You have the science. You have the tools. Now it's time to take the next step.
This is PepTalk: Peptides Unpacked—science made simple, results made real.
The peptide space isn't just growing, it's exploding. The global market is projected to top 130 billion with a B as an boy by 2030. Let me say that one more time.$130 billion within the next five years before 2030. And practitioners and wellness entrepreneurs are finding their place inside it, just as I have.
SPEAKER_01:One of them is also Carly Sine, a woman who didn't just transform her own health with GLP1 peptides, but built an entire business helping others do the same. From client education to community building, she's proof that your personal breakthrough can become your professional calling.
SPEAKER_02:Carly has blended passion with purpose, creating a model that supports health, impact, and income in a space that's still so new most people don't even know where to start.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, so today we're going to get behind the scenes of how she did it, what worked, what she would do differently, and how she's helping others grow alongside her. Welcome to Pep Talk, Peptides Unpacked.
SPEAKER_02:Let's dive in. Business and marketing and sales are my jam. So here we go, Carly. Walk us back into not just the way you've done your you've started to consume the peptides and only like you have your own personal journey, which we've started on a previous episode, but you saw the results it was doing to you. You've seen the results that it's been doing to others. And now you thought, wait a second, what if I can change my financial life too?
SPEAKER_00:Yes, seriously, it is really crazy to look back at how all of this started for me. Um, I did have my own personal journey where I lost a lot of weight. I lost 55 pounds. And that was very noticeable to a lot of people. And I wasn't talking about it very vocally online. Like I just had my personal Instagram and I was just posting me and my family. And I posted a picture and I had probably like three or four people reach out and they were like, You have lost so much weight. What are you doing? And I was telling them that I was on this peptide, and then a lot of them had said, you know, these few people I were talking to, they were like, Oh, I've heard of those. And I, when I first started, was really embarrassed. I didn't want anyone to know. The only person that I had told was my husband. And then I eventually um told my mom. And those were the only two people who really knew. And I don't know why. I don't know why I was feeling so embarrassed. It's the silly thing in the peptide world where we are like, I don't want people to know that I'm getting help. Where even if you're using peptides or not, you're getting help no matter what, regardless of how you're losing weight, right? So I got to this point where I had lost about 50 pounds at this point. And I just I remember waking up that day and being like, I feel like I should tell someone. Like, I feel like I should like announce this. Like, I lost 50 pounds. That's huge. Like I need to save it.
SPEAKER_02:Let's celebrate it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, let's celebrate it. So I got on my Instagram, it was just my personal Instagram, and I posted a story, and I just said, I have something I want to tell everyone. You've probably noticed I've lost weight. And it was just a story. It was just a story to my my followers. And I put a question box and said, Let me know if you have any questions. I completely forgot that I had posted this story. I come back to it like hours later. And when I tell you, I had an insane amount of messages. I'd never had that many messages on Instagram and comments and responses, and people who were like, I need to know where you got it from. I've been thinking about doing this, I've wanted to do this. Tell me all your side effects. Like the questions just I got I was so overwhelmed by it. And I was like, wow, this is huge. And at the time, I was actually starting to get into affiliate marketing online in general. Like I was starting to do other things online to make money and learning. I was just still in like the learning phase, but I knew that I had heard that there were some companies that were giving a commission for anyone who would sign up as uh to get a GLP1 prescription. So before I said anything to anyone, I hurry and ran and found this uh little local, it's not even local to me, it's local to Arizona, Arizona, but I knew some friends that had used it. I reached out to this um telehealth company and they were like, yeah, we'll give you a commission. And they said, we'll give you$100 per sign-up. And I was like, wow, that's like insane. Like, okay, I'll do that. And at the time I was doing hair part-time. And so I ended up posting and like talking to them, and I got an affiliate link, and I was it it happened in my first week. I had made, can I say numbers of roughly about what I had made? It's not even a company you're working with anymore. So you can I'm not working with them anymore. So at the time I had made around$1,400 in one week because I had 14 people sign up. And I remember I looked at my husband and I was like, I don't know what just happened, but I just made$1,400. Like it was, it was insane. And so I knew that something had just like unlocked in my life and I started just talking about it and sharing. And it was so exciting to help people from my experience to tell them what worked for me because so many people were feeling like lost in their journey. I started making little guides and stuff to talk about it. Well, along the way, I had probably been with this company for a couple months, and I had been contacted by the current company I'm with, the telehealth company I'm with. Um, and it was a girl who was like, hey, you could probably be making a little bit more money. And in my head, I was like, I don't think so. Like I I had already crossed the um five figures a month, and I was really excited about that. It was like a huge deal for me and in our my family, and so I was like, I just don't think that I could make any more money. But she came to me and she said, you will get a commission, just like the company you're at now, but you're gonna get a commission every single month someone stays on their prescription. And at this point, I had signed up probably over thousands of people, and I was like almost got a stomachache. I was like, oh my gosh, I could be getting a commission every month, someone's on their prescription, even with it being a little bit smaller commission, not even that much. It's like$10 less of a commission. Or 10, yeah,$10 to$20 less. Depending on it. And I and I realized I was like, wow, like long term, long term wise, like this is passive income because I'm planning on never coming off of these. I want to be on it forever. And that took me a long time to be confident in even saying that. But I I wanted, I wanted to be on it. You want to feel as good as you feel right now forever. Yes, and I wanted to be on it long term. So I knew that like other people were gonna feel the same way. So I saw this as an opportunity. I switched companies, and it has completely changed my life. I ended up quadrupling my husband's income in probably five months. And um, it has, it's my life has never been the same since.
SPEAKER_02:Now you quadrupled your husband's income, and now he has changed because he's at home with the littles and you're doing your thing, but you have more than enough.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, oh yeah, wait more than enough. Like we are we're in a position now where we're able to like do the I remember hearing people talking about like savings and all of the even investments. Like I used to just think I don't even know how people aren't living paycheck to paycheck because that was all we had experienced our whole marriage. And we now are at this point where we're like, wow, we have extra, we had can now, you know, invest and do those things that we want to do. And it's been it's been amazing. It's actually been a whole new learning curve, like learning how to manage money because we had never done it that way, you know.
SPEAKER_01:You know that you just said that and my stomach just did a whoop, it just flipped right over because I thought, I again, I'm I'm older than you guys, right? So I am looking at like what does life look like in retirement years? And did we invest enough? The answer is no, probably not. And so when you say that, I'm thinking my life and my future retirement life with my husband is going to change based on what we're building here. Oh, absolutely, 100%. And it's so exciting, it's so exciting.
SPEAKER_02:I realized over this past weekend, like this is gonna bring me to tears because I had created a seven-figure business for myself, and I had a couple team members on doing it with me, but I looked like I was so happy on the outside, and I was miserable on the inside. And this year in 2025, I've just said, nope, I'm done, and I'm gonna create something that I want to create. And I went to the Ogden ski squap because I know Carly's in Utah. I bought myself a pair of skis and I said, I'm gonna go skiing this year. So, God, please send some good snow to Utah because this girl finally has time to go skiing. And my dad has a slow uh season pass to Snow Basin. And so I said, Dad, like can I be your buddy once or twice this summer or this winter, not this summer, this winter, and then we take my little eight-year-old and we're gonna go a couple of times. Like, I have time freedom, something that has never been part of my life, and I'm 36. I was always like, go to school, get all the grades, do all the sports, like do everything. I haven't had a winter off in 36 years. And I'm like, I'm gonna have some fun knowing that I've done everything I could possibly do leading up until this winter to make it so I can create new forms of income. And really, that's all it's about. It's just creating new forms of income while talking about things we love and helping thousands of people at the same time.
SPEAKER_01:I think what you just hit on something really interesting because all three of us have this. Um, we've created our our other side of our life. So Carly is a, I don't know if you're still doing hairdressing work or not, but you did. Um, me, I'm a massage therapist and a nutritionist. And and Kylie, you just touched on it. When we don't work in our professions, we don't make money. We don't have a job that has three weeks of vacation a year and sick time. So when we're not in the office working, that's it. There's no backup, there's nothing happening. So to be in a position now where I am building a business that doesn't require me not only to not be nine to five hustle, hustle, hustle, but also is going to be giving me residual income without me having to fight for it. I can take vacation without panicking. Like, okay, I wasn't in the office this week. Where am I going to make up that income that our family needs?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. Yeah. You're done training your time for money. You're not training your time for money anymore. You're not like I don't rely on me going and doing hair and standing for three hours to make a few hundred dollars. Like, I don't, I don't have to do that anymore. And I think the day I stopped doing hair was like one of the best days of my life. I was so excited to tell people that I wasn't doing hair anymore because I just didn't, I didn't, I loved the I missed the social side of it, but that's really all I had that to miss because it was it's a lot. It's work and it hurts. My body would hurt.
SPEAKER_01:Um I 34 years doing what I do, and I and Kylie knows this. I am definitely in that transition. I am ready to leave. I will miss that one-on-one conversational part of my practice. I'm ready.
SPEAKER_02:I'm ready to and I think one of the aspects we can talk about here is we don't have to jump ship completely. Right. Like there's a lot of practitioners who are listening to this who are like, you know what? In three years, I want to sell my brick and mortar. In five years, I want to do this. Or I talked to one of them this past month where she's like, I am getting just I'm just burnt out from working with one-to-one. Because again, if I'm not in the office, I'm not making money. And I have to have money to pay my bills, whether we want to, like, whatever our relationship is with money, it's in fact, let me just give you this tidbit because the more money you make, the more you just get to be you. So if you are a terrible person, you're going to be a terrible person whether you make$100,000 or a million dollars. You just get to be more of a terrible person at a million dollars. If you are a good person and you love to do good things, well, the more money you have, the more good things you get to do. So true. So it's not a matter of money is bad, it's a matter of money expands who you really are. Yes, so true. And in this health and wellness space, we are helpers. We got in it because we want to help change lives. Imagine how much more, how many more lives you can change if you were able to start a nonprofit, if you were able to, you know, buy someone's Christmas every year and really blow that family's minds out of the water. Like I would love one day to be Secret Santa. And there's a there's a uh radio station in in southern Idaho and they go viral about every Christmas because somebody, nobody knows who, and it's been going on for years, donates a million dollars to the radio station and says, I want you guys to ditty this out with who needs it. So then they take on this like applications and they're like, they show up at random people's houses with a car full of diapers. Oh and then another thousand dollars to go get the car registered. And then because it's a million dollars donated, they can do it to you know 500 people. And like that to me, that's what I want to do.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:When I have more than enough. So, Carla, you're sitting in these shoes of more than enough. Um what's been your motivating drive?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, my family. My family for sure, my kids and my husband. I think that um when my husband was making a decent amount at his previous job, we've we would always talk about how like we would argue less and like our life just felt a little bit lighter and it just kind of wasn't as heavy. Like we weren't constantly worried about the next paycheck. Like it's just so wild how just knowing that not enough money is gonna be there, you know, like it's kind of hard. It changed.
SPEAKER_02:I've experienced both sides of it. So I've had in my business years where it's like we've got plenty. I remember going into Halle or Chloe's Chloe's labor and delivery. I had just had my biggest launch. And it was like going into labor and delivery the next day. I was I was careless, I was carefree. And so was Andrew. And now we've been on this side of it this year where things have flipped so drastically, but we learned how to manage money much better because of it. So you are a different person when you are stressed about money.
SPEAKER_00:100%. And I think that's one of the that was one of the biggest shifts early on was that like as we were getting this income, it was like our life felt a little bit lighter. We weren't constantly in a state of stress about money. And um, but then it was confusing because we didn't know how to manage it very well because we had never had money like that. So we were just like, let's like go on a vacation and let's like go do this. Like it just became kind of like a spending spree for just a minute, and then and sometimes even still, like sometimes I'll I think it needs to be. Yeah, sometimes I'll get a big check and I'm like, let's go do something fun, you know. Like it's it's great, but um recall those experiences, you're making cash withdrawals into experiences in life, yes, totally. And there it that's definitely needed, but it did shift into you know, I was making enough that I was like, wow, like we want to build a house, like let's build a house. And then we're doing that now, and we're really excited about that. But um in the beginning, it was just really that lighthearted, like, wow, we don't have the stress anymore. And then me being able to eventually stop doing hair. And then my husband, his story's kind of crazy and different. Our whole situation of when this was happening, he was actually getting deployed to the to Africa. And so I had we had sold our house, moved in with my parents. There was like really, really high stress, and then he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and then they said, Oh, you can't go anymore because you have Parkinson's disease. So we had just sold our house, most insane time of our life, for them to be like, just kidding, like you're not going now. And so he was actually not working because he he was like, I'm not gonna see the kids for a year. I have three months, I have three, I want three months with them before I leave, just like every day. We were living with my mom and dad. And I, in this time frame, was starting to make my five figures a month. And so I was like, we're completely fine. Like, how wild is this that my husband isn't working? He's about to leave and go and on deployment, and I'm making this money. Like, it was just so mind-blowing. And then to get the news that he wasn't even going, and we were like, Oh my gosh, like, well, at least we have this money. Then he went and got a job, and it was like comical. We were like, Why are you doing that? Like, we got a nanny, and then his job was paying our nanny, like exactly. And so I was like, this is silly. And so then he came home and he's with the kids now. I could have never imagined if you would have told me that when I started talking about my weight loss online, I probably would have laughed so hard because there was no way I had made that, you know,$1,400 in the one week, but there's no way I thought it was gonna get to where it's at now. So, um, and and I know that you have a lot of practitioners that are listening to this. And I think what's really crazy too is being in this space, I am not a practitioner. I am just a hairstylist mom that started talking about my journey. And this has opened up the gates to so many people in the health and wellness space to shift their practice and be able to bring a lot of who they already speak with into them being able to earn this side income on top of what they're already doing in their practice. And that's that's been also really life-changing for a lot of practitioners.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. And Carla, you said that you're, you know, you're a mom, your hairstylist. I know a lot of us practitioners have a license to prescribe. And a lot of us practitioners like myself, I'm a chiropractor by degree. I always say that. I'm a chiropractor by degree because I don't do chiropractic, haven't done it in seven years, don't ever plan on doing it again. Um, but we don't have a prescription license. And I think that's one of the biggest fears of getting into peptides is one, who to trust, to you know, how do we go about that with a licensed physician? And there are avenues which we will talk about later. And to do that, which if you do have a license that removes your liability, and two, if you don't have a license, well, now you can provide that to your clients.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, this is a great opportunity for outsourcing. So a lot of practitioners who don't want the liability of it, you're you're putting that on, you know, the telehealth company and the telehealth doctors, where um, like I have a uh physician's assistant in, you know, who I help in inside of my business where she wanted to transition everyone over, but she still sees her patients. She sees them regularly, but they're getting their prescription from the telehealth company. So if they do have any pressing questions, they have that access to them to ask those questions, but she still has them come in. She sees them, she's with them, she's having a full normal appointment, but um, just that prescription is coming from the telehealth network.
SPEAKER_01:So let's talk about like maybe the money side of things. So you're with a telehealth company, and there are there's lots of noise out there. We're all seeing the advertisements on television right now, which to me that's a benefit. They're doing all the head, they're spending all the money and advertising. And I'm gonna come in there and say, well, that's all true, but guess what? I can help you do that safer, easier, um, without a membership and any of that kind of stuff. But there's multiple ways within the telehealth company that you are referring people to to make income. So it doesn't have to be that you have this like in like traditional network marketing, this massive team of people in order to make money. You can just be out there sharing this link with an affiliate link and and making money that way and building that way, right?
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, so the way I like to explain it is that it's kind of there's two sides of this opportunity. Um, the very first and most important is that you're gonna get an affiliate link where you can send to people and when they purchase from your link that's connected to you, you will get 20 to 40% of that sale off of the each product has a point value, and you will get paid off of that point value. So I make 40% off of that all of my sales made through my link. And again, I'm gonna remind that this is not a one-time commission, it is a rolling commission. You will be getting paid every single month someone stays on their prescription. And that is like the bread and butter of the business is this link where you get to make, you know, the 40%. Where there's also the other side, and it's completely optional, also amazing, that you can bring on affiliate referrals. So I like to bring in an affiliate and say, hey, if you start selling here and you want to get a link with us, then I will help you and I will help guide you on how to do all of the sales, and then I'll earn 10% from them. And it just goes on. Again, that's optional. I have I have contacted many influencers in this space who have had really life-changing um um transformations from their GLP ones. And I reach out and I'm like, hey, do you have a link to make any sales with this? And they'll say no. And they sign up and then they say, I have no desire to bring on any other affiliate referrals. And I say, That's fine. All you need to do is sell from your one link and you're good to go. And people are making so much money from just selling from their one link. If you do add on this affiliate referral option, that obviously opens up a whole different gateway of you know, bonuses, and you are earning just a lot more deeper because you're opening that up to more people to sign up. So it is like a hybrid. That's kind of what you like to call it, Jessica. It's a hybrid model where you can benefit from both if you want to do both, or you can just do the sales side of it and just your affiliate link and have it available and also make a lot of money that way. Right.
SPEAKER_01:Do you think that there is, you know, we've we've talked in our previous episode when we're talking about people's personal journey? Um there's a lot of, in my opinion, poor use and poor prescribing of a lot of these peptides, um, irresponsible, that there's a lot of practitioners that are only getting their information from pharma reps, big pharma is kind of, in my opinion, just gross in general. Um, so when people hear us talking like this, if it's just a um, you know, while this is geared towards people that want to build business, but if we have people that are listening in that are uh on the consumer side and they're hearing us talk about, oh, they're making 20 to 40 percent off from every prescription, that's gross. I want to emphasize they're not you're not making 20 to 40 percent on that retail dollar amount. That's not exactly how that works. But in volume, based on that point value, that's where that that's gonna stack for all of us. Um yeah, that's that's the volume that's gonna really that that's where that's coming from that we're talking about.
SPEAKER_00:Right. And I will say, legally, we are not allowed to make this is where people come to me all the time in my messages. You're not allowed to make a commission on a prescription. That's illegal, and that's not where we're making our commission from. Our commission is actually coming from the telehealth company, right? Like the prescription itself, it they are paying for the prescription. That is not part of our commissions. This is coming from the telehealth company. And again, the liability is completely covered by the company. So we do not need to be worried. Like, I have a lot of people who are like, I'm just a stay-at-home mom, or you know, I'm I'm just an eyelash girl, or I'm I'm just a stay-at-home mom.
SPEAKER_02:Look at what Carly's doing. I know. Yeah, I was a stay-at-home. I think when we when we phrase it as like, what's possible? Yes, it's so true. If we just get started, yeah, what's possible? Because, like, like you've mentioned before, like I would have never imagined I would be doing what I'm doing, and my husband's doing what he's doing, and we're able to invest, not just live paycheck to paycheck anymore, because you simply I want to use these terms very for a specific reason. You simply gave yourself permission to go for it.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, on both aspects. I gave myself permission to start it and actually bite the bullet to do it. And I also gave myself permission to finally talk about it and help other people. And um I will say, like how I was saying, just a stay-at-home mom and just a massage therapist or just an eyelash girl. I think there's a lot of fear where people are like, I'm not a doctor and I don't prescribe things, like they get really nervous about that. I don't have the knowledge, I don't have the knowledge, and that is something to not worry about because there is so much education inside the telehealth company and coming from, you know, I give education to the people who I help bring on, and they're that's why we have this podcast here too, is to help provide education, right? And there's nothing to fear on that side because if you're passionate and you want to talk about it and you want to help people, it's gonna be easier to get the education to help other people know how to help themselves. And um, I have helped hundreds of people earn a decent side income. And um, it has been a new passion that has unlocked in my life where I'm like, wow, I did not know how much I love helping people make money because I know the feeling. I know the feeling of suddenly being like, look at that check. Like, that is absolutely insane. And it's the most exciting feeling ever to actually see the fruits of your efforts you know come to fruition. It's incredible.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, it's amazing. And I love things that go for it, Carly.
SPEAKER_00:I just want to say that it's not um an kind of what you were saying, Jessica, that some people will look at it as like, oh, you're like earning this money. Like people kind of look at it in a negative light. And I know even people who like will purposely not use a person's link for like a commissionable link because they're they're weird. They're like, I don't want to give that person a commission. And it's so strange to me. It's like, why? It doesn't make an it, it doesn't make it more expensive. It's the exact same price, it's just you're I'm the gateway of getting it to you, you know. So like I you're doing the marketing. Yeah, we're doing the marketing. Yeah, you're getting paid for marketing. Yeah, some people look at that and they're like, oh my gosh, like how icky! And it's like it's not, it is. I have helped so many people. I have people who message me that say, I want to make sure I'm using your link so that you can get a commission. Like, I have been following you so long. I love all of your tips. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I love all of you guys so much because it's it is truly life-changing, and they want people want to help you. And so, um, a lot of people get scared. And even like I I work with so many practitioners also that are like, oh, I'm gonna have to do a whole shift. It's gonna be a whole mind shift inside of my practice, and that's okay because it is worth it in the end. Um, even if you are able to prescribe, that is such a cool shift where you're like, wow, I don't have to do as much heavy lifting and I can talk about this online and not be seeing patients in my office and still be getting a really amazing paycheck and side income.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, as we conclude this episode, I just want you to think about like take a minute and give yourself permission to think about what it would be like to have an extra, say, four figures in your bank account every month, and then to watch that four figures turn it into five. And if you're really audacious, four figures turn into six. Because why not? You know, allow yourself to have opportunities, but not just see the bank account, see how it changes your life because your life has changed. How many more lives can you change?
SPEAKER_01:As I've said before, nothing excites me more than the work that we are doing now. Um, helping so many people find what was missing in their life when they thought something was wrong and changing people's lives financially, um, how they're making that money. For me, looking for my exit out of my office, which there are so many people that are just looking for another way, or people that are just looking to supplement what they're already doing because they they still love what they do. They're not looking to leave the profession, but maybe all that's just gonna go as an investment for their retirement. So someday when they're, you know, for me, you know, my my goal is the house on the water, right? That's that's what I'm that's what I'm striving for. And I want that retirement to look like I've built something really good that I can go sit at that house on the water, still help get paid and get paid and not worry. Yeah, it's just exciting on every level, and every level, and to know I will lay my head down at night knowing that I've done all these wonderful things out there in the world. Like that's exciting to me too. I can make money just helping people heal and feel better, um, and know that I've not done it in an icky way.
