Speaker:

Hello, and welcome to Inspiration from the Universe by Lisa Pryce-Jones. Today's episode is called Reflections. We all see reflections, reflections of ourselves, reflections of nature around us, reflections of words. And it is in reflections that lessons are learned. With everything that we do, reflection is needed, reflection of good things that have happened, and also things that have not gone so well. We can indeed just focus on the positive things. But if true learning is to take place and for improvements to occur, we need to reflect on things that have not gone quite so well too. Reflections can be considered to be just like the surface of a lake. The lake may appear to be very smooth on the surface, but underneath it contains a variety of potential hazards as well as positive things like the fish. And we have to know what's underneath, not just looking at the smooth surface. This can be applied to everything that goes on in our life and in our world too. For if we choose to just gloss over, we are not understanding what is truly happening. We need to go below the surface. We need to embrace the knowledge, that learning opportunity, and we need to listen to what needs to be done moving forward. Whether at home or at work professionally, we all need to continually reflect and improve in order that, in due course, we can achieve the smoothness and the calmness that we want in our lives. And even then, when we achieve that smoothness and calmness in our lives, we need to keep it going. We want it to continue into perpetuity. So for a moment, just reflect now on how you reflect currently. In what areas of your life would you benefit from reflecting more? Set yourself a goal to reflect often, to learn from your reflections, and most importantly, to put your actions into practice moving forward. Bye for now.
