#27 Stop Researching. Start Ordering. Your Quick-Start Guide to GLPs, BPC-157, and TA1
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Peptides are powerful, practical, and too often misunderstood—so we set the record straight with a clear plan you can use today.
We start with the workhorse that helps almost everyone: microdosed GLP with GIP. By smoothing blood sugar spikes, this combo lightens the liver’s load, cools gut inflammation, and even eases neuroinflammation that shows up as brain fog and anxious edges. Prefer to skip needles? We explain daily oral drops, personalization with B12, glycine, or L-carnitine, and why medical oversight makes the difference between guesswork and real results.
From there, we dig into BPC157 with TB500—the Wolverine stack—for connective tissue repair and gut lining support. If you train, sit too much, or just live in 2026, microtears and tendon stress are constant. This stack supports healing of ligaments, tendons, fascia, and the GI barrier. We highly recommend it for athletes, clinicians working hands-on, and anyone stuck in a loop of soreness and slow recovery. We share when capsules shine for gut-first goals and when injections may deliver broader systemic benefits, plus smart ways to stack with GLP+GIP for performance and resilience.
We also give you a lab-first roadmap:
- Watch fasting glucose (85–99),
- A1C (<5.6), and
- HSCRP (closer to 0 is better).
- The ratio hidden in your CBC that you need to know
Understand the new way to treat regular labs. No more complicated supplement protocols. Let's switch them our for simple peptide stacks. How to treat what you see in your labs with peptides.
Whether your priority is metabolism, recovery, or immune balance, we outline simple stacks you can rotate or combine, and we walk through safe ordering via telemedicine with identity verification, prescribing, and aftercare included.

You have the science. You have the tools. Now it's time to take the next step.
This is PepTalk: Peptides Unpacked—science made simple, results made real.
Welcome To Pep Talk
SPEAKER_00Peptides are powerful and often misunderstood. And we're here to change that. One conversation at a time. I'm Dr. Kylie Burton. And I'm Jessica Brickie. This is Pep Talk, Peptides Impact. Science made simple, results made real. A funny story. We're sitting here talking without the recording, and I'm like, just shut up. We need to hit a recording so we can brain dump onto this recording and let people listen. As because we had both asked each other, like, if you could put, if you could recommend one peptide that everybody would benefit from, what would it be? Just you answer first.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think it would be microdosed GLP GIP trzeptide. That would be pretty much for everyone because it does so many things. Um in a perfect world, I'd put people on probably two or three, but that would be the one that I would start most people on.
GLP GIP Basics And Benefits
SPEAKER_00And mine would be BPC 157 and TB500. Now explain some a few of the mechanisms to your GLP and GIP, and that combination's tetra. Trusepidide. Trzepatide, yeah. My tetraway, no, that's the wrong. We're not playing video games today. They need to have better names. Like BPC 157. Come on. Uh okay, so explain a few of the mechanisms, why every single person could benefit from that, and then we can tackle the BPC 157.
Blood Sugar, Liver, And Inflammation
SPEAKER_01Well, one of the things that I think people don't understand that we've we've talked about it in over uh most episodes, many episodes, is that this is not a new peptide that's been used. Number one. Number two, it's something we naturally make in our intestines every time we eat, it's released into the into our body. Um, but it is largely been used for blood sugar balancing. And what we know is that so much metabolic dysfunction happens because people are are dealing with these blood sugar roller coasters, and that includes having a liver that is clogged, so it can't do its over 500 jobs when it's bogged down because at the end of the day, too much blood sugar, too much in the system pushes it into the liver, which is one of many reasons why the liver gets bogged down. And it also means that when we are inflamed and our gut health is poor, we can't bring in nutrients to do all the other bajillion jobs the body has to do. So GLP is gonna come in and it's gonna help quiet down the inflammation in the gut lining, it's gonna help support that liver function, it's gonna knock down inflammation throughout the entire body, including the brain. So many people are walking around with constant joint pain, um, gastro problems, uh, autoimmune disorder, neuropro uh brain can um, I don't know why this isn't coming out climate, but brain inflammation, which means that they don't have good memory, they don't have the ability to even not be stressed because of all that neuroinflammation, right? Like they're always anxious or they're under the gun in some way. So that is gut health and and brain inflammation. So when I talk about GLPs, it's it's so impactful on all of these many cis systems that overall, if we can knock down that blood sugar balance, knock down that inflammation in the brain in the body, we're gonna see such massive improvement in pain and in symptoms and everything. That doesn't mean we won't do really well stacking on other things, but as a baseline, whether you're autoimmune, whether you have uh pre-diabetes or a diabetic, whether you have a weight issue, whatever it is, GLP and GIP is really gonna help knock all that down.
How To Order With Medical Oversight
SPEAKER_00Explain before we move over to BPC how people can order it and what happens when they do.
Injections Vs Oral Drops
SPEAKER_01Well, with us, we refer them to a telemedicine platform that they are gonna go in, they work, they'll fill out their medical history, and they do have to provide a uh driver's license or some sort of form of ID to make sure that they are who they say they are. It's legit yep. You choose the peptide that you you want, um, you complete a purchase, and this is a prescription, so it's done one at a time. So even if you're looking to build a stack and you want multiple peptides, so you want this like I'm talking about, and then the one that Kylie's gonna talk about in a second, you have to go through this process again because it is one prescription with one provider looking at your history that now needs to make sure that everything is a-okay and you can have this. You complete the purchase, it goes to the provider, they go through your medical history and they evaluate all of that and approve you and ship it out overnight. And very often people will have this from the time that they've gone through the medical intake, putting that information into the time they have their peptides in their house, two maybe three days. It's so fast.
SPEAKER_00And provide options for them. They're like me, they don't want injections. What are their options?
SPEAKER_01Yep. With GLP, you can do injections, which is going to be the most beneficial. You're gonna, when you're putting it right into the cellular level by doing the injection, you're gonna have the best outcome. However, not everybody, like Kylie, likes to do the needles, but I promise you, they do not hurt. They don't hurt. I left mine in my refrigerator for weeks when I ordered mine eight months ago, uh, because I was afraid of it too. And the first time I did, I'm like, oh my gosh, what a baby I was being. This is nothing. But that needle fear is real. So there are oral drops, and they are something that is done daily. So the injection is done once a week, the oral drops are done daily, and our platform has the ability now to personalize them just for you. So you can add B12, glycine, or L-carnitine, whichever one is the best one that is gonna fit you. You can read on all of those different um benefits from each one and decide how you want to personalize that experience based on what you need. And by the way, all of this is done under medical guidance again. These are prescriptions, they are powerful, they're not toys, which is why you need to have good medical oversight, which is what we're providing for you.
Personalizing With B12 Or Carnitine
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it's not just the ordering of it, it's the medical oversight after you order it as well, which I think is very, very beneficial. And it's not at an extra membership fee, it's not at an extra price tag for the consult. This comes included. So the price that you see on the website when you order your peptides is the price that you will pay. There are no hidden there's no hidden agenda on this. All right. So when I ask Jess what's her favorite peptide, who can every single person benefit from? It is trzeptide. Mine would be the BPC 157 and TB500, the Wolverine stack. Those come together in either a capsule form or an injection. Like I said, I haven't wrapped my brain around the stabbing yet, so I'm going to take the capsules and I'm taking them right now. Uh they're the tiniest capsules, too. I have never seen capsules tinier than this.
BPC157 TB500 The Wolverine Stack
SPEAKER_01They are tiny. I will also say when you're doing the capsules, if gut gut work is your primary goal, which it is for some people, doing the capsules is a fantastic way to go about it. It really is, because it's going right to the place where it needs to happen. Use those peptides.
Tissue Healing And Gut Repair
SPEAKER_00When I think about this peptide or the this combination between the BPC and the TB500, I think healing. It's going to heal the smooth tissue in your body. It's just, it has such a healing aspect of all tissues that I think every person who is a chiropractor, every massage therapist, every PT, if you are putting your hands on somebody for a living, you need to have this on like your number one priority because it is going to be healing your ligaments, your tendons, your tissues. Like I said, it's healing your gut. Um, the more I learn about the impact it has on the gut, the more I learn about the impact it has on autoimmune disease. It's just a great aspect to implement into your wellness regimen, your biohacking regimen, whether you have a diagnosis, whether you have symptoms or not. I'm taking it just because I know the power of it. And I'm if it great heals my knee, like that's gonna be cool. I'm gonna try testing that in a month or two when I go to run when the weather is okay, is okay. Um, but for me, it's that healing aspect. You know, we live life and we're we're just getting degraded. So it brings up a really bad heal.
Why Tendon Tears Are Rising
Nutrition, Blood Sugar, And Tissue Health
SPEAKER_01You and I started recording because I started to say something to you, and you're like, wait, I've been hands-on with patients now. In in six months, it'll be it'll be 35 years. I can't gosh, every time I say that, I can't believe that I can that I'm old enough to be able to say I've been doing my job for that long. But it's you know, I'm 36 years old. Yeah, you were in diapers when I was hands-on. So what I have seen is that years ago when I started my work in a chiropractic office, and she taught me how to be hands-on. It was before I had my massage therapy license. Um, she taught me how to do medical massage under her guidance, read x-rays, all these amazing things. But people were coming into that chiropractic office largely because their low back was out, their neck was out, mid-back pain, whatever, right? That was the leading reason that people were in that office. If you fast forward 25 years from that moment, we were seeing more incidents of meniscus, um, any kind of knee tear, shoulder tears through the roof, and hip problems and hip replacement, and all of these crazy tendon and ligamental tears that I didn't see in the beginning of my work. It it's not that it didn't happen, it was just extremely rare. But now it is incredibly common. So I was driving the other day and I was thinking, what's changed? This has been something in my brain for a long time. Like, what has changed over those years that we went from never seeing it to seeing it on the regular? And part of that, in my opinion, is how we nourish our body, right? As a functional nutritionist, I know that 35 years ago, the way that we were eating was more whole foods, less processed foods. Um, even if you were going through the McDonald's drive-thru, the ingredients in that McDonald's drive-thru wasn't as crappy. The pudding or the Oreo, or, you know, everybody says, I ate that when I grew up. You did, but it didn't have the crappy ingredients that it has now. So I look at how we're nourishing our body, and that we have a massive population with unbalanced blood sugar. And we know that having not enough protein and having too much um blood sugar in our in our system, that that is weakening the tendon and ligament makeup. So it's making us more prone to inflammation and tears. So this tool, this BPC 157, not only are we in places because of those same reasons that we're not making it as well in our body as we once did, but it's now allowing us to heal from these micro tears that are happening over and over and over again that didn't used to happen. So GLP is the foundation to help balance some of those things, lower down inflammation, whatever. But add on top of that, that BPC 157 to heal those micro those micro tears and put you in a better place to heal from, that is a winning combination. That's a huge, powerful stack. Huge. Yeah.
Stacking GLP With BPC For Recovery
SPEAKER_00And I, you know, I get on my Peloton, I'm now 20 weeks consistent, which is very good for me because I have been sleep sleep deprived for eight years. Um but whether you're going to the gym, whether you're, you know, signing up for a half marathon, whether you're just working out because it's healthy, your muscle breaks down and rebuilds itself. BPC157 is a you it's a must if you want to get the most benefit from what you're the effort you're already putting in.
SPEAKER_01So, Kylie, if people have their blood work in front of them and they want to know whether or not there is a certain peptide that maybe this GLP or BPC would fit, what would they be looking at? What is something that the average person even could just kind of we're not diagnosing, but they could say maybe this might help me if I see this? Is there something we can give them?
Reading Labs For Clues
SPEAKER_00Well, let's talk about a couple of them. One are our blood sugar markers. Okay. So anything, your blood glucose, your A1C, blood sugar would be any 85 to 99. Your A1C is less than 5.6. That's these are the normal ranges. Right. Those are what you want. Anything outside of that range, well, let's get some beneficial GLPs on your radar. Then we have our inflammatory marker, HSCRP. That standard normal range is between zero and three. Now you can play it one of two ways. You can say, I don't care about HSCRP till it gets past the three level. Or you can say, you know what, if I'm not at zero, there is inflammation in my body. I don't think I've ever seen anybody at zero. It's might have it might have been one or two. Very rarely do you see it above three, but they're not at zero.
A1C Glucose And HSCRP
SPEAKER_01Well, anybody I I don't I'm I don't know. I'm thinking about who I've seen it on, and I don't know that I've ever seen it at zero. But I what I was gonna say is rarely is it unfortunately tested. It's you know, not it not a lot of doctors know that this is something that is can just be done with a regular labs. It's nothing special, but it should be pulled. So if you're going to go and get your labs done, if you're on your way to get a well visit and they're gonna do the standard labs, ask your doctor to pull this for you so you can check your own labs. So it's H S C R P. This is an important one. Everybody should be looking, and unfortunately, it's none. So I don't see it a lot because people bring me their labs. And if if I haven't given them a labs, a list of labs I want to see, this one gets left off.
CBC Differential And Autoimmunity
Thymosin Alpha 1 For Immune Balance
SPEAKER_00Yeah, remind me, let's give them the list before we end this recording. Oh, yeah, yeah. If you're going to your physician or you're going to get some blood work ordered, these are the recommended labs that we would yeah, highly suggest you advocate for yourself so that those checkbox, those marks, those boxes get check marked. There we go. Um, okay, then the final one is what my favorite thing to talk about ever. And it is the CBC with differential. That is a lab it is found in. If you look at your labs and you're like, Kylie, I don't see those markers, then you only received a CBC, not the differential portion. The differential portion contains five markers. They are the neutrophil count, the lymphocyte count, the monocyte count, the eosinophils, and the basophils. We're gonna pay attention to the top two, neutrophils and lymphocytes. Those are markers for infections. You have the neutrophil count, the magic number is 60%. There are absolute values. You want to make sure you're looking at the percentages. So neutrophil count, 60% is your magic number. If you are elevated, you're looking at a bacterial infection. We'll get into that later. The second marker you're going to look at are the lymphocytes. Lymphocytes, the magic number is 30%. If you are over 30%, you're looking at a viral infection. I'm not gonna worry about that. We're gonna get into it later. Notice the numbers. The magic number is 60, 30. That's a two to one ratio. That's good. That's what we want. If you see that in your labs, you're thinking, yes. The fun part is when you don't see it in your labs and you see this instead. When your 60 starts to approach 40, and when your 30 starts to approach 40, say you're looking at your neutrophil count and it's 44, and your lymphocyte count is a 42, or for another example, your neutrophil count is 38 and your lymphocyte count is 44. When it becomes a meat in the middle and a one-to-one ratio, now you're looking at an autoimmune component. So let's speak on autoimmune for a minute, Jess. If someone looks in their labs and they've never ever heard an autoimmune name given to them, that's okay. It just means that your immune system is starting to attack regular tissue in your body.
Best Three Peptides And How To Stack
Free Lab Guide And Resources
SPEAKER_01And there's a peptide for that. There is. And we're so excited that we can offer it to people that is called thymoal thymusin alpha 1 or TA1. And this is a this is a peptide that is going to help people, not only with autoimmune conditions. So this is for those people that either know their lab values or can look at them, like Kylie just explained, or they know they've had a diagnosis of Hashimoto's or sarcoidosis or any of the, I don't even know how many there are, hundreds of autoimmune conditions that are out there. It doesn't matter what it is, I don't really care. Um, this is going to help regulate that overactive autoimmune system. But also in the case of somebody who is constantly getting sick or has a hard time recovering when they do get sick, that has an underactive immune system, this helps to modulate that. So it is going to make that immune system more balanced. It is an incredibly powerful tool for people with autoimmune conditions or just poor functioning immune systems. So in the world of peptides, we have three probably top favorites, top peptides, which is TA1, thymicin alpha 1, BPC157 combined with the TB500, and microdose GLP1 and GIP. Winning combination. And if you are really in the throes of not feeling fantastic and you feel so stuck and you have tried everything, you can start with one or you can start with all three. Or you could do maybe the microdose GLP with the TA1 and do a round of that, and then you could do the microdose one, microdose GLP with the BPC, whichever one might fit your primary goal if you wanted to do two at a time. But these are the three that are really going to help people with autoimmune conditions. Um many things, but largely autoimmune conditions is what we're talking about right now.
Share, Learn, And Get Started
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so if you're looking at your labs and you're seeing that one-to-one ratio, and you're looking at your other labs and you're thinking, man, I wish I could, you know, learn all these other ones too. I have a mini guide for that. If you go to drkylieverton.com, you can download your free mini guide. It doesn't matter who you are, whether you're health professional or whether you're just interested in consuming pet types for yourself, and that guide is available and it will walk you into well, it will walk you through more markers than just that one ratio. So I'm glad we hit record and we didn't not like share the bombs, the wisdom bombs we were dropping off air. Uh so if you have enjoyed this pop podcast, if you've enjoyed this episode, please share it with a friend and even like just share it on your socials because you don't have any idea what people are looking at, what they're researching. I guarantee there are people on your socials who are researching peptides, maybe even some people who are taking them and they're not having a good experience and they need to switch over, uh, let them know that this information is available and let them know where they can order peptides and get them done in the correct manner, just by sharing the podcast, and they can find all the details in the show notes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So if today's yeah, if today's conversation sparked something for you, if you're curious about how they work, how people are using them for support, uh, to support their metabolism, their recovery, their longevity, autoimmune conditions. You just want to understand them better yourself, whatever it is, that's exactly the kind of conversation that I love having. I spend a lot of time helping people learn how peptides are used and how to access them safely and responsibly, um, and breaking down what they can be, what can other otherwise feel like a really confusing space. So you can find me if you want, Instagram. I am justb.talkshealth, and you can also. Find me on my website b2bwithess.com backslash peptides where I share resources, education, and ways to continue learning. And somewhere along the way, if you're thinking this is something that I'd love to share with others too, we can absolutely talk about that as well.
SPEAKER_00My passion is really helping people understand the science behind these tools, how much they can utilize them beyond weight loss. If you're someone who loves learning about health, longevity, and the future of medicine, this is a space that is evolving incredibly fast. Whether you're looking at ordering peptides yourself or joining the affiliation and offering peptides to your friends, your family, and your clients, you can get started at drkylieburton.com.
