Yeah, so um really it's like it really goes all the way back to high school. Um I used to make like little I used to play basketball. Um used to be very athletic, so I used to make little like highlight tapes of myself. Um my sister, she used to go to like all the games, she records, um, gets what she can get. And then um I used to go to uh iMovie, just like some music in the background, do some little effects. Um so that's kind of how like the whole like video stuff started. Um and then going to college, my major was TV and film. So I like to like edit videos a lot. Um and I like to play the game. And then when COVID came around, um it's a perfect opportunity. Exactly. So like, and that's all me and my homies did. We just played the game um right after class or you know, late at night. So I kind of just combined, you know, what I like to do in school and like just playing the game, put it together, and it just became like a new passion for me. And I started making little videos here and there, and then my friends were the ones to tell me to like, yo, you should like post it on YouTube because this is low-key kind of funny. And started doing that. And then that's when like the whole like live streaming era kind of just like boomed. So I kind of took my opportunity on that and

Combining Passions: How the Streaming Journey Began

Like, I love seeing that people take uh what you call non-traditional routes, you know what I'm saying? Because everybody like, okay, Corporate, you go to hours, you get a job, but it's like it's always refreshing to hear people take their passion and like actually pursue it and stay with it. You know what I mean? Because you've been doing this since like what 2022, 2020 probably like 2022, 2023, I think. Yeah, okay, cool. And what's kept you going like all this time through through all the ups and downs? Honestly, it's it's it's really because I only did it for because it was really fun. Um, it was fun for me. Like I said, I get to combine two two of my passions. Um, and I like to see other people's reactions. Um I can really care less if I get like two views every single time if I post a video. As long as I can like make my sister laugh or like my homies react to it, I'm good, you know? Um But what's kept me going is like seeing seeing what I can get out of it really. Um like I can build a really strong community, uh, meet like a lot of people who also do it, and like we could like support each other. Um is really seeing how far I can go with it and the stuff I can build off of it. Um like you see some of like the big content creators now. Um Kai Snap, he did like a whole Shima University. Um there's like some other people who's like hosting like giveaways back at their hometowns and stuff, and that's just like you know, like the max you can go. You know what I'm saying? It can because you used to have like rappers doing all this crazy stuff. Now it's like anybody could do it. Exactly. Like all you need is a camera and just press record and you never know where it can take you. Well, I love that you say that because I like I tell people that all the time. Like, if you want to like get in the content game, if you got a phone, you can make content, bro. Like a lot of people get get caught up in, and this might have been you uh at first, like where it's like you are nervous about posting something because you feel like it's not perfect, and you gotta get the perfect audio or the perfect edit and shit like that. And then, you know, something that you recorded, you know, a month ago, two months ago keeps getting delayed because of that perfectionism. Has that ever happened to you? Uh yeah, I would say so. Um, but very like minimally, um, because when I first started, it was like, you know, having fun. And then like I started like studying like a lot, like on YouTube, like how to get your first 1,000 subscribers, how to get 10,000 views, and it kind of just became like like very statistical and like just trying to get to a certain point for me to feel appeased, you know. Um, so I kind of I kind of started taking everything very serious and trying to be perfect in this aspect and make sure I edit this right and I gotta get this out on time. I don't know, I don't know where these little kids and their parents, I don't know what these parents are letting these kids do with their phones, but they will make like they'll make like little like AI edits of me. Like sometimes it'll make me like old or like they put like woman's breasts on me or something, or like it's it's it's getting out of control, it's getting very annoying. We're gonna have you're gonna have a lot of trolls. Um I'll probably say one of one of the craziest things is when I went live on TikTok, right? And there's this, there's this one guy who just he makes like a random account every single time, and he's just like waiting in the dark with the lights off. And then once I accept uh his request to go live with him, turn the lights on, start shaking ass. I'm like, what the f what is he doing? Like, like he's like he was like waiting the entire time just for me to accept his live, turn the lights on, and it's yeah, bro. It's that's probably the wildest thing. But like a flip out of that and make the shit go viral? Nah, I I couldn't do that. I mean, I s I should have, but it's nah. Nah, not your brain? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. I mean, I have like a whole lot of more wild stuff, but that was that was a little OD. I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, bro. People on the internet be weird, man. Like, be weird as fuck. Like, yeah. So my freshman year, I was just getting like acquainted with everybody, um, just like learning where everything's at, what to do. Um and it didn't really like pan out the way I wanted to. So I met like my friend group sophomore year. And one of my favorite moments was the first day when I met them, um, is one of my homies, Brandon. And we used to hoop all the time freshman year, but again, I didn't know anybody, I didn't even know him. And I just like he randomly hit me up first day sophomore year, said, Yo, I remember you from last year, let's hang out. I'm like, okay, cool. And then I met all of his homies. It was like three in the morning. We over here at uh Howard, China, getting some chicken at the corner, and I'm chopping it up with like all these, all these like guys are like my close friends now. Um that's probably like one of the best nights for me that I can remember because that's kind of where like everything started. Um and honestly, if I had never met those guys, honestly, if I never went to Howard in general, I don't think I'd be streaming because that's kind of that's kind of how it started. I playing the, I started playing the games with them. I started like they started watching me and saying like I should post. probably like the craziest thing. Craziest thing is probably when I went to the I went to a uh house party for the first time. And what year was this? Uh sophomore year. And he didn't go to no house parties or freshman year? I did. I went to parties, but it wasn't like it wasn't house parties. It was more like in the club, downtown DC. Um but like sophomore year, like that's when like my homies, they kind of knew like where to go, like all the all the cool spots and like tickets and stuff. And then like later on the night, it started getting mad hot. We shoulder to shoulder at everybody, and we hear like like two niggas in the corner like arguing. And then we look over the IBS cools, whatever, you know. Again, this is my first time at a house party, so I didn't really know what that meant. One of my other homies, like, yeah, it's time to go. Like, like, what do you mean it's time to go? I said, look at them, like they arguing. I was like, okay, cool. And then I I don't know, I don't know if I seen this right, but I seen, I seen, I seen one of the homies, he started reaching under the shirt. And then one of my homies like pulled me by my arms and it's time to go. And then some one girl started screaming. That kind of set off the entire party. Everybody else started screaming, everybody started scrambling. I'm I'm drunk, by the way. So I'm over here like, okay, what's going on? So I'm like, okay, what's going on? What's going on? I'm like, bro, like, this is my first time. This is supposed to happen. Like, I thought somebody started breakdancing on the floor and shit, but like, no, everybody's running. Honestly, I think when you first start out, you kind of have to like, even if you have one person watching you, you kind of have to like talk as if you have a hundred people watching. Once you get like that first 20 view stream, you're gonna start panicking. You're gonna start like, like, oh, what should I do? You know? Um, but yeah, I would just say like keep them staying on. It's I just say be yourself. I don't want to say like start doing certain things because you're not really being yourself. Um and like I said, if people fuck with you, they're gonna watch you, you know? Um but usually what I do, I like promo myself on Instagram. I have a homie who does like he does like digital art. He makes me like little posters and stuff of like if I'm doing this and doing that. Um post promo myself on my Instagram story, post on Twitter, TikTok, yo, I'm going live at this time. And once I'm there, it's like, you know, I try to I try to fulfill the promise that I said like in the promo or like or in this clip saying like, oh, I'm gonna do this. And then, you know, most people, most people want that need and you do it, they're like, okay, that was funny. I want to stay, I wanna keep watching. Why I Stream on YouTube & TikTok Instead of Twitch

Um, I kind of when I first started, I was posting like faceless gaming videos on YouTube. Right. And um that's kind of how like I built my audience there. And then I started streaming. Did you have commentary over it too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was I was just talking, I just didn't have a face scan then when I first started, and then um started going live there. So I kind of just thought like, okay, if I have all my audience here, you know, why migrate over here, over to Twitch? And then I think about like how Twitch is like really like booming right now, so I might as well. Um, but it's it's it's kind of hard to like like transfer everything that you had in one spot to another because not everybody's gonna go there or um you know, anything can happen really, but um that's where everything's at. So I can meet a lot of new people on Twitch. Um it's gonna happen sooner or later. I just haven't got to it. But like there's a way, ain't there a way for you to like stream on like all platforms at once, like YouTube, Twitch? Like, so why don't you just make an account for Twitch and then just stream there and then nobody watches, who cares, like your other audiences. Right. I do have a Twitch account. Um I just I just never stream there, but um, yeah, you can like dual stream. Um I kind of don't know how to do that yet, but I'm looking it up. Uh again, I was just talking about. Yeah, I was just talking to my homie about this too, like a couple days ago. Um, but yeah, it's it's a process. I'm gonna do my research on it and it's gonna happen then. Okay. Where's the majority of your audience uh? Um TikTok and YouTube. Um some days I stream TikTok, some days I stream YouTube. Um I have like a little like uh Google Drive link where like people can like submit like edits of me or just like funny stuff or just like story times and have that on YouTube, um, have that on my TikTok bio too. Um so it's kind of heavy TikTok and YouTube. Okay. And then how big do clips play a part in your growth? Um if if anything, if anybody's just trying to start, I would say just just stream to get clips because that's kind of how everything's gonna go. That's the era that we're in right now. It's just, you know, you post something, exactly. You post something on TikTok, people like it. They might you might just get a follow. Or even better, you get a follow and somebody goes to your uh your Twitch or your YouTube and subscribe to you there. Um But clips is that's that's the era we're in right now. So um I would just say when you first start out, don't stream and expect to get 10 viewers. Just stream, even you have even if you have zero people, stream to get clips, clip farm if you have to. Even if it's cringy or corny, just post that shit. Exactly. Because you gotta get some momentum somewhere. Oh yeah. And then

Um my end goal is really to like my own, to make my own film. I'm like, damn, like how did they get that? And like part of me just like realizes like just run your own race. You know what I mean? You don't gotta you don't gotta compare yourself. Like you're one-on-one for real. Like everybody's one-on-one. Because at the end of the day, especially in this content game, or especially if you do like reactions and stuff like that, especially with pop culture and how shit is, like, how do I say this? That you could get pretty much the same shit or the same review from the same creator. The only difference is you. Like people are watching because they want to hear like what you have to say. What I mean? So I always think that even though somebody might be further along or have the similar guest as you, like your personality is what they're what you're bringing to the table. So that you're one of one. So I always try to keep that in mind. Definitely. And then what's one thing that your audience doesn't know about you yet? Um honestly, for majority of my audience, they don't really know my real name. Your real name's not Ronnie? Nah, my real name is Ronald Johnson, right? But like, you know, when I set up like my TTS and like people just like, you know, they just want to like talk. They always say, yo, Ron, or like, yo, Ronnie, or like call me some, like very sus or some shit. I don't know. But like most of them don't know my real name. And she kind of just assumed since I do content, I would just do any type of content. So uh she said, hey, um, you want you down to collab? And I looked at her page, and it's not really the content that I thought I was expecting, you know? Um So she does, she did OnlyFans, but like the her her like grid, like her pictures, it didn't really look like she's posting like, you know, she at the beach or she with like her girls or something. And then I went to the link and I seen the blue OF. I'm like, oh no, I'm not, this is not what we doing, honey. You almost got on streamer you, man. Yeah, it's how how was that? It's definitely a moment I always think about. Um because when he when he when he reacted to my stuff, I'm like, okay, this is this is serious. Cause like I went back to my YouTube and like, oh, I just got like an instant 100 subs. Like, this is crazy. And then okay, I'm like, okay, cool. He he reacted to it like all like positively. And then he said, let me see if he's streaming. So now I'm like, okay, let me fuck. Like, I'm at work. I can't, I can't do nothing. I can't really get out of this. I mean, I could've I could have like went live on my phone and just like just like said, yo, but like I'm at work. I got like my boss over there like staring at me like he over here looking at me like I'm over here laughing because like I got Kaisen at reacting to me. I don't care about whatever the fuck is going on right now. But yeah, I had to keep it cool. Um I couldn't do nothing about it, you know. Like I say, um everything happens for a reason. Um, so yeah.

So I mean at least you got a hundred subs out of it. That's that's that's pretty tough, bro. You know, you're inching up to your 1000 to hit your uh hit your monetization threshold. Yeah. That shit's tough. Like I don't think people understand how hard it is to get a thousand subscribers. Yeah, especially when especially when you post something or like you've been posting for like consistently and you haven't checked it. I try not to check it because I know the numbers can really get to you. Yeah. Um, so I be going on like stretches where I just don't check my subs, and then it hurts when like it hurts when you check and you don't get no subs, but it hurts worse when you check and you lose like two. So it's like, so you really don't fuck with me at all. Alright, that's cool. Yeah. But yeah, it's it's it's a real it's a real challenge in like many aspects when it comes to content, John. Facts, bro, facts.
