mind, they would have a clue. What that they understand what you're saying, but they wouldn't know how to do it. We can love with our soul. Nobody ever told nobody how to love their soul. I ain't never heard. But those folks ain't never here tell us. And we can love with our strength or our might. In all of these areas where we must love the Lord. I told you, God wanted all. He wants it all. I'm gonna tell you something else. In all four of these areas, even if you love other people in all these other areas, he wants to be first in our loving him from every one of these areas. He wants to be first when it comes to our heart love. He wants to be first when it comes to our mind love. He wants to be first when it comes to our soul love, and first when it comes to our spirit love. And all of these areas is where we must love the Lord in order that our love for him and towards him will be complete. Come on now. Our love for him is not complete. See, you ever wonder why your love for who you involved with has never been complete? See, some of our love for one another ain't never been complete. Still ain't complete. Because we don't love the person we with even now. I don't care if you're married, I don't care. You don't, you will, if you search your heart and soul and mind and search the truth, you'll see you don't love the one you with completely. And if we can't love one another completely, don't love your children completely, how can we say we love God completely? But this is where the truth, the light of the truth, is going to shine into our hearts and mind and give us the knowledge we need. Because until we first, I might as well tell you this here too. Until we first can love God completely, we won't be able to love one another completely. Because we won't have the foundation of it. See, everything got in our lives, the foundation got to start with God. Even when it comes to love. And if we ain't loving God completely, how you gonna love one another completely? How do you if you ain't loving God right? How you gonna love one another right? Come on now. Let's be real. Why do you think so many relationships of marriage don't work? Because they don't love God. I don't love him completely in the way he needs to be loved. Um, because see, when you love God, you're gonna learn how to love. Y'all hear me? If you love God, when you let yourself go and surrender and submit to God, loving him, you're gonna learn how to love others through by how you have learned to love God. Because that's gonna be the foundation of every other love you may have in your life, whether it be your spouse, your children, mom and daddy, relative, anybody else. The core of your love, that spirit of love in you, is gonna be the foundation that you have loving God. It's gonna stem from that foundation. That's why love in our regular lives is not complete, because our love for God has never been complete. I don't know. See, we think because we done because we saved that this all is supposed to come automatically? No. This is process, this is what you learn. That's why I keep telling y'all the word of God is key. Everything we must know, need to know, got to know, it's got to come from this word. It's in there. Now, whether you search the scriptures or not, whether you heard it or not, it's still in there. And it's for our good. I'm gonna read that to you in a minute, too. It's for our good. Why do you think so many marriages are so crazy? See, if you if you crazy acting in your love in your other relationships and friendships and all those other kinds of shit, you know your relationship with God ain't good either. Because how you acting now, how we act now in showing love or not showing love, it's just a testimony and a witness that we don't love God. Because God don't act like that. God don't love like that. Because, see, if the love of God was truly in our heart, it will show in the way we love others, because the love of God, which is the spirit of God, will show up in how we treat, talk to, and care for others in our lives. And if it ain't the love of God we exhibit it, it ain't love at all. I said, It ain't love at all, because God is one way, he don't change, Beatrice Franklin, that his love for us will be seen in us if we love him and if our love for him is complete. We must understand that we must love him in every area. Not just one and say, Well, I love him with my heart. Well, but what about the other three? What about the other three areas? Every area of our lives that we are that it's that it is possible for us to love. Now, the Bible don't play on words. If it says we can love with our heart, soul, mind, and strength, that means it's possible for us to do. Now, just because we ain't done it don't mean it's not possible. You just ain't did it. But if the book said we can do it, that means we are capable and that it is impossible. We must understand that we must love him, him, God, in every area of our lives. In every area of our existence, that it is possible for us to love because this is the this this is truly the first commandment of always. It starts off with loving God, and you cannot love God when you got other gods before him, other things before him, other agenda before him, other programs before him, other ideologies before him. You'll never love it until you get you and what your agenda is out of the way. Let me lay the foundation. And the foundation I'm gonna lay is gonna be the word that Jesus said. He's gonna be our foundation for this series about the first commandment. In the book of Mark, chapter 12, two verses. Make sure some of y'all make sure y'all keep hearing something. Make sure your phone's on mute so we won't hear the background noise. Because we are we are recording. In the book of Mark, chapter 12. Chapter 12 of Mark. This Jesus talking. Two verses, 29 and 30. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. This is what Jesus said. Take your time. Don't don't don't chew it, Fan. Take your time. The word of God said, verse 29 said, and Jesus answered him. He was talking to Judas. Not not Judah Iscariot. There was no other disciple named Judah. There's other Jews. And Jesus asked him, the first of all, listen at this. Listen, take it slow. Take it slow. The first of all the commandments. The Bible got a lot of commandments, y'all. Let us get out of our stuck minds that think there's only ten commandments. No, it ain't. It's a lot of them. Because commandment is just whatever God done said and instructed us to do. The ten that he gave the children of Israel in the wilderness was for them according to what they was going to go through in the wilderness. But there have been many more commandments given since then. And I can prove it to you right here in the word of God, because Jesus Himself said it. The first of all. He didn't say the first of the ten. He said the first of all commandments is this. This is the person. He, O Israel. Now you put yourself there or your family there. Hear people of God everywhere. The Lord our God is one Lord. That's one thing you need to get in your head. Just one God. And one Lord. Okay, G. Break it down to verse 30. He says this. And thou, thou means you in Greek, in Hebrew. And thou shalt love, that is love. I'm finna show us how to love God this morning. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God. Now is he your God? Now, if he's your God, this is how you got to love him. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God. Number one, with all thy heart. That is all. Remember, that word all is a big word. Because see, some of us try to be slick, and so I think we got I love him with some of my heart. He's the end of somewhere, huh? He said, All. Number one, with all thy heart. Number two, and with all thy soul. Is he talking about love? Love with all thy heart and love him with all thy soul. And love him with all thy mind. And love him with all thy strength. What'd you say, Jesus? This is the first commandment. Did y'all hear what Jesus said? That's four areas right there that we need to learn quick and in a hurry how to love God. Because y'all hear the thing about it. If we ain't doing this, we are in disobedience. If we're not doing this, we're not following his instruction. We're not obeying the Bible. This Jesus said this. This wasn't none of the prophets. This wasn't Paul or Peter. This Jesus saying this. That this is the first commandment. And he's telling us basically what I told you in the beginning. It's not enough to just love God with your heart. There's not enough. That could be enough for me or any other human being. But if you're talking about loving God, you better make sure you're loving him in all four areas. Heart, soul, mind, and strength. Because God is deserving of it all. Ain't nobody else deserving of being loved in all four areas but God. God. Now we got to learn something. See, this commandment by our Lord and Son of Jesus Christ, it ties in with the first of the ten commandments as well. That's why the Bible, the Bible ties in with itself. Old Testament ties in with New Testament. New Testament ties in with Old Testament. It all agrees. To have no other gods before our God, that's in Exodus chapter 20. If you just want to go back and read that. To have no other gods before our God is to love him. See, you can't do you can't you can't put away your other gods unless you love God. Oh yeah, back then they had idols and and statues and all that kind of stuff. But we got our own type of gods today. Jobs, car house, TV, cell phones, clothes and shoes, partying and having a good time having fun. All of them is God of today, and many more like it. Where is the end of that love for God? For as Jesus said, I'm gonna agree with G. I'm gonna stay with G. This is the first and great commandment of all. And I'm finna check myself. I'm finna make sure I do inventory on me. Lord, am I loving you in all four areas? Which is the first commandment. It's to first love God. See, we started out from the gate trying to love everything and everybody. But our first, the first love we should ever have was for God. Let me let me break something down. Let me break something down here. Let me let me sidebar here a minute. Because this series, I ain't gonna get through that. Not these nine pages, eight, nine pages. Let me let me let me sidebar here a minute. And show us a relationship, two relationships from the beginning. From the beginning. Put your phones on mute. Let me show you two relationships. When God created man, man's first relationship or first love was with God. You can go back and read it all you want to. You see, Adam's first relationship was with God. His first love was God. Okay? Now you're gonna read what the Bible says that God made the woman for the man. But the man was not the woman's first love. While God was establishing a relationship with the woman, he had man sleep. Until he, even though he was creating the woman, her first relationship was with God. Keep reading the genius. You'll see what the Bible says. It was God who had the relationship with the first relationship with the woman. It was him that brought the woman to the man. Read the Bible. The point I'm here making is that our first relationship, our first love has been established from the beginning, that our first love should be with God. Now that might be too chunky for somebody to swallow, but I need you to chew this moment. And see, that has not changed. Our relationship even today should first be with God. Now, see, this is far out with good, because like I just said, if our relationship with God has been established and our love for Him has been established, it's gonna be very easy and more comfortable for us to show love towards others once we have established a love for God, which is the first commandment. You know why? Because when we love God first and we branch out to show love towards others, it's gonna be that love of God in us that we show towards others. That love He has put in us, we're gonna be able to share that type of love, that level of love with others, because what we are sharing with them is gonna be the love of God. Now, the love that someone's showing to others, that ain't the love of God y'all showing. That mean hateful love, see, we still call so, see, we we we confused. Because we convinced ourselves that what we are showing to others is the love of God and it's not the love of God. Because God's love is pure, God's love is holy, God's love is righteous, God's love don't treat nobody wrong, God's love don't talk with nobody wrong. God's love is not mean and hateful and grouchy, God's love is all that because it comes from above. If we get that in us, not only will we know how to love God with all our heart, we'll know how to love others. See, I know this gonna sound foreign to a lot of us listening this morning, because we may not have ever heard it like this before. God is to be loved by every part of us that is capable of us loving. This is God's command. And when God commands something, when he commands something, you're supposed to do. And if we are not keeping this commandment, this first commandment, which Jesus said is the first commandment, we are ignorantly in disobedience. We're in disobedience, and you know disobedience keeps us separated from God if you ain't doing what God said, until you repent, that's separate you from God. That's why things ain't happening for you. Don't realize because you're in disobedience. Life ain't going the way you want to go, you're in disobedience. Do you love God? According to the way the word says. See, this first commandment goes all the way back in biblical times. When the Lord was with the children of Israel, I read it a little for you. Go to the book of Deuteronomy. Book of Deuteronomy. Chapter 10. Let's let's get a little bit. This is a series. We we might as well get it all in. Deuteronomy chapter 10. Two verses. Now that whole 10 chapters, do it, but I just, for the sake of a series, and I might bring some more back. Part two, part three, or whatever the case may be. But Deuteronomy 10, these two verses this morning, 12 and 13. Deuteronomy 10, 12 and 13. This is the word of God. And now, Israel, this talking, you've got you gotta understand when it was written, he was talking to Israel, but it's talking to us today. So we have to put ourselves in the place of the name of Israel and put yourself there. And now, Israel, what does the Lord thy God require of thee? Okay, ask yourself, what does God require of you? You better say, I don't know. Well, stop being dumb because it's in the Bible. No, none of us know until we do research the word. We got to stop playing ignorant with the Lord. God requires some of us, and it is our responsibility to find out what that is. And now, Israel, what does the Lord thy God require of thee? Number one, but to fear the Lord thy God. That's fear, that reverential fear. Fear Him. When you're watching what you say, how you act, because you know God sees everything. But see, some of us got the point. We don't care what we say before God. We don't care how we act before God. Because we have lost our fear of God. How can you treat people the way you've been treating them if you feared God? If you had a reverence for God, you wouldn't do it. What does the Lord God, thy God, require thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, one, to walk in all his ways, two, and to love him, three, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Come on now. These are instructions that we got to not only follow, but we got to live by. Reverence. To walk, meaning to live according to his way. What his way is in the word. The way the way the way the word tells you to walk and live. To love him is what we talk about in this series then, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. To serve him. And service is just ain't at church. Service is just is a just getting on the conference line every Sunday. Service is how you go day to day throughout your day. Living for the Lord. And to serve the Lord thy God with all. See, you need to remember how did Jesus, I told you Old Testament and New Testament always tie and agree with one another. Didn't Jesus just say all thy heart? Now here Moses are saying the same thing, all thy heart. That word all is means all. Come on, y'all. Let's let's let's let's let the rubber meet down on the road. If we ain't giving God our all, he don't want none of it. If you ain't giving him your all, or even at least trying, striving to give him your all, he don't want none of it. Because God, I was reading, I was reading the other day, must have been yesterday. He said he'll jealous God. God is jealous God. He wanted all. What I'm talking about, I'm talking about all that's due Him. Because we haven't been doing that. How many people do you know? Matter of fact, then leave other people alone. Ask yourself and be honest. Have you ever loved God with all your heart and with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength? Have you ever? Have we ever, ever done that? Y'all I'm here to tell you. If we don't get to this place and get to this point in our spiritual lives, we are in disobedience and we're gonna miss out because ain't no amount of disobedience making it to the kingdom. Let me read again, Moses, Deuteronomy 10 and 12, and now Israel. What doeth the Lord thy God require? But to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him. Hallelujah. And to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Sound like to me, God wanted all. And see, also I know in my spirit he deserves it all. He got a right to ask for it all because he deserved it all. He got he the only one got a right to ask for everything in us. Because he made us and he created us. He's the one, he deserved it all. And we supposed to give it to him. Verse 13. To keep, it is. To keep the commandments of the Lord. This isn't about no 10, just the 10. It said the commandments. So I gotta break that up out of us. Because we say focus on 10, but I keep telling you is it's much minimal, many, minimal. To keep the commandments of the Lord. All this is what is required of us, y'all. To keep the commandments of the Lord and his statutes, which I command thee this day, here it is, Moses, for thy good. Listen at that. See, a lot of us we want to get tense up because God asked him for it all. But I'm here to tell you, just even though He's asking for it all, if we ever get to the point where we give him all, it's gonna be good. It's this, God is trying to do something to show us that this is gonna be good for us. Come on now. Come on now. If we can get to this point, do you not know the good that's gonna be in the bus? It's gonna be eternal life? Come on now. You know what grieves me deeply? When I can tell when people try to hold on to stuff in this world. Just like it ain't gonna never pass away. We're trying to hold on to stuff and put our love and everything else, which is not for our good, ain't gonna be for our good, but we're trying to hold on to it. When God and his word is trying to show us that if we would just do what is required of us by him, it's gonna be for our good. See, we get tears up when we hear that word, oh. I gotta give all that. I gotta give all, oh, oh, oh. Yeah, give it to him all. Because it's gonna be for your good. This for your good. Because it's required of us from our Lord God. We got to fear him, y'all. We got to walk in his way. He's holy. We got to love him. Don't that and then John says, We love him because he first loved us. Read our John. To serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart. To do right by God got to be in your heart, y'all. And so many of us don't have it in our heart to do what's right. It ain't in us. And right can't get in us until we get Jesus in us the right way. With all thy heart, with all thy soul. You got to have the Lord down in your soul. We're gonna deal with soul, but we're dealing with heart this first part of the series. We're gonna deal with the soul, we're gonna deal with the mind, we're gonna deal with the strength in this series, Lord said the thing. All these things require to keep his commandments, to keep the commandments of the Lord, his statutes, which I command thee this day, this day, this day, June 8th, 2025. We are coming into a knowledge of understanding. This day, and we now realize that we must love the Lord our God with everything in them, and we are now learning that it's for our good, that he's asking this of us, that he's asking us to do this, that he's asking us to live like this, it's for our good. It's for our good. And we got to be totally in the dark, totally blind to not see the truth of what God is trying to reveal to us as far as our connection to him. We got to love him in all four areas because this has been commanded of him. If we are true believers, our purpose in this life must be to seek and love God with our whole heart. And you know what, listen, okay, outside, let me sideboard a minute, whole heart. You know when you got more than one person in your heart. You know when you got more than one thing in your heart. Now, what God is telling us, whole heart, he wants to be the only thing that has a root or that is rooted in our heart is Him. Now you can express heartfelt things to others, but when it comes to what is rooted in your heart, when it comes to what is a foundation in your heart, God must be the one that has your whole heart. Because your whole heart is gonna express our In those heartfelt things towards others. And it's going to be that foundation in your heart, that love for him that's rooted in your heart is going to also guide you in how far to go in giving others heartfelt things. Because you ain't going to never let yourself love anything or anybody more than you love God. I don't care if it's your mama. If you got the love of God in your heart, that love for God not going to allow you to love mama more than you love me. I'm trying to book this morning. Jesus even told us that. He that loves his mother, father, sister, brother more than me, he can't be my disciple. Yeah, he wants you to love them, but he's saying you can't love them more. Can't love them more than God. Can't love them more than Jesus. They are the ones, the Godhead got to be the entity who has our whole heart. Who is rooted in our whole heart? Whose foundation encompasses our whole heart. It's got to be God's. God, our heart got to be God's. At the top of the list. To love the Lord as he should be loved. And to know him in his fullness, we as a people must seek him with passion and wholeheartedness and devotion. That's the only way God is going to see him. That's the only way he's gonna have. Somebody please put your phone on mute. I'm hearing this background noise. Please check your phones. Everybody check your phones. God seeks a fellowship with us as his people. But we as his people must commit ourselves to the first commandment. And love the Lord with everything about us, everything in us. See, this is why so many never, so many people never feel a connection with God. Because they don't love him according. They love him according. See, we gotta we gotta wear about us, human nature got a way, we got a way of going to do things how we want to do. And we tend to apply that philosophy, and those same techniques that we use on people in our natural lives, we try to apply them same techniques to God, and they don't work. It ain't gonna work on God. You just can't say haphazardly, I love the Lord, like we haphazardly say that to one another. That ain't gonna work with God. Because that's just a mouth and that's just a lip. God got to hear it coming out your heart. This is why so many of us never feel a true connection with God. Simply because we have failed to love him with our own. Never gonna feel a connection. Because here's the thing about God. God has a way of things. Unless those things are done according to his formula and his way, it ain't gonna work. Until it's done according to his will and word, that's the only time we're gonna see the connection and see the manifestation of the results of us doing it according to his will and his word. See, Moses called this the first and great commandment. And it is first. Understand another thing about God. He dwells in being first in everything. You ain't gonna never put God number two, number three. God's gonna always be first, or he ain't gonna be nothing at all. Now you can still say all you want to. You can say he's first all you want to with your mouth, but he did he say he was first in your life. Do he see that he's first in your life? See that because we blind stuff out with the mouth that make it so. No, it don't. Not in all cases. God is looking for doers. God is looking for livers, those who live it. Not just hearing and talking, but those that do and live it. That's why we ain't got no connection with God. Some of us ain't felt the connection with God alone, and we ain't felt the learning, and I don't know we have not felt that connection because our love for him has diminished from first place to whatever place you got him in. I don't know, but you know. You know he ain't first. This is the first and great commandment. Goes all the way back to the book of De Roman. And in this first and great commandment, we must commit ourselves in true, hear me, true obedience. See, but true obedience can only come about when our love for God is complete, loving him from the four areas of which we can give him our love with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength and might is the first commandment that is required of us as his people.
