The Faith of the Father(s) w/ Karl Gessler
The Faith of the Father (s) is a podcast devoted to proclaiming and demonstrating the reality of Jesus Christ—risen from the dead and actively at work today, healing the sick and casting out demons just as He did in the Scriptures.
Rooted in the careful study of the Bible and the witness of the Church throughout history, this podcast seeks to learn from the faith of the fathers—from the earliest believers to faithful witnesses in the present day. We hold that the ministry of Jesus did not end in the Gospels, but continues through men and women indwelt by the Holy Spirit and obedient to His voice.
Hosted by Karl Gessler, The Faith of the Fathers features candid conversations with those who have walked out of deep trauma, abuse, and bondage and have found real healing in Jesus. It also includes interviews with believers who have witnessed and participated in profound works of God—miracles of healing, deliverance, salvation, and even the raising of the dead—through courageous and faithful obedience to Christ.
At its core, this podcast affirms a simple conviction: God intends to govern the world through human beings filled with His Spirit, living in truth, authority, and love. By returning to Scripture and the lived faith of the Church, The Faith of the Fathers invites listeners to know Jesus not as a distant figure of the past, but as the living Lord who continues His work today.

From the “Great Satan” to Amazing Grace | An Iranian Woman’s Journey from Islam to Jesus
Naghmeh grew up in an Iran that no longer exists.
Her early childhood unfolded in a relatively open, Western-influenced nation—until war erupted, followed by a violent Islamic revolution that reshaped everything overnight. What was once familiar became dangerous. What was once hopeful became oppressive.
Her father initially believed that Islam’s growing influence would strengthen Iran. When the reality set in, he knew he was wrong—and made the difficult decision to flee. Soon, the family found themselves seeking refuge in the very country Naghmeh had been taught to fear: the United States of America, “the Great Satan.”
But the upheaval didn’t stop there.
As Naghmeh tried to make sense of her new world, her brother came home carrying a secret—news so explosive it fractured the family and deeply strained her relationship with her parents. It was a change that was sweeping across America at the time… and is now sweeping across Iran.
A change that brings hope instead of fear.
Truth instead of propaganda.
Life instead of control.
What began as division ultimately became transformation—one that would eventually touch her entire family and lead Naghmeh back to the very land she once fled, carrying a message radically different from the one she was raised with.
This episode is a story of revolution, exile, faith, and redemption—and a reminder that God is moving powerfully in places many believe are unreachable.
