Bearing Witness To The Truth Podcast
This podcast is made available in the hopes that those seeking to know the truth of God's word as he intended it to be taught and understood. I have submitted myself to the guidance and obedience to the Holy Ghost and his teachings of God's word to my spirit, that I may bring a level of knowledge, understanding and awareness to all that seek to know the Lord more abundantly through his word.

We thank God. Listen, our role as uh children of God, saints of God, people of the most high, comes with a lot of responsibilities while we are still here in this world and in this realm. But it's sad that a lot of what our role and responsibilities are when it comes to that once we have stepped over into righteousness, once we have stepped over to holiness, it's sad that still a lot of our responsibilities are not known to God's people. But there's an area tonight that I want to deal with in this Tuesday night conference on Bible study. And I'm I'm telling you, this is part one, because I'm not gonna get done with it. This is just part one. But I want to talk about there's an area that the Holy Ghost dealt with me and brought to my attention, this revelation about our role while on earth and what we should be doing while we are waiting and looking for his return, the Lord's return. We're not supposed to just be sitting idly by or comfortable in a comfort zone. We are supposed to be proclaiming to the world the Lord Jesus Christ. And in that gospel of knowing who He is, we are supposed to be proclaiming to this world that we must repent of our sins. In order for us to be forgiven or brought into that place of remission of sins. He said how John the Baptist was a forerunner, or how he came and set the stage for Jesus' first coming, how his job was as the forerunner of Christ to let the world know they need to repent. They need to get their hearts right so that they will be in a state of preparation to receive Christ when he got here. Because in order for us to receive what Christ has for us, we must be willing to repent of the sins we have done before God and before heaven. This is the message that John the Baptist took his the day he left and the day he was beheaded. And Herod had him beheaded. He preached repentance. A lot of people put emphasis on the fact that he was, he baptized people in water. Yes, he did do that. But his main objective and his main ministry was repent because the kingdom of God is at hand. Okay, flip it over. This is where the Holy Ghost comes to me at. Do we not know that we are also supposed to be forerunners for Christ's second coming and letting the world know that they need to repent? And you all know we in a generation where we know that this world got a lot of repenting to do. Whether they understand that, realize that, want to do that or not, we are in a state or a generation where we need to repent before Jesus gets back here. Now, here's come the responsibility that the Holy Ghost dealt with me on. We who are called, hallelujah, hallelujah, are calling to his purpose. Are we, have we, been fulfilling or acting in the role of the forerunners of today, and letting the world know right from wrong, they need to repent, not going alone with them because this is what everybody's doing, but let them know no that's wrong in the eyesight of God. And you need to repent before it's too late. So tonight, part one, our text and our subject will be the forerunners. Now, everybody can't be a forerunner, but those who have been called to be that, we need to get on our jobs. I'm not saying running people down and bugging people to death, but when an opportunity presents itself, when somebody comes to you, have compassion, but let them know some things in your life might be happening because of sin and because you may not have repented of that thing. And you doing that out of love because, like the Spirit of God, who don't want to see nobody perish, like the Spirit of Christ, who is willing to die for the sins of the whole world, we too should have such a compassion that we want to see people saved. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That we want to see people make it. And you can't do that by sugarcoating what you got to say to them sometimes. I'm not saying being mean, but out of love, baby, you need to repent. Because God has no respect of a person. God will not show any leniency when the wrath of that, I'm waiting for him to give me that message. The message of the wrath of God, when the wrath of God comes upon this world, there will be no hiding place. If we have not repented of our sins, the wrath of God is gonna come against all those, male or female, boy, girl, man or woman. But if we repent, and teach others to repent. See, there's a movement now in the church world, in the religious sex, that people are letting folks know, oh, God will forgive you. God will forgive you. Yes, he will. But you cannot preach forgiveness if you don't preach and teach and let the people know that you also need to repent and turn away from those sins so you won't go back and do them no more. You must repent. And this is one of the major roles and responsibilities and duties of those who are called to be forerunners of Christ. See, we ought to be eager to get folks ready to see Jesus. Just like John was, he wanted folks to get right before Jesus got him. Baptizing folks one day. They're Jesus showed up already. And he knew there was Jesus. Oh, I need to be, you don't want to need to be baptizing me. And we know from the word of God and from the life we have been living for Jesus, we know he's on his way back. And we ought to not just be satisfied, well, as long as I'm saved and my family's saved, and the folks call me saying what nobody that's not right, and that's not good enough. And that's not the Spirit of God. One reason a lot of us can't go to others and talk to them about repenting because we have not repented. But this got to change. This must change if we are to see the Lord. And it's high time that a lot of responsibility that's up on the shoulders of God's people, it's high time we get busy and be about our father's business. Now, this this responsibility of a forerunner, these duties of a forerunner, it's not gonna be easy because I got the book scripture waiting on me. We better not get to it now, but I'm gonna tell you how you're gonna be hated, you're gonna be persecuted, you're gonna be talked about. I'm also gonna show you the word of God. The book will tell you you got to endure. For Jesus' sake. Not about you, it ain't about us, it's about Jesus. And just like he took what he had to take for us, we also are gonna have to learn to take what we must take for him in his absence. As a generation of new forerunners, as John was for his first coming, we are the forerunners for his second coming. We are the ones that let the world know.
SPEAKER_00And we need to get on top of it. Understand what a forerunner is. It's a person or a messenger that goes and give notice of another person's coming, he sent ahead of time while teaching and telling the people about who it is that's coming.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonIn a type of preparing the way, if you would. Because regardless of what the world may say or do, it's somebody gonna want to receive Jesus. Just like in John, they it's a lot of people that repented and was waiting for Jesus to show up. And even though we in this worst, wickedest generation the world have ever seen today, there's still somebody wanna repent, and there's still somebody wanna see Jesus. And we need to be in place when our path crossed with theirs or their path cross with ours, to let them know there's still somebody on this earth still serving the Lord, still seeking the Lord, and standing on what that book says and not on what the world says. One of the greatest things, there's a story in the Bible about the old, the children of Israel. They had a problem. The reason they drifted so far from the Lord is because they failed to raise their sons and daughters on the word of God. They got that little lack feel easy, and you know someone do that. Don't be more tell our children about the Lord, don't sit down with them and tell them about the Lord or nothing. One of the greatest sins of the people of God in the Old Testament, and this sin is also true in our time today, in this generation, there is a failure, hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00We have failed, hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonThere is a failure in knowing that we, and one of our major duties as people of God to tell the world about Jesus.
SPEAKER_00We have failed.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonBecause we're not living for Jesus as we ought. But we need to rectify this failure by repenting. That's when we need to first get ourselves together. So that we can be in a place for God to use us to draw others. We need to get ourselves together first. We need to do some repentance. Because we have failed. Husband and wife don't talk about the law. Mom and dad don't talk about the law to the children.
SPEAKER_00You showed up don't say, mention Jesus on your job.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWe have failed to tell the world about Jesus. How are you gonna be a forerunner if you don't tell the world about Jesus? Jesus should be who we are promoting. We fail to tell them about Jesus, we fail to tell him the truth, his truth, not our truth. We fail to tell them about repentance and about his second coming. The people of old, as well as the people of this day, did not love people enough. See that that issue right there. See, to be a forerunner of Christ, you're gonna have to love people. Enough to not want to see them lost, enough to not want to see them go to hell. They didn't love the people enough. See, when you don't have enough love, you won't care about nobody but joining on. See, without love and trying to promote Christ, you can't be selfish promoting Christ.
SPEAKER_00You hear me?
Pastor Rickey D. DixonYou can't be selfish. You've got to have a love of God in you, no matter who you come across, no matter who your path crossed with, don't want to see them saved and not be lost. They did not love people, and the story in the Bible, they didn't love their own children enough. Because we wanna spall them, we won't let them do what they want to do. Oh, that's my grandbaby. But grandbabies going to hell. Sons and daughters going to hell because of the lack of those who should have told them, didn't tell them. And to me, that's not love. When you fail to tell who you say you love about the Lord, you really hate them because if you can't tell them about the Lord so that they soul can be saved, that's not love at all. If I love you, I'm gonna tell you this is what you need to know so you won't go to hell. I'm gonna tell you right or wrong, baby. You're my grandbaby, I love you, but you're wrong. And you need to repent and ask the Lord forgive. And you need to live according to the word. Well, all the other doing it, it don't matter. The book ain't gonna never change. They did not love the people enough, did not love their sons and daughters enough to teach them. And see, teaching ain't always with your mouth. Our greatest teaching is gonna be our actions, how we live before these people, how we carry ourselves before people. Our greatest teaching is not with our big mouths, it's with the life we live. Because if you say something with your big mouth and your actions show something else, you are contradicting your own self in the eyes of those who would listen to you, who would hear you if you live the way you taught. Jesus called them hypocrites. Say one thing, but they lived a whole nother way. They didn't love them enough to teach them, to tell them about the ways of God, about the word of God, and the coming of our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. Come on now, Jesus left him. That even the angels told him, What you gazing for? This same Jesus, the way you see him leave, that's how he's coming back. The angels told him that. The cloud took him away, and it's gonna be a cloud that brings him back. When you see the cloud, we have the truth, we have the word. Whether people want to believe it or not, we still must stand on it.
SPEAKER_00Because it is the truth.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonAnd if we have known the truth through living for the Lord, that truth that we have known should have made us free by now. In our spirit, in our mind, and our conscience, regardless of what we see the world portray, no matter what we see the world trying to influence, our steadfastness should be fixed in what we know the word of God to say.
SPEAKER_00And if we're gonna be a forerunner to this knowledge, we better start getting it right now and make it up in our minds. They sell the teacher to tell them about the ways and the word of God.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonDon't even say nothing to them about Jesus on his way back, don't even say nothing about that. As John the Baptist, his role as the forerunner for our Lord's first coming. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00We are now in this role as the forerunners of his second coming with the power of the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah. We must first start by teaching and speaking the gospel of repentance.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonSee, the world don't want to repent because the world don't want to stop doing what they're doing. But be that as it may, that still shouldn't deter us from saying you still got to repent whether you want to do it or not. You got to repent. And become godly sorry of the things you've done. Babe, I love you. You got to repent. Or you ain't gonna make it. We got to start right there. Repenting. We're not seeing we ain't supposed to be starting out teaching prosperity. You're gonna get a big house, you're gonna get a car, you're gonna get that job you always been wanting. Forget that. Tell the world you first need to repent and get yourself right with God. And whatever blessings come your way, let that be God's business. But our focus is to first get right with Him. Because all this other stuff ain't gonna matter, all this other stuff ain't gonna contribute to our salvation, and none of this stuff is gonna contribute to our leaving here, going back with him when he comes.
SPEAKER_00Repent. And we as forerunners of Christ, we have a tremendous responsibility on our shoulder.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonBecause if you ever read the book of Ezekiel, if we don't warn them, don't tell them. Don't he say that blood gonna be on our hands? Don't be required at our hands? And we have an opportunity to tell them, but didn't tell them? He said, Yeah, they're gonna die in their sin, but that blood, Hallelujah, gonna be required at your hand. Because you could have told them. Well, I don't want to bother nobody. You know, I don't I don't like to, you know, I don't like to mention nobody. But if the spirit of God has led you to somebody to say something to somebody, you should follow the leading of that spirit. I didn't say run up and everybody say, no, I believe in being led by the spirit. But see, if we if we live in by the spirit and being led by the spirit, you can trust whatever you feel the spirit leading you to do a thing as a follow-up of Christ to somebody to speak into their life, repentance of the glory of God, of the word of God, you should be obedient and following the leading of that spirit. Now, if the spirit ain't leading you, you leading yourself, now I will tell you, no, don't you do that. Don't be don't lead yourself. Or you be like themselves, Psalms received them, trying to do like Paul, and that demon like to like to kill them, like to beat them to death. Because they weren't led by God. But when God is leading you, and see, God will be in the heart and in the lives of all those who are called to before us. You don't have to worry about that. Because God leads your life. Our job has been, we've just been disobedient hard here when we know the Lord done told us to do that. We try to make excuses why we didn't. You know God, what God was telling you. You don't have to ask nobody. Anyway, let me go on. I want to finish. I want to get at least part one done tonight. We must first start by teaching and speaking the gospel of repentance. Telling folks what's right, telling folks what's wrong. I'm talking about in the eyes of God, right and wrong. Not in the eyes of the world right and wrong, but what God says is right and what God says is wrong. Why? Because we, Hallelujah, are now the forerunners for our Lord. And if we're gonna be forerunners of the Lord, it's got to be right. It's got to be perfected. Because this ain't no gift of anybody. Ain't just no representative Joe Glow. We representing the Lord. We're bringing the Lord to the people's attention. And it must be done. Not only right, but it must be done wholly. Our lives must be dedicated. Not one foot in and one foot out. Up today and down tomorrow, we must be totally dedicated daily and righteous, living in the sight of God, so that we may tell others before it's too late. And they will listen and hear us because they have seen how we live. See, John the Baptist lived a certain kind of lives, the people they honor him and they they accepted him as a man called by God because he lived what he taught. And he had a representation, reputation in the eyes of people. If we're gonna tell people right, we got to be living right. And once again, I'm saying what's right in the eyeside of God and what he says is right. Now, how are we gonna find out what's right in the eyeside of God? Get in that book. That Bible tells us everything we ought to do right in the eyes of God. And it's when we do those things God will be pleased with our lives.
SPEAKER_00Let's get some book, let's get some words.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonIn the book of John, the word of God says this there was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness. Come on now. It ain't listen to these words they're using. John was a witness. You and I, we got to be a witness of who Jesus is. The same came for a witness to bear witness. Come on now.
SPEAKER_00And that word bear witness means to let the world know that Jesus is real. To let the world know that he ain't no Ferritan. Bear witness of what the Bible says.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonSee, we we have not seen Jesus with our physical eyes. But with our spiritual eyes, through the word, we have seen him. Because the word, the gospel, speaks of him. And it's by faith we believe what that word said, that Jesus is and who he is. And by that, spiritually, we are a witness of him, because we believe what that book says he is. And by that we can tell the world that we too are a witness. By faith, we are a witness. Because we stand on what the word said, because the word is the word of God. And God and his word is one. And God cannot lie. So that book said it's so. Now go out and be a witness to it. Live like you believe. Carry yourself like you believe. So that when you tell others, they will believe also. Yeah, well, see, we as colored folks, I know we do a lot of eating. We know good eating when we eat. Get a hold of something real good, you go to tell somebody, oh girl, this is so good. You can't, and you say it so make it sound so good. You ain't tasted yet, but the way they saying it makes it sound so good. You don't want to give me some of that, girl. You that sounds like that's good. I ain't tasted nothing yet, but but by the words that that person said, it makes you want some too. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And if Jesus is good to you, you want the world to know that he's good. And we need to be out there proclaiming it, proud to be saying it. That it will cause others and compel others to want Jesus in their lives, just like he in your life. What did the book say? Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. Tell the world, he's good. Ain't he good to you? Look at all this good stuff he done did for you. And you ain't got nothing you can tell the world about the Lord and his goodness that will make folks want to change their lives and come out of sin and repent and be shame of some of the stuff they did that they changed their very lives. Oh, I know it works. You ain't got to believe what I know. That's why I know the book. Oh Mary. Oh Mary Magdalene. I like talking about Mary. Not because of what she does. Not a sense of life, but how her lies changed. Jesus showed her love, compassion one day. And we know what kind of woman she was. I ain't got to go into her. That's the old Mary. That ain't how she is now. But because what she experienced in Jesus was so good to her, to her spirit, to her life. See, some of us, our lives, have never tasted nothing good. See, that's a taste beyond the mouth. I might let me talk to y'all a minute. There is a taste beyond your mouth, what it can taste. There is a taste that your spirit whoo. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. There's a taste you'll get down in your soul. See, that's what David was talking about. Oh, taste and see. That was nothing to do with your mouth. That the Lord is good. Because when you taste of the Lord, it's your spirit that connects with God. Your spirit that tastes his goodness. Your spirit that taste, hallelujah.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWhen that woman uh touched Jesus in the crowd, he said, somebody touch me. But they think it is by touching with the hand had nothing to do with her touching the hills gone with her hand. Jesus felt another touch. There's a touch beyond the touch of a hand. There's a spiritual touch. There's a spiritual taste. He said, I could I receive the virtue go out of me. And it wasn't because she touched my hair, my gardener. She touched me by faith. She touched me because she believed in me. I felt it. And we we go out as forerunners to the hallelujah. To the world, proclaiming Jesus. Something in us ought to be able to reach and touch something that's makes them at least think about, consider some of the things they're doing in their life. Not to condemn them, but to make them want to change and repent.
SPEAKER_00Because the kingdom of God is at hand. And Jesus is on his way back.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonThere was a man sent by God, whose name was John. See, in our generation, let me hear something about it. John ain't the only one God has sent to be a forerunner. He was the only one sent to be the forerunner of Jesus' first coming. But because now that Jesus has died on the cross and his blood has been poured out and shed upon many, now many of us can be forerunners for his second coming. Because now many of us have been saved by God, which now equips us to be sent by God, to be forerunners for his only begotten son and his second coming. But see, a lot of us don't want to put ourselves in that place where we can relate to. So when they left there, they can go back to their own nation, proclaiming what they had saw and what they had heard about the goodness of God being spoken in their own tongue. When the Holy Ghost came upon them that was in an upper room. So have not the Holy Ghost fell upon God's people today for us to proclaim all these nations and races and people around us today need to be hearing about the goodness of God as forerunners, as witnesses, to bear witness of Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00Why, Pastor Nixon?
Pastor Rickey D. DixonJust like the word of God said when it came to John the Baptist, that all men through him might believe. Our ultimate goal is why we are forerunners of God is that we will tell somebody about the goodness of God, and the result of that, somebody will believe.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWe want somebody to believe in Jesus just like we believe in Jesus. That's the ultimate result that somebody will connect to the belief that's in you and I, and they too will become believers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_00God sent it. And God is sending you and I to be a witness. You got to be a witness.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonThat all means people that cross your path, people that you come to know.
SPEAKER_00People in your own household. And he had to tell the people, John had to tell the people, you're not living up now. I'm not I'm not him.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWell, I was sent to bear witness of him. No, I'm not Jesus. But I'm bear I'm bearing witness of Jesus. He said, I'm not the light, I'm not that light, but I'm bearing witness of that light. I'm bearing witness of Jesus I'm here to bear witness to Jesus. Not myself, not what I want, not my will, but to bear witness of him and his will for mankind.
SPEAKER_00The disciple John, he wrote this.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonHe said, He wrote this, but Jesus the one he spoke and he Jesus said this and John wrote it. One day when Jesus was talking, Jesus said this. He said, But when the comforter is come, that's the Holy Ghost, whom I will send unto you from the Father. Even the Spirit of Truth. I love that name of the Holy Ghost, Spirit of Truth. That's where I got that from. Holy city, spirit of truth ministries.
SPEAKER_00Because the Holy Ghost is the spirit of truth.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWhen the comforter is coming, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify me. This is what he said now. You get the Holy Ghost in you. The Holy Ghost is going to do never talk nothing but by Jesus. That's all he's going to do. He's just going to be a witness and ain't going to testify nothing but Jesus down inside you. Jesus goes on to tell them. And ye also shall bear witness. See, just like the Holy Ghost bear witness on me, just like John the Baptist bear witness on me, you also gonna bear witness. And let me let me sideboy him in. I don't mean no harm, but I'm getting the truth. I'm I deal with the truth. That's all I deal with. In order for us to bear witness to Christ, who is holy, who is the only begotten Son of God, we too must be holy and filled with the Holy Ghost.
SPEAKER_00Now don't get me wrong. Yeah, even a sinner can say the name Jesus.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonA sinner can tell you about Jesus. But in order to bear witness, we must also be filled with the witness. And the Holy Ghost is the witness of who Jesus is.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. We can do our best forerunner work.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonWe can do our best witnessing and bearing witness when we ourselves have the witness down on the inside of us. Full of it. That's always my prayer. But I'm praying, God, I want to be full of the Holy. Give me some more Holy Ghost. Because, see, the Holy Ghost, being the Spirit of God, there are times it catches me off guard. The Holy Ghost will just talk. When he's in you, he's gonna talk. And I love to listen to him. And so many things he tell me a lot of times I don't share with him, but I just I chew on him for a while. Let me let me just sideboard him, man, because I know it's gonna be a part two. So let me I'm gonna let me share this with you because I want somebody's faith to be increased. And I want somebody to I want other people to learn how to yield themselves to that still small voice when the Holy Ghost is teaching and talking to you.
SPEAKER_00I was just the other day, two days ago, I forgot what I was thinking about exactly. But evidently the Holy Ghost heard you. And this is what I remember the Holy Ghost saying.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonYou know how we as human beings sometimes we sit up and think like, well, you know, one day we all got to die. We all got to leave him. And I don't know why I was thinking it like that. Something I was thinking of something. I can't say exactly what I what what I had those thoughts, but anyway, the Holy Ghost said this to me. And y'all can believe it, I believe. I believe because he said it to me.
SPEAKER_00He says, We from here, we don't think about death. He said, We from the we from see if people he say we up in heaven, we don't think about death.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonThat's not something that exists of him. We never have those thoughts.
SPEAKER_00I'm listening, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonBut he goes on to say, and then we are in you even though we are on the earth, we shouldn't have those soft either because. Because they in heaven consider us already to be a part of up there. He said, We don't think like that. We don't think like that up here. And you shouldn't think like that down there if you're a part of who he is.
SPEAKER_00I sat back and I thought about that thing.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonSome thoughts, now that we have come into the understanding of Christ and God and His Word, the truth, there are certain thoughts that even should not even be part of our psyche or our mentality now, now that we are born again of Him. And the Holy Ghost, well, I always know the Holy Ghost, he's always gonna tell the word.
SPEAKER_00And if any man believeth in me, he shall never die. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonIf I tell y'all, the Holy Ghost will speak to your spirit. That's why I got to stress. There are things we need to know that we ain't gonna hear from nothing in this world. A lot of what we are gonna need to hear and gonna happen here. It's gonna come from heaven. It's gonna come from the very spirit of God through the Holy Ghost. That's why you got to have it. Because there are times when your spirit needs to be uplifted, when your spirit needs to be encouraged, when your spirit needs to be comforted, when you need to have the strength to just endure, it's not gonna come from this earth, but you can hear it from heaven, and you can hear it when that witness, who is the Holy Ghost, speaks to you from within yourself because he abides in you. Hallelujah. Holy Ghost told me that. And since that day I have accepted it, I believe it. And I don't let my mind wander off somewhere left field on thoughts that they don't even have in heaven. They don't have in heaven. I don't mean and I'm considering myself to be part of that. I shouldn't be thinking, even though I'm still on the earth right now, but I have portions in heaven with the Lord. What the book say that when I am, that you may be also. See, we don't just, we not, the Lord not waiting for us to get to heaven before we take on the mindset of heaven. We ought to let our minds be transformed. Why do you think the book to be transformed by the renewing of your mind? How we've been thinking that sinners, how we've been thinking that carnal, don't play in heaven. And we ought to have that type of mind now while we're still on the earth before we leave here and go to heaven. So when we get there, our mind is already right. For the place that we're going to.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I thought I said it with you.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonI hope maybe somebody can chew on it. I hope it wasn't too strong for somebody. But the Holy Ghost will talk to you. And he'll reveal things to you you ain't never heard before.
SPEAKER_00Hallelujah.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonAnd ye also shall bear witness. See, when the Holy Ghost gets in you, you can bear witness to Jesus the right way. Without worrying about if you say something wrong. Did I say that right? Uh uh. The Holy Ghost will always give it to you right. When it comes to Jesus.
SPEAKER_00You can trust that. Which means you can bear witness to that. Oh, next time. Part two of the Forerunners. I want to get into how we are going to be hated. But you gotta stand your ground.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonI wanna get into how the word of God is gonna tell us that people are not gonna want to hear sound doctrine. They're not gonna wanna hear the truth. It's gonna say, it's gonna really tell you they're gonna turn their ears away from the truth. But you still gonna have to tell it. You still gonna have to be a forerunner. Yeah, a lot of people repented and heard John, but a lot of people didn't either. And a lot of people are gonna hear and receive what you have to say, but a lot of people are not. But that section of those that are not wrong to hear, you cannot let that discourage you. You cannot let that cause you to let your guard down from being a witness. You got to keep calling on, you got to keep carrying on for his name's sake.
SPEAKER_00Because as a forerunner, you don't get to choose how you do and what you do.
Pastor Rickey D. DixonYour life is dedicated to proclaiming him to the world, and proclaiming him to the world is what you will do. Come rain of shine, sleet of snow, flood of high water, you're gonna proclaim it. When everybody in your house is mad at you. When people on your job don't want to talk to you, you're not gonna let that deter you. If anything, you're gonna be encouraged by the Holy Ghost because your focus is on I'm doing this for my Lord, I'm doing this for his second coming, so that somebody be ready to go back with him when he comes, somebody be ready to receive him, and I yield myself as a vessel, I yield myself as an instrument for the Lord to use to reach somebody else. I don't care if it's a hobo, I don't care if it's a street walker, I don't care if it's a homemonger, I don't care if it's a harlot. Some of them are gonna make it in before some of us. That's what my book says. My Bible says that. So we cannot be selective and pickers and chooses of respectable persons when it comes to other people's souls. You for running for Christ, and he is the one that died for everybody, not you and not I. And if he said his blood can cover anybody, if he said anybody can be saved and don't nobody have to perish, we are to just let him use us for whoever he wished to save, whoever he wished to call, and rejoice with them.
SPEAKER_00On next time, the Forerunners, part two.
