Hello and welcome to Inspiration from the Universe by Lisa Pryce -Jones. Today's episode is called Happiness. Happiness is a misnomer. Many people aspire towards achieving happiness. However, what is happiness really? We think of it as being somebody that is filled with a content feeling twenty four seven, that everything goes their way, and that everything is easy for them. However that is not necessarily true. Some people do indeed feel very content, and some people at certain points in their life do appear to have things much easier than others, I agree. However, happiness is a perspective. We can be extremely happy and have very little materialistically. And you only have to look across the world to see the varying degrees of happiness in people when they seem to have very little materially. But inwardly they have everything they need at that moment. They have the sunshine, they have food in their belly, they are not hungry, and they have people around them. They are connected to other people around them, and they sense it, they know it. So, despite challenging conditions, they have a joint sense of purpose and knowing their being is at this time. Yet so many people who have material things can quite often think that they are not happy. The heart is not being focused on. Gratitude is not being considered, let alone being shared with others. But this could be considered as more of a habit, because habits are formed in behaviours around you, and behaviours within you too, and all behaviours can change. So, in order to achieve happiness, you must firstly go inward, focusing on what you are grateful for. Every glass of water, every meal, every conversation. Your job may not be the perfect job for you at this moment in time, but it's a job that's paying your bills, and it might be somebody else's dream job once you move on. So, focusing your attention on your heart centre. Being grateful for everything that you have in your life is a great starting point. And once you regularly apply this, you will notice those feelings, initially of contentment, moving toward happiness at that point in time will start to envelop you. And then you're able to focus more so on gaining clarity as to what you need and want moving forward. Working on relationships too. Being calm in your heart centre enables you to be more rational. And when we're rational, we're not reacting. That fight or flight is not kicking off so often, and we're able to influence those people around us in a more calm manner. And when we're in a calm manner, we are not losing control. And when we are not losing control, we feel that sense of pride within us that we are able to achieve our goals without losing our minds effectively, without getting angry, frustrated, and upset in the process. So perhaps today you can consider your own life and well-being. And consider just how grateful you are each and every day for the simple things that you have. Perhaps consider how you can improve your communication with others around you, whether personal or professional, by maintaining your calmness, by focusing on your heart centre, by going into your body, just noticing and sensing rather than reacting. Each and every day you can make a difference. Each and every day you can fill your heart with gratitude. You can fill your mind with more calmness. You can obtain more clarity moving forward. And this all leads ultimately to achieving greater happiness, allowing your thoughts to settle, just letting them drift away whenever they're unhelpful. Drifting on by just like leaves on a stream. Letting them float away unless they're useful. Then you can pay attention to them. Bye for now.
