And then he goes, they asked him about what style of footy you guys are gonna play this year. You're gonna be more expansive like you normally are, and he said, and this was worrying signs already. He said, No, we're gonna play a more conservative style of footy, and I just thought, all right, that's them done. Yeah, they're gonna if that's the way they're gonna play footy, they're cooked. Yeah. Um yeah, like I they weren't they weren't terrible, but they weren't great either, I didn't think. Um I thought Purdue, when he went to fullback for drinkwater, he looked alright, but apart from that, like Elam Luke, that's about it. Yeah. But I thought Newcastle were impressive.

Like he he he he's obviously got rib cartilage damage, and you could see he didn't want he was didn't want any contact or anything. So that did affect their attack. But still, geez, I don't know. I fear for them.

Oh, well, KP was outstanding. I thought he controlled that game, he he looked dangerous every time he touched it. He was playing like he was playing that first receiver on the last tackle, doing a bit of the kicking in ball playing. I think he set up one of the tries where he got it one off the ruck and showed inside, played, and they scored in the corner. Um yeah, I liked I liked uh Fletcher Chart was good as well when he was on, but I thought Sanding came on and did a good job as well. Yeah. Um they got they got blokes that can like I know they didn't score upon the trial, and I was worried about that, but they do have some weapons there that can cause a bit of trouble. And I I don't know what we're gonna get from New Carlos this year. Yeah, yeah, I think they could improve.

Um and you stand it off the bench and and for occasions like that when something happens, or bring him on at nine. You know, I think you've got he's perfect for him. He probably just needs a real big block of doing it, yeah. And KP helps in that because KP steers him around as well.

There's a play in this game, and and I'm Cole Flanagan's I'm I'm not a hater because I I actually like Cole, but as a player, I I've no rap whatsoever. There's a play in this game that I don't know if anyone's mentioned. Matt it was near the end of the game, Matt Burton put a little grubber through for himself, picked it up. Now, if you watch Cole Flanagan, he's over defending at 5'8 on the other side of the field. Soon as it goes through, he turns and chases, right? Burton picks it up, and Galvin comes through. I think it's Galvin, and Flanagan's chase. The only one that chased. Galvin Burton draws uh Gather, Galvin gets it, and Flanagan grabs him, pulls him down, right? Makes the tackle, jumps up, gets the marker, they go right to the last tackle, Flanagan sprints across, and I think it might it might have been Crichton or it might have been someone, Flanagan makes the tackle and meter out. Not one person went over and grabbed him, and mate, I I went it was such a good play. And that's Carl Flanagan. But if you go back and watch it, like he did nothing the whole game, but I watched that play and I thought, you know what, if they win this game, I hope he gets wrapped for what he did, because he saved them massively there. Yeah. Saved them massively. And I don't think anyone's seen the play. And I if you didn't, go back and watch it. It's when Burton put the little grubber through. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
