In this episode of Inspirations from the Universe, Lisa Pryce-Jones explores the powerful idea that we all carry our own unique story. Each of us views life through the lens of our experiences, beliefs, and values — and no two perspectives are ever exactly the same.

Lisa reflects on what happens when relationships become strained, when we hold tightly to being “right,” and when we expect others to respond in ways that align with our own lived experience. She invites you to consider how frustration, resentment, and misunderstanding can arise when perspectives clash — and how connection can be rebuilt when we soften, breathe, and see from another viewpoint.

You’ll be guided to:

✨ Pause and ground yourself in the present moment
✨ Notice how your body feels and let nature support you
✨ Reflect on your relationships — the positive and the challenging
✨ Explore how stepping back, finding balance, and seeking perspective can transform outcomes
✨ Consider whether flexibility might serve you better than rigidity in life’s challenges

This gentle, thought-provoking episode encourages self-reflection, personal responsibility, and emotional clarity. Ask yourself: What choice will you make today?

Tune in and reconnect with your inner wisdom.

Speaker:

Hello and welcome to Inspirations from the Universe by Lisa Pryce -Jones. Today's podcast is called Stories. We all have our own story, the story of our life seen through our eyes. However, everybody has their own stories. Everybody has their own perspective. Everyone has their own beliefs. And everyone has their own values. But no two people will ever see things the same, because you bring with you your experience, your lived experiences, beliefs that you have created yourself, and also those that have been created by those around you. It is often only when things go wrong, with relationships, when things break down, that we start to look at differences. Very often we'll fight and say t "I am right", and you will want to be heard. You will want the other person to respond in the manner that you expect them to, based on your experience. But very often this does not happen, and this then causes frustration, and the frustration can lead in due course to resentment, anger, and contribute towards the relationship breaking down even. We all have the ability to see things from more than one perspective, should we choose to do so. And when we make that effort to see things from a slightly different perspective, that can sometimes give us greater balance. And with a balanced viewpoint that enables us then to see further beyond, as far as the horizon, if you like.

Speaker:

Only you know what is right for you. Only you know what is tolerable and within your limits. When somebody else does not conform, there are choices to be made. Sometimes those choices are clear. Sometimes they are a little blurred, you could say. And at other times it may be very difficult to make sense of the situation. In such situations it is necessary to ground oneself to the present moment, to focus on how your body feels. If you are outdoors, allow the sunshine to wash upon you. Perhaps feel the breeze against your face, blowing away anything that you need to release, placing your feet on the grass, just allowing nature to ground your energy naturally. So what is it today that you can reflect upon? Think of the relationships that you have, positive and the not so positive too. And ask yourself, what can you do to improve things? Can you take a step back before reacting? Or take a breath and refocus, looking for balance and perspective, keeping your calm, allowing yourself to be present in the moment, looking for those solutions that may achieve the best outcome for your highest good. We need to be flexible. Life could be described as a roly poly. You can choose to be flexible and roll from one obstacle to another, or you can choose rigidity, which can lead you to hurting yourself. So naturally, which would you prefer? What is your choice today? Bye for now.
