What if procrastination isn't really about laziness?

In this episode, I explore the deeper emotional and energetic reasons behind procrastination, especially for entrepreneurs, coaches, healers, and anyone building a business aligned with their purpose.

I share my own experiences transitioning from corporate life into running a spiritual business, the fears that arise when we finally pursue our dreams, and how fear of failure can quietly sabotage our progress.

We discuss business growth, self-doubt, social media burnout, creating freedom through entrepreneurship, and the challenges of building something meaningful from the ground up.

The episode concludes with a card message and a guided energy healing and cleansing practice designed to help release fear, strengthen confidence, and open the flow of abundance and creativity.

If you've ever felt stuck despite wanting success, this episode is for you.

Hello everyone, welcome to the Daydreamer podcast. It's your host Kasha Speaking. How have you been? So we are now in June mid year. So what have your experiences with the fire horse bin? Okay, so do you feel like it hasn't happened for you? Do you feel maybe like it started happening a bit? Or maybe it maybe it's in a full swing. I'm really curious how is it going for you? I can tell you that for me, um, I feel like it's it is happening. I can see the shift in energy. I feel like many things moved, not as much as I would like to, for now I see more like um promise. This is what I see mostly the promise of things to happen, like dreams coming true. Um the tarot wheel of fortune will start moving in a positive direction, also at Tarot Wheel of Fortune. It's it's finally like getting out of this plateau. Um, yeah, so this is what I see, this is how I feel. Um, so I do hope that you feel at least a little bit of this energy in your life. Okay, so that's that's a tiny bit of an intro, but what I wanted to talk about today is procrastination. Procrastination to do work. I will be talking more about procrastination, um, that is for people who do have their own businesses. So, I mean it it you can take it and you know compare it to multiple um multiple other different areas uh types of work, but that's what that's what was on my mind. Like what has been going on with me on my particular example, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. I mean, I can actually I know I'm not the only one because I talk to other people who have similar struggles, so there is something about moving from nine to five, and where you you do in nine to five, you know what tasks you do you have to do. Um you have some timelines, and you understand, or if there is no timeline, you understand by when, and you can do do it last moment, so you meet the timeline. Um, where is the time like to where there's less work, you can do less work, and everything is fine. Um for the the working for yourself, it's a bit of a different animal, it's like you can't if you can work as much as you want, and they say that you know business owners work 24-7. All right, but if you have made this transition from 9 to 5 to your own business, it might be quite a difficult, difficult change because now, okay, when you have one-to-one clients, all right, that's the time that you you know, someone's showing up at your door, or you have like an uh you know online meeting in your calendar, and this is where you have to do the work. But what about the other times? What about the time I don't know, you're doing a podcast, you have to find a way, find the time to make your podcast. Are you run your social media? What about um all the work you can do around your social media? Maybe you're writing something like all the stuff that you can manage in your own time on time, and I feel like it can be one of the biggest curses of this whole thing. So I've been really struggling when I have one-to-one, yeah, that's like I said, easy. But with recording, but even though I really like recording podcasts, um, I I do feel really difficult to just get on with it. Um, because I I just constantly feel like I have no energy or don't want to of or feel some internal blockages, um, not to mention social media. Social media is a feel like the worst part of the business. Uh, I heard it from quite a few people that if they could just do their work without social media, that'd be amazing because most people don't like doing social media. If you do, if you like doing social media, then you're lucky, then you're really lucky. I really, really don't like it. Um, I find that it's very easy to get burnout, and you know, I don't want to swap one burnout for another burnout, but you also, if you don't do work for your business, then you don't make money. Um there is there is that this type of work um for your for yourself that actually may not directly translate into money, which is even more difficult because you might be growing your business, you might be growing your let's say got stuck to the social media, you might be growing your social media. Um and before you see any movement there, before you see any actual evidence that you it it's working, you know, to pay you back, um, might last a while, and you'll be doing all this work to without seeing anything in return. So that's another very difficult aspect of this work, and there is something I recently discussed with with my peer from my psychotherapy school, um, because we're all you know not all but most of us want to change um our lives and you know move away from what we used to do fully into this new way of um having clients, um businesses, etc. So there is what what I think is very much aligned with what I feel and my blockages is the fear of failure. It's so deeply rooted. It's I've really since I started my business that was was it like November 2025? So when you when you think about it December, January, February, March, April, May, June. Yeah, so that was a difficult math. Fine, uh seven months, so it's not a very long time, and I I did have some clients already because you know I've been working in spirituality or like before as a coach, it's always been somewhere, always been like a bit of a side job, as I had many clients over the years. Um, I I first started having clients, I think. When was it? It was it late teens or early 20s. No, I think it was late teens because I did my coaching certificate. Oh no, I did my coaching certificate in the uni. You know what? I don't remember, but it was a long time ago. So over the years I have worked with many people with in different modalities, but I was fully focused on my corporate career, so I didn't really have um you know time to have um more than a few clients here and there that they come back to me on regular basis, that I do it somewhere after work over a weekend or so, something like that, right? So when I started, I you know maybe had some some clients, but I felt like here in the UK I will never build any client base, and I must say for me, Poland, which is weird because I don't live there anymore, I guess that the network is bigger there, um moved much faster with the clients. Uh UK uh slower, so the the percentages I have more Polish clients to the UK clients, uh but it is growing and I see it's moving, you know. I know you know people reaching out um more and more. So I do manage to like in these seven months actually build a nice base. Um, it's not yet where I want it to fully be, even though I do have limits. So when I'm in Poland, a lot of my clients want to work face to face, so I work practically every day more than one person, and it may sound for some people normal, but with the type of spiritual work, um incredibly taxing. So I can't also do more than two or three people a day, so it's not like it's that difficult to have a full full calendar, right? Um it's not, but um like I say, like I said, it's more move for me, moved more faster in Poland. Um UK a bit behind, but um UK I can see it's growing, which is nice. So in like these seven months, I did it actually, it is I think a very positive result. Um it's still a far cry from how much I was earning as um in the corporate situation, but it doesn't matter because you know, one-to-ones are not the only thing I want to do. Um I want to build this business, and this is where it starts because I went as always on a very big caveat. But the the fear of failure is that you're actually facing trying out your dreams, so it's easy. Um I know it's easy, but it's it's different when you are doing something else and you keep on dreaming about changing your life upside down, moving different directions, working on something completely different. Um that is um then you have this all these dreams. Oh yes, I will I will it will work out for sure. You you'll be a winner, you'll be biggest in the world, you will be a millionaire, all this stuff, right? This is all happening in your head, and it's amazing. Then if you when you finally get on to actioning it, then you need to face the fear of failure, the biggest possible fear of failure of something that you thought was your dream, right? So of course it can still be your dream, but what if it doesn't work? What if something you have been you believed was like your soul purpose will just not work, and that's a paralyzing, petrifying thought, and even though like consciously I'm mostly okay with that, there were thoughts that I will never build a business. I it just felt so surreal to think that I can have a business. Um, I don't have it anymore. Like I said, I'm like at the beginning of this business because um working on your schedule of one-to-one clients is not really the full business. Your business starts uh when you actually that what gives you freedom is um digital, you know, workshops, retreats, um digital products, something that you can you know partially do like um workshop on a planned day or digital products and you can sell without being there, and this one-to-ones give you amazing experience, and I'm for sure continuing one-to-ones, but um they do keep you a bit like locked in a space where it's difficult to take three weeks off, it's difficult you you keep you keep thinking about like amount of people you have to uh move around, um or you may work much more before your holiday, like all this stuff or you can't like just out of the blue uh decide, oh let's travel tomorrow for four days somewhere because you have this responsibility of your one-to-one clients. Um, my perfect world would be if I had the full freedom. So this is where I'm where I'm going when I can actually do have um this space or tomorrow I'm traveling. Let's travel, let's travel with my husband tomorrow for two weeks, whatever. This is what I want. Obviously, that would mean that I would have to somehow work around, figure out how I what do I want to do with one-to-one, would I want them on specific days, like that's something to figure out, yeah. But I I feel that even though consciously um mostly fine, then there is something down there unconsciously that I for sure have a lot of fears because I can see how difficult it is for me to sit on my bat and do the work that is not one-to-one. I've been, you know, the book I've been promising. I actually I moved forward. I'm now working on cards and I want to record stuff. I think I mostly written um the part, uh, the written part. Um, but yeah, I'm pretty sure it will take me another two weeks or something. Um, so that was that's been quite a chore. Um recording, even podcasts. I feel like I am running out of ideas, which is which is a bit of a creative block. But all of that is connected with this with this fear of failure. I can feel it in my stomach, you know. I can feel this knot, it's almost like doing any work is like facing the possibility of a failure, and that is like so immobilizing. That is that is a really difficult thing to to work through. You know, actually, this is not um podcast because I often in the podcast give some advice um or some um general remarks around certain things, like how to how to maybe move along or how to deal with them. No, this one like I'm there with you. I'm really there with you. Um if you have like some practical advice how to move past it, or maybe you know, maybe this is just uh how it is, and um it's because it's been seven months and uh it will continue until a year or year and a half, and then we just mostly go away, but at the same time, maybe it doesn't fully go away. Makes me think, I I what was that? I'm sure that was in the Gordon, Ramsey, Netflix, Doku, serious, uh, the recent one. He mentioned, I think, that he was still worried about money, about everything. So it's like um it seems like it never fully goes away, but I don't think it paralyzes him, he's doing really a lot. So maybe one people get paralyzed, other people just throw themselves into action. Maybe over time you get used to a bit more. So, yeah, do I have a fellow business owner? Is it started approximately six months to a year? Are you still struggling? Um, are you do you have like do you work non-stop? Do you actually have motivation to work on stop or discipline? Or do you like me really struggle? Um, I even have problems with my health around it. It's honestly my mind loves the somatization. Um I would say I don't love it that much. Um, so it can even be that I plan, I even tell my husband, you know, you can keep me accountable. Starting tomorrow, I'm spending every day three and a half hours working, no matter what it is. Social media writing, even reading uh a book on the subject, right? Um, that would be like a beneficial for my practice, whatever. I'm just stuck in my office and and that's it. Of course, except the the the one-to-one, this I'm talking about this this work, I have a problem with. Um, and yeah, every time I try, I either wake up with a headache or I'm not feeling well, I I didn't sleep well, so it's obviously there is a blockage that I am working for. And let me just have a sip of water. I was just thinking, I'm sitting next to my cards. So, where is it? Oh, I'm asking the cart, and then we will do some cleansing. We will we can all use cleansing. I I will also use it uh for myself. Um so let's do it. I'm not looking. I made a mistake that I want to make that I made different colors of the cards, and I recognize more or less what's where, so I'm not looking. What's what stands behind this procrastination? Where is the blockage? Where is the blockage? Oh, two, two, okay, all right, of course. First one that came. I mean, they both came out, so I'm not sure which one is first. Um, heal this life first. Okay, so heal this life first. Um, this is the card that I created, and the message behind it is it's not past life related, it's actually related to what's going on this life, and what a perfect card of what I was just talking about. I am protecting my heart from the pain, so it's almost like yeah, if you don't try, you don't know, but for your mind, it actually this not knowing might be safer than knowing you're not good enough, right? So that's that's what's happening here, and it's a very tough one. And let me now try. Let me try to it wasn't planned. Um, I mean, you probably know that uh other than just a some subject, I don't really plan much, it's a lot of improvisation here. So let's uh let's maybe do a little bit of healing, um, of actually releasing. these blocks uh of melting them i will be i have the shamanic rattles um i started um my healing spiritual healing as um from the shamanic um like way um and i i quickly developed something of my own but yeah i started with the rattles and with a drum so yeah so this is rattles I don't know how well you can hear them but okay let's let's take some deep breaths together and of course do this only if you're in a safe place to do it to close your eyes to relax and now let's imagine that we have this cocoon of golden light around this but I want this light to be as warm as the sun it melts everything and it starts coming through our crown chakra and coming down through the third eye chakra and froze chakra and heart chakra okay this is where the blockers are let's look at this energy hot energy swirling around our heart chakra noting the blockages and now let's go to the solar plexus and there is also a blockage there confidence let's leave the light there for a moment and lower chakra creativity block and root financial block and it goes down to the ground and this golden hot sun energy has no limits if there's unlimited amount of this continues to come into your body and now it spreads into your head thoughts are being melted throat arms hands back chest belly hips butt legs knees feet and it's all inside your body's melting the blockages and now we will take a big breath in and when we breathe out we breathe out all these melted blockages we go one more time and one more time and now please allow me to send you some healing energy I will connect with the universe the energy goes from me I'm connected with the ground goes from my hands and it goes to you and I'm sending you this energy abundance dreams coming through the energy everything energy the healing energy thank you so much and I do really hope you enjoyed it thank you
