Pep Talk Kickoff And Mission
SPEAKER_03Peptides are powerful and often misunderstood. And we're here to change that one conversation at a time. I'm Dr. Kylie Burton. And I'm Jessica Brickie.
SPEAKER_01This is Pep Talk. Peptides Unpacked. Okay. How long have we known each other?
SPEAKER_03We've known each other probably six years.
SPEAKER_01And not just like an association. This is like, I could tell you a lot about your life, and you could tell me a lot about my life. We're friends. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's a weird thing to say. You're friends with somebody who you've never met in person, isn't it? Correct. It's the but but it it's the truth.
SPEAKER_01Like and I feel like you know, 2020 did that to us. Where we created a lot of Zoom relationships, and they've just been a Zoom relationship. And when you finally meet somebody in person, it's like, whoa.
SPEAKER_03Oh, we haven't done this before. I can give you a hug. But also, like it opened up this window. Yes, 2020 did that to us, but it opened up a window for us to create these relationships that maybe we wouldn't have done.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Without Zoom. Very much so.
SPEAKER_03You know, you're on I'm in New York, you're in Utah. It wouldn't have happened maybe if that hadn't happened.
SPEAKER_01We couldn't record this podcast without Zoom. 100%. So we spent some time together this weekend
Zoom Friendships Turn Real
SPEAKER_01in person together with where we could hold hands, give each other hugs, cheer each other on, and it was like fuel to my soul.
SPEAKER_03I love getting together in person with people. I think there's so many that don't uh they're like, nah, I don't need to be around people. No, you need people. You need to be human the connection. You need the connection. And um, we do fine with our virtual connection. We have a great friendship, but to be in here in person and squeeze each other and feel the physical energy off from each other, off from the people we just surrounded ourselves with, that's just next level. So we're gonna walk away from what we did this weekend and have this level of inspiration and excitement and we're gonna clarity and hope.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Clarity and I've been I've been dabbling with some ideas like I could do this, I could do these other things. And I walk, I walk away from this weekend and I'm like, nope, I'm done. This is it. This is what I'm doing. And and literally I just got a text message from another colleague, and I just want to read it to you guys. Um she says, Are you all in with this? Like, is this your number one revenue stream? Did you burn the boats with everything else? If you did, we definitely need to catch up. And I texted her back and I said, burned, ashes, dissolved forever, gone. This is my number one thing because the demand for this stuff is too high. But at the same time, the demand is there. I haven't had this much fun. At the end of the day, isn't it? So long.
SPEAKER_03Like we heard story after story after story, and the very last person that spoke today talked about how she had built in a space similar to this, not with this particular product, telemedicine and peptides and all of that, but she had built in a in a network marketing space before, and the burnout and the have to always be up and the energy and all of that.
SPEAKER_01The dreariness of of being in within a company that just wasn't exciting. And and when you say network marketing, I'm like crazy.
SPEAKER_03But at the same time, I think we need to embrace that a little bit because because there's this idea that with other companies, first of all, there's the ick factor. Secondly, people are sold this impossible dream. Not impossible, I shouldn't say that, but this dream of you could be the next blah blah blah gajillionaire. And he'd be like, without put any effort into it, without having to work at all. Guys, it's called network marketing for a reason because it's still a job. Net work marketing.
SPEAKER_01Not luck, as you said. Yes, it's still it's still work. Um when it comes to like releasing the old and entering this new phase, I've ran seven-figure business before. I've had to not only figure out what I'm selling, but then how to figure out how to sell it. And walk everything in step in between, and then you have to figure out the fulfillment once you do sell it. Like every step of the puzzle, every piece of that business was on my shoulders. Even though I had a team around me, a phenomenal team, um I was just drained. At the end of the day, I didn't have time for I didn't have the energy for the kids. I certainly didn't have the energy for the husband, and that's five days a week. When I swore it was only gonna become three
Inspiration From The Weekend Event
SPEAKER_01days a week. When I finally released that and I closed the LLC, I shut everything down, you know. I'm I'm around individuals this week like yourself who are like, Kylie, what are you still are you still up to anything? Like, what are you still doing? I'm like, no, it's been terminated. I shut it down. And you know, in the back of my mind, I could be doing other things. I could throw out this course, I could throw out this course. I mean, I'm a creator, that's what I do, I create. But why distract myself from something that's just gonna bring the old burdens back? When this is clearly working, it's clearly gonna soar like a rocket ship after what we've learned this weekend. I'm surrounded by people that I love to be around, who are visionaries, who are creators, who are audacious moms, dads, you name it, they're on a mission to change their family's life. And that's really what we're in it for.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. While we get to help other people feel better. Yeah. Like it's twofold. Like we get to, so we get to hear the feedback of, oh my gosh, we just recorded a podcast with somebody who no longer has migraines after doing the her her peptide stack. And we get to have that feedback of how lives are being changed because of the product we are bringing to other people. And we are having a blast doing it with each other, with the people we're bringing into our teams, with the people that are on other teams. That's the other thing, too. We're not competing with other people out there, we're celebrating the wins across the board with everybody because we're with a company with a beautiful mission to help ever other people do well while being okay, making a heck of a good income on that. Right.
SPEAKER_01My heck of a good income isn't there quite yet. It's growing, but it's growing. And when I think about you know, if I'm running a seven-figure business, I've got payroll, I've got expenses. My take home was pathetic when you when I say that.
SPEAKER_03When you break it down to your how I'm gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_01It was pathetic. And I feel like a lot of us business owners or a lot of us entrepreneurs have walked down that path in some way, shape, or form. And then we realize, wait, I can earn how much money and I can keep how much money? Yeah. And I don't have to worry about fulfilling or what I'm selling. That's somebody else's job. To me, that is like my favorite part about it. I don't have to stress over at night, how am I gonna formulate this program and how am I gonna what's the launch look like? Like, nope.
Burnout, Ego, And Work Reality
SPEAKER_01Me and you get a podcast, we talk about things we love, do it with the people we love, and with a telemedicine company that is unlike anything else. It is, especially after what we've just learned.
SPEAKER_03The the engineering, the innovation, the foresight that they have is unmatched, in my opinion. But talking about what you were just talking about, you're talking about as a business owner, right? But then we have stay-at-home moms that might be listening right now that have Or heck, how many dads have lost their business because of AI or their specialty?
SPEAKER_01Like you go to school in graphic design. Well, now AI can flip you a logo in ten seconds.
SPEAKER_03I say you've heard me say this a million times. There's so many men that if they got into the space, would thrive. And we have met how many of those men that are in the space. Guys, we were in a room with about 600 people. This is the smallest this event will ever be. It will only get larger and larger every time it happens. It was the first one of its kind with this company. And I don't know, out of the 600 people, men in the room, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say there was 25 men in the room.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna go like 10.
SPEAKER_03You know, I mean pretty minimal.
SPEAKER_01Pretty minimal. But those 25 men in the room are killing.
SPEAKER_03They're doing amazing. Amazing, amazing. And it's not hard. As we've said, this is something that people are looking for. In addition to, you know, we launched, we launched a new side of the telemedicine, which we might as well just go ahead and say. We we launched an HRT side of the business.
SPEAKER_01Which is hormone replacement therapy.
SPEAKER_03Right. And there are so many women that are out there that are looking for that help and they don't have good practitioners in their corner that know what they're talking about when it comes to that. This is something that's going to reach everybody across our country. People that are in these little nooks and crannies that don't have access to doctors that know what they're talking about in this arena. So if you're not interested in peptides and helping people with peptides, but maybe the hormones.
SPEAKER_01We're not interested in peptides, what are you doing here?
unknownWatch it. That's right.
SPEAKER_03But I'm saying your time. But as a business, there might be people that are listening to us right now that uh we're talking about business right now, that the business side of peptides is not of interest to them. They think that everybody knows and it's it's a it's already a saturated industry. It is not. There it is not even. We haven't even scratched the surface of what needs to be done to help people with peptides, but there might be people that are looking for a different, different uh business model. Same thing, it's all under the same house, but maybe you're pre-menopausal, post-menopausal, maybe you've had a hysterectomy and you're not getting good support, you don't feel well, you're not sleeping well, whatever. Maybe you have a story to tell there, and this is something that you could look at as a way to earn extra money. And you do not need to be a health care a business person or a wellness expert.
SPEAKER_01You can be somebody that wants to be a person on a mission ready to change not just your life and the lives you're gonna impact by the products, but I always say we're gonna change thousands of lives by the products. It's okay to change our life too on the financial side as well. Um, and I feel like for me that's a that's a big driving factor. How many people are like I see this every day on socials? Hey, what are you guys doing for extra income? There's more bills, everything's groceries, the grocery bills are higher, gas is higher, everything's higher. But that doesn't mean our W-2 income covers the new prices. Right. So what are we doing for extra income? And I always want to post like, hey, this is it. But then you look and it's like there's a thousand different comments, and the post is a day old. This is just gonna be another comment that people sift through. But for this, this is the right thing for us. And if you've been sitting here listening to this, you're like, God, I just been on the fence, I've been thinking about it. Guys, please come join us. You're I say that in the most loving manner because I'm I don't know when gas prices are gonna decrease. I don't know when prices of food are gonna decrease and everything is correlated to gas and all the economics behind it. But if you're if you're like, Hiley, if making $500 a month extra would change my life, pull the trigger and let's do it. Right. And then let's see what happens after six months. Are you gonna make $1,500? Maybe you'll make $5,000. Like you never know. But you have to step into the unknown to find out.
SPEAKER_03Which is scary for some.
SPEAKER_01For me, I'm like, ooh. I like that.
SPEAKER_03Does that mean I can make seven figures? Okay, I'm all for it. Well, we did see the announcement yesterday of our first seven-figure people within this company.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And we're two years in. It's still in its infancy. Still in its infancy. And you might be thinking, like, well, everybody else is doing peptides. No, they're not. You're just in the circle hearing it. So you think everybody is doing it. And even if you are offering peptides currently, like, say you're a health and wellness professional, and you're like, well, I already have peptides in my office. What about the person you just put on a peptide in their office? What about their mom and their mom's friends who live in different states? You're limiting yourself. And there's no reason for it anymore.
SPEAKER_03Well, people may think that they have peptides at their fingertips, but I assure you they don't have peptides like we have peptides. They don't have a way of administrating peptides like we have peptides, and they certainly are not going to have peptides sourced the way that we have them.
SPEAKER_01If we had a little like doo-doo, like some kind of like secret to music, we would play it right now.
SPEAKER_03They have all these buttons on here.
SPEAKER_01I have all these buttons. We'll play some secret to music in our minds because that's what we're gonna share in a future episode. And you guys, if you're getting peptides from somebody or somewhere else, just forget it because we just beat y'all. And you should come join us because what's happening is crazy cool. Not just on a product and an innovation side, but when I talk about we don't have to do all the fulfillment side, like as a business owner myself, it's exhausting working all of the hats. Now I gotta work two or three hats, I gotta focus more on the mom hats, and I'm gonna let other experts stay in their zone of expertise.
SPEAKER_03Well, also, you don't have to be an expert in this. You could just see this as a simple business model. This is smart business, this is a simple way to make money because all you're doing is pointing them in the direction. Here you go. Go talk to the doctor. Here you go. Here's a safe place to get them.
SPEAKER_01Here you go. Go talk to the physician. They're the experts. And I have a confession to make. You might know this, but I have a confession to make to our audience. Guys,
Telemedicine Peptides And HRT Opportunity
SPEAKER_01the way I learned peptides through this podcast. You're welcome. I texted, I'm seeing Jess post things. I'm like, girl, what the heck are you doing over there? She's like, Kylie, they're peptides, you gotta know about them. And I don't know if I missed the bus or where I've been in my little bubble. I don't think I knew what a GLP was until you told me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then of course we start talking about it and it comes up on my feet all the freaking time now.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, the phone's always listening.
SPEAKER_01Yes, but I I got into this on because one, I know a good business opportunity when I see one. I know what I'd just been through. And I'm like, I'm not gonna do that to myself again. And people will say, Well, why would you build something with a company that they can then strip you of everything? I saw another colleague post about that this week. And I'm like, Well, if you think about it, you're working a nine to five, they can take that from you at any given time.
SPEAKER_03How many stories have you heard about that in the in the last year or two or even COVID times? Yeah. It was suddenly gone.
SPEAKER_01Well, you should build your own business. Um, excuse me, I did that. Does it exist still? Nope. It's gone. Vanished, dissolved, burned into ashes. Why? Because there's been some s big economic shifts, some big time changes with AI leading the way. I can't tell you how many people had marketing agencies, all sorts of different online different agencies. They don't exist anymore. And I'm talking six-figure, seven-figure, eight-figure businesses all through the line. So don't tell me that building your own business now is the way to keep it. I don't believe that anymore. I used to. That was the only way to be in quote control of your income.
SPEAKER_03Well, you're not in control. Right. So you had that experience, and if you take a job working for XYZ company, it's the same thing. It's no, it's literally the same. It's the same structure, it's the same idea that you could walk in one day to do a pink slip.
SPEAKER_01So there's that aspect. The second aspect is is the potential really that good? You know me. Yeah. I know I'm if if there's a moon to stand on, I'm gonna shoot for it because I'm at least gonna land on the stars. And I have big audacious dreams and big audacious goals, and you better believe I'm gonna do the things I need to hit those goals. So I want to grow with a company that allows me to do massive big things. And I know we started to try one other thing beforehand a couple years back, and their legal team shut me down.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, Jess, if they're not gonna let me play big, I'm not playing.
SPEAKER_03And it almost snitched you. That whole experience almost made you not do this, probably. Like that was a little bit in the back of your brain.
SPEAKER_01Trust me, like, okay, here's the thing. I'll learn podcasts as we go, or no podcasts, I'll learn peptides. I'm a very good podcaster. I'll learn peptides as we go. And I'm in this for the business side. The more I hear stories, the more I'm like, hmm. These peptide things are pretty cool. The stories we hear, the more stories we're about to hear and release. We got good stuff. I'm like, okay. I've done the BPC 157 capsules, close my next one. Especially when that special, special thing gets launched, and it's so easy and friendly to take the peptides now. We probably could talk about that. Yeah, but let's save it for a special episode. Okay. The innovations, what's happening here at this telemedicine company? I'm gonna be very, very blunt. You are crazy to not get on board. I agree. And we're saying this in the most loving manner. If you're like Kylie, $500 a month would change my life. Join us. If you want $5,000 a month, if you want $500,000 a year, I don't care what your number is, but you have to say, I'm gonna take the leap into the unknown and I'm gonna walk it with women I trust. And a group, a powerful group of individuals who are not only changing their lives, but they're changing millions of other lives through the through products and the telemedicine and the everything we have access to now.
SPEAKER_03I heard one of our speakers say, working, workshopping some things, you your brain stops you from doing things because of fear, ego, and past trauma, right? Those are the things. And I think entering this world of affiliate marketing or network marketing, for me, my ego was probably the number one thing in my way. Absolutely not.
SPEAKER_01I am not doing one of the ladies, her husband, you know, Angela and Steag, they did an episode with us several months ago in February. And I'm standing, you know, facing the stage, and and Steve comes up behind me and taps me on the shoulder and says, Hey, can I, hey miss, can I talk to you about PT141? And I turn around and I'm like, Oh my gosh, like again, we we know we have these relationships, but we've never met in person. Right. Um so he's like, I've been telling Angela, if like, call Kylie, call Kylie, let Kylie know. And Angela's response every time is no, she's against this. No, she's against this. And I said, Well, times change, people change their mind. Yep. And if you're thinking, I've been anti-peptides for so long, or however long you've been, people change their mind.
SPEAKER_03I talked with one of our people on our team about that today, right? Because uh I was anti-peptides because I was seeing horrible things happening. So I educated myself first and then I was talking about peptides online prior to this relationship I have with this company because I just wanted to get the education out there for people because I I felt like if they knew better, they could do better. And now I can help them do even better by putting them into a place where they can get them safely and they're cared for um better. But aside from I just lost my train of thought of where I was gonna go with that, but what I wanted to say is the ego got in the way for me, but the fear also gets in the way for a lot of people. Yeah. Right. So I would say the next thing is, you know, you hear, oh, what a you two are podcasting and I could never do that, or I see you on your socials talking about I could never do that. I assure you, the first time I did my first like video on Instagram or Facebook, I felt really weird and really awful. And now I don't even think anything about it. And if I do something that's silly or dumb, I just move on. Who cares? I flush it, it's gone. Do the next thing. I'm not gonna let that fear rule me. I'm not gonna let my ego get in the way and stop me. That's where I was going with that before, because I was so gonna be anti peptide. Give your space the room to change your mind.
SPEAKER_01And and really, if you're anti, you're just uneducated. 100%. And and for me, I was I was anti this business model because of I'm I'm in Utah, and people will say, oh, that's ML. In paradise. I'm like, I know it is. I live there. But this is different. This is way different. And the fact that you're not selling supplements, you're not selling a product, I mean, we're selling a product, but yet you have to have a prescription license physician to access these. And I don't have a license. I don't want a license. So it's a whole new world, a new space that we can then have access to and still stay in our zone of genius. And, you know, when we talk about social media and people are like, well, I just don't want to do that. Great. You don't have to. You know, today we're sitting on the last day of the conference, and how many people did we see wearing shirts that said like uh peptides, get them here with a text message? Or there, you know, I got a hat yesterday from Angela. I'm like, hey, I want one of those things. Do you got one? She's like, yeah, here. So I put the hat on. Like, I'm gonna wear this hat at my T-ball games that I coach at. And just wear something that starts a conversation with the people around you because they're gonna buy these things. You might as well get them the safest, most the best.
SPEAKER_03We don't say that lightly, by the way. We're not saying that because we're like some sort of brainwashed, like, like, oh, we're in this company and they we have the best product. I've been, you know, MLM, they're all about hype, right? Like when you go to these things, they're all like hype, hype, hype. This was not that, by the way.
SPEAKER_01It was this was innovation after innovation after innovation after education after like look, and it's I'm just like you. If I can do this, so can you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but it wasn't like this crazy, I don't know. I it just wasn't
Sourcing, Purity, And Third-Party Testing
SPEAKER_03this hype thing. But when we talk about the fact that these are the best products, we're not kidding.
SPEAKER_01We are these are the best peptides. If you're getting peptides from somebody else, these are second to them.
SPEAKER_03And if you are, we the one thing that we did learn this weekend, and we're gonna reserve a podcast on the subject, but one thing that we learned at I didn't really know, I knew, but I didn't really know this, was that all of the peptides that are in all of the medications out there, that includes the ones from Big Pharma, the big names, the Ozempic and the Zetbound and Manjaro and all that, those raw materials are all coming from the same manufacturing facilities overseas, most of them in China, almost all of them. There's like 15 different places.
SPEAKER_01China is our enemy, right? And yet they are fueling our entire economy. Correct. Isn't that backwards?
SPEAKER_03Oh well, that's been going on for a long time, though, I think, right? But what people don't understand is that includes the research grade, which people are like, oh, it's fine. You know, they have certifications. What we learned, what I was shocking to me, yes, these raw materials, including where our company has gotten them from, because we're sourcing them from the same places. Every has been that the are the FDA approved pens are getting them from. Um they have these certifications that come with each batch, and a lot of them are coming into this country and they're not even in English.
SPEAKER_01Or they're not being third-party tested either.
SPEAKER_03Well, say that they are, but they're taking their word for something that may or may not be in English that, hey, here's the certification for it, but they may not know how to read it. Number one. Number two, we're saying that ours are best because we take a step further. So, yes, in order to use these raw materials, every company that's out there doing this is supposed to have these certified raw materials. Okay, great. We do. We take them and have them third-party tested, which means somebody not in the pharmacy, somebody completely independent of us, is doing the testing to make sure that they are pure. And if they're not, because they have had raw materials come in that are not, not only are they not using them, but all of the people that need to be notified to make sure that the manufacturer oversees the government, because the you better believe the government's involved in all of this stuff, is notified that these things aren't right. So when you're out there saying, hey, I don't want to spend that money, I'm spending the money on research grade, and you are supporting that business or repping that business or whatever it is that you're doing, understand when we're talking about the fact that we are quality, we are about safety, and we want that for you, and we want you to build a business with that model, and we want everybody to stop using this garbage that's unsafe and they don't know what they're putting in their body. Just to save 10 bucks. To save yeah, in some cases might be a little more, but either way, not worth it if you're risking your life. Not worth it. You want to feel better.
SPEAKER_01You should probably get the best stuff to feel better.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So we've covered a lot. Um we just kind of hit record. Yep. And here's what came out of our mouth. We we love this company, the innovations that are coming, as we're gonna, as we've alluded to, we'll share with you more details about these on specific episodes.
